Description de toilettes:

Robe de popeline grise, garnie avec un volant tuyauté à très-larges plis, ayant 12 centimètres de hauteur. Au-dessus de ce volant sont placés douze rouleaux (ou gros lisérés) en velours vert; les manches, marquant le coude, sont garnies sur le bord inférieur avec cinq lisérés; trois lisérés forment une sorte d'épaulette près de l'entournure. Sur le corsage plat et montant, fermé par des boutons noirs, se trouvent cinq lisérés placés au-dessus de la ceinture de velours noir, et s'arrêtant de chaque côté à la couture sous le bras. Chapeau en crêpe vert de Chine, bordé de bouillonnés et orné de roses moussues.

Robe d'alpaga nuance nankin. Le devant de la jupe est brodé en tablier de lacets noirs mélangés de soutache; le corsage plat est brodé sur le devant de la même façon; les manches sont brodées, au bord, puis la broderie remonte en s'amincissant jusqu'à l'entournure. La ceinture, pareille à la robe, est soutachée comme celle-ci. Une résille en velours noir, garnie de dentelle noire et de rubans en velours bleu Mexico, couvre la tête, et retient les cheveux du chignon.

Gray poplin dress, trimmed with a fluted frill with very wide pleats, 12 centimeters high. Above this flounce are placed twelve rolls (or large borders) of green velvet; the sleeves, marking the elbow, are trimmed on the lower edge with five edgings; three edgings form a sort of epaulette near the armhole. On the flat, high bodice, closed by black buttons, are five edgings placed above the black velvet belt, and stopping on each side at the seam under the arm. Green crepe de chine hat, edged with bubbles and adorned with mossy roses.

Nanjing shade alpaca dress. The front of the skirt is embroidered in apron with black laces mixed with soutache; the flat bodice is embroidered on the front in the same way; the sleeves are embroidered, at the edge, then the embroidery goes up while thinning to the armhole. The belt, like the dress, is braided like this. A black velvet fishnet, trimmed with black lace and Mexico blue velvet ribbons, covers the head, and holds the hair in the bun.

Sweater finished on time! Too bad I utterly fucked up when planning and ended up with a 3XL sweater instead of an XL. The sleeves are so long my fingers don’t even touch the ribbing.

realized I finished these waistcoats a week ago and just did not say anything about how that was a thing that happened

#today's art adventure #these are made the same way as the werthers one because it looked so significantly better than keith's initial one #nicer fit nicer embroidery and these have the same canvas-y twilled backing #speaking of twill I have reached a point in my fabric quest that I'm going to call Just Giving Up #I have been scouring every place I can think of for anything remotely suitable for ewen's kilt and finding Nothing Even Remotely Suitable #so wish me luck as I spent many many podcast episodes hand embroidering the stripes into this nice dark red fabric I did manage to find #predicting much weeping wailing &c for my future #but I did find a really lovely knotwork button that'll make a perfect cloak-clasp at some point so I'm excited to put it to use!
