Greige: Hello, Mr Dragneel.
Natsu: *mock laughs* Hello, Mr Dragneel... What kind of fucking disgusting language is that!?
---
Greige: Can I take my coat off, Mr Dragneel?
Natsu: *points accusingly* HE'S STRIPPING OFF ALREADY!
---
Greige: Can I date your daughter, Mr Dragneel?
Natsu: *glaring at Greige innocently holding Nasha's hand* I know why you're here, pal! I know why you're fucking here... You're here for the very reason my daughter's here in the first place, so I FUCKING KNOW!"
---
Natsu: *can hear strange noise coming from Nasha's bedroom and goes to stand from the couch*
Lucy: Just leave them alone Natsu, and let 'em have a bit of fun.
Natsu: *hears the sound of kissing and proceeds to bolt up the stairs* Nope. Not a chance! I'm gonna kill him!

🌘 THE ECLIPSE a UNION of OPPOSITES 🌒
an analysis of the mythic motifs in dune part two through the lens of mythologist joseph campbell, and some predictions for dune messiah
• Divine Couple
• Death and Rebirth
• Redemption Through Divine Union
• House of Atreus
• Lunar-Masculine / Solar-Feminine
• Goddesses
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE ECLIPSE
This motif has been connected to Dune since the first film’s promo, especially with the concluding track of Dark Side of the Moon accompanying the initial trailer. Some fans believed this theme had been dropped as it wasn’t very present in the first film. However the eclipse continued throughout the promo of the second film. This was because Part Two is where the real pay off is, already in the first 10 minutes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This concept is intrinsic to Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation. Since the first film I have been saying that Dune embraces the Lunar-Masculine (Paul) and Solar-Feminine (Chani). However beyond just that, Dune: Part Two showcases multiple pairings of the lunar-solar dynamic.
But before we jump into that, let’s establish the meaning of an eclipses in general mythology. Typically they are a symbol of death and renewal. Common interpretations have a beast devouring the sun, or a celestial couple evading or pursuing one another. These interpretations are consistent over and again in Dune.
What we will see, is that the greater Imperium holds a Solar-Masculine identity, but when it comes to Arrakis there is a distinct shift to the Solar-Feminine archetype.
PAUL as the MOON
There are an innumerable amount of connections. Bull motifs are reoccurring throughout the first film, where he grew up on a water world. After all, the moon is associated with the tides. He takes the name Muad’Dib, and one of the moons of Arrakis has the icon of a Muad’Dib aka Desert Mouse visible on its surface. And ultimately, Paul experiences rebirth in Part Two.
Tumblr media
The bull is a figure of sacrifice which aligns very well with the lineage of House Atreides which can be traced back to the House of Atreus and it’s curse of familial murder, betrayal and symbolic consumption. Sacrifice of the children in each new generation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IRULAN and the GOLDEN LION THRONE
Starting here is a good place, because it shows the transition of the Solar-Masculine of the wider Imperium toward the Solar-Feminine of Arrakis. Irulan Corrino of House Corrino is the daughter of Emperor Shaddam who sits on the Golden Lion Throne. His reign is coming to a close as Paul rises on Arrakis, and with no male heirs Irulan his eldest is the successor destined for marriage. In this way Irulan becomes the embodiment of the Lion Throne, and her determination in Dune Messiah to produce Paul’s heir becomes clear. That function of the Queen Mother and how that feeds back into the Solar-Masculine as the King becomes tied to the lion and the throne once more.
In particular I would say her story is best reflected in the myth of the goddess Cybele who falls for Attis and when he falls for a mortal girl Cybele plots betrayal. Something for which she later feels guilt and tries to make amends for (Children of Dune).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PAUL and JESSICA
Their dynamic is incredibly complicated, but I think the opening of the film during the eclipse sums it up very well. You follow the path of the moon as it covers the sun, and as it meets its full coverage Paul is the one taking action in the fight against the Harkonnen. However as the moon passes by and the sun takes over again, Jessica emerges to save Paul’s life.
This was intentional by the filmmakers, as is revealed in the Art and Soul of Dune Part Two, DP Greig Fraser identified the exact time, date and location in order to shoot the sun as it appears directly behind Rebecca Ferguson.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jessica represents the sun on Arrakis, and in this scene we see how the moon dies into the sun to be reborn in their dynamic. It also lines up with motifs of the sun goddess giving birth to the sacrificial bull. Sacrifice toward this death and rebirth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What we see is the separation of mother and son that brings them back together in the same place. Paul takes the lead and rejects his mother’s influence, but she leads him toward the death and rebirth he must experience, and this brings them back to a common understanding.
Tumblr media
This is also why having Jessica sit the Atreides “throne” in the finale instead of Paul (who did so in the book) makes mythic sense. Because again we return to the Solar-Feminine mother as the throne, and her son as king. But in a different context here then what Irulan aspires toward.
Tumblr media
A SYMBOLIC UNION aka THE BULL SACRIFICE
The House Harkonnen family seal in the books is the griffin, which makes his introduction in a gladiator arena killing Atreides even more appropriate. Feyd’s birthday is also associated with a solar event. Because ultimately Feyd is the matador and Paul is the bull.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What works so fantastically about the dual, is how it is bathed in the sunlight. After all, the sun figure (day) is facing off against the moon (night) figure in this sequence. Plus the bull was the eventual demise of Paul’s grandfather who was a matador. This takes place at sunrise, and it’s a dual for the throne, where whoever is victorious inherits the Golden Lion Throne. The
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Denis specially describes the dual as a symbolic union, and it works on multiple layers. This bull sacrifice, is in essence the quote from part one of “when you take a life you take your own” so Paul killing Feyd is penetration, intimacy, it is rebirth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is also reminiscent of how Campbell describes the sun-moon twins of Navajo myth:
The two, Sun-child and Water-child, antagonistic yet cooperative, represent a single cosmic force, polarized, split, and turned against itself in mutual portions. The life-supporting sap-power, mysterious in the lunar rhythm of its tides, growing and decaying at a time, counters and tempers the solar file of the zenith, life- desiccating it its brilliance, yet by whose heat all lives.
— Joseph Campbell's Commentary from "Where the Two Came to Their Father: A Navaho War Ceremonial" by Jeff King and Maud Oakes
DESERT SPRING TEARS and DIVINE UNION
Tumblr media
There is a section in the Dune Encyclopedia that talks about the foundation of the Bene Gesserit beliefs. In particular the teachings of a certain ancestral memory personality, called Inanna (yes that is the name of the Sumerian goddess who was also in a divine union caught between life and death glad you asked) about the Kwisatz Haderach. It basically establishes that the entire premise of the Bene Gesserit and the Kwisatz Haderach is in essence the Divine Couple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It specifies two mirrored dynamics the son saved/resurrected by the mother and the husband saved/resurrected by the wife. Inanna called them Au Set and Au Sar. The Kemet names for Isis and Osiris. The idea of the Bene Gesserit would have this as the mother of the KH, and the Corrino princess he would have married. But with things thrown off course, it represents outside their control.
In Dune, we see it between Paul and Chani. Like Isis who has the solar disc and Osiris who is tied to water and death, her lover has died and she is the one to revive him.
Furthermore the concept of mythical tears can be found in the goddess Freya (who arguably is compatible with sun-goddess motifs) who weeps when her husband Odin is lost to her.
But perhaps most compatible—the healing tears of a phoenix. A bird archetype similar to Isis as bird. This is where the yin-yang dynamic of Chani and Paul becomes most apparent, since the serpent is synonymous with the bull and therefore Paul who “makes peace with Shai-Hulud” encompasses the dragon (yang) as a complement to Chani’s phoenix (yin).
In the behind the scenes of Dune Part Two, the Maker Temple is said to be designed like the infinity symbol with the two circles (one of sand and one of water). Sand being death and water being life, but also the reverse. As the sandworm thrives in the sand but is drowned in the water. And Paul is stuck between life and death, literally laying between both pools, when Chani comes to resurrect him.
Tumblr media
This film literally has three kisses. Their first kiss when Chani says she will show him the way of the Fremen, their second kiss on screen when she says he will never lose her before going South, and the third symbolic kiss of life.
This marriage/death is also foreshadowed in Paul’s visions in Part One when Chani kisses him and then stabs him. Which is where we return to Isis and Osiris because Paul’s death state (dying again as we established, after killing Feyd, similar in a way to Set and Osiris) is where we will eventually get the twins Leto II and Ghanima with Leto II being the Horus in this equation.
Tumblr media
As the Pink Floyd lyrics say, the sun is eclipsed by the moon and this is captured in the heartbreak Chani feels over losing Paul and losing her people to the Lisan al Gaib. The Fremen way of life has been eclipsed and over taken by the Atreides and the Bene Gesserit. Here we see more of the concept of that beast devouring the sun from the beginning, verses the celestial couple dynamic.
Chani leaving the residency chamber is also reminiscent of certain myths like Amaterasu going into hiding, or the Inuit folktale about the sun goddess fleeing her moon god brother/lover who pursues her.
However the Dune Encyclopedia also talks about the concept of redemption (which is why in the film Mohiam asks Margot if Feyd is capable of redemption) of the “mate savior”. The Kwisatz Haderach. They would bring about a release from bondage through redemption and rebirth.
Tumblr media
Which is relevant to the dynamic of Paul and Chani in Dune Messiah for Denis, because he has said Paul is going to be looking to save his soul in part three, and how Paul and Chani come back together won’t just be explained away off screen between films. It will be that continued cycle of rebirth, through redemptive love. Rebirth as a whole in Dune is worth its own discussion, since all the different Jungian descriptions of it can be found within this universe.
Tumblr media
CONCLUSION
The eclipse, a lunar-solar dynamic representing the union of opposites, is very significant in Dune Part Two and sheds a lot of light onto what we can anticipate next in Dune Messiah, particularly in regards to the central romance between Paul and Chani and the changes Denis has made from book to screen.

