yk what I don't know who's idea it was to make the entire song an electrobeat swing of these two idiots trying to one-up each other but GOD DAMN ARE THEY A GENIUS
The way he said 'big boss of hell himself' and 'punch of a pentagram'? AGGHHH GORGEOUS
Little marketable chibi during BOOM? Perfection.
Alastor dropping the piano on the short king? Masterpiece.

Stay for this song
Quick one shot for tremorbolt. Will post on AO3 when I wake up :p
~900words. Nightmares, insomnia, comfort. Under the keep reading line.
Breach woke up to an empty bed. Well, not quite empty. Bamse was still there, but no Sova. He sat up to reach for his phone. It was almost one in the morning. He looked around for any signs of where Sova could’ve gone, but did not find much. No note, nothing, but his phone was missing, as were his ear buds. Other than Breach, he was probably the last person in the protocol who still used a wired connection for music. Even Raze switched a couple years ago.
So, where would he go with his music at this hour?
Well… There was only one answer to that. It was strange though, normally, when Sova had a bad dream, he would wake Breach up. Or, he would wake Bamse up, who in turn would wake Breach up. There was no winning in terms of sleep.
This was one game he didn’t care to win though. When the initial confusion faded, he sighed and put on some actual clothes. He had to go find his boyfriend.
As he predicted, he heard the soft humming even before he saw the messy blond hair. Quietly, trying to successfully sneak up on Sova for once, he took slow steps towards him. Then, just as Breach was about to reach out and hold his shoulders, both to startle him and keep him on the roof just in case, Sova turned and smiled.
“I was hoping you would not wake up for me this time,” he said.
Breach just shook his head as he sat down next to Sova. “Yeah, and I was hoping to scare you for once. We both didn’t get what we wanted. That makes us even, no?”
He felt Sova shift and offer him one of the earbuds. Even though he wasn’t a fan of the electrobeats Sova often listened to, he took it, and wrapped his arm around Sova so that his head could lean on Breach’s chest.
The steady rhythm of Sova’s breaths, the weight of his head, and the night sky. Breach felt himself get lulled into a sleep-like state, even while sitting up.
“You should go inside and sleep, Breach. I will be ok.”
It was just like Sova to think about Breach when he had just come back from back to back missions and ten hours of sleep over four days. Breach was tired too, b he has never been asked to do what Sova does now. Nor would he ever accept if Brimstone gave him that order.
But Sova was different. In every way, Sova was different from Breach.
And it was nice.
“Not if it means I leave you here alone. Tell me about what happened.”
Sova turned his face to nuzzle against Breach, a small sign of appreciation. “The mission was fine.”
“I meant your dream. A successful mission has never taken you out of bed before.”
There were times where that was all it took for Sova to spill. As Breach waited, it became clearer that he would need to press him.
“Come on, Alex.” That normally got Sova to lower his guard a little. Though, not as good as saying, “Sash… You know you feel better when you tell me. Your therapist is here, come on.”
Sova rolled his eyes. “I am not looking for a therapist.”
“Then I can be just yours.”
They sat for a little longer, though Sova pulled away a little. “I had a dream that I died. But it was protecting you, so I did not mind.” Breach reached out to hold his hand.
Sova continued, “In the dream, I woke up. And I believe myself to be awake. So, I went to find you, only…”
The hesitation alone was strange to hear from Sova. The way his hand shook for just a second before grabbing Breach’s outstretched hand was hard to see.
“You did not know me, and you…” Sova scoffed. “It was nothing I have not heard before. It was just a dream. You and I are alive, and you do not hate me. Go back to bed. I would like to stay awake for a little longer.”
He pulled away from Breach, but Breach did not get up. When Sova noticed that, he looked at Breach again. “I do not mind. I know you are tired, and I am taking your rest from you. Please, go back to bed.”
“No. You might not mind, but you forgot the most important opinion here: mine.” Breach even pointed his thumb at himself, and smiled when he saw the little curl on Sova’s lips. “I want to stay up with you. You’ve been gone for so long, so I just want to catch up.”
