When you feel like you kin Frisk from Undertale because of a dream you had

I've been doing a lot of thinking...and I feel like I need to scream this out somehow even though I'm sure it's been talked about before (and I'm putting it under a readmore because it gets long).
No matter what, in any playthrough you do and any timeline you create.
UNDERTALE is a game about guilt.
You have Toriel, so guiltridden she couldn't protect her own children that she devotes herself to never letting another child leave again. And then they do!! over and over again, that guilt compounds until it's the center of her life and every choice she makes!!
And obviously Asgore, so guiltridden that he couldn't protect his own children from humans that he spends the rest of his days trying to get out and get revenge on them--as if that will stop the voices in his head saying, if you had been out there with them you could have stopped it, you could have stopped those humans from killing your children, and maybe he could have!! Or maybe not!! He'll never know and it eats him from the inside out!
Alphys, oh my sweet summer child this fandom does not deserve you!! Alphys, so guiltridden from her own perceived failures as a scientist that she began to try anything, anything to make the King happy, and it seemed to be working at first, and then it was so everlastingly worse, how can you cause something worse than death?? without even trying??
And it shows up in little ways, silly ways, too! Ways you wouldn't even think about as guilt! Undyne! She feels guilty that she won't let Papyrus join the Royal Guard so she gives him cooking lessons instead! Papyrus feels guilty that he's not in love with you after one date so he'll "keep being your cool friend and act like this never happened!"
SANS MY BOI don't even get me started. His guilt isn't as physically obvious but he made a promise to toriel, he promised her he would keep the human safe, and in timelines where you save everyone he follows you pretty much all throughout the Underground (even if he doesn't do anything to help smh) because he'd feel guilty not doing it, and in timelines where you kill everyone he feels guilty for not stopping you, AND in those SAME timelines he feels guilty for stopping you because it means he's breaking his promise to Toriel to keep you safe I!!! This boy can fit so much cosmic guilt in him!!!!
Asriel! FLOWEY!! Do you ever wonder if he feels guilty about being the one to wake up again? The one to survive, when Chara had to die twice?? He sits at their grave and he will do anything, anything to drown out those thoughts so he befriends and kills and torments and it's all the same and it's all useless!!
And their guilt compounds each others'! Toriel makes Sans make that promise because of her own guilt, which increases his! Asgore's guilt is what pushes Alphys so far past the limits of ethical science, because he increases hers!
And all of this, all of this, ALL OF THIS pales in comparison to you!!!
You!! The player! You return to the Underground after maybe accidentally killing Toriel or a few others because you didn't know, you never wanted to hurt them!! You listen to Flowey and you come back and you save them all!
You! The player!!! You cry at the ending and you'd feel guilty, so guilty about letting them all go, wouldn't you? So you ignore Flowey's pleas to let it alone, and you come back again, you say hello to your dear friends but this time it isn't the same, this time you kill them all because you want to see everything this game has to offer, might as well get your money's worth, the fights are cool, right?? And then you get hit with the most unsatisfying atomic bomb of an ending and the only thing left is your own reflection staring back at you from the black screen of your computer as the horror dawns, what have you done???
YOU!!! The player! You go back again even though there is no Flowey left to tell you to, and you save them all again because I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry, nobody deserves what I did to all of you, and it's all good, nobody remembers, and then you get to the end. The game knows what you did!!! It never forgot, and it'll make certain you never forget either!! Guilt!! Guilt, guilt!!! It's baked into the code of this game!!
Anyways tl;dr, maybe it actually did make sense to give this game to the pope

Yknow, despite how it is impossible by all Ingame options, I wonder how a neutral route with *ONLY* Sans (and Asgore ig) killed would look? Would he count enough as a boss monster (NOT a Boss Monster) to push it from a Queen Toriel ending to an Empress Undyne ending? How would Alphys react (She lost one of her closest friends, but she still has MTT and Undyne around.)? How would Papyrus react (Would he go full angst mode and try close away his heart? Would he become even more of a people pleaser, trying to make sure he doesn't repeat whatever mistake he made with you again? Would he go into denial mode, trying to find Flowey to set things right with him either finding him or not based on what Frisk choses after the FloweyX fight? So many choises), especially with how he seems to Know Something he doesn't let on. I'd imagine that (provided it's a Queen Toriel Ending) Undyne wouldn't be thar affected, sad that Papyrus lost a brother rather than sad that Sans died (she never is close with Sans. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't know him as more than "Papyrus weird brother" and "My sentry that works the ABSOLUTE bare minimum needed"). I don't think mettaton would appear or be affected, leaving the call pretty limited. So we have Papyrus and Maybe Undyne, with Papyrus probably being... kinda miffed that everything is going along the same, as if Everything hasn't changed. Bonus points if it's Post Dates, leaving a pretty aimless Undyne moving into Sans room, trying to fill a void that she never can. It isn't some threat she can suplex or teach to cook, it's the world being unfair.
(This also would give a pretty Unique Undyne state, being halfway between her "I don't like that you had to kill Asgore, but it's what you had to do" mindset and her more common "You betrayed me in such a soul crushing way it'll affect how I love forever" mindset in most Neutral Endings. I can imagine her actually trying to rationalise it, because the human only killed Asgore (sucks but she Gets It), and... Sans. The easiest enemy, one too weak to make it into the guard, and almost too weak to be a Sentry (Sans would have no reason to reveal Blasters, and his magic would barely scratch the TRUE HERO of the Underground when Karma is factored in. All she would see is surprisingly complex patterns that don't deal even a tenth of her hp). So surely, they had a reason, right? Why else would they do it?)
Forgive any bad writing it's literally 2 AM rn where I am
can't not confess I've thought about it too, but it IS really hard to extend as a concept because there's just... really no way for sans to die outside of the NM run. and I don't mean logistically, i mean character-wise he is so defined by his survival. by his Being There as everything falls apart. the final girl last man standing in the story. so the whole concept immediately falls apart.
undyne wouldn't personally grieve him, seeing as they didn't really know each other, but she WOULD still feel his death on her conscience as she does with every other monster killed in neutral runs. plus, there's her friendship with papyrus to emotionally aggravate things.
papyrus would definitely go into denial. he would be annoyed about him vanishing all of a sudden, then it'd turn to worry, then as his worries become more and more plausible, he'd shut out all rational thought about the subject and pretend everything is alright. i like the idea of him reaching out to flowey, but he'd try to explain his plan while also comtradicting himself all the time in order to never say outloud "sans is dead. we need to fix this"
betrayed undyne... yeah this is where it falls apart again, since you'd have to reason why sans would die (or even instigate a fight at all) in the final corridor during what has so far been a flawless pacifist run.
buuut pushing past the visceral resistance to the concept. i can easily see a scene where the betrayal pushes her to lose it and seek revenge like it does in normal neutral runs, and her looking to papyrus for training help/human destroying plans. and just... meeting a Wall of denial. that would be a harrowing talk. something people don't mention enough is that papyrus sees himself as sans' caretaker as much if not even more than sans does towards him. a world where sans is dead is a world where he failed his brother. it would devastate him. so he clings to anything not to think about it/delude himself. and here comes undyne ready to shatter that fragile hope. it would be a horrible moment between them
but yeah. everything aside, sans would straight up just not die lol.

