series masterlist
ambivalence blurb: 23 - rafe cameron
"Cameron, come on. She'll still be here when we get back."
Topper's voice carries all the way from the hood of his Jeep, the one he's currently leaned up against and pretending to gag as he watches Rafe grip your hand and kiss you like his life depends on it.
He's wearing the navy blue polo you bought him for his birthday, which is today, and the reason why Topper and Kelce are waiting on him to go play a round of golf at the Club. He'd loved the polo when he opened it up this morning, and when you showed him what you had sewn on the inside of the breast pocket, he'd teared up and told you it was his favorite gift he'd ever received. The two of you had finally picked a name but kept it private, and you'd put the name there just for him to see whenever he used it.
"Go on," you say against his lips, "I'll be here when you come home."
"Is it too late to cancel?" he whispers.
You laugh, "Yes."
He frowns and kisses you again, throwing his middle finger over his shoulder toward Topper when he groans again.
"Will you come meet us at the Club for lunch? I can come back and get you, or-"
"I'll be there," you smile, "Just text me when you're on the last hole."
"Okay, sweetheart," he agrees, squeezing your hand.
"Jesus, Y/N, can you push him off the porch or something? Tee time's in ten minutes!" Kelce yells from the driveway.
"Go," you say again, grinning widely when he rolls his eyes.
"Fine," he grunts, releasing your hand and placing it on your baby bump. Five and a half months along now; only making it harder for Rafe to leave you any time he has to.
"Happy birthday, handsome," you say, meeting his hand with your own on your stomach.
He smiles, "Thank you, baby. Call me if you need anything, yeah?"
You nod and give him one last kiss before he steps off the porch, flipping off the boys once again when they yell out 'finally!'.
You stand on the porch and watch him climb into the passenger seat, removing his sunglasses from his collar and placing them over his eyes. He presses a kiss to his fingers and then waves at you, which you return with a smile. Kelce waves to you from the backseat and yells something you can't hear over the hum of Topper's engine, but it earns a glare from Rafe.
You laugh and wave one final time before Topper takes off, then turn and walk back into the foyer of the Cameron home. When you close the door behind you, your eyes catch on the picture frames sitting on the mahogany desk resting against the wall adjacent to the stairs. It has a new addition; a photo of you and Rafe from about a month ago, both of you dressed up to celebrate Ward and Rose's wedding anniversary. You smile at it as you pass, heading into the kitchen.
Rose, Wheezie and Sarah are in full work mode, cleaning the kitchen and dining room out from Rafe's surprise birthday breakfast. You'd had to get up extra early to sneak out of the guest house and over here to get to work, but Rafe, being the morning person he is, had come looking for you after his run and walked in all sweaty and concerned.
He'd laughed when he saw the table, decorated to the nines by Rose and all of his favorite foods spread across it, complete with his girl standing at the head of the table. You'd given him a big smile and a kiss, one he didn't expect from you this early in the morning.
Now, as you watch the girls deconstruct it, you smile at the memory. When you step over to the sink to help Sarah with the dishes, she shakes her head.
"Go sit," she says, nodding to the living room, "We've got this."
"Sarah, come on," you groan.
"She's right, honey," Rose cuts in, "You should rest. You've been going nonstop since this morning."
"I'm fine," you say.
"Prove it," Rose challenges, "Go be fine on the couch."
You roll your eyes playfully at her, watching her smile as she rearranges the bouquet of flowers she'd had at the head of the table. You furrow your brows, as if to silently question why she's doing that. She chuckles and explains.
"Rafe asked what I plan to do with them," she tells you, "I told him they were for his birthday breakfast, so he asked me to rearrange them and give them to you."
You smile and shake your head at the boy, unable to believe that even on his birthday, he's still thinking of you. Sarah smiles at you, watching you grin like a little girl.
"He's so sweet," you say quietly.
"That he is," Rose agrees, "They'd look lovely on your kitchen table."
You nod and watch as she wraps a ribbon around the vase, then places it on the counter and tells you to take them to the guest house next time you head out there. You agree and then step over to Wheezie, watching her put leftovers into containers.
Just as you reach the counter, you grab hold of it when you feel a weird, mild pain shooting up your stomach. You wince and shut your eyes, but it passes after you take a deep breath.
"You okay?" Wheezie asks you, glancing hesitantly at Rose, who hasn't noticed.
"I'm fine," you shake your head, giving her a smile, "Let me help."
"You're supposed to be resting," she counters, but when she sees your raised eyebrow, she slides over a container to you and lets you get to work.
You joke around with her as you two organize the leftovers, which are stacking up quickly. You grab a few of the containers and step over to the fridge, using one hand to pull open the door when the pain in your stomach returns. The containers come toppling out of your arm, only one opening and spilling all over the floor.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Rose asks, reaching out to grab your elbow.
You take two deep breaths, eyes glued shut as you breathe through it. You're sure it will pass like it did before, and it does. When you open your eyes, worry is plastered all over Rose's face. Sarah shuts off the water and steps over, eyebrows furrowed and eyes soft.
"Yes," you say breathlessly, "Oh, I'm so sorry-"
"No, no, it's okay," she counters, "Go sit down. I mean it. We'll get it."
You shake your head to argue, but the stern, mother-like look in your eye makes you nod. Your hand wraps around the bottom of your stomach and you instinctually pat, as if to comfort your baby boy.
Sarah offers her hand silently, and you grab ahold of it and let her lead you into the living room. She lets you sit down on the couch and then brings a blanket over to you, then sits down on the coffee table directly in front of you.
"What's wrong?" she asks.
There's a hint of nervousness in her voice, as if she still feels the wall up between you two and doesn't want to push you too far. Although things have definitely improved and you are civil and even kind to one another, it still feels odd to divulge your feelings to her once again.
"Just a weird feeling. I'm sure it's fine," you say, nodding your head as if to convince yourself and her at once.
"I'm sure it is, too," she agrees, "But, maybe we should stop by a hospital. Just in case."
You shake your head, "I'm just being dramatic. I'm fine, I promise."
She stares at you hesitantly, but ultimately nods and stands up.
"Okay. I'll make you some tea. And call Rafe."
Your eyes dart up to her, immediately shaking your head.
"No, Sarah, don't. He'll worry, and it's nothing to worry about. He needs to enjoy his birthday."
"Y/N," she sighs, placing a hand on her hip, "He'd kill me if I didn't call."
"I'll hide the knives," you counter, earning a smile and a shake of the head from her, "Please."
She sighs again and then nods slowly, inching back toward the kitchen.
"Tea's coming up," she says, then turns and exits the living room.