I've got a theory about why this happened, and I think the other Mandoverse shows support it, especially Mando S3. Basically, these shows have over-committed to using the Volume to the point that it hurts their action scenes. Not just in terms of how they look and feel, but what can even be put in front of the camera.
As Greig Fraser (the brilliant DoP who worked on early Mando as well as Rogue One, Dune and The Batman, and first got the Volume to work) has said, the Volume comes with pretty steep limitations. Spielberg has managed to do some things with it that Fraser hadn't thought possible, but for the most part it restricts what angles you can shoot at and also what movement you can have. Film Crit Hulk talks about it in more detail re Mando back in 2020:
Note HOW MANY times they’re standing relatively flat and the camera angle is directly parallel to a ground so that it puts the horizon in the same 1/3 of the frame spot behind them. They do this because if they raise the camera higher (as many shots should and would) it would reveal the “boxy” angle of the stage. It may seem small, but it REALLY de-emphasizes the natural surrounding and I’m worried it’s hurting the overall look of the show.
And it occurs to me that arguably the best-shot action of that series is probably the one where they went out and just filmed in the California hills. Note how Boba gets to tower over that one Stormtrooper and how there's a real sense of wham when he lands.
youtube
If you're shooting everything in a context where nothing can move all that fast, though, it really hurts your most kinetic characters. When Kelleran Beq gets his showcase in Mando S3, the camera can't move to add oomph to his strikes or give him a hero shot (in Kenobi you see them trying this with Vader, but they have to stop short of an angle which will actually give the image punch). If you've seen Dune Part Two, think of how the camera races along with Paul and Chani in some of their fights with the Harkonnens. That's wholly missing here.
And this also impacts the old jet packs (and Jedi acrobatics, for the most part). Whereas Jango could rocket around merrily, it's notable that the Children and the Nite Owls alike only really use their packs for dedicated aerial scenes. In the pirate fight, you can easily imagine them boosting from rooftop to rooftop and sparking even more "high ground" memes, but instead they conduct the fight entirely at a walking pace and on the ground.
And all of this hurts Sabine in particular, because like Ahsoka, she originated in animation and has previously been depicted in a really kinetic way. Even without a jetpack, she's a very acrobatic fighter in Rebels, and it's one of the things which makes her a really fun character. But in the process of moving to live-action, Filoni and co opted to change the characters to fit the Mandoverse style, instead of changing the style to fit the characters. The result is that lots of the things that first made Sabine so cool and fun just aren't really possible now.