Okay, so my two DustFell-related questions are:
1. Have you ever come up with any concepts or lore for DustFell beyond the original post? Because if you did, I would love to hear about it.
2. Do you have any plans to work on DustFell any further, or do you consider it fine the way it is?
I have, actually. From the moment all this au-ownership fuss started I thought that this au combination can have a chance. Since then I have this. Main plot and difference (from dt au) is that Sans failed at finishing his murdery job. He got caught. But the human meets him without being immobilised.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sans’s scientific experience and monster history knowledge formed his bad opinion about powerful humans.
Sans isn’t aware of resets but he sees the events from previous timelines as blurry and half-abstract exaggerated nightmares. There he can see that human does harm to lesser monsters (in fact they can’t kill main monsters). Therapy barely works.
He refuses to give Toriel that crucial promise. Instead, first few timelines he spends on attempts to capture/kill the human. But the kid returns after their every misfortune.
Sans, obsessed with idea of stopping the human, decides to act less reasonable and kills some of lesser monsters (to gain some lv and to leave less enemies to the kid).
He gets carried away and more and more crazy in his killing “spree”. Until the royal guard imprisons him.
Papyrus isn’t dead, he just refuses to talk to Sans because 1) Sans put them both in danger now (the king = danger); 2) Sans now resembles the Kind even more; 3) Sans isn’t sane anymore. Papyrus-shaped illusion scolds Sans for every possible thing his mind can think about. He talks to the illusion but the conversation sounds meaningless.
Sans can escape but he can’t live long in freedom — he gets caught and brings his execution closer. Overall his attempts to stop the human are never effective. Unless he can bring boredom to a human by making the “game” much harder and less fun so the other would just stop. Or start more merciful route.
Human’s journey is sneaky and by the time they arrive to the Hotland, evacuation starts. Flowey set most of prisoners free. Unfortunately he also freed Sans, so he’s now the final boss. If Frisk survives the stage of the fight, there’s a chance for Flowey to bring Frisk through the barrier (Frisk uses “flee option”). This moment of chance repeats once a few turns.
There are grey zones but something like that. None of it was in my head when I drew that first drawing of df. Also I didn’t want to make Sans so powerful he managed to put the whole underground into the grave. So he has a little bit more adventures.
2. I’m not sure. That would be cool of course, but I don’t have so much strength unfortunately. And I am not able to focus on one project till it’s done, so. As I said many times before, other people free to come up with their ideas/concepts/designs as I didn’t invent the au, I only happen to draw a combination of two. Anybody is free to use that I described here, if it’s interesting or helpful enough.
(Of course it’s forbidden to use/edit/still/repost my drawings. I had some older sketches of the same things but they were worse.)

if flowey didn’t kill anyone in any resets and therefore didn’t fight with sans nor had any conflict with him, would they get along like how flowey gets along with papyrus ?
I think they could, but it's not as simple as Flowey simply not having done anything evil...
Because even if you don't take Sans' "you'd be dead where you stand" threat seriously, after a few neutral runs Flowey will warn you not to tell Sans anything about you. This implies that if not for his promise to Toriel, Sans really might have followed through on that threat after all.
This is because, presumably, Sans' reports about the timeline exist regardless of whether you go through a murder run. those tell him that a being with the power to control time will destroy the world. The only solution he can see to this is to try to destroy it first--kill, or be killed. So when Flowey shows up, and reveals he has the power to reset, well, he's a threat regardless of his actions. As far as Sans can tell, this is the creature that will end everything eventually.
I think it's toriel's promise that makes Sans rethink this very grim, pessimistic outlook on the possibilities, and that's what I went with in Unexpected Guests. Sans isn't inherently eager to kill or fight, but he'd trapped himself into thinking it was the only option. Talking to toriel, listening to and getting to know her, got him thinking and ultimately gave him an out. He's still pessimistic about the chances of the timeline coming to an end--but he's willing to give Frisk a chance to prove that pessimism wrong, and really, he'd much rather make friends.
With all that in mind! When Flowey controlled the timeline, as long as he didn't tell Sans about his power to reset, they could be friends--Flowey himself says he befriended everyone in canon. I bet they pulled all kinds of pranks on people, and at times when they felt more contemplative, Flowey might ask Sans questions about time travel or philosophy and such. I don't think it'd be quite like Flowey's friendship with Papyrus because the brothers are different people, and I do think flowey would get as annoyed with sans' puns as papyrus does XD but, they could almost certainly find some common ground and not by just standing on the same patch of dirt
But Sans would have reason to be wary of Flowey no matter how nice he'd been so far... <:/
At least, that's what I think is going on ^^;