You sigh and sit back, blocking out the worrying yourself. Although you'd never felt anything like that so far, you don't feel as if it's anything to get worked up over. Especially on Rafe's birthday. The last thing you'd want to do is get him all worried and go to the hospital only to find out it was nothing and you're totally fine.
Rose comes in and sits down on the other end of the couch, sympathy evident on her features. Her phone rests in her hand and at first she's not sure what to say, but you know she's in here because she doesn't want to leave you alone.
"Are you sure you're all right?" she asks after a minute.
"Yes, I'm okay, I promise," you nod, "I'm sorry about the mess."
"No, don't even worry about that," she shakes her head.
You swallow when you feel the weird sensation return, placing a hand on your stomach and tensing when the pain starts to set in.
"What is it?" Rose asks, face draining almost completely of color.
You take one deep breath and exhale, then look up at her, "Um, just a little discomfort."
The pain intensifies, making you lean forward and groan without meaning to. Rose stands up and steps over to you, running a hand through your hair.
"Honey," she says calmly, "I'm sure everything is fine, but I'm going to take you to the hospital just in case."
The thought of going to the hospital without Rafe makes you want to cry. You take in another shaky breath and ignoring the stinging of tears in your eyes, then nod slowly. Your heart sinks; the pain of ruining Rafe's birthday outweighing the pain in your lower stomach. You look up at Rose and frown, standing when she guides you upright.
"I need to call Rafe," you say quietly, your voice almost sounding ashamed.
"We'll call him from the car. Everything's fine, just relax," she promises.
Sarah walks back into the living room with a mug, which almost tumbles out of her hand when she sees the expression on your face.
"What-" she starts, but Rose holds her hand up.
"Get my purse and tell Wheezie to finish cleaning up, all right?" Rose says calmly, already guiding you toward the door.
Sarah just nods, her eyes moving between the two of you before she rushes back into the kitchen.
"How's the pain?" Rose asks.
"It's going away," you say weakly.
She nods and leads you out to the car, helping you into the passenger seat. She brushes the hair back from your face and gives you an encouraging, calm smile, which is exactly what you need. Sarah comes running out of the house with Rose's purse and dives into the backseat, letting Rose take off quickly.
"I have to..." you trail off, feeling your empty back pocket, "Fuck, I forgot my phone. I have to call-"
"I'll call," Sarah places an encouraging hand on your shoulder, giving you a small squeeze.
"Just relax," Rose says again, "Focus on your breathing and let me know if you need me to pull over or anything."
You nod and take a deep breath, trusting Sarah to call him. You close your eyes and try to stay calm, but the worry that something could be wrong has your nerves going like crazy. You'd been doing everything right; eating what you're supposed to eat, getting exercise, sleeping well, keeping your stress levels down.
As if she can read your mind, Rose quietly says, "I'm sure everything is okay."
You open your eyes and look over at her, giving her a small smile. She can see the worrying going on in your head, so she does her best to keep her own at a minimum so she can encourage you.
"Rafe?" Sarah says from the backseat, then she groans, "No, Kelce, I'm serious. Give the phone back to Rafe. I'm not playing - no, give it back to him! Kelce - it's about Y/N. Something's wrong."
You swallow and suck in another deep breath, focusing on the road ahead and keeping your stress levels to a minimum. After a few seconds, Sarah speaks up again.
"Rafe," she sighs, "Yes, she - I don't know. Some sort of pain, I'm not sure - yeah, we're on our way to the hospital. Yes, I'm staying calm..."
Her voice drops, and just as you hold your hand out for the phone, desperate to hear your voice, Sarah speaks up.
"He wants to talk to you."
You grab the phone and turn it in your hands, pressing it to your ear.
"Rafe," you breathe.
"Talk to me, baby. Tell me what you're feeling," he says. Although he sounds calm, you know him and you know he's trying not to freak out.
You can hear the clubs in his golf bag clanking as he walks, the noise rather fast-paced, and you find comfort in knowing that he's on his way.
"It's just this really weird feeling, some pain in my stomach, I don't know-"
"Okay," he encourages calmly, and you hear a car door slam, "Is it coming and going?"
"Yeah."
"Okay," he repeats, "Just stay calm for me. I'm sure everything is fine. I've been reading about false labor and how you can have what feels like contractions. Does it feel like that?"
You groan, "Rafe. I've never had a contraction before."
His chuckle coming through the phone seems to calm something deep inside of you. He's calm, he's laughing, and of course he would know what the problem is. You smile despite the pain returning in your stomach, which makes Rose smile, too.
"Fair point," he says, "How far are you from the hospital?"
Your eyes do a quick scan of the road as you recognize where you are, "Five minutes."
"Okay, all right. How about we stay on the phone until you get there."
You smile softly, "Okay. It's starting to hurt again."
"Take a deep breath, sweetheart. It's going to pass," he encourages.
You do as he says, letting him listen to you exhale and inhale again. When he starts to speak again, you feel comforted just by the sound of his voice.
"Hey, guess what?"
"What?" you ask absentmindedly, leaning back into the headrest.
"I was kicking Top's ass on the course."
You laugh through your breathing, the pain momentarily escaping you as you listen to Topper protest from the diver's seat.
"He was not!"
"Yeah, I was, baby," Rafe whispers into the phone.
"Y/N," Kelce speaks loud enough that you can hear him, "Top missed, like, three easy putts. Your dad could've kicked his ass."
"Her dad's actually really good," Rafe informs Kelce.
"Yeah, he is," you agree.
Rafe laughs lightly, "How're we looking on arrival, sweetheart?"
"Two minutes, give or take," you tell him.
In your head, you can see him nod and run a hand through his now messy hair, the hair you're sure he's been fidgeting with since the second Sarah called.
You speak again, "How far are you?"
You don't mean for it to come out so vulnerable, but when you hear him exhale into the phone, a sort of sad, wishing he was with you, sigh, you frown.
"Five minutes," he says, then quickly, "Four. Do not wait for me."
"Rafe-"
You start to protest, but Rose pulls into view of the hospital and straight up to the front doors.
"Sarah, park the car," she demands and hops out, rushing around to your side.
Sarah gives you another pat on the shoulder and then gets out, running around to the driver's seat. When Rose pulls open your door, she gives you a wide smile and removes the phone from your hand.
"Come on," she grabs your hand, pressing the phone to her ear with her shoulder, "Rafe? I'm taking her inside now. I gotta go."
She hangs up before he can protest, which you're sure he will, and hurries you inside. Rose calmly explains to the first person she sees what's happening, and the nurse guides you away from Rose, who isn't permitted to come with you. Rose steps into the waiting area, and just before you're out of an earshot, you hear the voice you'd been dying for. You freeze, letting the nurse think you're having more pain.