First NHL Hat Trick for Our Favourite 1OA April 9, 2024
Pregame Media Ops: Slaf commenting on how all the young guys on the team are growing... A nice, humble reflection from the one who's had the steepest growth this season:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First Period 1:05: Matheson rips it and scores. The guys are pumped, Matty leads the high five line in front of the bench.
Tumblr media
Oh, wait. It deflected off Slaf, who was obstructing the goalie's view at the net. #17 on the season for this kiddo.
Kelly Greig caught up with him during intermission to give him credit for the deflection. After apologizing for not having much of a voice for the interview, Slaf laughed off the praise as usual:
Tumblr media
Second period 8:43: Suzy dishes a nice pass that Slaf puts right into the net.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cue Slaf immediately crediting Suzy for that Spooky Suzuki pass:
Tumblr media
Of course Cole had to grab Slaf's face... because who can resist pinching those goofy baby boy cheeks?
Not Coco, the king of nose boop cellys and chin scratches, obviously.
And Slaf was all... 😝
Tumblr media
Goal #18, check. 2-0, Montreal. Little guy returns to the bench all smiles... and on hatty watch.
Gally scores, 3-0. And then, after RHP hit a player and created a little space, he and Slaf executed a quick line change and Savy sent a long pass in his direction, for this beauty at 11:22:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it started raining hats... A pretty special experience for the fans and for Slaf, who later quipped that he'd had a hat trick as a kid and the only one who threw his hat was his dad. [I don't know whether that's a laugh about it or cry about it piece of information, but anyhow it's very endearing.]
Tumblr media
TSN's Frankie Corrado was thrilled and may have used the phrase "ELITE SNIPER JURAJ SLAFKOVSKÝ!" and gushed a little about Slaf's perfect-for-Montreal personality. [He loves Junior, and I am here for it.]
His teammates weren't bothered by his success either and gave him a round of fist bumps, head pats and congratulatory stick taps. Mike snatched up the puck before skating over and giving Slaf a little extra congratulations, Suzy reached over the bench to give him a good stick tap, and Newy had a happy head pat for the team's baby. Slaf later mentioned that one of the guys saved a hat for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Montreal went on to score 5 more goals, ending the game 9-3. Big W.
The three stars at the Bell Centre:
⭐⭐⭐ Dvo
⭐⭐ Gally
⭐ Slaf
The little fist bump between Gally and Slaf in the tunnel... Aww.
Tumblr media
First career hat trick, 19 on the season now. How did that feel when you saw the hats flying on the ice?
—Marc Denis, RDS
Slaf wasn't able to respond right away because of cheers coming from the crowd. He asked if he should respond then decided to wait a little.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once the crowd quieted enough, Marc Denis asked him a few questions, and Slaf mentioned how happy he was for Dvo (who scored two goals in his first game after returning from injury/surgery) "and especially for Gally." (who also scored two goals and got an assist).
Listen, we've seen it a couple of times… You're pretty calm and quiet right now but you're had some crazy reactions when you're scoring goals.
Juraj, immediately... 😝
Tumblr media
Where does that comes from?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marc Denis translated his answers for the crowd and Slaf broke out his best "Merci beaucoup!" walking the fine line between cracking himself up and patting himself on the back for his efforts as he signed the lens:
Tumblr media
The kid was happy, the team was happy for him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He hasn't stopped smiling and he shouldn't. I mean, it's a pretty cool moment for him, especially to be at home for the fans to obviously reward him like that. I mean, they support him. They love him for a reason. I think he's gonna be a good player here for a long time, an important player on this team.
—Brendan Gallagher, Montreal Canadiens, Post Game, April 9, 2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The progression he's had this year is unbelievable. He's a special player, so it's been a lot of fun to watch him from up top per the TV. Now to see it on the ice, see his first hat trick, was a special moment. Yeah, he was having a good time.
—Christian Dvorak, Montreal Canadiens, Post Game, April 9, 2024
Slaf was beaming during the post game media ops, although admitted that he hadn't been able to nap that afternoon because he just couldn't fall asleep.
Tumblr media
He was pretty hoarse, too, but shrugged it off as no big deal, jokingly adding that being tired and under the weather was a small price to pay if it helped to achieve the same results every game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After a little more chatting, one of the reporters brought up Slaf's latest history-making accomplishment...
Maybe you've been asked, but you're the second youngest player to score a hat trick for the Habs. How does it feel?
...which led to a classic *humble shrug* Slaf moment:
Tumblr media
I don't even know these records. It's not important. [ … ] It's not about records, it's… Yeah… I'm just happy for team win, and yeah, I got lucky, scored three. [ Laughs ]
—Juraj Slafkovský, Montreal Canadiens, Post Game, April 9, 2024
The Habs can count their team lucky to have scored such a gem of a kid.
Slaf's parents, Juraj, Sr. and Gabriela, and his little sister, Lucia, had recently left Montreal after visiting him for his 20th birthday, so they didn't see his hatty in person, but some of his friends were who were visiting from Košice were at the game and got to celebrate the win with him and some teammates.
After the game, my friends and I went to a restaurant with a few guys from the team. It was a great evening. We were heading to New York the next morning, so I couldn't stay up too late. Unlike my pre-game nap, I didn't have any trouble falling asleep. I took some medicine since I was a little sick—I had lost my voice, I had a cold and a runny nose. Nothing too serious. With three goals against the Flyers, I have 19 goals. I don't really like talking about my personal records. I've already said it: I want to win, I want to help my team. But I'm not gonna lie, I want to reach 20 goals. I still have three games left to do it. I can say the same thing for the 50 points—I have 48 after 78 games. Reaching those personal goals would be great. At the beginning of the season, those numbers looked unrealistic but then things improved. My game has probably grown more than some people expected, but I don't want to slow down.

I really do hate how much contemporary art wings or museums give me headaches. It's like sensory hell 90% of the time:
The worst soul sucking vibrating white on the walls. Brighter than landlord white. Brighter than dorm room white. It's neon white. Death to white box rooms in galleries and museums. Hate that shit. Smh it's worse than neutral greige.
Floors are also usually terrible. Shiny concrete or hospital chic tile type of shit. Everything is literally colder because of it. Bring back polished old wood and carpet!!! Or cream/ivory tile!!
It feels like the chrome episode of SpongeBob tbh
Tumblr media
ACTUAL neon and flashing lights are unfortunately common and while I don't normally find those to be a huge issue, see them combined with above white paint and despair. Had a contemporary curator guest lecturer berate me in grad school for politely asking to move away from the loud room with pulsing lights in order to focus on the discussion better bc I could feel a headache building.
(I also disliked her immensely because she assigned pretentious overwritten contemporary curatorial readings but knew very little about museum theory and also got mad when I pointed out someone's mock exhibition proposal on a staircase was LITERALLY wheelchair inaccessible. All those stupid fucking readings on diversity and the contemporary art world or whatever the fuck and me saying "hey if this exhibition was literally mounted going up a staircase, how will people with disabilities access it?" Was apparently an appallingly rude critique of a final project which was meant to be as realistic as possible and not the most basic fucking question of accessibility. I still get so angry whenever I think about it. A whole class of curatorial theory and "okay but how do people see that cool art if they can't walk on stairs?" Was something No one else in the room considered. Dumb. Pure contemporary curatorial theory is divorced from reality entirely.)
Too many pieces have audio clips on repeat, and an unfortunately large number of the audio sounds are discordant or unpleasant on purpose. Shrieks, squeals, chanting, whatever. Volume levels are never standardized (it can alternate quiet and LOUD) and shit frequently echoes. How tf did I not go insane when I was student working front desk at a contemporary art museum?? Even if there's headphones you can often still hear the buzzing noise coming from outside them. Very specific form of torture when you experience it for several hours on repeat. Especially the quiet humming of the lights or electronics and repetitive audio.
Video clips with light flickering, flashing, or color changes are fine for me briefly or alone but for more than ten minutes? Death.

