I have a 2 of questions, 1 being how old do you make each of the stormhawks cast
2 is how do you portray the hawks personality wise
Yay more questions!
First question: I decided to kind of rearrange everyone’s ages more or less for the purposes of my story so as follows:
Aerrow, Piper and Junko are 16, Finn is 15, Stork is 20 and Radarr is 10
Cyclonis is 14 and the Dark Ace is 28
I haven’t done Ravess or Snipe yet but they’d also be in their 20’s I’d say.
Second question: I try to keep everyone as close as they are in the show? While adding a few things here and there that would still make sense, to me personally at least. Like Aerrow’s still his cocky, dare devil self who’s the hero but he sometimes acts first, thinks later or focuses a lot on a certain idea before Piper helps him see it a different way.
Piper’s the voice of reason who tries to keep everyone in line but she’s also a good friend and someone you can trust. She’s gentle and patient and smart but has her moments of weakness.
Finn is the goofy friend who doesn’t want to put in much effort but can definitely get the job done when he needs to. He voices his opinions openly no matter what the consequences may be and he’s also a true friend who will do anything for those closest to him.
Junko’s kind and eager to help in any way he can, he’s there for his friends and those in need. He‘s patient and forgiving but you still definitely don’t want to mess with him.
Stork’s weird and kooky, likes to read about death and ancient diseases. Doesn’t seem like he’s having a good time most of the time but he values his friends and their adventures dearly. Can be very brave when the situation calls for it, but he’s gonna complain the whole time. Surprisingly skilled.
Radarr’s the faithful companion, he might not like it, but he’ll join Aerrow on any adventure he takes him on, if only to make sure he doesn’t die. Very opinionated but his friends rarely listen. Quite smart and works well under pressure. If you’ve earned his friendship, consider yourself lucky.
Thanks for the questions :D

After YEARS of saying I was gonna draw this, I finally did.
Here is a visual guide to my vampires! The first of a mini field guide I wanna do. We start with a breakdown of the 3 different sub species of vampire.
Snow, Desert and Forest.
The Desert type is believed to be the oldest of the three and vampires with ties to the first of their kind will be of the desert type.
A thin, athletic build with long legs and a slender snout make them look very regal. They are the fastest of the three, though they are better at sprinting than long distance running.
The second oldest is the Snow type. They have evolved to live in the colder parts of Atmos, with long fluffy fur and a stockier build to help them survive the harshest of winters.
Most of the population has white or lighter hair, to help them blend into the snow. Their large paws act like snowshoes to help them traverse their territory.
Lastly we have the Forest vampires. They evolved a bit more recently but have quickly become the most numerous. Their medium build and short coat make them very adaptable to most environments.
They have a high stamina, allowing them to chase prey for miles compared to their desert cousins and their varied coat patterns help them blend into the different biomes of Atmos.
Eclipse is a mix of all three :3

So I see y’all liked vampire Aerrow ;3
Have some more sketches and some fun facts!
Aerrow sometimes breathes out smoke and embers when he’s annoyed, it turns into fire when he’s especially mad.
He can create blue flames at will and can use them to light candles or shoot down skimmers, if he focuses, he can even fly for short distances.
He can also heat up his body enough to cut through thick sheets of metal with his claws.

Another question! Sorry XD
So I was recently looking through some of your older stuff, and honestly it was fun to see how much Eclipse has developed.
Though my main question is what made you decide to switch out the “other world” narrative? As well as change Eclipse wolf form from white with black markings to black with white and brown markings? I think I also saw that Aerrow was originally just supposed to be white as well? Was that just a spieces thing you had at the time?
Thank you for another question! I love delving into the behind the scenes stuff of this story.
First question: I guess I wanted my story to feel more mature? Not that other world narratives can’t be written well, but for this one, I found that it felt a little childish to have Eclipse come from earth and be a fan of the show and know everything about everyone. Having it all take place on Atmos just worked better for the story I wanted to publish.
Second question: I didn’t like coloring stuff in when I was younger so vampires used to all be black and white as a result, and people kept confusing the characters for each other. I also started to go to school for art and animation and decided to work on my designs to make them more professional. I decided to use their human hair color as their fur color just to keep things uniform and also realized Eclipse needed to have black fur since she has black hair. Though her white fur design still holds a special place in my heart.
As for the brown, I still wanted to make her look like a mutt or a Frankenstein kind of creation so that’s why her back half is different from her front half. Though I’m debating changing that again lol, we’ll see.
Thanks for the questions :D