"Hi," he's breathless, like he sprinted inside, "Looking for my wife, she just got brought in. She's five-and-a-half months along, having some pain."
You turn around and start walking back up to the front, brushing the nurse off when she attempts to protest. You turn the corner and see him, standing in front of the desk with his messy hair, hat in hand, sunglasses resting in his shirt. He's swallowing, hand patting the countertop repeatedly as he waits for her to locate you.
"Rafe," you say quietly.
His eyes dart up and he finds you instantly, rushing to you with his hands out. He takes ahold of your hands and opens his mouth to speak, then looks to the nurse and quickly figures out what's going on.
"Everything's good," he smiles to you, "Let's just get you checked out, okay, baby?"
You nod to him and he nods to the nurse, silently telling her to lead you both back.
Rafe had been right; Braxton-Hicks contractions being the culprit. Rafe, who apparently had become an expert on all things pregnancy related, had a very intelligent conversation with the doctor about it. He'd exhaled and relaxed the second the doctor announced what it was, but you'd never heard of that before. He explained that you and the baby are both healthy, and there's nothing to worry about.
When he excuses himself, you turn to Rafe and squeeze his hand, finding him to already be looking at you.
"See? Everything's okay. We're doing everything right," he smiles.
You're laid out on the table and Rafe's sitting in the seat beside you, hand still gripping yours as tightly as it had been when he first sat down.
You smile sadly, "Yeah."
"What?" he furrows his eyebrows, questioning your sad expression and the tears in your eyes.
"I didn't want to call you if it was nothing and ruin your birthday, which is exactly what ended up happening, and I'm sorry, Rafe-"
"Baby, no," he stops you immediately, leaning forward and grabbing your other hand as well, "Stop that. You didn't ruin anything. Listen to me."
You meet his eyes, bottom lip jutting out just enough to make his heart break in half. He smiles softly and then continues.
"Finding out that my girl and my baby are both healthy is the best present I could've gotten today, okay? That's all I ever want."
You nod and signal for a kiss, which he gives you. He releases one of your hands and presses it to your bump, stroking softly up and down. You smile, your mind wandering back to Rafe coming into the hospital earlier.
"Rafe," you almost whisper.
"Yeah?"
"You called me your wife," you smile.
"Huh?"
"When you came in here. You called me your wife," you repeat, watching as he remembers.
"Oh," he nods, and you watch his cheeks grow pink, "I - yeah, I did, huh?"
You grin, "Yeah."
His smile matches yours, and he leans in closer, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
"Is that okay?" he whispers in your ear.
"It's perfect," you say.
He grins and kisses you once again,  sure that the smile on his face will be permanent as long as he has you.
"We should go tell everyone that everything's okay," you say, sitting up.
"Do you feel up to standing right now?" he asks, not letting go of your hand.
You nod and let Rafe help you off the table, resisting the urge to fall into him and remain in his arms for as long as possible. He presses a kiss to your forehead.
"I know how I want to spend the rest of my birthday," he whispers against your skin, "In bed. With lots of fluids. Resting."
"Rafe," you whine, "It's your birthday. Let the boys take you out or something."
"Oh, and a movie. And a nice, balanced meal. Maybe some ice cream later," he continues, as if you'd never spoken.
You roll your eyes playfully and look up at him, finding a smile on his face.
"I love you," you whisper.
"I love you, too," he replies with a squeeze of your hand, "Come on. We should get you home."
You nod and let him lead you out of the room, knowing that no matter what you say or how you encourage him, you're probably not going to be out of his sight for even a second for the remainder of your pregnancy. Yet, no part of you seems to mind that in the slightest.

The Tumblr Beta Version: an objective analysis
I was tempted to just type “it sucks.” And while that is an objective analysis, it’s not exactly helpful. I’ve sent several requests to @staff and @support to restore my account to the old tumblr dashboard format, and received the same automated reply twice now. I’ll copy/paste it here so everyone is on the same page:
(lol, I had to go back and edit this, because apparently the beta version doesn’t display block quotes on the dash. So I’ve also put the block quotes in italics... hopefully it’ll display properly... note after editing: nope, it doesn’t display italics either... how the heck am I supposed to differentiate quoted text? I’ll start each quoted bit with an asterisk, I guess...)
*Thanks for reaching out about the beta dashboard.
*We're currently testing it out, and your account seems to have been selected to take part in the test. Thanks for your patience while we work on it! At this time there is not a way to opt out of testing. You may see your Tumblr experience return to normal as we continue testing.
WE CAN ONLY HOPE.
*In the meantime, check out some of the new features available only in the beta dashboard:
OKAY TUMBLR, IF YOU INSIST, though I would MUCH rather have back all the functionality I personally invested into this website through xkit... you know... making the site ACTUALLY FUNCTIONAL. Let’s see what this beta version has given me instead of functionality:
*Change Palettes: Go to the person icon, then click "Change Palette." You'll find the classic Tumblr blue, dark mode, and a few other color palettes for your dash.
So I tried out all the color palettes. In addition to the ones mentioned here, there’s one that’s trying to look like a green screen terminal that gives me flashbacks to the early 80′s. There’s a reason we stopped using green screen terminals... Another one is “canary yellow.” It’s very yellow. The “classic tumblr” isn’t actually classic tumblr... all the post boxes are dark blue with grey type, not white with black type. And all the other colors are the insanely bright fluorescent of the new Dark Blue standard tumblr scheme. Which means links are practically invisible unless I highlight them. It’s migraine inducing. The one theme with a light colored background is called “Concrete” or “Cement” or something like that and even that only works for about half an hour before the migraine aura really kicks in. I just want my Old Blue via xkit back. You know, what tumblr actually used to look like. I don’t want any of these horrible color palettes. None of them work for me.
*The new "meatballs" menu: This is where you can copy the post link, unfollow the Tumblr who made or reblogged the post, or report a violation to our Community Guidelines.
I could do all of this from the user menus with xkit, too. I don’t regularly report violations or have the urge to block people I have chosen to follow. Why on earth would I want to do any of this? And why would I want these features located directly beside the post link copy feature?
You know what I do miss? I miss the xkit timestamps feature. I didn’t have to hover dangerously close to the KILL IT WITH FIRE meatballs menu in order to see when a post was made, and in this era of disinformation and misinformation spreading around this site faster than Covid-19, being able to see when a post was ORIGINALLY created is a far more useful feature than an easier way to block people. For reference: I currently have three blogs blocked. Two of them are pornbots. One is a nazi. If I don’t want someone’s content on my dash, I don’t follow them. This “feature” is entirely useless to me.
*A quick note: Pagination is not supported in this beta test, but we're collecting feedback to send to our engineers.