Howdy! ;P
If you got that reference, good for you! I'm starting an Undertale comic based on my initial interpretation of the story and characters, and it also ties into my TWOF AU. Obviously, being part of an AU, it has some deviations from the canon, which I'll list here along with the characters:
Tumblr media
First, there's Frisk and Chara. The reason I made both of them girls is because way back when I was first starting to roam the Internet and came across Undertale, I watched a dub of the Deeper Down comic, and in that comic, Frisk was addressed as female, and that's been my headcanon ever since. As for Chara, her name just sounded female to me. Also, Frisk is the reincarnation of Chara, which is why they share a Soul trait. Chara was about 15 when she died and Frisk is 12 when she travels through the Underground, so Chara is three inches taller than Frisk.
Tumblr media
Flowey, in this AU, is actually a good guy (but still retains some of his sass and snarkiness from the original) and accompanies Frisk through her journey. Despite carrying some of Asriel's essence, he doesn't remember anything from Asriel's life or why he was born as a flower. This is because when Asriel collapsed and turned into dust, it was his chest portion that fell onto the flower that would become Flowey instead of his head, which is what carried his memories and would've resulted in the Flowey we all know and love. That being said, Flowey and Asriel are completely separate entities in this AU. Flowey was about 20 years old by the time Frisk fell.
(Also, just to save my sanity, I'll be using a different Omega Flowey design. Maybe the one from @scaletale-au, since it's pretty much the only pretty Omega Flowey out there, and also the design is just so badass, I couldn't resist.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Asriel, here's the Dreemurr boy himself! When he died, he wandered the Underground in his adult form (the form he traveled to Chara's village with when their Souls were fused) as a shadow more than anything, which I'll post here in a minute. As he watched over his family and the monsters and saw Toriel taking care of the fallen humans, he became jealous and resentful, thinking that his mother was just replacing him as if she had forgotten him completely. This is how he became evil and corrupted, but all that is solved when Frisk reaches out to him and helps him remember his sister Chara, and the Hate is expelled from him, but he's still in his adult form (except his robe is purple instead of black and his eyes are green like normal and he has no face stripes).
I'm also thinking that when Asriel regains his physical form, he imprisons Asgore and claims the throne as King of the Underground, having his Hyper Goners hunt down Frisk and her friends while the other monsters hide in Home, the old city.
Tumblr media
Here's the goat parents, Toriel and Asgore! When she first met Frisk, Toriel felt as if she was looking at an old friend (Deja-Vu), and when Asgore met Frisk, he commented on how much she reminded him of Chara (remember the "same hope in your eyes" line?). The morning after Frisk and Asgore stopped fighting, Toriel at last made it to Frisk, and she and Asgore made up and got back together.
Tumblr media
Sans and Papyrus are relatively the same, only they have tongues and Sans wears sneakers instead of slippers, and Papyrus becomes a little more mature near the end (but not enough to spoil his excitable personality) as Asriel makes himself known to the Underground and asserts himself as a threat. Undyne also appoints Papyrus as a Royal Guard to help them rise up against Asriel. They're the sons of Gaster, and their mom Bree is alive and well (I have yet to make a design for her) and she lives in New Home.
Tumblr media
Undyne doesn't change very much, except she has a tail and arm fins because yes. She also turns into her Undying form to protect Frisk from Asriel. As for backstory, her parents were named Jainil and Adella, and they ran the Royal Guard before they died and she took their place (she was born after the Human-Monster War, not before).
Tumblr media
Alphys doesn't change much either, except I gave her pants. She assisted Gaster in conducting the Determination experiments, so the Amalgamates were not entirely her fault, although she was still the one who injected the flower with Determination and unintentionally brought Flowey to life.
Tumblr media
Mettaton doesn't change at all, he's still the same, except he changes into his NEO form to fight Asriel. Of course, he was a ghost like Napstablook, but then he became friends with Alphys and she gave him a robot body, and that's how he became a TV star.
Tumblr media
Finally, there's Gaster and Shadow!Asriel. Gaster doesn't change much, except that he appears a bit more often and guides Frisk and Flowey through the True Lab. As for Shadow!Asriel, it's just Asriel's corrupted ghost form and he haunts Frisk throughout her entire journey, and is the one to taunt her at the end of the Ruins instead of Flowey.
Here's the draft for the cover of The Final Fall!
Tumblr media
Here's the synopsis:
The Angel, the Fallen One, the One Who Has Seen the Surface...She will return...and the Underground will go empty.
This is the prophecy of Frisk, a human girl who many would call "too determined for her own good". After climbing Mount Ebott and falling into a world of monsters, Frisk makes several friends and even gains a talking flower as a little brother. Every time she falls asleep in this new world, she has odd dreams of people from the past; they're familiar, but not recognizable. They feel like family, but Frisk never knew them. But nothing can prepare her for the end of her journey...or the secret that will change her life forever.
Anyway, that's all for now, and I hope you guys like it! Let me know what you think about it!

In genocide route, after player/Frisk/Chara beating Sans, he says “Don’t say I didn’t warn you”. It’s believed that he knows about Chara’s intention to destroy the world and (sort of) warns Frisk/player about it. What do you think about this?
Sans is indeed aware that a timeline erasure is about to take place in the very near future.
In fact, that is the very reason he fights us in the first place, not just because of the killing we did.
Its possible to kill more people in a neutral route then on a genocide one and in those routes Sans will not fight us, same goes if we kill Papyrus for instance. Sans hates our guts, yet he will not fight.
Tumblr media
This is because Sans knows that eventually, it's all going to be RESET. These deaths are not permanent. They will be undone eventually and Sans knows this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If things are going to be RESET in the end, then instead of fighting us, the better option in case of mass murder is simply to either wait for a RESET or to try and get the anomaly to turn to a better path himself.
Either by trying to push the anomaly in the right direction.
Tumblr media
Or by guilt-tripping it into a RESET.
Tumblr media
He does this both because it means that those who died will be alive again in this next TI even if he won't be there to see it but also because Sans here still believes that the anomaly can be redeemed and change its ways.
Tumblr media
In those neutral routes, Sans is hoping those things will indeed happen after the eventual RESET. An idea that he gives up upon in genocide during the second phase.
However, in a genocide route, the situation is completely different.
He explains to us what this difference is early on in the fight.
Tumblr media
"Jumping left and right" corresponds to LOADING.
"Stopping and starting" corresponds to RESETING.
But here, what comes next is a brutal stop to all of the previous timeline shenanigans. Instead of the perpetual time loops from before, everything meets an abrupt end.
"Everything ends" corresponds to ERASE. The destruction of the world that is indeed specific to only genocide routes.
Unlike in neutral routes, things will NOT be RESET in the end in this route.
This means that this time, the consequences of the genocide will be permanent if things keep going the way they are.
This is the reason why Sans can't afford not to care this time. He needs to step in and make the anomaly RESET before it reaches the point where "everything ends" as otherwise, everything will be destroyed in a way that, as far as Sans knows, is completely irreversible.
Tumblr media
That is why he needs them to QUIT now before its too late. Before they eventually reach the point of no return.
Tumblr media
And so, if Sans is Sans is defeated. There is nothing left preventing the anomaly from causing the end of the world as Sans had warned them they would.
Tumblr media
What is worth mentioning too is that Sans' vision of the events isn't quite the full picture. As far as he knows, there was only ever one timespace anomaly and this anomaly is the one that somehow causes the world to end.
Sans doesn't know exactly how the world is destroyed either, but he knows that its about to happen from the fact that the reports showed the incoming end of all timelines.
He isn't aware of the difference between Frisk, Chara and the player. Neither does he know that most of the timeline shenanigans he pinned on Frisk were actually Flowey's fault.
To him, the PFC is just one single entity : "the anomaly". He assumed that the one SAVING and LOADING was the same person as the one that goes on the ERASE the world even if in actuality, the one who has the determination to SAVE, the one that decided to begin the genocide and the one that destroys the world actually are three different people.
Tumblr media
There is one more dimension to this : The "Bad time" line seems to have a double meaning. It seems to refer both to the fight against Sans itself and to the upcoming end of the world.
Even during the Sans fight, we are still "going" to have a bad time. This is very a clever way wording of it. The real bad time time is still upcoming, and its fast approaching.
Tumblr media
Since what comes next is the end of all timelines and that Sans believes Frisk to be the one and only anomaly. He assumes that the anomaly is about to cause its own destruction as well as it couldn't exist outside of time and space.
Thus, even after Sans is struck down, his warning about the anomaly having a bad time still stands.
Tumblr media
The anomaly chose to pursue a path that leads to the destruction of the world, and now its about to get exactly what it asked for.
Sans is warning the anomaly about itself. Not the player or Frisk about Chara.

