The poeticism of the background kid we saw getting branded in Coventions having that brand removed in the Epilogue.....

I also can't help but wonder if this can be read as an intentional decision on Alador's part, since this guy was branded relatively shortly before the Coven System collapsed. Maybe not having a brand for as long as some of the other characters means it's easier to remove? And even then, 'easier' is relative here since it still took FIVE witches to do this and three of them are established in the narrative as being exceptionally talented (Alador, Emira, and Viney) implying that this is something that is going to be difficult to move forward with quickly.

Emira's last partner was Odalia's choice. She didn't tell anyone about that. So, when they broke up, Emira did THE SHOW for the entire school to see. No one ever knew she had hated him all the time. Edric keeps thinking her sister was just so vengeful, you'll never dare to hurt her.

He told Amity when they got closer but, it's a shame, he didn't knew the real story. Not that Em wanted to share it anyways.
