Muffet - Snowdin tea and bakery owner. Close relationship with Skeles. Puts cayenne pepper in many versions foods - spicy sweets. Has a few (like 3) setup for spider checkers - a checkers game with an otcoganol board. Waffle-coffee house. Speciality is spider Waffles, Soft Boiled spider Eggs, and Spider coffee

Muffet is a very hairy spider/rancho with scales/hairs all over body like the fluff of a moth. Helps with insulation. Smaller spider monsters are primarily covered in fluff for extra insulation with only tips of legs visible. Spiders wear little uniforms - usually hats/ribbons/tassels

Diner is covered in trap magic - one of many reasons no one causes a lot of trouble - snowdin in general assumed to be covered

Unlike skelebros Muffet can completely hide her trap magic unless someone is looking for it. Or at the very least her anchors are extremely small/needs less.

Smaller spiders may also use trap magic -> mainly just related to their physical silk.

Silk is heavily used in wardrobe and general materials.

Muffet must be seated the majority of the time the diner is open due to outgrowing the building. She doesn’t need to move much to reach every corner of the diner.

Double doors allow Muffet to leave through front if needed but she prefers to use the basement exit that leads to an enlarged basement - big enough for her to move properly, with a separate door out the back of the diner.

Muffet does not often actually leave and the back door is usually locked tight and hidden behind trash and webs. Since she has space to move in her home below she doesn’t see a lot of reason to leave.

Enjoys cooking and making sweet confections with her kin. Finds Sans and Papyrus cute - seen Papyrus grow up. A little older than Sans.

Spider eggs served to help keep populations acceptable. Boiled in a dust bath -> turning the interior monster into a weird edible savory jelly-like creature that is excited to be eaten. They feel no pain and usually find weird entertainment from being eaten in pieces. Not offended if eaten head first.

Diner spiders may actually be at LV 2 -> spiders have their own leveling customs. Basement spiders LV 1 - part of why Muffet and Diner Spiders are partial to Paps and Sans

While being a diner doesn’t actually care how long anyone is there. Closes late opens early -> most of Muffets time is dedicated to business with closing hours uses for rest, self care, and baking for the next day.

Probably has early days and maybe takes a “Websday” off once a month or so. !!she would be big enough and strong enough to easily go to Hotland or the capital if she wanted fancier supplies. !! <- gives part of reason for being so dedicated to the diner. Maybe gets special stuff for her kin/herself. Also cares about residents of Snowdin in her own way.

Like the idea of some of the bigger spiders acting rough and having little spiked bats to emphasize her kind of hard-punk/street gang aesthetic

Alphys - captain of the guard, watches over Waterfall but mostly has attention elsewhere ruling by name alone. Has Stone generally look after it. Originally from Hotland, met Undyne while stationed in Waterfall. Ascends (playing with words dunno if like that) in genocide route. Maybe something Al or Alph <- not a lot of options even with Alf.

Absolute Alphys? Alphys Ascendant

Her gameplay is similiar to Undynes except instead of blocking the player has to shoot her attacks like a game of asteroids.

Undyne - Royal scientist spicy fish yandere-like/light. Drinks beer enjoys super violent manga. Mew Mew -> Bork Bork

Jewel has a rough relationship with Undyne. Initially they were friends but after Undyne met Alphys she started to gain more level. It once got away from her and Jewel had to shortcut away from her as she was undeterred by Sans protection due to her own relationship with Alphys. She moved to Hotland not long after; secretly regretting her actions and not trusting herself in Waterfall any longer.

Napstablook -> Retraton - RTT // Retraton Para -> translates into shared HP forcing use of consumables along with cursor that copy’s players movements // maybe Retrabot to play off being an automaton vs mettaton being robot // Retrabot Para

Retraton held in place/ can’t move legs. Instead commands show through others monsters/puppets/effects. Usually broadcasts tragedies. (stone in turn loves tragedies lmao)

Has Rounded mascot form - form that is held in place. Para is transformation - still held but with extending arms.