Dress To Impress 🤍
Hello! This is my very first Gruvia oneshot I’m new to this writing stuff and I’m not very good at it. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve please let me know! However I ask that you be kind or I will die.
anyway, enjoy! :)
➽──────────────────────❥
“Greige! You get back here!”
“No!”
“You need to shower before Mama gets back!”
“Greige doesn’t want to shower! Greige wants to be stinky!”
Greige Fullbuster, age 5 and rebellious. Gray was doing everything in his power to get his son to bathe before his wife returned home. It usually isn’t this difficult however today was the young lad’s kindergarten class party. Gray knows his son. He knows Greige ate all kinds of sweets. So now Greige is hyper and running around while Gray is desperately trying to catch him to give the boy a shower.
Gray rubbed the temples on the side of his head and heaved a sighed. He was about to give up on his pursuit. Then an idea came to him. He smiled mischievously and thought to himself ‘Gray Fullbuster you are a genius!!’ He cleared his throat. “Greige, Your mama won’t give you any cuddles or kisses if don’t shower.” The boy stopped in his tracks.
He looked up at his father and pouted. “Mama doesn’t care if Greige’s doesn’t shower! She’ll still give Greige all the cuddles and kisses!” Gray chucked. He felt bad lying to his son. After all it was true Juvia would still love on Greige even if he hadn’t showered. But Gray was desperate. “I’m not so sure about that son. Mama doesn’t kiss or cuddle Papa when he’s stinky” Greige gasped in realization. Gray knew that the boy would catch on to what he was suggesting. For being only five years old, Greige was smart. “Papa is right. Greige should shower quick before Mama gets here! Or else Greige won’t get any cuddles or kisses!” Greige scurried down the hallway and into the bathroom. Gray would follow after him shortly. He just had to celebrate first. He threw his fist in the air and mouthed ‘Yes!’ and did a little victory dance. “Papa! What are you doing! We have to hurry mama is coming soon!” Greige shouted peeking his head out of the bathroom door. Gray nodded and hurried into the bathroom to help his son bathe.
Juvia walked inside the door to her shared home with Gray. She was carrying a grocery bag in one hand and a baby on her hip with the other. She placed the grocery bag on the kitchen table and put the baby girl in a high chair. She sat down at the table next to her baby and sighed. Shopping can be very tiring for Juvia especially when she has one of her little ones with her. “Well sweetheart, I think our shopping experience today was successful” The baby cooed at her mothers words. “Is that you honey?” Gray shouted from down the hallway “Yes darling it’s me!” Juvia shouted back. She smiled gently at the baby girl that was next to her. Gray walked into the kitchen toward the table. He gave his wife a peck on the lips and ruffled his two year olds hair. “Hello my favorite girls” Gray picked up the baby from the high chair and into his arms. “How was shopping with Vi?” Gray asked as he bounced the baby in his arms. “Better this time. I managed to calm her down before she had a tantrum” Gray smiled at the baby in his arms. “That’s good. Hopefully the store owners will lay off our asses for what happened last time” Gray’s face quickly changed from a happy smiled to an angry expression. The thought of what happened last time was enough to piss him off. Violet was only two years old and already showing signs of possessing Juvia’s water magic. The last time the Fullbusters went to the grocery store. Let’s just say Juvia may or may not have taken a candy Violet grabbed from the shelf away from her.. Violet began to weep and the store flooded. The store owners made a big deal out of the situation and were not very understanding. After all Violet was just a baby and it’s not her fault she can’t regulate her emotions. It didn’t help that the store owner wasn’t a mage. Despite this they payed for the damages and apologized.
“Hey, where’s Greige?” Juvia asked. “He’s gonna join us in a bit” Gray chuckled.
“Oh okay..” The water mage was confused as to what her husband was laughing about but didn’t question it. She got up and began to prepare for dinner.
‘Later!’
It took Juvia 30 minutes to prepare dinner. Once it was done she had Gray set the table. As Juvia was about to start serving her husband. She realized somebody was still missing. “Greige! Dinners ready!” She called out to the boy. “Greige’s coming!” Greige shouted back. After about a minute, Greige entered the kitchen. He was dressed in an all white tux with a flower from Juvia’s garden in his hands. Juvia looked at the boy confused. Before she could ask him why he was dressed the way he was, He handed her the flower and spoke up. “Good evening Mama, Greige is pleased to make your acquaintance” Juvia fawned at Greige’s cuteness. ‘SO CUTE!!’ she thought. Gray paused his baby talk with his daughter and looked at the show going on in front of him. “MY LITTLE PRINCE! YOU LOOK SO DAPPER IN THAT SUIT~!!” Juvia said as she embraced Greige and kissed his forehead and cheeks repeatedly. Greige giggled as Juvia smothered him with kisses. Gray smiled at the pair. “Greige, Mama loves your outfit but why is Greige dressed so fancy?” Juvia asked Greige as ruffled his hair. “Because Papa said Mama won’t give Greige kisses or cuddles if Greige didn’t shower. Greige wanted to look nice so that Mama would give extra cuddles and kisses” Juvia turned her gaze over to Gray, whose attention was suddenly now on their baby girl. “Who’s Papa’s princess! You are!” Gray cooed at his baby girl. pretending as though he did not hear any of his wife and child’s conversation. “Oh? Papa told Greige that?” Juvia said. her eye twitching slightly as she looked at Gray who was still avoiding her gaze. Greige nodded confirming again. “Well that’s just not true Greige. Mama loves you even when you don’t want to shower. She’ll still give all the cuddles and kisses you want. Papa only said that because it is important to shower. If Greige wants to be big and strong like Mama and Papa one day, he has to stay healthy. Showers keep you healthy.” she smiled. her attention back on her son. “So Greige was correct. Greige will shower if it means he can be as strong as Mama and Papa! Because Greige Loves Mama and Papa!” Juvia beamed at her son’s words. She loves her baby boy, knowing he loves her just as much fills her heart with joy. “Mama can Greige ask you something?” “Of course, Greige can ask Mama whatever he wants. Mama will always answer” Greige glanced toward Gray who again was pretending as though he didn’t get caught manipulating his son to get him to shower. He focused his gaze back to his mother and spoke “Would mama still kiss papa if he was stinky and didn’t shower?” Juvia took a second to think about her response. Yet she knew just what to say. “No. Mama wouldn’t kiss Papa if he was stinky” Juvia’s said as Gray sulked in the corner with his baby girl. ‘Serves him right. how could he lie to our precious angel!’ Juvia thought. “But Mama loves Papa like Mama loves Greige, so why doesn’t Mama kiss Papa when Papa doesn’t shower?” “Well that’s because Papa knows better. Greige is little and is still learning. Juvia said as she glanced at Gray who looked at her with a smile on his face. she playfully rolled her eyes at him. “Greige understands, He wants to eat now please” Greige said as he walked to the table to join his father and little sister. Juvia followed after him sitting down next to Greige opposite of Gray. ‘I’m sorry’ Gray mouthed. Juvia glared at him and mouthed ‘It’s okay but we are talking about this later’ And so the Fullbusters ate their dinner. Greige talked about his day at school and what he and Nasha did together. Gray talked about the recent mission he had as he fed Violet. Juvia talked about how she found a new cook book and more seeds for her garden. Violet just cooed and babbled as the three spoke about their days.
LATER
Gray and Juvia tucked Greige in, they both gave him a kiss on the forehead and said their goodnights. Gray closed the door to Greige’s room as he and Juvia stepped out. They quickly peek their heads into their toddlers room to see that she was fast asleep. The pair walked to their shared room and began preparing for bed. All was calm and well. After doing her nightly routine, Juvia climbed into bed next to Gray. He extended his arms out and pulled her into his chest. Juvia sighed and relaxed instantly due to Gray’s touch. He kissed the top of her forehead and pulled his fingers through her long blue hair. “So you want to tell me why you’re lying to our Greige” Juvia asked. Gray haulted his movements. “Baby, you have to understand our boy is rebellious and doesn’t listen to a thing I say unless you’re around” He pleaded. Juvia wasn’t convinced.“Go on” “I had tried to persuade him with sweets but that’s all they gave him at school. He was so hyper and I did my best to think of the one thing he couldn’t refuse. That’s when I got an idea. I used you to get him to shower because I know he’d do anything for you. If showering meant he’d get extra kisses and cuddles Greige would do it all the time. Because he loves you.” Gray explained. “I didn’t tell him to put on his best vest or anything like that— that was all him. he was just so exited to impress you and he even got you a flower from the garden. So in the end he showered and you got to see just how much Greige loves his Mama” Juvia sighed. Gray did have a point. Although he did use her to his advantage, she got a cute little moment that she’s going to cherish forever out of it. “Okay, you’re forgiven. Next time I suggest telling something else that doesn’t involve me. You know he really wants to know more about your Ice magic. I bet if you promise to show him a cool magic trick that he’d shower in the blink of an eye” Gray pondered over it. “You’re right honey that’s great suggestion. I’ll do my best to persuade him with things that’ll benefit him too” And with that Gray pecked Juvia’s lips and the two drifted away into sleep.
(I hope you enjoyed this little one-shot! lmk if you have any suggestions on how I can improve!! or any requests!!)