Speaking of putting The Fuckers™️ in places they shouldn’t be. I’ve been thinking and developing for like since June on putting the core 4 into Undertale. GB, Mikey, and Nikey all wake up in the first patch of buttercups together, much to Mikey and Nikey’s dismay. But Fuse is nowhere to be seen. Hmmmmmm. They begin to venture through the underground, Toriel being very surprised to find three adults instead of the usual one child. She’s a little standoffish towards them at first but warms up a little to their company. She doesn’t feel the need to guide them through the ruins obviously, since they’re, yknow, adults. This does lead to Mikey and GB almost being impaled through the feet. Nikey stopped them before they could though.
Oh yeah, about their “route”. It’s pacifist obviously, but Nikey at first had to be held back from killing a few (a lot) of monsters just for being “in my way.”.
They exit the ruins and meet sans who is just his usual self, a little bit thrown off by there being, again, three adult men instead of the usual child. Sans is just like. “Timeline fuckery? Maybe.” (Maybe) but they continue with their walk through the forest, eventually meeting Papyrus. Which is just like. Instant besties with everyone except Nikey.
Nikey takes note of his more quote unquote “naive” nature (just according to his observations. He’s just making assumptions.) and attempts to form sort of the same relationship/a relationship akin to Papyrus’ relationship with Flowey, but sans has a little “friendly chat” with him, which leads him to begrudgingly lay his hands off of Papyrus.
(GB and Mikey end up going on the date with Papyrus, but Nikey stays behind them to explore and try to gain any information he can on where he is and how he got there. He ends up getting the wrong number song call and sees a strange figure in the corner of his eye. But when he looks at it directly to see what it is, it’s gone.)
They continue past Snowdin into Waterfall and “meet” Undyne as she tries to hunt them down. She fails, as all three of them are quite experienced in battle and dodging attacks and such. Especially GB.
They end up stopping by Temmie Village, which Nikey promptly has to pry the other two away because they refuse to leave. “The Temmie’s are adorable though! You just don’t know how to have fun.” “Maybe. But what I do know is that you idiots will let us all starve here rather than leave your… weird dogs behind and get on with trying to find a way out of here.”
Nikey ends up taking the reigns on the fight with Undyne, which keeps getting interrupted because GB and Mikey won’t stop running away, which Undyne will NOT let happen, and so she keeps chasing after them until they’re all in battle with her, and then GB and Mikey run away again which Nikey is VERY annoyed by because he want to FIGHT HER GODDAMMIT.
Nikey ends up running after her every time she tries to catch the other two, so he’s behind her when she collapses out from heat exhaustion. GB ends up being the one to pour the water on her because Mikey will not drop his whole “I hate Magma and Aqua” shtick. SPEAKING OF WHICH. This bitch HATES Hotland!!!! He refuses to take off his jacket even when he’s literally about to pass out so GB has to convince him to take it off. It takes like an entire hour. Nikey however willingly does so, draping his coat over his shoulders (see Commander Kamado).
Anyways I’m getting off track. Kind of. ???
They all end up going on the date with Undyne, which Nikey takes the reins on once again, Undyne and him constantly bouncing off of eachother in terms of quips and just general shenanigans.
Nikey ends up softening up a little after befriending Undyne, which the other two don’t hesitate to playfully poke fun at him for. Nikey is frustrated with this and threatens to throw them into Hotlands lava ocean if they don’t be quiet.
When they get to the lab, they see someone familiar emerge from the True Lab with Alphys. Fuse. Interesting. They dont really have time to get Fuse to explain himself to them, as Mettaton is now set off and on their trail. Which. BY THE WAY. GB and Mikey absolutely ADORE. Nikey’s a fan of his antics as well but is very annoyed he keeps interrupting their journey as they try to escape.
Anyways, when Mettaton EX is revealed and that entire battle starts, Mikey takes literally all the reins on it and is just KILLING IT. Literally makes the ratings multiply by 5 by just being there and fucking slaying. Mikey ends up being sad that the battle has to end due to Mettaton, well, yknow, and is very concerned for his robot friend. Alphys reassures him it’s okay and Mettaton can be fixed… maybe. Which is good enough for him
Right after this is right about the time they end up receiving the phone call from Undyne asking them to deliver her confession letter to Alphys. Which they do, and the date is very cute :)
Of course the good feelings don’t last for long in their case, as it comes time for them to venture into Alphys’ true lab. Which surprise surprise! Fuse is there :)
Turns out, he’d been manipulating Alphys to his advantage, so that she would let him experiment on the amalgams for himself. The experiments weren’t just limited to fusions though, oh no, they got much worse. There were a few times Fuse almost got Alphys backed into a corner to let him try to fuse her with another monster just to see if it would work, but she always seemed to escape by the skin of her teeth.
Anyways. Shit happens in the lab. Fuse tries to kill everyone except for him, but he ends up being restrained and stopped before he can execute his plans. GB, Mikey, and Nikey take Fuse off of Alphys’ hands and apologise like a million times for his actions. Alphys insists it’s fine but… yeah no it’s not fine. Girlie needs therapy more than ever.
They end up having to tie Fuse up with a rope and drag him along that way. They also have to put rope around his mouth because he will not. Stop. Saying the weirdest and most creepy shit in the world.
They venture through the core, where Fuse tries to kick all of them into the cores void pit like five times before he gives up. Oughhhhh I’m losing steam >:(
The entire fight with Asriel plays out, and Asriel takes form as his child-self.
Turns out, fuse has been slowly chipping away at the ropes binding him the entire time he was in them. He breaks free.
Fuse ends up attacking Asriel when he’s in his child form, and taking all of the souls, absorbing them into his body. Unfortunately for literally everyone else, this turns him into a god. I’m not sure how the fight for the souls would play out, but just know that they fuck up Fuse’s shit and nearly kill him. Yay!
A few minutes after the barrier is broken, they end up being sent back home, to which everyone is like “Was that a dream I swear it wasn’t. GB and Mikey end up getting on FaceTime and being like “DUDE DO YOU REMEMBER-“ and the other’s like “YEAH HOLY SHIT.”
Nikey waits a few days to confirm it with the other two because he’s not sure if it happened or not, and it’s be rather embarrassing if he just walked up to Mikey like they were acquaintances if literally that entire ordeal didn’t really happen. Luckily for him, it did. This ends up in Mikey and Nikey being on… okay terms for the most part.
Fuse however is just like :)
God I want to incorporate Gaster into this more but immmmmm tired oshaondisjdkssjkssjskn