Sova gave him a weak shove, more to accentuate his point than actually move him.
“Erik.”
“Sasha.”
Sova leaned over and pressed his lips to Breach’s cheek. “You’re cold.”
“We can be cold together out here. For as long as you need. I’m here.”
These battles of who could be more stubborn could go either way, or stall out, but Sova couldn’t hide the slightest but of blush on his cheeks. Breach was rarely this serious with him - they both knew it. Still, whether he was joking or not, Breach meant his promises to Sova. Always.
With a sigh, Sova shifted closer to lean against Breach again. “To the end of this song. Then we will go back together.”

Speaking of which do you think there's anything that can be implied about any of the operators with their elite skins or cosmetic bundles
Because I certainly think there could be
Most probably, yeah! I'd say that, based on bundles or elites, that I can remember from the top of my head, we could extrapolate:
Capitao likes and plays football, Dokkaebi likes electrobeat music, Ash likes fishing, Maverick might help out in a garage/repair shop (maybe from a friend or family?), Valkyrie still loves swimming and is a certified lifeguard (unsurprising), Castle plays... was it baseball or rugby?, Clash has a punk aesthetic when she isn't in uniform, Hibana practices traditional archery, Caveira enjoys martial arts, etc.
You could also consider that the ops who have historical elite skins are into historical recreation (cosplay for the ones in crossover elites?) or that have some personal meaning for their family (like in Mira's case).

Kid Frost, born Arturo Molina Jr. on May 31, 1964, is a significant figure in the history of Latin Hip Hop. He gained fame in the early stages of his career as Kid Frost, and later simply as Frost. He is renowned for integrating his Mexican heritage into his music, making him a pioneering artist in the Chicano rap movement.
Frost began his music career in 1982, initially gaining attention for his rivalry with fellow rapper Ice-T. He released several early singles with Electrobeat and Baja, two LA-based labels, in the mid-1980s. His career took a significant turn when he signed with Virgin Records towards the end of the 1980s.
In 1990, Frost released "La Raza," a track from his debut album "Hispanic Causing Panic." This song was a major success, reaching #42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it's recognized as one of the first successful Latin Hip Hop songs. Following this, Frost formed a Latin rap group called Latin Alliance, which released an album in 1991. His second solo album, "East Side Story," was released in 1992.
In 1995, Frost dropped 'Kid' from his name when he signed with Ruthless Records. Under this label, he released "Smile Now, Die Later" and "When Hell.A.Freezes Over." He later moved to Celeb Entertainment Inc. in 1999, releasing "This Was Then This Is Now Vol. I" and "Vol. II." His 2002 album "Still Up In This S***!" with Hit-A-Lick and Koch Records featured more Latin rap and g-funk tracks.
Frost's son, Scoop DeVille, is also an accomplished record producer, and they collaborated on the 2004 album "Welcome to Frost Angeles." Besides his music career, Frost has acted in films and contributed to video game soundtracks, including "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."
Frost's influence extends beyond music, as he was appointed vice president of the Music Division of Goldmark Industries in 2006. He has also appeared in cameo roles in music videos, such as Snoop Dogg's "Vato."
Sadly, in 2016, Frost announced his diagnosis with gallbladder cancer, which led him to focus more on his health and well-being.
Throughout his career, Frost collaborated with a variety of artists, including Ice-T, Kurupt, King T, Baby Bash, and many others. His music often reflected his pride in his Mexican heritage and brown skin complexion, a progressive stance in the rap world of the 1990s.
Overall, Frost's career has been marked by his pioneering role in Latin Hip Hop, his artistic collaborations, and his influence on subsequent generations of artists

#MusicMonday Review - April 2022
#MusicMonday is the hashtag I've been using for quite a while to share music recommendations from up-and-coming artists. Always fresh, and always different, trying to look for trends before they become one. You can check March's review for more music.