I believe you explained the distinction before, but what are the differences between your vampires and werewolves? I can see them getting confused for one another and Eclipse getting very annoyed about it lol.
Also, the markings. Is there a reason why only the males get it and the females don’t?
Omg! A question! I love questions :D thanks bestie!
So basically, I could only draw animals when I was younger but I still liked the idea of using vampires for my story, so I made them shapeshifters? They can change at will instead of waiting for the full moon. They’re also not true wolves since they have cat-like qualities as well. They just happen to closely resemble wolves.
Werewolves also don’t exist in my universe but the legends about them may have stemmed from early vampires, that’s a story I’ll explain another time.
As for the markings, they used to be a thing females had as well but somewhere along the line I liked the idea of having some sexual dimorphism in the species? Which means males have different physical features than females. There’s no real lore reasons outside of that really.
Hope I answered your questions :D

Here’s my entry for @far-side-skies oc challenge!
You get a two in one this month :b
Names: Astennu, god of death, and Femi, goddess of life
Home terra: Terra Shezmu? Or all of Atmos
Bio: About 5000 years ago, a group of humans sought to create a crystal that could give them unimaginable power and longevity, they succeeded but at a great cost. They were transformed into animalistic monsters who could only drink blood. Those that survived the rampage quickly tried to destroy the crystal to prevent this from ever happening again but it began to heal itself, pulling the pieces back together except for one shard, which was taken and hidden somewhere deep on Atmos.
Since the vampires, as the creatures came to be called, could not be killed, they were left to roam Atmos, soon turning more humans into one of their own. As their numbers grew, the gods of Atmos created new gods to govern them, one to bring them death and one to bring them life.
Astennu was created first to bring order to the land, giving the vampires their mortality and their weaknesses. Modern vampires describe him as quiet and stern, he rarely chooses to intervene on mortal affairs, choosing to focus on his main job of making sure the cycle of life and death continues.
Femi was created second to bring prosperity to the new species of Atmos. She gives them their long life as well as their ability to transform back into their human forms, should they so choose. Femi is described as cheerful and loving, often granting gifts to the mortals and keeping a close eye on them.
Astennu and Femi are also mates, with their “soul mark” being a butterfly. Symbolizing their duties to the cycle of life and death.

good and bad doggos.
I had a lot of fun designing the feral forms for Ace and Aerrow, decided to try my hand at what Lightning Strike might look like too. This is also a good opportunity to explain some lore for my vampires.
Vampires are a species with sexual dimorphism, meaning, males exhibit different physical traits than females. Males are born with what’s called a “Soul Mark”, said marking appears at birth and goes down to the skin. It shows that vampire’s true self, their core personality.
Marks can take many forms, but often take on a tribal look, taking up the whole back, even in human form.
Wild vampires consider “strong” markings as incredibly special, often taking them into account when naming their children, believing that the gods have something special in store for them.
Lightning’s mark, a lion, symbolizes his courage, loyalty, and heart.
Ace’s mark, a dragon, symbolizes his strength, intelligence and ferocity.
Which leads me into the next bit, females are born without one so they gain the mark of their mate when they become official. In the case of two males getting together, their marks merge to form a new one. Once Ace became mates with Vireo, his mark changed to accommodate both their marks, the arrows on the dragon symbolize Vireo’s ambition, quick wit and power.
I guess I’m making this a bit of a series lol, I’ll explain Aerrow and Kato’s mark next. Thanks for reading!

awoo! it’s the vamp pack :D
here’s every member of Eclipse’s family to date. Although real life wolves don’t actually display “alpha wolf” behavior, I’ve decided my vampires do. So Vireo ( @uncertainty5 ‘s character) becomes alpha of the pack soon after he gets turned by Ace because of his leadership position on his home terra and his dominant personality.
Vampires aren’t exclusively a patriarchal society but they do value physical and emotional strength in their males. One must prove to be a good mate and be able to provide for their pack.
Packs are mostly made up of family units but there can be small packs made of friends. Xaria is the alpha of her own small pack of friends for instance.
fun design facts: Kato and Sora technically take more after Eclipse but because of his green eyes and ginger hair, Kato is often said to look more like Aerrow. There’s no mistaking who Xaria looks more like though, lol.
There are 3 known vampire species: Desert, Snow, and Forest. Since Eclipse is a genetic hybrid of all 3, her children display these different traits in their designs. Sora is more of a Snow vampire, with her white fur and fluffy coat. She is muscular and has large paws to help her navigate snowy terrain. Kato is more of a Desert vampire, with a lean frame and long legs built to run on hot sand. Lastly Xaria, taking more after her father, is a Forest vampire, with an athletic and agile build, she’s built for endurance and a coat that can survive most climates.
There are more questions to be answered but I don’t want to spoil too much of the fic, which will be released soon :3 Hope you enjoyed this little bit of lore!