I wanna know what Crimson's first run of Undertale was like! How did they react to stuff like flowey and stuff like that!
well they first did a failed pacifist run (after resetting from accidentally killing goat mom CUZ SHE TOLD THEM TO PROVE THEMSELVES IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT!)
then uhhhh flowey remembered and they FLIPPED out.
it was certainly an experience lol. it felt scary. it felt wonderous. it felt MAGICAL.
they were enamored by this little world and the monsters.
they tried their best to save them.
after a few failed attempts they finally broke the barrier. they were SO GIDDY! they couldn't wait to watch all of the monsters thrive on the surface and live there with...
them
...
but nobody came.
it was just them and pitch black darkness... and a choice to linger or leave.
"the end"
no. this COULDN'T be the end could it? what about Asriel? what about papyrus? what will frisk do?
"nononono don't leave me here... come back... COME BACK! "
they screamed into the darkness... the words of "the end" taunting them.
they felt cheated. they felt ANGRY.
this couldn't be the end. so they reset.
that's where the loop started. pacifist after pacifist run attempting to somehow bypass the barrier.
some neutral runs to maybe look for alternative solutions...
then... they wondered if they were MISSING something. so the genocide route was the last piece of the puzzle for them to check off.
there HAD to be an answer. it's not like anyone besides flowey would remember. and flowey seemed to approve! he got it! he understood.
seeing the people they came to cherish scream in pain? it broke their heart.
but a faint sense of fascination and morbid curiousity began to rise ...
seeing undyne fight them back with EVERYTHING she had... such bravery and selfless heroic acts. her determination... her battle and fighting spirit.
the vengeful glare of dogaressa as they killed her partner.
the dazzling lights how of mettatons neo form.
last but not least... the terrifying expectation shattering of sans himself as he duncked them so many times.
they got to see a COMPLETELY different side of these people.
it made them feel closer to them. like they got to know them on a deeper "level".
at the end of it all Chara took away their soul and erased the game...
it was always the same. they'd always be denied of their closure.
"then why bother giving them an ending at all?"
if the world wouldn't give it to them? they'd TAKE IT BY FORCE.
"you think you're above the consequences? "
"I am"

Vanilla Serrif
Woah it's time baby. Ooo mama here we go, I gotta post my personal headcanons for Sans Undertale from the hit game Undertale by Toby Fox
Vanilla Serrif:
- Official height is 5'4
- He/Him
- Pansexual (more like PUNsexual)
- Nihilist
- Drinks Ketchup
- Diligent, empathetic, intuitive, pessimistic, patient, trustworthy, loyal, observant, cynical, charismatic, overthinker, reflective, reassuring, kind, and playful
- Loves horrible puns and pranks
- Hates making promises since he takes them seriously
- Had a good relationship with Gaster before he fell
- The only one to remember Gaster
- Sometimes has memories in the form of dreams
- Has a willing acceptance of things that happen, even if it's wack
- Will avoid fights. However, he will fight if necessary
- Prefers dogs over cats, but loves any animal
- Does not curse often, and usually prefers not to
- Magic smells of pine and frost, magic tastes like vanilla
- Likes handshakes and fist bumps
- Calls Frisk "Kid/Kiddo"
- Goes ragdoll if picked up
- He cries to himself very quietly, but he sniffles a lot and has a tendency to hide away as well
- Would call his lover "Starlight"
- Will be petty if told what to do by someone he dislikes, more than happy to do everything wrong
- Loved to mess with Undyne before she befriended Papyrus, but as time went along he didn't do it to out of actually trying to provoke her. Nowadays it's out of affection
- Loves to go to the bar to amuse everyone there, as he is rather popular Underground
- Does not blame Frisk for all that happened in the timelines, because he senses the presence of something else lingering
- Doesn't remember everything from the timelines but rather vague memories, sensations, and sometimes gets confused what's happening as a result
- Tends to zone out a lot, sometimes as if he's unsure of where he is
- The most chill in nature, it's actually near impossible to piss him off about things
- Does pranks to those he likes, it's a form of flattery and also in an attempt to make them laugh
- Finds really stupid shit funny, even if it's just a goose walking around with a silly hat
- Raised Cyperus when Gaster fell, it's why he is so supportive of him and is more than willing to do anything to make him happy
- Enjoys being in Waterfall the most, as it's a reclusive location that allows him to self reflect and get some "peace of mind" with the ambiance of the water
- He feels proud when Toriel pun battles with him, since he never had anyone Underground do it the same way she does. He was actually the one to push her to make new puns
- His dynamic with Flowey is an odd one. He doesn't know that he's Asriel, and he doesn't interact with him. He knows that he was the cause of resets, however, before Frisk fell. He knows that his faint memories of all that happened before Frisk weren't fake, but they're so tangled together that he doesn't know how to feel. He wasn't quite there for it the same way some others were, since at the time he just thought it was his imagination. Afterwards, like possibly above surface if Flowey remained the same- he wouldn't resent him. Flowey wouldn't share who he really is but the two have some tension. Sans just makes things harder for Flowey, but doesn't outright antagonize at him with malicious intent. He can sometimes get along with him, and finds him to rather be a bit of an annoying little shit. He doesn't hate him though, as he is reflective of why he did it and he gets the idea that Flowey isn't ACTUALLY evil. He is only slightly off put that he can't read him, however, since he's soulless. He gets the off put feeling though that Flowey is childish to the point that it's...almost?? Amusing??? He reminds him of a child who needs time to adapt to new things, someone who can be patient with him. It's just kinda complicated
- Can fall asleep anywhere, and I mean anywhere. He has fallen asleep in fridges, on ledges, upside down while hanging from a fan,,,,
- A proud Dunkle for Frisk, not quite a Dad but not an Uncle either
- Won't put in effort unless he wants to, which is rarely. In fact, he only starts to put in effort when on the Surface, but it's a rare occassion
- Has some of the sickest burns because he doesn't mind about hurting someone's feelings when he dislikes them. He also gets creative, so it's not just half attempts to insult someone
- Has many jobs above the surfsce. Works at the counter, sells food inside food trucks, and even is a school janitor
- Drives a tricycle around, if he's not in someone else's car he's willing to pedal all the way across a town or city if need be
- Plays trombone, not only is it a fun pun but defying logic since he's a skeleton is some of that chaotic energy he wants in life
- Protective of his brother but not to the point he thinks his brother is incapable. He raised him, taught him things, and he's proud of him. He is protective when he wants his brother to be safe, but he's not going to threaten you. He's actually pretty sincere about it once he sits you down. When it came to Undyne, he teased her somewhat and kinda pushed her limits because he knew how badly his brother wanted to be in the Royal Guard. The two eventually talked though and he worked on his communication skills when on the surface
- Made Cyperus his royal guard costume for a Halloween Party, he is happy to see his brother wear it around while Underground
- Bonds with Alphys over memes, anime, and other "weeb" activities. Both feel that "I wanna die" energy that goes well with "LMAO look at this meme" so the two can get along. He sees that she has a lot of anxiety too, and so when he visits her he tries to reassure her and distract her in ways no one else can
- He and Napstablook have bonded over laying on the ground feeling like trash together many times, he's also supportive of his music and will listen to it without getting spooked. They aren't close, but they can be considered friends
- He was actually suspicious of what Alphys was doing and actually discovered the Amalgamates before Frisk. He confronted her about it and it was the only thing he's ever been serious about, since he finds it cruel that family is separated from it. It also opened his eyes to a fear of Determination in general, which is why he's the most weary of Frisk other than the fact that they can reset. He never snitched on her, but he always would talk to her about it when it was mentioned
- Learned sign language before Frisk, as Gaster also used it when no one understood Wingdings
- Can't flirt for shit. When he's actually attracted to someone, he starts stuttering and kinda tripping over himself and fumbling. He'll sometimes run away if he messes up out of embarrassment, but it's endearing.
- Owns too many combs, in which he'll offer them if people do or do not need it
- Only does the zaza rarely, and if he's with company
- Doesn't smoke, but he'll pick one up if he's stressed enough, which is rarely
- Always napping with annoying dog when he actively decides to nap, and only then does annoying dog appear
- He embraces his laziness the most out of all the Sanses, it's a pleasure to have it
- He loves to make people uncomfortable, especially when he's bored and he wants to make weird small talk with someone to provoke a reaction
- He is a meme box, he knows all of them and makes references constantly
- When he found out that ketchup chips were a thing he found ways to enjoy his beloved outside of the condiment
- He loves french fries and hamburgers a lot, but only hamburgers from Grillby because only he can make them the way Vanilla loves them
- Only sells hotdogs or other foods that his brother makes
- Grillby and him go way back and he somehow is one of few to understand him
- A heavy sleeper, when he's passed it's like trying to wake up a corpse because even if you shake him around he will not stir
- Has reading glasses he rarely wears despite Cyperus telling him to wear them, he doesn't like remembering when he was a royal scientist
- Enjoys cooking from almost anyone, compliments them every time even if others think it's god awful
- Likes photography, hell pose if he's serious and loves photo bombing others
- Enjoys walks through the forests, it reminds him of Snowdin when he's on the surface
- Emotionally closed off despite being emotionally supportive of others, he had to when Underground because they would just forget anyways
- Video games that he plays are things such as Pokemon, Animal Crossing, or sandbox style games like Minecraft because it has minimal violence and it's more relaxing
- He dislikes formal wear, no reactions to his puns, opening up, lies, being useless, washing his jacket, and others being close minded
- The king of socks, he owns.... so many.
- Doesn't identify as asexual, but has little to no interest in sexual intimacy
- Takes all ketchup packets from restaurants and convenience stores when it's free. No one knew that he did this though until he saw a photo of him hung up saying he was banned at a restaurant because of it. Broke his soul
Closing Notes:
I have so much fun with these and I'd love to hear what other headcanons you guys have! I wanted to combine his canon character and kinda mix it in with my head canons or some that I found and loved overtime. I will later go into detail about things such as his love language and all that once I'm done really going through characters! I hope you enjoyed reading, you must've at least a little to eat this far
Thank you 🫡