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. This beta test might actually be tolerable if I wasn’t trapped into endless scrolling. If I could page through my dash, refreshing it every ten posts or so. You know why? Because once I scroll about 30 posts down my dash, tumblr starts overheating my laptop under the load of ALL THOSE POSTS. Things start malfunctioning-- it takes longer and longer to load new posts the farther I scroll. And the keyboard navigation (both page down and hitting J to advance to the next post, and even just using the down arrow to scroll as I read a long post) freeze and stop functioning. One of my laptop fans has actually begun to malfunction.
You know why this wasn’t a problem on the old version? If the data load got to heavy, I could open a post in a new tab, click view on dash with xkit, and voila! Brand new tab! I could close the malfunctioning tab and everything would be refreshed to normal! But without pagination, THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Also, after reblogging a few posts, the beta version of this site breaks, and doesn’t open a post tab to add commentary or even tags. It just... reblogs the untagged post with no warning whatsoever. You know... that’s really really not cool. I tag EVERYTHING. Well, almost everything. The tags are the only way to keep track of the 40k+ posts on my blog. And warn people that I am posting potential spoilers, or other specific content. It’s REALLY inconvenient to have to either immediately go to my blog to edit the post and add tags, or even comments. The alternative is to scroll up to open individual posts I want to reblog in a new tab, and then reblog directly there. Ironically enough, THOSE pages actually open with xkit installed, and everything (surprise!) functions perfectly there.
It’s perfectly reasonable to understand why this specific issue has limited the number of posts I reblog. Reblogging content should not be this much of a hassle. Creators have been complaining for a while that reblogs have drastically slowed down, and I think making it even more annoying and difficult to reblog posts will not help this problem.
Also, with xkit enabled, there’s a function that auto-loads images as you scroll, so the images are always visible BEFORE they appear on screen. I don’t have to look at the colored boxes and wonder if this is a post I’ve already seen or something I should sit and wait for. Don’t even think about watching tumblr videos. Loading priority is given to the ads that you cannot pause or dismiss, so that video loads and plays in choppy two second bursts instead of being given priority. Since that’s the content I am actually here to consume, it kinda makes me want to do the opposite of patronizing anyone who advertises here with graphically intense ads. And then when you scroll away, with xkit, gifs and videos you’ve scrolled past STOP loading and playing, which I think might be contributing to the intensity of the resource hogging that’s literally melting down my laptop.
And for reference, I have a pretty decent little gaming laptop. A blogging platform shouldn’t be driving it to the brink of frying itself. I didn’t realize just how much xkit worked to streamline this and provide basic functionality to this site.
*And lastly, if you're an XKit user, know that the XKit team is working hard to update things on their end to make it compatible with the beta dashboard.
And this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what I’ve lost without xkit. And this is a really REALLY garbage response to user complaints. “Oh, yeah, sorry we made our site suck even worse, but those nice people who do our jobs for free will surely fix our garbage soon!”
Dear wonderful people at @new-xkit-extension, I love you, and I miss you, and while I wish xkit worked with this beta version I’ve been forced into living with, I truly feel for y’all who are trying to deal with this nonsense on behalf of all of us.
And to the folks at Tumblr... maybe try to just... make your site actually more like xkit. You know, actually functional. None of these special new features are useful or functional to me. I respectfully request for a fourth time to be removed from this inane beta test.
Give us OPTIONS. Let us display ALL THE TAGS without having to click a button. Let me have back my Activity+ that actually allowed me to interact with people from my dash! That showed me real-time inline notifications in a way that I could reply to with a single click! Bring me back to my column of open messaging conversation icons so I have easy access to the people I talk with throughout the day instead of closing them all every time I refresh the page. I already feel socially isolated in freaking quarantine, please stop shutting off all my avenues of communication!
Let us have pagination! I mean, maybe it wasn’t the best idea to force heavy users of this site into a beta version that doesn’t allow us to opt out until your engineers had actually figured out how to make it work in a very basic way.
*Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
YES. PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM THIS BETA TEST NOW. I have let you know exactly what I want from this site. I just want it to ACTUALLY WORK. For someone who spends 12+ hours a day on this site, this beta test version is NONFUNCTIONAL. PLEASE ALLOW ME TO OPT OUT. I AM LITERALLY BEGGING YOU. I WILL ACTUALLY PAY YOU CASH MONEY TO ALLOW ME TO OPT OUT OF THIS AND GO BACK TO HAVING A FUNCTIONAL BLOG AGAIN. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!
PLEASE!
I AM OFFICIALLY AT THE END OF MY PATIENCE FOR ENDURING THIS NIGHTMARE.
(one final quick note... I’ve only been back on my dash long enough to make the parenthetical edits-- i.e. adding italics that don’t display and then adding the asterisks at the beginning of each section of quoted text, and already my laptop is overheating again. For reference, I originally typed this entire post from within my tumblr inbox page-- which still functions normally with xkit-- and spent over an hour on it. My laptop was fine the entire time. Clearly the issue is this beta version of the website. I will never forgive tumblr if y’all fry my literal only portal to the outside world at this time. PUT ME BACK TO NORMAL NOW. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING AND ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE. Thanks)
(oops apparently i lied... when the asterisks and the previous final note failed to display, I thought that seemed suspicious, and realized that I literally needed to refresh my entire dash in order to see edited changes. Funny how xkit enabled me to do that in real time, which is just another bit of functionality I’ve lost with this beta program. Please guys, this is really, really not working for me at all, just put it back.)

Are you doing okay what with all the VV stuff that happened? It seemed like you and Mina were close
Hey hey, thanks for the worries anon! Mina of mvcreates/Violet Vineyard and I were properly talking as friends for only a few months quite a long time ago. Emotionally I’m completely fine, but I do have stuff to say and I do want to help document things if any of it is useful in any way. A lot of it will be dry because it’s just documenting, but some of it will be “juicier” I guess, and I’d like to corroborate some of the things my friends are saying. I’ll put this under the cut for people who don’t want to scroll through all this and/or have no idea what I’m talking about and want to keep it that way!
You guys can check @nuwuhorizons‘s blog to see what exactly is going on and I believe they’re also reblogging some things others who were members are saying. The case of people dogpiling a 19-year-old trans person and making fun of their name is on the blog (post here, wayback machined here).
I can corroborate a bunch of what @rrrawrf-writes (post here, wayback machined here) and @gingerly-writing (post here, wayback machined here) have said. I backread through the interaction that Ginger talks about in her post (of course not the DMs, but the interaction itself).