c.275 AD. – St. Sebastian was born in the 3rd century AD. We know the date, but not the year. He is the patron saint of archers because he was bound to a stake and shot with arrows. He is also the patron saint of soldiers. As a beautiful young man he was the favorite of the emperor Diocletian who turned against him for embracing Christianity.
Some tales speculate that the Emperor Diocletian made romantic advances upon Sebastian and was enraged when Sebastian rejected him on Christian grounds. Other stories actually refer to Sebastian as the emperor's lover. Whether or not such accounts are legitimate, the image of St. Sebastian has been linked to homoeroticism.
According to the Church's official Acta Sanctorum, Sebastian, serving under the emperors Diocletian and Maximian, came to the rescue of Christian soldiers, Marcellinus and Mark, and thereby confessed his own Christianity. Diocletian insisted that Sebastian be shot to death by his fellow archers; these orders were followed, and Sebastian was left for dead.
These details—based on accounts written centuries after Sebastian's death and therefore largely apocryphal—may have helped form Sebastian's subsequent reputation as a homosexual martyr since his story constitutes a kind of "coming out" tale followed by his survival of an execution that may be read symbolically as a penetration.
In the Renaissance, Sebastian emerged as an extraordinarily popular subject for painters, perhaps rivaled only by Jesus and Mary; he was especially prized by artists who saw in the young saint a figure of Hellenic loveliness. Numerous painters—Tintoretto, Mantegna, Titian, Guido Reni, Giorgione, Perugino, Botticelli, Bazzi ("Il Sodoma")—recast Sebastian as a martyr beatifically receptive to his arrow-ridden fate.
It was primarily the Renaissance depiction of Sebastian that served a later, explicitly homosexual cult of St. Sebastian that took hold with remarkable force beginning in the nineteenth century, with Sebastian as an modern emblem of both a homoerotically charged object of desire and a source of solace for the rejected homosexual.

1900 – British actor Colin Clive (d.1937) is born in Saint-Malo, France to an English colonel, Colin Philip Greig, and his wife, Caroline Margaret Lugard Clive. He attended Stonyhurst College and subsequently Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where an injured knee disqualified him from military service and contributed to his becoming a stage actor. Clive studied acting, and replaced Laurence Olivier in the stage play, Journey’s End, in 1927.
James Whale was the director of Journey's End. The two struck up an intimate relationship, and Clive played the lead in Journey’s End when it moved to the Savoy Theater in London in 1928. Clive was embraced by Whale’s theatrical friends including actress Elsa Lanchester. He followed Whale to New York City and Whale facilitated the casting of Clive in the movie version of the play.
Journey’s End was Clive’s first of 18 feature films. Clive appeared on Broadway in Overture. When the play closed, he went to London and starred with Elsa Lanchester in The Stronger Sex.
Clive is perhaps best known for playing the role of Dr. Henry Frankenstein in the James Whale-directed Frankenstein (1931) and in the Bride of Frankenstein (1935) with his friend Elsa Lanchester.
Though Clive was gay, he married actress Jeanne de Casalis in 1929, but the marriage was one of convenience, and they separated a short time later.
Clive was a member of the Brit ex-patriot actors in Hollywood including Lanchester, Karloff and Charles Laughton, and remained close with Whale.
The actor struggled with his sexual identity and suffered alcoholism and depression from an early age. His drinking became more and more problematic professionally. He often came to work drunk and passed out on the set. He was even fired from a starring role in a film when he suffered a breakdown.
Clive’s final film was in 1937, The Woman I Love. Colin Clive died on June 25, 1937, of tuberculosis complicated by chronic alcoholism. He was 37 years old. Actress Mae Clarke, one of his leading ladies, said, "Colin was the handsomest man I ever saw and also the saddest."

1979 – Will Young is an English singer and actor. He catapulted to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural UK Pop Idol contest. He has continued to work in music, and also as an actor.
Contrary to popular belief, Will did not come from behind to win the contest. After having beaten the widely-accepted frontrunner Gareth Gates in the final show, it emerged that he had in fact gained the most votes in six out of the nine weeks of the live show.
Young's first single was a double A-side featuring Evergreen and Anything Is Possible. In March 2002 this became the fastest-selling debut in UK chart history, selling 403,027 copies on its day of release (1,108,659 copies in its first week). It went on to sell over 1.7 million copies, and in the official list of the all-time best-selling singles in the UK issued later that year it was 11th. On 31 December 2009, Radio 1 confirmed that Anything Is Possible/Evergreen was the biggest selling single of the 2000s decade in the United Kingdom.
Young subsequently revealed that he was gay, in order to pre-empt a tabloid newspaper that was preparing to run a story 'outing' him. He also stated that he had never hidden, and was comfortable with, his sexuality.
Later in the year, Young met comedian David Walliams and the pair became good friends, with Young appearing at the Little Britain live stage show in Manchester, and later recording a podcast with Walliams, in which they chatted about various aspects of Young's career.
Will added acting to his repertoire when he accepted a role in the BBC film Mrs Henderson Presents, starring Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins. The film was released in the UK in November 2005 to excellent reviews — not least for Young's performance as both actor and singer in the film.

Mack is a father of ten children and was engaged to a woman. In 2015, he appeared in a Dawgpoundusa.com production titled Holiday Hump'n along with gay pornographic actors Bamm Bamm and Young Buck under the name Philly. He initially claimed he had been drugged by the film's producers and had no recollection of making the film, but later told WTXF-TV that he was gay and had lied to cover that up.
Yusaf later had a "coming out party" at Rage nightclub in Weho, a longtime landmark on the L.A. gay scene.

Today's Gay Wisdom
For The Straight Folks Who Don't Mind Gays But Wish They Weren't So BLATANT
by Pat Parker
You know, some people got a lot of nerve. Sometimes I don't believe the things I see and hear. Have you met the woman who's shocked by two women kissing and in the same breath, tells you she is pregnant? BUT gays, shouldn't be so blatant. Or this straight couple sits next to you in a movie and you can't hear the dialogue because of the sound effects. BUT gays shouldn't be so blatant. And the woman in your office spends an entire lunch hour talking about her new bikini drawers and how much her husband likes them. BUT gays shouldn't be so blatant. Or the "hip" chick in your class rattling like a mile a minute while you're trying to get stoned in the john, about the camping trip she took with her musician boyfriend. BUT gays shouldn't be so blatant. You go in a public bathroom and all over the walls there's John loves Mary, Janice digs Richard, Pepe loves Delores, etc., etc. BUT gays shouldn't be so blatant. Or your go to an amusement park and there's a tunnel of love and pictures of straights painted on the front and grinning couples are coming in and out. BUT gays shouldn't be so blatant. Fact is, blatant heterosexuals are all over the place. Supermarkets, movies, on your job, in church, in books, on television every day day and night, every place - even in gay bars and they want gay men and woman to go and hide in the closet. So to you straight folks I say, "Sure, I'll go if you go too" BUT I'm polite, so, after you.