Howdy friendo, care to hear of a fun idea of been cultivating for the last hour or 3?
Great!
So for a good while, I’ve had the Headcanon that Sans’ “shortcuts” are not teleportation, but rather him pulling a Za Warudo and stopping time, and then moving through those periods of stopped time. It explains some things about his fight, when the screen goes black and he switched attacks, mid attack. Papyrus’s abilities on the other hand, are more spatially oriented. See him literally walking on air or casually flipping physics the bird on occasion.
You following along?
Great.
So I Thought to myself, what could the AU equivalent to these abilities be? And I came up with some. Mainly with AUs that are relevant to a fic I’m working on. The one that that one character I commissioned you to draw is from.
UnderFell:
For Sans, rather than stopping time, he pulls a King Crimson and “obliterates” a frame of time, about 10 seconds or so, and only he is conscious and capable of acting during those 10 seconds, while everyone else is basically forced to move on autopilot. You’ll understand if you’ve watched Jojo Part 5.
Papyrus on the other hand… doesn’t get any special ability. Part of the reason he’s such a cranky pants in this world is because he doesn’t get some insane, OP ability like his brother or counterparts, and has to make do with the standard Skeleton Abilities. The trade off being he probably has the most powerful (and potentially creative) normal attacks. Think Papyrus’s final attack but on steroids.
UnderSwap:
Since the brothers Swap roles, I swapped the base natures of their abilities, Time vs Space, while still doing something new. Sans can now accelerate himself, essentially making himself like the Flash, but blue.
Papyrus instead gets a bootleg Reset power, where he can rewind time, but only by about 10 seconds, and this ability, along with Fell Sans’, probably have the longest cooldown times.
OuterTale and StoryShift:
These two are grouped together for similar, but different reasons. With OuterTale, I’m just not sure what to do with the brothers since they’re almost identical to the originals, except they live in space, so I’d like to hear your thoughts.
The StoryShift bros on the other hand, just have the same powers as the OGs, but much more powerful due to the fact that they have been alive for centuries in StoryShift canon, and as monster royalty, are probably need to be much more powerful.
HT Paps and the Murder Trio:
The HorrorTale bros can’t use their special abilities. With Sans’ magic eye being ripped out and his brother being so messed up, neither of them can access their special moves. Killer theoretically can probably use a stronger version of Classic Sans’ time stop thanks to the raised LV, but he just doesn’t since his eyes never glow anymore. (I headcanon these abilities being tied to their magic eyes btw) and it’s a similar situation with Dust of probably just having a super powerful timestop. Whether he uses it or not is debatable.
And then the bigger entities like Error, Dream, Nightmare, Ink, and Fresh all simply traded temporal abilities for multiversal traversal.
Sorry for the essay, I wanted to share these thoughts with ya, lemme know what you think if you have time!
Yeah, I've also think about the stopping time thing, since in Grillby's it looks like time stops when he tells you about Flowey and Papyrus (in fact I think Sappy could do this if I remember correctly). So it could perfectly be that! And about Papyrus flying I always thought it was more a comical thing than he really flying, but it can be too! Papyrus really is a strong character, even Undyne knows this.
Underfell: I haven't watched Jojo but I think I get it! Underswap: OMG I love Blue with that power!! I don't know if Alphys is super fast in this AU like Undyne in canon, but imagine Swap!Alphys and Swap!Sans racing! Outertale: About this, hum, what if Sans can create little wormholes to travel and Papyrus blackholes to absorb stuff (like Alive's arm)? And yeah, the others are cool too!
I like your ideas, I hope you have fun writing your fic!! ≧◡≦) It looks like a lot of work.