I know some people may be confused about why Ginger only has that one screenshot of what she said and may not see that as full evidence, but Violet Vineyard had a super strict “don’t screenshot and post anything” with lots of scary looking legal stuff attached to it policy and, well, Ginger can’t be sharing stuff without anyone’s permission if it’s just the message she herself sent, but they’d have grounds to take god knows what action with what backing against her if she posted something else. But, well, for what it’s worth, as someone who read through that conversation a little after it happened, it was certainly a case of dogpiling and left a bad taste in my mouth, and it strikes me as really odd that the mods would try to shut someone down like that.
I haven’t really been doing stuff in writeblr lately as you can probably tell from my blog, but yeah, Mina herself and a lot of people in that particular friend group of hers, as Lisa mentions, have just disappeared off Tumblr. I can also attest to the dogpiling tendencies and this Mina Is Always Right tendency, and the fervor with which people would defend her.
I was honestly never close enough to Mina to be in that friend group. She and I were only really talking to each other for a few months over a year ago. I don’t think I was “writeblr-y” enough to fit in with them. I was also not super active in that server. I didn’t post much about my wips because I in general don’t think I really post a lot about them. Therefore I didn’t get like, massive benefits off of the whole “network” thing, but  I’d reblog some stuff when I saw it. I was probably most known for posting pictures of my plants, lol. And I would occasionally hop in to talk briefly about kpop with like, one person? (They went by Kay and their url was like, lvcrezia? lvcrezias? Something like that.) In fact, probably the last thing I ever said in that server was a super quick conversation about Red Velvet’s “Monster” music video around the time it dropped.
In fact, for the sake of being super transparent/establishing credibility, and for documenting purposes, I’ll list all the non-plant-pictures and non-kpop conversations I can remember actually participating in. Some of these will lead off into bigger topics, and I’ll specify those. But first, a word.
TO ANY OF THE FORMER MODS WHO MIGHT COME AFTER ME FOR SAYING THINGS ABOUT THE SERVER, SINCE THIS HAS APPARENTLY HAPPENED TO OTHERS: The server is deleted, and so is the text of the whole “contract” (yes, really) that people had to agree to in order to join VV. I remember that the agreement made sure we didn’t post screenshots publicly, but other than that I genuinely do not remember the text and I have no way of referencing it to keep in line with it since the server is deleted. I do not remember if documenting things like this is against anything I have agreed to, I have no record of the agreement, and I have not been notified of any place to access a record of the agreement before the server was deleted. If my post is some sort of violation, you cannot hold me accountable for rules that I am unable to follow, and I would greatly appreciate not being targeted with empty threats shrouded in scary legal language. If you have any point of contention with what I have said, feel free to take it up either publicly or privately. Please do @ me if it’s specific to me; I’m not really the vagueposting kind. If any of you want me to delete this post, you will need to provide actual proof of the agreement that I made by joining Violet Vineyard, and you will also need to prove that the rules were not edited after I agreed to them. If any of them were follow-up rules not from the beginning of the server, it’s possible that I did not see them and therefore you need to provide proof that I agreed to those, too. In addition, since image editing is what set off this avalanche in the first place hence we’re all aware that there’s software that allows us to edit images and pass them off as an original thing, you’ll need to provide proof that any screenshots/images are undoctored. Furthermore, since the rules have been deleted with the server, as the method I used to agree to follow them, you must prove that my agreement is still valid, since it seems to me it’s been nullified since it’s, well, gone either through deletion or kicking me out alongside everyone else. Tl;dr you don’t scare me lol.
Anyways, back to a list of the non-kpop, non-plant-pics, non-my-wips-promo conversations I can actually remember:
On January 5, 2020, the server had a conversation about Roshani Chokshi’s book The Gilded Wolves. I can give the date because during/in the aftermath of the conversation, which I talked about the book in, Mina DMed me quickly. (This was also the last time Mina ever directly contacted me.) I’ll talk about this later.
In February 2020 I believe I quickly mentioned getting concert tickets.
Either early this year or late last year I think I posted some stuff about landscape photography, with some photos of the beach.
I believe I posted a couple fashion pics at some point?
Back in May 2019 I got some kinda weird asks about Violet Vineyard and I think people were talking about that, and I assume I participated since I was the one who received the asks. At that time VV was like a super new server and didn’t really have much as far as the issues we’ve been talking about go, so I defended it. (I’ll be talking about this later.)
Probably in June/July 2019 people in the server had a discussion about Black Muslim characters and representation, initiated by me for one of my WIPs.
I think we talked about South Asian sweets at some point???
I believe in April/May 2019, there was some stuff in that server reagarding “drama” with Castor who at that time went by the url pilipalea that I honestly don’t remember much of. Castor was never in VV, but I believe they were in a server with Mina at some other point. There was something about grammar and proofreading?? (I’ll be referencing this soon as well.)
I helped someone with their computer science homework at some point.
I asked for r&b music recs at some point either late 2019 or earlier 2020.
I’ve also talked about ethnic clothes I think.
We’ve talked about Hindu nationalism and how awful it is.
I think we’ve talked about tone policing and how woc are often portrayed as “aggressive.”
We’ve talked about health/fitness and exercise.
I recommended Jade City and some other books I’m a fan of in there.
Probably talked about Bollywood movies at some point.
The fact that I can remember probably most of my conversations that lasted more than like, one message in there is, I think, a pretty good testament to a) me having at least a kind of decent memory and b) I wasn’t participating in the server so regularly that the conversations kind of blend together. I know this is all kind of long and dry for anyone who’s here for drama purposes lol, but I did want to establish that I’ve been in that server for quite a while and that I wasn’t monitoring it heavily; in fact, I had it muted very soon after joining it.
I wasn’t super close to anyone that I’d met through VV. People who are friends that I still regularly contact who were in VV with me, I had met through other servers and other interactions on Tumblr. I’ll disclose right now that I have been longtime friends with Ginger, Lisa, and Eff (@time-to-write-and-suffer), who have all come out against VV, and that we are in our own servers with people from writeblr. Ginger and Lisa were both in VV, Eff has never been.
Okay, back to maybe “juicier” stuff.
Mina had always positioned herself almost as this “tumblr mom” type. She’d reference her age a lot, which would contrast a lot with how a significant portion of the members were much younger and, I think, set up the dynamic of people looking up a lot to her and always coming to her defense. After all, we’re talking a bunch of passionate kids who’d found a writeblr network. And the server definitely seemed “legit”; I myself was pretty impressed with just how tightly organized everything was, and like I mentioned, there was fancy legal language to ~protect their rights~ and whatnot. Mina herself seemed so accomplished with so many talents: she’d post her writing and artwork, I believe she’d made a couple pieces of music, she’d work out and keep in shape, she had a seemingly wonderful loving relationship with her husband, she was active in research fields professionally and as an outbreak responder, and she, of course, had a significant online presence as a “big writeblr.” I remember when she’d started blowing up, so soon after her blog had been created, because of her prolific content and friendly persona. People, especially younger ones who had no other writeblr support group, looked up to her and trusted her. And the nature of the server was to shower everyone in praise, so Mina found herself on the receiving end of quite a bit of it. Mina would also actively boost and review other writers’ content, genuinely engaging with it and providing feedback, support, and valuable resources.
