Getting together some Malayan flying fox refs and the amount of ai-generated faux-bat slop is incredibly annoying. Why would you generate an image of something you could just look up photos of, poisoning the pot of decent reference images?

just btw, if you are sad about ‘house of the dragon’ ending, i can’t recommend enough ‘domina’ from sky/epix

it’s basically historical drama, set in ancient rome, focused on livia drusilla, emperor augustus and their little mob family. yes, there is like 15-20 years time jump after episode 2. yes, it’s very much family drama show where they conspire against each other. yes, the power struggle is mainly about succession. yes, there is sex. yes, there is murder. livia drusilla is basically as if alicent and rhaenyra had a child... and her children too have mommy issues, daddy issues and in general are batshit crazy, future emperor tiberius is this weird mix of aegon and aemond but... on steroids.

i can’t even begin to tell you how good that show is. fantastic writing, especially post time jump. it’s beautifully shot. the costumes are *chefs kiss* do yourself a favor and check it out. season 2 should premiere in spring/summer 2023.

(also tom glynn-carney is playing young augustus before the time skip and he is great in that role)