Do I STILL really believe Nalu won’t happen?
Short answer: No.
But you know that's not how we do things here.
It feels so good to be back! (sort of, at least) I know I've been away for some time. Part of it is being busy with things in real life. Part of it is mental health not doing too well. Some of my plans for things have shifted quite a bit, as you might be able to tell.
All that said, this hasn't changed.
I haven't talked about this in the proper context of the sequels. I've taken shots at the ship. But have I given this ship the treatment I'd probably be expected to?
Or, at least, have I explained my reasons for still doubting the ship will happen? Because I don't have to like that a ship is happening to believe it will happen.
Speaking of which, what better place to start with than talking about that other ship I rag on a lot: Gruvia. I've said this a few times, but I don't like Mashima's writing of Gruvia in the sequel. To be brief, the ship's focus is different from what I believe it should be. And having Juvia as an active series member has long since passed the point of straining reality.
At the same time, no one denies that Gray has decided to accept Juvia's feelings. He's come to terms with himself in this regard and will accept Juvia as a lover once the mission ends. (How are we still on the fourth dragon?) It's hard to see something like Gray wishing for an alternate universe where he's married with a kid and ask myself, "How serious is Mashima about this ship happening?" You know, as if it isn't only a matter of time.
The issue is that Nalu isn't on that level. That sounds like me being biased and denying the reality right, especially if I listen to certain people.
But let's compare these two ships and what's happened to them in the sequel.
When the gang visited Fairy Nali, their version of Juvia was the catalyst for Gray being as open with Juvia as he's poised to be. Fairy Nali has its own Nalu, but nothing meaningful came from it. Natsu got jealous because of Lucy, but that's not brought up again and doesn't affect anything.
They go to Edolas and see their alternate-world kids. I'll grant you that Natsu and Gray want to bring their "kids" to the Earthland. But what else happens? I mentioned what goes on with Greige already. Ashley talks with Lucy about the possibility of a future romance with Natsu, but she's not meaningfully moved by it.
Come to think of it, there was a similar conversation to that when they were on the Earth God Dragon. Lucy heard Touka had a romantic interest in Natsu. Her response wasn't one of jealousy. She figured it wouldn't go well once she heard about it. (It's almost as if she knows that Natsu isn't currently interested in a romantic relationship if he ever will be.)
Nothing showed that more than the one moment I've talked about the most from the sequel: Natsu and the women in his heart. The fact that Natsu's bunch of women is canonically juxtaposed with Gray's feelings for Juvia shows that Mashima's taking this ship as a joke.
To be a Nalu shipper, I must believe one of a few realities. It's possible that Natsu does have romantic feelings for all these women and can't decide between them. You know, despite Wendy being in that bunch. It's also possible Mashima, being in tune with fandom, is trying to appease fans of Natsu's most-popular ships, even outside of Nalu. It wasn't as if I expected anything involving Nali in the sequel. My theory, which I alluded to when it happened, is Mashima making a callback to a sketch he made a while back. That would explain why Mira and Cana were there but don't talk. They weren't in that old sketch.
I can't say for sure what this moment is supposed to mean. But I know that this isn't helping Nalu's case as a romantic ship. Not just because it's multiple women. Not just because Gray's only interested in Juvia. Natsu's focus in the matter is that Yakune put his friends against him. Not women he's interested in romantically used to distract him.
By the way, I'm sick of having to say this after eight years of having this blog. But I guess some things never change. Characters being put in awkward potentially sexual positions isn't proof your ship will happen. At best, it's a cheap gag that could reveal characters' feelings through their reactions. At worst, it's one of the most annoying tropes of the medium we love and want to take more seriously. Lucy wanting Natsu to touch her anywhere doesn't hold the kind of weight I'm annoyed to know so many fans want it to have. That doesn't matter how real or fake Lucy or whoever else is.
But what tells me Nalu isn't likely isn't any of that. It's not anything involving Gruvia or chapter 71 of the sequel. I don't think I'd say this a few years ago. But the thing that sells me against Nalu is Jerza. Of course, this isn't to say Jerza happening would jeopardize Nalu. But Jerza has been making strides toward becoming canon.
A few years ago, I concluded that Erza would never willingly leave Fairy Tail, even to be with Jellal. That means the only way Jerza could happen would be if Jellal accepted his actions as being forgiven and was willing to join Erza to some degree. This could be joining Fairy Tail or some sort of mutual partnership outside of it. Mind you, this was for how I was thinking of how to pair them in rewriting the series. (Also, thank "Kidnapping Erza".)
Now, what's happened in the sequel?
Awkward and annoying as it is, Jellal put his past behind him. At this point, it's more a matter of conviction, similar to Gray not using Iced Shell. Erza invited Jellal to join Fairy Tail. He's currently considering the offer and isn't too enthusiastic about it. But if the guild was willing to accept Gajeel destroying the guild and stapling Shadow Gear to a tree, Jellal's not too far from being accepted by the guild. Not because Tower of Heaven isn't objectively worse. Because if the one person in the guild hurt by his actions is willing to accept him, no one else has any reason to reject him. Especially considering she might become the next guild leader if Makarov dies (again).
And all the while, they genuinely get flustered at the idea of being in a relationship with each other. The notion of a Jerza romance is treated as all but a certainty by characters familiar with them multiple times in canon, including the the past few chapters we’ve got from the sequel. As far as I can tell, no one operates under the assumption this ship isn't happening. Nothing has convinced me this shouldn't be the case.
What can I say of Nalu in this regard?
It's one thing if I question whether or not Nalu will happen. I've never seriously liked it and have outright said it won't and shouldn't happen multiple times for multiple reasons. In years past, I probably would point to that and call it a day. But, if there’s any benefit to being away for the past few months, I’ve had time to justify something crazy.
For the past few years, Nalu fans have questioned if the ship will happen. People who like the ship genuinely wonder if Mashima will make the ship happen or if they're right to doubt its prospects. I've seen this all over the internet, not just here on Tumblr. It’s a question people bring up on Reddit. It’s mentioned in places like Youtube and Twitter.
And as much as people will reassure them that it's going to happen, this isn't true of the other ships in the Big 4. As a fandom, we're convinced Jerza will happen. We're convinced Gruvia will happen. No matter how people feel about them, I don't see anywhere near as many people questioning these ships happening as Nalu.  Gajevy's already happened, and we know how that's supposed to go.
And, to be honest, this has been amazing to notice. Going from everyone taking Nalu for granted to seeing the whispers of Nalu not being as possible genuinely makes me feel so vindicated. When I made my big post about Nalu years back, I was terrified someone would tell me I was wrong and tear down my post as idiotic. If I were to remake that post now, I'd have so much fewer worries making the post. Even making the sequel to that post after Mashima’s supposed positive comments about Nalu at NYCC was so much easier knowing they weren’t meant to be.
It's almost a shame that I've all but run out of things to say about the ship. At this point, there's not a whole lot else for me to say but "I told you so, idiots" to the people who doubted me and those who agreed with me. It's not unlikely that something new will happen that requires me to talk about Nalu between now and Mashima's final decision on the ship. Something always comes up, be it a moment or something in fandom. Some Nalu fans may reply to my posts, and I'll answer them. But nothing to change how we all view Nalu will likely happen for some time.
Is Nalu possible? Yes, Nalu can still happen as long as Mashima's still writing the series. I don't think that a canonized Nalu will look anywhere near as interesting as the fandom wants to believe it would be. However, it's not as if Nalu is entirely impossible. I said that when I made my first long post about Nalu. (I didn't in the sequel because I figured the series was over.) I said that when we learned Mashima didn't plan the ship originally. I still believe that now, despite everything that I've said.
While nothing is set in stone, I'll enjoy all the salt from the Nalu fandom.