Mina also had a tight-knit group of adult friends. Some of them I believe carried over from pre-VV times (incuding CJ of typewriter-jade if I’m remembering correctly, who made fun of the trans person’s name in the reblog chain in the link to nuwuhorizons’s blog), while some were made afterwards. They would act super friendly and familiar with each other, which I think contributed to a lot of people falling into this little “friendship” super fast. They were also authority figures and role models, and tended to agree with each other, so everyone just went along with that.
These factors, I think, heavily influenced the dogpiling tendencies. People were eager to defend their community, where they’d found so much love and support for their work. Minors would go along with adults in conversations. When someone said something, others would enthusiastically support them. And people were just so into each other that I really couldn’t keep up, which is probably why I didn’t participate too much. People became just super fast friends and the server was so large and so seemingly “professional” and structured in how it was made. I think people just kind of assumed everyone in there was great and their friend who could be trusted deeply, when in reality that’s just impossible if there are like, 100+ members. Meaning if something minorly negative happened (like on that literal eleven-year-old’s blog), everyone would come in to say something to demonstrate their emphatic loyalty, even when it became excessive for something as small as an ask game done wrong.
This happened with the Gilded Wolves discussion as well. Someone stepped in to say that the way Gilded Wolves coded its antagonists as this shady secret society of people was antisemitic, and everyone joined in to rip the book apart without having even read it. I joined in the conversation to state that I didn’t see it that way, since that shady antagonist group was very much coded as white Christians (their names are all French Christian names) and were colonizers (meaning making them this shadowy group of powerful and evil people was accurate) and one of the protagonists, who is Jewish, is opposing them and antisemitism is portrayed as horrible, and that the book had had (if I’m remembering correctly) Jewish sensitivity readers and multiple Jewish book reviewers really enjoyed and recommended it. Then Mina stepped in to say that multiple Jewish journals she followed rated the book highly and recommended it meaning the accusation of antisemitism clashed heavily with what a lot of other people thought, and that since me and the other person who was saying the book was antisemitic were the only ones who had read it or were familiar with it in any capacity, it wasn’t fair for everyone to be judging it like that. It was like she’d flipped a switch: people were suddenly much more “reasonable” and “fair” and willing to give the book a chance, just because she’d stepped in. (As a quick note, I don’t remember exactly whether Mina stepped in first or if I stated my opinion first. I also want to mention that Mina DMed me to state that the person who accused the book of antisemitism had expressed some Zionist sentiments in the past and to say that maybe their take on the book could have come from Islamophobia with them maybe assuming obviously ethnic name of the author was a Muslim name. The Zioinist stuff is something I can’t actually speak on since again, I have no access to the server anymore and I don’t remember that person’s url. This was the last time Mina DMed me or I her.)
I wrote all that out because I think it illustrates a few things. Firstly, a good example of the tendencies of people going with the flow of things even when it led to dogpiling/drastic conclusions. When I say they were really trashing that book, I mean it! Secondly, it demonstrates the willingness of everyone to go along with what Mina said. Third, it shows that Mina was capable of stepping in to prevent dogpiling (and, seemingly, she would, at least if her beliefs aligned with the opposite of whatever incited the dogpiling) and that people would listen to her and actually change their minds.
Whether or not Mina supported something was pretty important. Of course, it was her server, so she was definitely allowed to run it how she saw fit, but she would very swiftly pass judgement on things and everyone would just comply. One time, I think there were more than one different threads of conversation happening in the general channel of the server. Jess suggested making a second general channel to allow for other conversations, as is common in a lot of servers, including ones I’m in and moderate/own/have some power in. I don’t remember if I supported that suggestion or if I only backread that conversation, but I know at least one other person agreed. Mina said that as an older person (she’d very frequently bring up her age) she thought people could just wait for their turn in a conversation and didn’t even consider trying it out. Other mods, I believe, backed her up and said no to the second general conversation channel. I remember being a little confused as to why nobody even considered trying a member’s suggestion to make the server more easy to participate it and help provide additional structure/support how big it was, and why it was shut down because people could just wait for their turn, when clearly the general channel was getting overloaded before our eyes. But Mina didn’t see the need, so therefore nobody else wanted to do anything about it, and nobody ever mentioned it again, I think. I know this is a super minor instance lol, but I do think it illustrates something about the behavior in the server and how it was run. It’s not like other channels weren’t added based on need; one was created for the 2018 elections, one was created for talking about race in June during the height of BLM protests having news coverage, I’m pretty sure one was created for talking about the coronavirus. So, the mods were watching conversations and responding as they saw fit, they just wouldn’t field this request, for some reason. Obviously conversations getting muddled in a general channel isn’t as significant as major political events, antiblack racism, or a pandemic, but these channels were made to improve the server experience and likely to prevent these topics from completely overloading other channels, so, well.
Okay, the Castor/pilipalea stuff and dogpiling. I’ll say this stuff now because Castor has opened up about it (here [wayback machined] and here [archived in a google doc]), so I see that as permission for others to comment on it. If I’m remembering correctly and looking back at the right things, there was something about Mina giving advice on a grammatical error to one of her mutuals, or something asking if her mutuals wanted grammatical advice? Castor vagueblogged, presumably about that, and talked about classism in expecting good grammar from people, which is a valid issue, but seemed misapplied to this instance of someone consenting to receive advice on grammar/syntax/mechanics, if that’s what the vagueblogging was about. I reached out to Mina to let her know that I thought someone was vagueblogging about her, and she told me about past conflicts with Castor. I also reached out to Castor over DMs to ask what the vagueblogging was about, because you genuinely never know; classist prescriptivism is harmful and bad, and so many people on Tumblr are in so many different circles that similar topics may come up coincidentally. Castor wasn’t clear with me either about what the post was targeting and skirted around naming names.
At this point, looking back, it still seems to be that it was about Mina, especially considering that Castor had previous history with her and others in her circle. Mina was irritated by the vagueblogging (who likes being vagueblogged about?) and also informed me, all the way back in April 2019, about this past server drama that Castor mentioned. It seems to me that it stemmed from a misunderstanding: Mina and I believe other mods noticed another person using Castor’s PSDs without credit. Mina checked with Castor about whether people should be crediting them for PSDs and Castor said that, yes, they wanted credit; you can see this interaction in the screenshot Castor linked on their post.