Retraton Para - has extra arms.

Previously Napstablook -> taken to Undyne when Alphys found her missing her home; neighbor of Undyne. Forced into robot when he kept trying to return home.

Songs are very sad and yearning. TV shows are A Lot but also uses a lot of effects because it’s not like there’s infinite monsters.

May not actively star is show frequently but instead use puppets || marionette puppets his cast and narrates -> sometimes puppets are real monsters Retraton has some sort of relationship with surrounding monsters hinting at his Para form.

Para - kills Undyne before protag can activating Para form. Para uses Undynes soul. Might kill surrounding monsters / connected monsters as well.

Retraton - no use of legs - part of why puppets. Maybe needs to remain charged or frequently and feels more comfortable plugged in.

Arms > legs.

Box Form -> literally just a box with arms - no wheel. Has to drag himself or walk with his arms. Maybe has a hover butt? Or a skateboard. Or has lots of little legs. Roomba.

Mettaton(MTT)- Hapstablook

Instead of lie on the floor feeling like garbage they sit on the roof and consider love.

Gaster and Riverperson -

Stay in their respective posts however Gaster speaks in song and the Riverperson speaks in hands

Riverperson - gondola (gondoga) dog theme, speaks in hands, gondola above river because river water is too dangerous

Grillby - fire sale; father of fireflies literally flames with wings. Has a pet Fryfly - long fry-like fly. Instead of forcing player onto strings covers the field with hazards and fire. Have to switch and jump over between flames.

Pacified by firesauce (increases damage, possible burn damage, take one damage for spice) or Frenchfire (a firefly with an exploding baguette - covering the board around you in fire for one turn and burning any incoming attacks) or the purchase of either from his Hotland firesale.

Prices may be inverted to some extent -> Hotland Prices are cheaper but u need both items to pacify him. Ruins are achievable but ridiculously expensive. Only need one to immediately pacify him. Differentiated by name is Hotland Firesauce vs Old/Ruin Firesauce

I’m just giving my opinion on how I think you act if you are one of these kinnies. So, don’t take everything really personally, this is all my opinion and thoughts. I will take recommendations, if they’re sent.

Fell Sans-

You have a pretty hot temper, and tend to act like an 8 year old at the word “no”. Every discord meme of those guys shouting and breaking their keyboards is a perfect description of you the second the headphones are on. You know the minute an 18+ video game is released. I think you enjoy hanging out in trees. Just, for no reason. You only enjoy the snow because you’re the first one to declare a snowball fight. That one kid in elementary school that was at the principal’s office daily.

Dream Sans-

Tiny ray of sunshine. Had the kid core aesthetic till 16, or still do, either way. You need more mental help then anyone you know, but don’t want to admit it. You go out of your way, way too much for other people. Loud noises are intimidating. You are more introverted then first thought from anyone you know or meet. Would make flower crowns all day if you could. Likely straight, trans, bi, or pan. If not, that’s okay, you’re just even more supportive. You wanted pets for the longest time, since those 17 fish didn’t do it for you.

Dust Sans-

You wear hoodie, everyday. No excuse. Must cover, all body. You like looking like it’s -55 degrees outside, and take one or two accessories off in the summer. Baggy clothes, are life. Tights? Jeans? Tube tops? Never heard of those. In every friend group, and I mean everyone, you are the one that’s there just to be there. You don’t get into fights, or keep up the conversation, just there. And people remember you the most, for some reason. You likely have OCD, or completely don’t. No in between. You either get irate when a pot is in the wrong spot, or can never find your phone charger, and live in a room that could be described as a landfill.