After all this I have come to a conclusion
Swifties only believe what they want to believe
Well
Harry and Taylor were on and off and they still write songs about one another with a lot of pics, vids, lyrics -> Wow the Haylors are delusionists
Ratty ( sorry I don't even want to spell his name ewww) and Taylor got together for like 2 months ?? idk -> OMG he's the one that got away, all her songs are about himm. This is so romanticcc aaaa
( jesus I puked writting these lines )
What the hell is wrong with themmm
I'm sorry I just need to rant. I would really like to know what you think about all these.
Thank you !
It is jarring, Taylor did date Matty Healy publicly during the period this album was written. Swifties were going to say this is the Joe and MH album before they even heard it. I guess maybe they are happy to have licence to admit not every damn song is about Joe, the Greige King.
For Haylor, I don't know why it's so revilled, a section of 1D fans were particularly horrible to any girl who spoke to the boys, especially Harry. I attribute some of it to their treatment of Taylor and Swifties. Stan war aside, I think Harry and Taylor chose to not be public when later dating. I don't think fans thinking a song is about them matters TBH.

Pt. 1 of my (very belated) chaotic corset making process
so way back when in August 2023, I finally got the motivation to make a corset for historical costume purposes, which I’ve been wanting to do for several years now. Most(and not just more) specifically, I wanted a corset that would have been considered fashionable in ~1875-80, especially in 1879, had an elegant silhouette, and was historically accurate.
There’s this one person on Etsy- ateliersylph- and they’ve got a ton of patterns taken from extant antique corsets they own, as well as some other fun sewing things like corset hooks, so I scrawled through their antique pattern offerings to find something that got as close to my specifications as possible. Unfortunately, there isn’t a corset that they dated to specifically the years I was looking for, but Ref P looked close to what I wanted: it had the curvy silhouette, wasn’t too curvy for my liking but still wasn’t too small proportionally for my hips, extended to ~just below the hip, spoon front-opening busk, was versatile enough to be used for more than just one decade in the Victorian era, and didn't support to only under the nipple. The spoon busk meant that it had to have been made in/after 1873, as that was when that style of busk was invented, and it fell out of fashion by the Edwardian era, so it should probably have been made between 1873- around 1900, and more likely closer to 1873 than 1900. It also didn’t have garters tabs attached to it, which became a thing closer to the Edwardian era. Thus, this was the closest pattern they had for what I was looking for, even without them having a date for Ref P’s original corset. I chose the pdf file option instead of a paper pattern to save money.
I also decided to go with a white-greige-light blue color scheme, so I got some white lace and bias binding and coutil, greige lace and cotton sateen(because silk would be even more expensive), and blue silk thread and ribbons for the back lacing, flossing, and decoration. I won’t lie, Bernadette banner’s adventures in ✨the joys of corset making✨ /s definitely inspired my choice of velvet ribbon threaded through lace as trim. Between the 3 commercially available options for boning nowadays, I (1) didn’t want to use plastic so synthetic whalebone was off the table, and (2) getting a smooth edge on the cut ends of steel boning was much simpler and cheaper than spiral steel boning, which needs caps and a cap-setting tool. However, Like A Fool, I didn’t remember that maybe, just MAYBE, I should have waited until I was able to print out the properly-sized pattern and measure to see what size bones I needed(because there are two different widths used, Apparently) before just purchasing a size that I thought was right, but. ://// so that was fun and not something I realized until I had gotten to the point of actually sewing the bone channels on all the panels, but I’ll come back to that later in another post. I also decided that because I couldn’t see the spoon busks in comparison to my body irl, it would be safer to buy a straight busk and just bend it for the curve, and that I was also going to use small-ass floral metal stamps on the busk loops because busks with decorative patterns on the loops were all sold out online to my knowledge :| this all happened over the course of a week where I was looking up materials online and debating whether spending all that money was worth it, until I said fuck it, I’m gonna make it, and bought everything, which took until ~late August/early September to all arrive. So, to pass the time, I searched up all the YouTube tutorials I had watched before of historical costubers making their own corsets for tips and watched them all again, and also went through ateliersylph’s blog posts for instructions and other resources, most of which are in French so get a google translator if u can’t read it like me lol. I finally got the pattern printed out after like, a week or 2, so after that, I was cutting and pasting it together irl, making mockups, etc. until everything else arrived. :D

Chasing Tails
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/KOVsewX
by Claradare
It’s been almost 12 years since 17-year-old Layla was found living alone on the streets and put in foster care, and she likes to think she’s done a pretty good job of forgetting the past. She doesn’t remember her birth family, the name “Nashi Dragneel,” or where she heard the absurd stories she told the police who found her. Stories about Wizard Guilds, flying cats, and–-most cringey of all–-her self-proclaimed status as a “Dragon Slayer.”
But the past becomes pretty impossible to ignore when it confronts her in the form of some middle-aged, pink-haired stalker who won’t stop calling her the ridiculous name she’d nearly forgotten and trying to convince her to come back to “Fairy Tale.”
Oh, and claiming to be her dad.
Like she doesn’t have enough problems! The last thing she needs is some delusional freak following around. Especially one who’s starting to make her want to take his hand…
Yep, this is a Second Gen fic. The idea took root and would not let go. I’ll warn you ahead of time that the premise is somewhat dark. That said, I’m the kind of writer who likes (and tries to write) stories with sad beginnings, hopeful middles, and triumphant ends.
I do not own "Fairy Tail", only this plotline.

It's a relatively small thing, but I think I'd feel much more confident about the Ahsoka show if it looked different.
I understand why Rogue One's look has become the default look in live-action SW, at least the shows (to the point that The Acolyte having a different aesthetic is a moderate talking point). It's a great-looking film which is probably the Disney one that people agree on most as good (I have reservations but sure, I like it a lot). And yeah, it makes a decent amount of sense to have Mando adopt that look, while with Andor, it fits like a glove.
But leaving aside the fact that a large part of R1's visual appeal is that Edwards and Greig Fraser are both great at shooting scale (with the shows inherently operating on a considerably smaller scale), the thing is that R1 looks pretty different to prior Star Wars films. There's a reason for that. Jyn and Cassian are much lower-key characters than our usual heroes in the setting (and to be clear, this isn't a judgement of whether anyone's a good or bad character) and the whole idea of their struggle is that it's about the Rebel boots on the ground, the heroes behind the heroes.
Is Ahsoka really that? In a way, yes, but it's also set to be a show about larger-than-life characters, one a Jedi and the other a Mandalorian renegade who paints anything within reach, including her own armour, and of course the third-biggest war criminal droid of the era (Chopper might have the biggest body count but he bows to BT-1 and Triple-0 when it comes to sheer sociopathy). They have adventures with space whales, discover the World Between Worlds and encounter oddball wizard beings who speak with the voice of Tom Baker and laugh in the face of Thrawn. There's a reason they benefited from the exaggerated designs and colourful, kinetic presentation of an animated show (and comics, especially the excellent Kanan two-parter).
And an explicitly toned-down realist style kind of pushes against that vibe. The MCU and the current slew of Disney remakes show this off a whole lot - they generally feature larger-than-life characters but skew hard towards realism, as opposed to creating a heightened reality (see Pacific Rim or Mad Max: Fury Road) where those big personalities would feel more at home. Heck, other Star Wars films do that - there's a reason The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi went for bright, vibrant colours (and why Steve Yedlin brought that soulful expressiveness to TLJ in particular). Without it you tend to end up with an odd disjunct where things feel... a bit dull.
In a smaller way, I think we've already seen that with Kenobi, aside from the general trouble that show seems to have had in the area of cinematography. That show often ended up just rather bland - Tatooine is largely pale grey, while the Fortress Inquisitorius and Vader's castle come off more dingy than true halls of darkness.
To be clear, I'm really hoping that Ahsoka Tano gets a good show, and that I'm proven wrong on the visual front. But I worry that we're looking at another SW show which (leaving the whole Volume thing and its constraints aside) opts for an ill-fitting default look, instead of embracing how diverse Star Wars stories can be.