This is where the accounts of what happened diverge: Mina expressed to me that she and the other mods weren’t very harsh since they’d seen that Castor’s friend had credited Castor in the past, so they just wanted to remind Castor’s friend to give credit, without knowing that Castor’s friend had permission to use the PSDs without crediting. I was told that Mina and the team of mods were professional in their handling of this; Castor has stated in their post that the group was extremely harsh. Since I don’t have any screenshots or exact records of what they said before I was in contact with Mina, I can’t comment, so I’ll withhold judgement on that. According to Mina, she and the other mods had not been very vocal about this crediting/PSD stuff, and very few people knew about it, so it did seem like Castor had attacked Mina out of nowhere.
What I can say is that the VV members were certainly quick to respond to the grammar vagueblog, and that if I’m remembering correctly, readily jumped to Mina’s defense. I distinctly remember that one VV member specifically asked whether it was about Mina in a reblog. This happened pretty early on in VV’s existence and I believe was the first major “drama” that VV got embroiled in. Looking back, I do think it was fair to be critical of Castor’s post. But this was also the first look at the tendencies people had of getting embroiled in the fervor of any perceived slight against a member (in particular Mina).
I noticed this again when I received anons that were sort of bitter about VV’s existence in May 2019, way before VV had gained the reputation that it has now. People were very quick to respond with hostility and slightly amplify the anger expressed by other members, and little by little things got really out of hand. I can totally understand being upset and irritated, since the asks were kind of unwarranted and the sender did apologize if I remember correctly. But there was a huge outpouring of vicious language from a lot of the members, and this was, I think, the first instance of proper dogpiling in VV, especially since it was an easy antagonist; the sender was out of line, and they were totally anonymous.
These were the only two instances of going to bat for VV that I ever participated in. For the other things, I either only backread or missed them completely. While they don’t really paint VV in a super bad light, not like the dogpiling of an eleven-year-old that Jess mentions in her post, it did give me a pretty good idea of how VV handled controversies.
I’ve mentioned some of my theories of why this dogpiling/toxicity happened. I’d also like to add that Mina would often send concise, decisively-worded statements about things. I think this may have come across as final-word judgments to a lot of people, so they would take that as the last say on a certain matter and escalate in severity of their response from there. And like, you should trust your friends and take what they say in good faith. But you still need to be thinking critically and considering your response, especially when you haven’t known someone for very long. And this, I think, was a big source of toxicity in the server. There were just so many people responding to the same issues and aligning their beliefs, and they’d build off each other and create an environment where these kinds of responses were okay. Plus, VV was always portrayed as a tight-knit family when not everyone knew each other and not everyone was active (as is totally normal for a massive server), so this also contributed to people wanting to defend each other all the time. And I don’t think the mod team did an adequate job of shutting it down, despite the veneer of a structured, sort of more “professional” space.
Okay, now onto the art stuff.
Disclaimer, I don’t draw digital or physical art. I was always aware that Mina was certainly at least using references for her work. In some cases I could even pinpoint which pictures were used, like one where the faceclaim was Ranveer Singh. I also received fanart of one of my characters that, of course, looked very similar to the faceclaim. It certainly was clear some tracing had happened in that picture because of the level of detail in the chikankari embroidery, but like…..it’s free fanart, chikankari isn’t copyrighted, and that embroidery is super difficult to draw anyways. What I was not aware of was Mina apparently tracing images and using them to advertise for commissions, which is something I do not condone. I also know my photography and photo editing tools, so I was aware that there was some filtering/editing going on. I’m not sure if Mina traced and didn’t disclose it for commissioned art.
Okay, now the server shutting down stuff!
I was completely unaware of the dogpiling/transphobia stuff happening in the server because I had it on mute. I only found out about all this two days ago. I received the message where everyone was @’ed about VV’s “migration” off Tumblr and that the server would be shut down. I can confirm that the concern was about mirror sites and that the server did discuss these mirror sites as a big intellectual property issue. I didn’t know people wanted the server shutting down to be kept so secret, and I honestly cannot think of a reason why; I feel like if those mirror site concerns were serious, people would be trying to spread the word on writeblr? So I think that people are right to be a little suspicious of the exact reason for the server’s closing.
I think I should mention also that people were pretty much always friendly with me on VV. I met a bunch of cool people, and Mina was always kind and supportive with me. @radley-writes has echoed similar sentiments here (wayback machined here) and here (wayback machined here) while being critical of the environment in VV.
I know this post is like, wildly long and probably quite dry and rambly at points, but I hope it does provide some specific examples to back up some of the criticisms of VV and document it a bit better.
Thank you for reading! I’ll make sure to edit this to add stuff if I remember things/see the need.
I also want to state that my post is more a critique of the environment than anything. I’m not trying to attack anyone at all, I’m just giving an account of stuff that has happened, my level of involvement, and my own thoughts on all this.
I also want to say that I am completely open to hearing what any of you have to say. Feel free to critique/discuss anything I’ve said in this post with me. If you want to vent about your experiences in/with Violet Vineyard, my inbox and DMs are totally open. If you want to keep things confidential, I won’t break your trust or reveal your identity (unless you start idk, spouting racist stuff at me or something). If you want to anonymously tell people about an experience, feel free to shoot me an anon.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful day! I’m sending you lots of love. Take care! <3

Dead Space And Isaac Clarke
Kind of difficult to think of a title that fits. But just saying wanted to make this after OK KO was done yet was on laptop for a bit not much it's 4:09 pm
Basically what I wanted to talk about a few days ago. I had found out Visceral Games the developer who made the original Dead Space trilogy was shut down. That night or something I had watched some videos and honestly saddened. That I even talked to myself about just my thoughts.
I have mentioned Dead Space before just as my earlier text post today in the morning about some aliens and shit. But I wanna get to this.
I've been wanting to make this and now I have the feeling to make it something interesting. Also spoilers for the Dead Space series just in case.
Seriously I really liked the Dead Space mainly the trilogy never played the other games or seen the animated films. Yet I seriously liked the series. Including the 2nd game. But also the character of Isaac Clarke himself.
Seriously Isaac Clarke was a bad ass mother fucker. I honestly liked it that they developed his character for the first sequel. Including when I was in the shower an hour ago or something. I thought about why I seemed to like the character very much. He's a character that's always stuck in my mind.