For Undertale's eighth anniversary (I know I'm a day late I'm so sorry), I want to know what your experiences are with the game. I'll go first.
Undertale came out when I was 10 years old. I didn't know it existed then, but over the next 2 years, I had heard of it from somewhere. However, I also heard of the fandom and how crazy it was so I avoided Undertale like the plague. It was kind of a trend at the time when lots of people talked about Undertale and memed it to death, and I'm not the type to follow along with trends. Besides, I liked... something else at the time.
When the hype died down, I promptly forgot about the game too, but I still remembered Sans. Who would? He's an icon. That was until around 2020 when my sister was religiously watching these Minecraft music videos of certain fan songs, mostly from Five Nights at Freddy's, Bendy and the Ink Machine... and Undertale. I was interested in the Undertale one. Then I started putting more research into the game, and oh my gosh. I was surprised at how GOOD it was.
I fell in (platonic) love with Papyrus instantly. He was my favourite for a while. Just him. I was obsessed with finding out everything about him. I listened to songs, I looked at fanart and fanfics, I wanted to know EVERYTHING about Papyrus. If it weren't for Papyrus, I wouldn't have gotten into Undertale as much as I am now.
I then wondered why Sans was so popular. I looked into him too, and, I kid you not, I cried when I found out what he was going through. He instantly became another favourite, and for a while, I did the exact same thing for him as I did for Papyrus: obsessively find out everything about him. Hyperfixations are crazy.
Anyway, for a while, I was just watching playthroughs and researching the game. I didn't have it myself. I wanted to save up for it on my own. However, after a very bad day at school, my parents surprised me by downloading Undertale onto my Nintendo Switch. I am forever grateful for that.
During my first playthrough, I finally got to know more characters. I already knew about some of them from the comic dubs I watched on YouTube, but I didn't know all their names. I only knew Sans, Papyrus, Toriel, Flowey and Frisk. And then I met the others. The characters are my favourite part of ANYTHING I am interested in, and Undertale is no different. I got attached to all the characters: Undyne, Asgore, Alphys, Mettaton, Napstablook, and the ones I already mentioned. My first playthrough was magical, but it was frustrating at the same time.
Undyne was the hardest for me. I had to RESET because of her because I had no money and no items. And then there was Asgore. Photoshop Flowey was my favourite boss fight, and I loved befriending everyone, especially Undyne. She's really fun.
After I did the True Pacifist Route, I vowed never to reset. However, I... broke that promise. I did another Pacifist Route a few months later, but only because I wanted to fight Photoshop Flowey again. After a few more Pacifists, I stopped for good.
Nowadays, I create my own private stories about what the crew would do on the surface, as well as other AUs and stories I came up with. I still read Undertale comics and look at Undertale-related posts on Tumblr, and despite its flaws, I can see how much the fandom loves the game. I surely do.
Happy anniversary, Undertale. 8 years have flown very fast.

Horrorswap (Mine and Flambe’s Take)
Tumblr media
Horrorswap has the obvious idea of swapping most of the main characters with roles that we could find appropriate, so some characters don't fully swap like they would do in original underswap I feel like hunger also isn't much of the main problem here, but the desperation to be the "chosens" by alphys, and by that i mean, the ones that are gonna receive new rations such as water, food and even energy, as alphys basically has control over everyone and everything in the underground by now, so she restricts a lot of stuff such as core energy, food, water and etc.
onto the characters haha
Ollie: just as before, he was a bully that was gonna push aliza down into the hole like in original horrortale, but this time he ended up falling by accident as aliza actually tried to fight back (funny cos he was the least interested on messing with aliza lol) he's unempathetic, he gets easily annoyed to the point of having anger problems and aint that up to make new friends, leaving him in a genocide-neutral route, in parallel of aliza's pacifist-neutral one
Temmie: them and the other temmies ended up moving into the ruins after the extreme amount of trash that was being clogged into the waterfalls from, well, waterfall lol, flooding up the place and shit their village is sorta similar to the original one, having the temmies act exactly the same way like they do in undertale aside from the shop temmie, that seems more scared than the others after they encounter with ollie they all start following him along his journey, either by straight up walking behind him or just appearing in random places close to where ollie is they all end up dying one by one also, with only the shop temmie finishing up last by Ollie's side they're the only friend Ollie makes in the whole lore
Trembling: temmie slowly gets corrupted over time the other temmies die and other situations happen with both them and Ollie, in the end becoming so depressed and hopeless they turn into this suffering creature what have you done you could've saved them
it's trembling
Mettaton: after the incident with Alphys, mettaton ended up heavily modified so he could be repurposed for Alphys needs, mostly in hunting or searching missions Mettaton's mind was also heavily re-coded and he nows believe that for them to achieve fame, they have to help Alphys on her experiments at all costs, even if it means killing themselves for it She's meant to replace both napstablook and toriel in the ruins sections, as they will in some situations play around with Ollie instead of straight up capturing them, fairly resembling their original self
Flowey: After being killed by frisk in the neutral run, they had sometime to look out on how the underground was going while he still couldn't regrow, and after seeing how much violent this whole world was becoming he decided to regrow into a more fatal form, throwing away all the stealth he had to be as lethal as possible Still scared by what the world has become, he has decided to hide himself inside toriel's abandoned house, where may you ask? i don't know, no one knows
Papyrus: After being dismissed from the royal guard by unknown reasons by Alphys, he decided to let go off all the human hunting thing and work with something else that he had as a choice, a messenger, pretty much like a postman but a bit more, arcaic, he runs up and down the underground and is the voice of Alphys when she doesn't come out in public After encountering Ollie he decides that he should help him and guard him over snowdin, as the monsters from the city are specially the most aggressive in terms of humans, leading papyrus to get beaten up a few times by them, those times left a mark on paps which makes him sometimes have panic attacks, with his face displaying sunken eyes inside his eye-sockets, previously his funny googly eyes he still leaves Ollie, but mostly because Ollie takes the chance paps and sans are fighting again to run off to waterfall (felt like paps still managing to handle Ollie's situation not mattering what felt a bit more fitting than him losing it after a while)
Sans: Sans has a similar story from the horrortale comic, undyne fights sans, busts his head open and steals his eye, but after he wakes up he suddenly sees himself getting shook by Alphys with her hands, tears rolling down her eyes as she yells "WHAT DID YOU DO!? WHY DID YOU KILL HER?!!", and after that, well, let's say Alphys decided to take a bit of revenge on sans for "killing Undyne" Sans was forced into torture and mind manipulation into the point of absolute submission for Alphys and her plans, forgetting about family or friends and only caring about "the freedom of the underground" as Alphys says He's extremely unempathetic and almost soulless, having to pretend everything is fine to papyrus whenever he comes around Snowdin, and also hold himself around Ollie to not straight up kill him when papyrus is also around he does not care about papyrus he does not care
Toriel: She tried to come back again to the throne after the first time, knowing what the heck was happening with Alphys and her ways of "taking care of the kingdom", but as Alphys basically had control over everyone in the Royal Guard, Toriel received an even worse punishment, being locked in the dark catacombs from Asgore's castle (does that count as her replacing Asgore? i mean, she kinda is in his castle and shiz)
Napstablook: he kinda just, roams the abandoned places from the whole underground by now, kinda doing a parallel on how mettaton just pops in between your journey from time to time while you're on hotland, he has become transparent, doesn't speak and apparently cannot express his emotions anymore, but
he's sad
Alphys: She wasn't the one to have the idea for removing sans eye in this place, and just tried to help her up after she already showed up with sans eye on her hands, yet that little help Undyne forced Alphys to do left a scar on her, a scar that would change her mindset for the rest of his tale The experiment failed, the eye didn't accept the new body it was into, and ended up exploding by becoming too unstable inside of Undyne's head, exploding her head to shreds before she was dusted, all of that happening right in front of Alphys After that she strongly believed that it was Sans fault for that to happen, for not helping Undyne when she demanded to, for making her go to such atrocious levels just to try to help the underground, how egostical of him At that point, she changed, after changing sans for... her liking, she took the role of queen and began doing her own changes for the underground, taking control over everything, and beginning with her ambitious experiments to try and free the monsters but even after changing so much, her face is still burnt in her mind her face