Fresh Sans-

You played FNAF SB, just for the experience of the neon and music. You also really like the DJ music man. Basically lives in the internet, because people think you’re funny that way. Again, kid core for the longest time. Insane amounts of bubblegum. On the road? Gum. In school? Gum. At home? Gum. Kidnapped and being held hostage? Gum. You were immensely interested in sports from the ages of 4-7, but eventually gave up because funny haha memes. Made an oath to yourself that you wouldn’t swear till you’re 18, or have every cuss word in your vocabulary. Again, no in between. You love soda and soft drinks. You like to hold it in your mouth till the sides of your face feel tingly.

okay so these!! aren't as fleshed out as riley and kiara they're kind of just silly little guys mostly.

libby, 17, is one of kiara's friends, alongside trinity and kat (collectively known as the cool bitch club). libby is very like… calm and chill most of the time she's just vibing mostly. the kind of guy you'd see in a group chat. absolutely hates that she was named liberty eagle lawson that's right her middle name is eagle she's living a nightmare. she was literally born on the 4th of july the universe just said "hey fuck you. get america'd" and she hasn't lived it down yet. anyways the group of friends i roleplay with that i use her in jokes that she would kin sans and tbh…. probably right. she's usually pretty calm but if anyone hurt her brother she'd kick their ass

justice, 10, is just a silly little guy!! just a little silly! he's one of riley's best friends and he looks up to her even though she's only 2 years older than him. he's really silly goofy, very optimistic, tries to see the best in everyone, and overall he just wants to help people whenever he can!! he's like a blorbo to me.

they're actually half siblings! they share a dad. their dad used to be… not distant, and not away on purpose, but during his first marriage, when he had libby, he would bite off more than he can chew and end up promising things that he couldn't deliver, fully thinking he would be able to. it's what led to his divorce. since then, though, he's worked on bettering himself and is a much better father to justice than he was to libby when she was younger. she's not entirely unaffected by this but she can at least appreciate that he's improving.

they also! have a cousin, who's a lawyer. a defense attorney. and justice especially really looks up to him because he also wants to be able to stand up for people and defend people in need like that and justice i think really just wants, at his core, to help people who need help, like one of his main interests is superheroes because that's their whole thing really.

justice has a really cool racecar bed

libby helped justice try to paint his racecar bed and it didn't go very well but they both have fond memories of it

libby and kiara honestly probably met through justice and riley

libby is really into activism. in a sense both siblings have a strong sense of justice and aim to help those who need it

i mentioned earlier that they had a lawyer cousin but i didn't mention said cousin is phoenix wright of ace attorney fame

libby actually convinced her high school to unionize. her logic is that teachers are evaluated on the grades their classes get- so if a teacher is being unfair or necessarily harsh, the students can go on strike by refusing to do any assignments, forcing the teacher to fail ALL of their students and then get poor evaluations and probably fired. it's been surprisingly effective and she's very proud of the student union

libby is the kind of person who says "stealing from walmart is always morally correct"

justice hasn't been exposed to the nuances of stealing so he doesn't agree but i think once he's been exposed to how companies kind of fuck people over he probably will stop seeing an issue with, like, shoplifting a bottle of water from walmart

libby is a lesbian

justice hasn't had time to fully realize his gender yet but when he gets older he'll realize he's genderfluid i think :3

Info:

Dust is the Vessel of the Holy for the Path of Righteousness, a cult/religion. This necessitates that he be excised of all sin and made ready for possession by the Holy- via torture. Also he’s trans and has taken to reciting the Bible-equivalent as a coping mechanism.

May-Salvation-Come-to-this-Wretched-Thing (goes by May, named by the Righteous) is a were-Tasmanian Devil, taken in by the same church. She, too, must be exorcised.

She’s about four years older than him, and they were thrown in the same basement. She became his primary caretaker, and they basically adopted each other. She fervently hates the Righteous, but is determined to protect him at all costs.

When May was about fourteen, the ‘exorcisms’ went too far, the Tasmanian Devil took over, and May died. She then possessed Dust as a ghost and promptly broke them out.