This month we get a sample of the current state of some popular genres in their respective parts of the world: Latin Pop, British Indie Rock, and a sprinkle of American Surf Rock. Let's have a listen, with a word from the artists themselves. 🎧
Helena Del Pilar – Esperanza
Buscando una estrella Tu magia vendrá
Tocando la arena El sol brillará
Abriendo el camino Tu sol brillará
From La Guajira, Colombia, we begin this month's offerings with an uplifting Pop song that can carry us through the roads that are never easy to walk on:
"The song Esperanza, is the result of my own experiences and, it is a message that I consider the world needs at this time, to strengthen faith... to be filled with hope and with strength... To be able to follow the path 🙏
This is a song that I composed and matured in several stages… (it rarely happens to me). Recently, I started to review it and I felt that this was the right moment to sing it… it is a song that I personally love and I hope it feels so much, as I have felt it, singing it!"
Dentist – Spilled Coffee
I put my head between my knees. I couldn’t help but beg you please. They can all see it on my face. I hate it shows I need some space.
It’s quiet now, it’s quiet now. I made it out of this somehow. No, we could never be the same I’m not even sure who to blame.
Inspiration frequently comes from personal experiences, and this band from Asbury Park, NJ channels a bitter one into Surf Rock bliss. Band member Emily explains:
"Lyrically, the song is based on a toxic relationship, an unnecessary public embarrassment (I’d rather not go further into). A real learning experience and something I hope no one ever has to go through. The overall message is, having a sister and even a being son, how could you in good conscious treat a woman so poorly. It was an unfortunate event."
Cristina Malakhai – Besos Arma
Taking about unpleasant experiences, our next singer/songwriter from Barcelona, Spain brings a Pop Electrobeat cluster of sensations emanating from a circulated, enveloped, and definitively closed environment:
"I did the song during the quarantine, when we were trapped in our houses, and kisses became a weapon… that’s where the title comes from 😍😀"
Back again in Colombia, Medellín to be exact, let's give a  listen to a catchy Pop song about feeling estranged from your own past:
"This song is inspired by the music I listened to when I was a teenager, I was a very Disney kid, I grew up listening to Demi, Miley, the Jonas Brothers. I miss hearing those sounds now. I wanted to mix that Rock/Pop with current elements that would make it feel fresh.
My album is based on a big heartbreak and this song opens a new chapter in history, it is the closing of this cycle."
Average Life Complaints – Fish & Chips (Feat. Heartworms)
Clear your mind Don’t drag behind One day you’ll grow old And you may behold This great majestic ship Those English fish and chips The lessons you’re never taught Are the ones you deserve
Patience My friend You’ll do fine In the end
We now move to South London, England, for an Indie Rock band that's only average in the name. Let the groovy bass line build the message of hope:
"The song's lyrics are written in 2nd person but are mostly mental notes/do’s and don’ts to myself or a friend about trying not to worry too much. It’s intended to be a song about the ups and downs of life and how even through all the pain and worry, everything will be okay in the end.
I used the comparison between rubbish shop bought fish & chips and a proper old English fish shop fish & chips to summate those feelings."
Marseille – Forget It All
I know what you stand for I say forget it all I know that it sounds cruel But I'll have to leave you
Cause I know that you're my girl But I know that you're Not my whole world
From up north in Derby, England, this track, while taking you back to the 90's BritPop sound, will make you remember those people you know who are stuck in their ways and aren’t willing to change for the better:
"It is written about a past relationship of someone not seeing the bigger picture and no matter how hard you try to help them they're stuck in their own ways. Even though you're looking out for their best interests."
Paisley Parc – MEAN STREETS
These streets are mean at night Everybody's looking for a fight All those husbands and wives Are not coming home tonight.
We end this month's UK tour in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales for an acoustic ballad about finding a way in today’s tough cities:
"It was written about living in a working class town and the fear of violence that you're likely to face on nights out on the town"
Listen to them and much more on the Playlist