Including in a weird way I wanna mention I don't know if I should say Dead Space 2 is a masterpiece. I shouldn't but it's because it's the only game I've completed while I watched the endings of the 1st and 3rd games. Yet got far in them a bit I guess for the first. Seriously I was young a bit. Including I kept replaying Dead Space 2 because it had a new game option where I can have all my equipment I had and I loved that. Along with I honestly loved the story and Isaac in that game.
I thought of possibly the reason why I honestly like Isaac a lot. Including why he's stuck as one of my favorites. Is because despite the series being set in the 26th century in a scifi setting he is seriously a normal guy a engineer who got caught up in shit with the nercomorphs. In a weird way I've kind of compared him to something similar like the protagonist's of the Silent Hill games. Where Resident Evil that series the characters are mostly trained for any sort of situation. Yet that doesn't mean Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and others aren't bad characters. But compared to the likes of Harry Mason from the first Silent Hill game and James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2 had to check Youtube for his last name and again right now in case. But those guys were normal people. Including Silent Hill 2 from what I've know and see is a more personal story compared to Harry while it's another story but also looking for his daughter Cherry.
It's a weird comparison but it's something I feel is like that with Isaac. But this time in a science fiction setting. Including Dead Space 2 is where their was the story about the Sprawl but also Isaac's personal struggle.
Including what amazes me and I can't believe I'm still stunned by this discovery very long ago. Remembering reading a YouTube comment surprised and went to the wiki revealing Isaac was 49 years old during the events of Dead Space 2 and 3 because 3 takes a few months after 2. Meaning he's almost 50 when in the first and second I thought he was in his 30's or 40's not mid to late 40's.
While I'm not surprised by Bill from Left 4 Dead who's age is unknown and some of the Overwatch characters. I think I'm so surprised and enlightened by the character of Isaac of how much shit he goes through. While having some narly suits okay a friend sent a photo but the guy is seriously a normal person. Including someone who's not trained for combat. Something similar to the characters of the first Alien and other stuff. Because people compare Alien and Dead Space.
Also seriously the voice of Gunner Wright is amazing and him voicing but also being the model for the character. That I was looking up some videos while waiting for the OK KO such as this sounds video of him from Dead Space 2 just mainly screaming, groaning, and breathing.
Funny thing I said this when I was in room said I'm 49 fucken years old trying to be Isaac yet he never says that. But it does relate to just....I just love it when he swears or just... seriously. Including my favorite line from the series and kind of want this as a meme it's from the ending of Dead Space 2.
"FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR MARKER!" seriously I love that line Including all the shit leading up to that.
Seriously some people don't seem to like that Isaac got a personality but I'm sorry or not I fucking loved it that the 2nd game went that direction.
Also let's talk about the games themselves the games are awesome. They have awesome gameplay and honestly scary at times. Including the Nercomorphs these brutal undead mother fuckers that do scare me and are just awesome. Along with how gruesome they are and tough. Including the whole dismemberment of arms and legs. Really I feel Dead Space 2 takes the cake as the most fucked up in the series. It's been a while since I've played the first and the third is a different story.
I wanna talk about the shutting down of Visceral Games and that I even thought about and concerned of me buying another EA game. You've heard their terrible. Along with I remember the last EA game I bought was Titanfall 2 got that for Christmas of last year i think. It's a game I really enjoy but been a long while since I've played it. Including fans talking about the possibility of getting a new publisher please.
Also about Dead Space 3 I'm okay with it. Yet yeah I feel the action direction basically people talked about this and it's maybe similar to that of Resident Evil and how it went down that route.
Seriously I liked the addition of John Carver the other character you could play as. A soldier compared to Isaac who is a engineer. I didn't play the co op because I do not wanna get an EA account. Just okay looked twice tv on yet I wanna say I have seen his cutscenes. I seriously felt like and talked to someone who's on Deviantart and on here haven't followed them. We both agreed and I would of personally liked it if John's personal missions where he's basically kind of going through well yeah the same thing as Isaac in the first two games. Including that it mainly stays to the horror side of things.
But seriously their was some stuff I was bothered by with certain directions they went with. Including that story DLC Awakened while nice but this stupid cliffhanger.
Yet will say would of liked it if you could played as John Carver in single player at times instead of... honestly this co op it's a nice idea just....the action direction and just this one video s gaming Jim Sterling I looked on YouTube. Found this video too this is where I found out about the information but just at the part where they talk about Visceral Games shutting down. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ4eie-e2hc
Including that guys video I mentioned was the 2nd video I watched.
Really I wasn't all that sad at first but then even thinking about it more. Okay I was sad at first. But then I got to think about it more and it just sucks. Basically a video game franchise I liked and respected. Including a video game character I loved I said is now dead in a way.
Including I think yeah I wanted a Dead Space 4 but seriously even a HD Remaster of the first three games because I love those games and I honestly live for remasters because it's difficult to let go of certain games unless you have the system for it. Just yawned yet not everyone wants to do that.
Even today I thought of can we give Dead Space to a new developer or just reboot Dead Space and give it to a new developer.
Yet honestly realistically that's not gonna happen. Including Dead Space is one of EA's games as Visceral Games was built up with EA. But seriously I'm sure I don't want another EA related game again because I don't wanna give them money.
Really it's sad seeing a series like Dead Space go. A series I honestly liked and would of loved to see more games. Including again me liking the character of Isaac Clarke.
Basically during my time before I wanted to try to make this like I mentioned. But also looked on Wikipedia a bit of Dead Space not Visceral Games. Yet I also watched that funny yet nice Random Encounters musical of Dead Space and honestly would love a 2nd part.
Including decided to listen to it's called award winner a the music playing for the Remembering SpongeBob from well SpongeBob SquarePants. Just thinking of Isaac Clarke mainly. Honestly something like that surprised more people haven't used that as a joke but also a nice thing to remembering something you liked a lot dearly. It should be a meme in a way. So without further a do.
Remembering Dead Space and Isaac Clarke.
*gonna find music https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p6DKzNRdwyI now gifs oh God it's playing the song*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the 7th wanted to type but wanted to put more. Yet wanted to say for that part I put there 3rd gif by mistake. Including I even said to myself after I found out the news.
That Isaac Clarke in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale was honestly awesome and I guess beautiful I'm thinking now. Because I'm a fan of the series and the character. Including it was my first DLC I ever downloaded on my old PS3 when I joined PlayStation Network. Now I can't play my old PS3 and can't get Isaac or any of the other dlc characters. Seriously no complete or ultimate edition definitive edition I wanted to say and spell right before ultimate. Also the music rarely plays like that and tried it again but couldn't lol. Now got tags down wanted to share this lol just wanted to talk just okay to smile. Yet sad but just breathe I wanted to talk about this oh stomach a bit my thoughts on this I'm stalling now 13 just 5:13 typing too fast and smiled a bit even now