Dust doesn’t remember how he got out, or how May died, and May doesn’t want to tell him. May thinks he should hate her, she hates herself for everything, but can’t bear to lose him.

Dear Twilight

Regarding your recent question about how long it took to realize we were ‘kin, for us it took a few years.

We got into Undertale and the AUs back around 2018/2019 if we remember correctly, and we had always had a strong connection to a certain few AU characters: Nightmare Sans, Gaster Blaster Sans, and kinda Lust Sans. We didn’t think anything of it at the time since we were young , and just thought it was us really liking the characters.

Constantly imagining ourself with Nightmare and GB’s abilities, being part of Nightmare’s gang, and our somewhat strong attraction to Dust Sans despite us never experiencing any sort of attraction before, if we were older then, probably would have clued us in on something else going on.

These connections lingered for years, even as our hyperfixation on Undertale came and went. It wasn’t until June 12, 2021 that we realized we were ‘kin, and we kinfirmed Nightmare that October at a volleyball game of all places (we were a benchwarmer and had plenty of time to think lol). GB was later that year, and Lust was last month.

there doesn't appear to be anything on the horizon, nothing but white in this expanse where shisui waits. ( waits? that seems a strange thought, but he gets the inclination - no, he's sure he's waiting here. for something or someone to meet him ). time is meaningless, and the boy feels no urgency as things occur to him slowly. out of order. like he's putting together a puzzle, clearing the dust from a scattered mind.

shisui can see and this is odd, as the image of losing his eyes sits at the front of his mind. if he strains, he can recall other recent memories, bloodied and dark and water-logged as they are. he remembers what it felt like to fall into nakano river, to kick, out of instinct, against the raging current. he does not, however, remember ever reaching the shore. ah. so this is what comes after.

he gets the feeling something shifts when he comes to that realization, and time, elsewhere, where it still matters, lurches forward. and suddenly, shisui is no longer alone.

madara's is a figure he's only ever seen in portraits, but shisui recognizes him instantly. legend and kin, his own grandfather, no less. he balks for a moment before he remembers his manners and bows. he has heard so much about the man who stands before him now ( and much of it from his clansmen who didn't care to conceal their reproach, even in the presence of madara's direct descendants ), but all shisui can think is how human he looks. madara cuts an imposing figure, sure, but he stands about as tall as any other relative of his. not a myth, but a man. an uchiha, like him.

"madara-san, it's an honour to meet you." he rights himself, fumbles a little for his next words. these are unusual circumstances under which to give an introduction, but he will manage. "I am your grandson, shisui. I'm sincerely sorry I failed my mission. I was supposed to keep the clan safe and maintain our standing in the village. I hope you can forgive me." shisui ducks his head, eyes averted. shame creeps up his throat and settles, hot and uncomfortable, on his cheeks. he isn't used to this. failure.

it does not occur to shisui that his first words to his grandfather are that of a mission report, rote on his tongue, more natural than breathing. it does not occur to him that this is a strange inclination for a child who has just realized he is dead.

Crap.

I might have 2 different canons/timelines as Nightmare Sans??? One where I was corrupted (the one I’ve known/talked about) and one where I wasn’t corrupted and was possibly in a relationship with Ink??

I saw some ship art of pre-corruption me and Ink, and it made me feel the same way I do with stuff of my other ‘kin partners; Dust and Blue (which are also from being Nightmare). I’ve had a connection to Ink for months and thought he was a hearttype or kintype, but since seeing that art a few days ago I’ve been thinking/daydreaming about doing romantic stuff with Ink almost non-stop (today I couldn’t get the idea of a date with him in Outertale out of my head-)

Either I have 2 separate canons, or my life pre-corruption was a lot different than I thought. I doubt it’s all in the same canon though since I remember being 8 when I ate the apple and became corrupted, and having a serious relationship with Ink when I was that young isn’t really feasible.

Ugh, ‘kin memories are so confusing. Anyone else with multiple canons for the same kintype have any tips?