As a Taylor Swift enthusiast myself, I have some thoughts aside from what the other anon said!!
I remember you talking about how Del Piero felt like someone loved him for who he was for the first time with Zidane, and that when he left he sort of went off kilter, so I think the song 'the prophecy' really works.
especially:
"Change the prophecy
Don't want money
Just someone who wants my company
Let it once be me
Who do I have to speak to
About if they can redo the prophecy?"
and:
"But even statues crumble if they're made to wait
I'm so afraid I sealed my fate
No sign of soulmates
I'm just a paperweight in shades of greige
Spending my last coin so someone will tell me it'll be okay"
conclusion: Taylor only writes songs about omegaverse confirmed
For some reason Tumblr didn’t tell me I had gotten this anon??? I’m so sorry I was ignoring you I promise!
Spending my last coin so someone will tell me it’ll be okay works so well ☹️
He craves the love that Zizou gave him, so he caves into meaningless flings with others to try and fill the whole within him but it never works. He always wastes the last but if his energy entertaining the next guy only to find it never heals him as much as he wants it too.
And ‘about if they can redo the prophecy’… Ale is in denial at first and doesn’t want to believe that Zizou could just up and leave like that. He wants to delude himself that they really are meant to be and it’s not going to play out like this. Zizou has to come back right? They were meant for each other? That’s what Zizou had said, right?
Ales initial story is so sad, I’m happy I decided to still give him a happy ending lol

Paint Color Theory: Choosing Paint For Your Home
Having the freedom to decorate your own space can be exhilarating. It can also be overwhelming, especially when there’s a wide world of paint colors to consider. If you’re having trouble picking out the paint for your home, it’s often constructive to look to what’s been studied and recommended previously for advice. This is where color theory comes into play.
What is color theory? It is a collection of guidelines on creating appealing color schemes for visual displays, as in interior design. Designers, artists, and just about everyone can use these rules to help them create a unifying palette and appeal more to human psychology, cultural norms, and more.
Of course, you don’t have to spend hours studying color theory to get ideas. Simply using a color wheel — which is a handy tool based on color theory — could help you understand the basics and be well on your way to choosing the right hue.
To help get you started, let’s go over a few tips on using color theory to help pick paint colors like a pro.
 Work With What You Love
There’s no problem using your favorite hues for your home. After all, “your house, your rules.” That being said, there are ways to make the most of the choice. An example of this is opting for a complementary shade. Using a color wheel, select the closest color to your favorite. Then, go to the color on the opposite side of the wheel. By using these two selections for one room, you can create a high contrast combination. As these colors amplify each other, the room should give off a brighter, more impactful feel.
On the other hand, you don’t want to get boxed in by a single color. If using your favorite hue in varying shades and tints for a monochromatic effect across several rooms, you may want to consider using something else for at least one or two others. Unsure how much of one color is too much? You should reach out to the professionals. Whether you choose to hire an interior decorator or residential painting services, these experts can help you achieve the look you’ve always wanted.
 Work With What You’ve Got
Unless you’re doing a larger-scale renovation, the existing features of the room definitely play a role in choosing new paint. For instance, the warm tones of medium-to-dark wood trim can be brought out for a gorgeous effect with the right white paint. If white seems too sterile, a sleek shade of light greige — blending grey and beige — works as a wonderfully modern take on the white-and-wood combo.
You could also play up the natural effects of the wood with green paint or a crisp blue. These can generate more of an impact but should be considered carefully. If you have lighter-toned wood, try incorporating gray to create a mid-range tone or use a shade with deep-blue undertones to help offset tones from darker stains of wood.
Another consideration is that the baseboards, windowsills, doors, and other trim elements should ideally be one color. What’s more, said color should be as close as possible across all features, especially if the trim is white. An off-white paint positioned next to a factory-white paint could negatively impact the cohesive look you’re hoping to achieve. Matching the trim color is also beneficial in unifying the entire home’s aesthetic as you transition from one room to the next.

Visit their website at https://www.mexytech.com/ for more details or to contact them today! Now that you know more about MexyTech, let’s talk about the 5 most popular composite decking board colors. Homeowners can choose from a wide range of composite decking colors when building a new backyard oasis, replacing an existing faded wood deck or updating an existing pool area. But how do you know which color is the right fit for your home? In order to find the best composite decking color, consider what the surrounding environment looks like: What are the colors of nearby buildings' roofs, walls and window frames? Are there any stand-out trees, plants or other natural features in the area? How do these colors contrast or complement each other? Answering these questions can help narrow down the composite decking color options and make your decision much easier. If you're in the market for a new deck, or are considering painting your existing deck, we recommend using the same color as the adjacent siding of your house to create a seamless, cohesive look. This is especially important if you have an older home with a more historic facade that may need to be preserved. In addition, if you have a modern-style home, using a lighter shade for your deck will ensure it feels fresh and inviting. For homeowners looking for a more traditional look, there are plenty of earthy shades that blend well with most homes. Whether you want a neutral gray or warm brown, we've got the perfect shade for your next deck project. Using a lighter shade in your deck will not only open up the space, but it also helps hide dirt and staining better than dark hues. This is especially helpful if you have kids or pets that tend to track in mud or dirt. Additionally, a light color will reflect sunlight rather than absorb it, which can help keep your deck cool and comfortable when it's hot outside. A classic and versatile choice, chocolate brown is a popular decking color that can be used for either new construction or re-painting an existing wood deck. This color can stand on its own or pair well with a variety of other colors, including greens and reds. Another great option for homeowners who want a neutral but warm deck color is greige. Often described as the perfect balance between relaxing and dynamic, greige can be used to brighten up your deck or create a sense of depth by bringing the eye back into the backyard. Plus, it pairs really well with a wide array of house paint colors and can be easily matched with both rustic and modern decor. If you're unsure what shade to pick, request samples of a few different colors and compare them in your backyard. Seeing and touching the colors in person will help you make a more confident purchase that will give you a deck you'll enjoy for years to come. Now that you know more about the 5 most popular composite decking board colors, it is time to go back to the website of MexyTech to get a quote today!