Behold! Eclipse’s wolf form!
I feel like I haven’t fully explained this part of my vampire lore so I’ll go ahead and do that now.
All vampires are able to shapeshift into what’s known as a “feral form”, but Eclipse and her friends call it a “wolf form” for simplicity sake.
They are not actually wolves but something a bit like a mix between feline and canine.
They have retractable claws and large teeth and jaws that are strong enough to crack bone.
They have very flexible spines which make them incredibly agile. Along with slit pupils better suited to hunting in low lighting conditions.
Vampires can make a wide variety of vocalizations including: barking, howling, hissing, purring and yipping.
A vampire’s feral form will always roughly be as tall as their human form’s shoulders with the average height being around 5 feet.
There are three subspecies of vampire: Mountain, Desert and Snow. I will draw examples of these eventually but Eclipse exhibits traits from all three.

Say hello to Ace’s drowned cat.
When Rook was born, she looked like a regular 3 year old. Born from science and crystal alchemy, she’s a little freak of nature :b Ace wants nothing to do with her but she loves him immediately.

Behold! The beginning of a series on my vampire lore :D
I thought it’d be helpful if I made a visual guide as opposed to a written one. Hope you find it interesting!
Unlike more popular vampire lore, my vampires are more “animalistic” in their characteristics. Such as cat-like eyes and sharp hyena/canine teeth. Their claws are also retractable.
They’re more suited to hunting big game as opposed to trying to lure in humans.
More to come!

Part 2 of the field guide is here quicker than expected!
As I’ve said before, all vampires have the ability to transform into a feral form so I won’t repeat it here.
But here’s some more info on a unique part of my vampire lore: Soul Marks.
All male vampires are born with a special marking on their back known as a “Soul Mark.” Soul Marks often take the shape of a symbol of their truest self. Most are other animals, like fish, mammals, birds etc. but some can be more abstract like the moon, or elements.
It is believed these come from the god of death, Astennu, since he was the first to have one.
Soul Marks are believed to be a way tods attract mates, the more interesting or flashy a marking is, the more attractive that tod is. Once a pair has committed themselves to each other, the vixen will gain her partner’s marking. The process can be painful, but it is only temporary.
In the case of two tods becoming mates, their markings will merge to create a new one.

Here’s my entry for this month’s bird challenge!
Say hello to Phoenix :3 another vampire boy, I should try to design some vampire girls…cuz now I have Dorian and Phoenix…
Anyway, Phoenix’s story is kind of long but here goes, Master Anarchis started up a project taking the known vampire species and combining their best traits to create a perfect soldier for Cyclonia.
Phoenix was an early attempt but was deemed a failure when he was born blind and unable to show any promise after 2 years. He was sent to work in a crystal mine, where he was bullied and abused for 8 years.
Growing up he was called “Monster” and was used to threaten the other prisoners into working harder, lest they be fed to the beast.
Some prisoners take pity on him and give him scraps of food but what Phoenix really wants is knowledge. He doesn’t like to feel stupid, and is actually incredibly intelligent. He learns many languages after being surrounded by so many different people and discovers a lot from the crystals he digs up, being able to sense their power and analyze it through feeling alone. He’d be an incredible crystal mage if he had the opportunity.
Once he escapes the mine, he wanders around Atmos looking for books and other information, it isn’t until a small pack of vampires finds him does he learn what he is and that there are others like him. Beings who drink blood and transform into animals.
They take him back to Terra Shezmu, the hidden vampire home terra, and give him his new name, Phoenix, for rising from death and despair into a new life.
Phoenix is quiet and always looks angry or tired or both, he doesn’t trust easily and acts rather feral, but deep down, he’s happy to be where he belongs.

Time for a puppy party!
Welcome Kato and Sora to the blog! I think I’ve only mentioned them once before so here’s a proper introduction!
Kato and Sora are the firstborn twins of Eclipse and Aerrow. They came as bit of a surprise ouo but the team was more than happy to help.
Kato is the orange one and exhibits more Egyptian vampire traits with his long legs and fetlocks.
Sora is the white one and exhibits Siberian vampire traits with her white fur and fluffy strong build.
I could honestly Info dump about them more but I don’t want to make a giant post, so these will come in batches.
Eclipse and Aerrow are very proud 😌

Little comic for you guys.
Once they found out Aerrow had fire powers, Eclipse suggested they see what else he could do. Turns out he can breathe fire, but it’s not as fun as it looks.
Practice makes perfect though! ;b