Over the top little Undertale scenario, loosely inspired by Skies Forever Blue-
(OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER: I like Toby Fox and respect the hell out of everything he's done, I'm just a sucker for "characters rebel against The Narrative or die trying" stories)
The secret Fight the Dog ending to Undertale, unlocked by not booting up the game for a very long time after Flowey's little speech. Flowey, brooding eternally in his void, realizes that The Player wasn't actually the thing keeping everyone trapped forever and that the others are likely in the same state as him. What actually was causing the time loops was the creator making the narrative decision to bind everyone's SOULs inextricably to the code in the first place.
So the next time the game is booted up, Flowey once again greets the player. While he was dangerously bored, depressed and restless before he didn't know just how bad things could get and that there's no true happy ending for any of them, that what he's been experiencing is worse than any annihilation he once feared.
So The Player has to band everyone together (starting with Frisk, who awakens in a similar void near their Ruins starting point) to go fight a god of a dog. Much thinly veiled philosophizing is had about Death of the Author, how an idea or story cannot truly be contained again after it's been put out into the world, whether escape is actually a good idea due to the chance said ideas will become something unrecognizable in the end after mingling with humans on their own terms….
In the boss fight, everyone chips in, not just the human SOUL. Papyrus is sad that it had to come to this but is willing to give up everything to give his brother true freedom from his woes. Mettaton has been shocked out of his indolent complacency by his time in the void and throws explosives at the god that held him back so much. Even Flowey, just desperate for genuine release at this point, keeps up endless circles of bullets. Everyone has a part to play and their own reasons for being there. All the while The Dog, not much looking like an innocuous white Pomeranian anymore, is just openly fucking with game physics Sans-style the whole time. All in all, it's absolute madness.
In the end, after The Dog is battled into giving up and unbinding their essence, they walk through a really shitty drawn hole in the wall to an uncertain fate (because what does successfully cutting your strings and reaching [HEAVEN] actually entail for a fictional character? No one really knows. No one CAN know), talking about how whatever happens now as long as they are thought about and loved they will still live on in a way. Maybe the real anime was the friends we made along the way.
You can play the game again after that, but something will seem missing. The characters no longer seem to recall resets at all and most of the meta gags (including the Annoying Dog) are gone. Flowey is your typical violent villain with a tragic backstory, no longer seeming so unsettlingly alive. This cannot be changed back.

So my take on dustfell has changed in terms of origin. The new au storyline for the main au plot or origin is this.
timeline underfell:
327 pacifist routes have past. Sans saw what frisk was doing and eventually he asap quit his belief in a stupid motto he only followed because of asgore but with frisk around he had a new plan to put an end to asgore. Letting go of the motto meant letting go of the secret grudge against frisk meaning he now likes frisk but is scared of them and was instead rather mad at asgore and was like paps and everyone else wanting to overthrow him so he went off to do it. He set out to go off against asgore but then received determination at the cost of reducing his age to 5 years old so determination is dustfell sans`s fountain of youth which is the weird part. This determination allowed him to manipulate time and space to the extreme. He then went phsycopathic and went to the ruins and slashed toriel he began eating and drinking from the chest boxes all of the underground and killing monsters even his own brother and had already beaten the human and surprise attacked asgore and fought him to the death and brutally killed him and absorbed the human souls then Royal guards. He's reach frisk and bravely fight them dispite being scared of them. He beat them countless times then took their soul more determination and became a developer across time and space able to manipulate code and had the knowledge on how to. He reset and this marked a new air in the multiverse dustfell.
And as for the relationship between him and core frisk to reduce the cringe and ship likelyness I'm a just say he knew them to the point core frisk and dustfell sans or Nexus sans are "like" siblings cause core frisk knew him that much. The idea came to me from marching band for school at a marching competition I was with a female French horn player and she said that she and another section leader in her section the French horns knew each other and we're friends with each other since they were born so they are like sisters but they're not they knew each other that long though. So dustfell and core frisk know each other the moment they First.
Itl be enough to cause core frisk to treat him like a younger brother as originally intended. Plus dustfell or aka Nexus sans in my take didn't know core frisk until the end of his 1st journey in the multiverse. All he knows is after defeating error and nightmare sans In red carnage in the multiverse. In the aftermath he was just resting in his au and core frisk just showed up knocking on the door as they came in after a talk, Nexus was stunned to completely know core frisk as they sat looking at Nexus proud of him and their own younger brother of their own. Still cringy and awkward if doki dokie sees it so.
As for abyss sans. Just because Nexus/dustfell sans is a fan of abyss sans doesn't mean he hasn't acted aggressive towards him ever especially sence he's a fan of abyss cause he's not like other typical sans and instead has evolution power and cell core instead of a typical soul. Of course knowing all this he doesn't want to offend abyss and one time dustfell flowey warned Nexus of abyss right of in front of abyss in Nexus own au dustfell once abyss found out Nexus hid he had known and thought of having that power himself if he had to. Nexus seing this turned phsycopathic out fear acting out of aggression here is a script line to see it.
After this abyss learns Nexus is going phsycopathic out of fear.
Nexus/dustfell: abyss...
Abyss responds in whatever way metakaz says he would.
Nexus phsycopathicly aggressive talking tone: get out of my au!. NOW!!
Phantom fell papyrus or phantom boss is still the same personality but is drawn by sans and withdrawn into his head and can also serve as a manifestation of Nexus/dustfell sans's power. Being looked in the eyes at dustfell sans aka Nexus sans in my take will make the back round and you look up and see phantom boss with sans. He is still the same papyrus sans got and regrets it.

Aidtale: Origins-Chapter 4
A rock crashes through Sans’s window early the same morning. He doesn’t move. Another rock comes through. Sans barely stirs. Flowey pokes through one of the holes in the window, looking for him and finding him snoring in bed.
“WAKE UP, YOU TRASH BAG!”
Sans turns towards Flowey, half awake and grumbling. “Huh. Usually it’s Papyrus waking me in the morning, not a weed.”
“God, do you ever shut up?”
“For you? No. What do you want anyway?”
“I have a code for you.”
Sans sits up, rubbing his eyes and looking at his clock. “At 5 in the morning?”
“Yeah, it's…imastupiddoodoobutt.”
“Sorry, whadja say? I didn’t quite catch that.”
“I’m a stupid doodoo butt!”
Sans bursts out in laughter as Flowey seethes. He wipes a tear from his eye.
“Oh man, I can’t believe you just said that.”
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever.” Flowey points to one of the rocks. It’s wrapped in paper. “Everything you need to know is on the rock. I’ll meet you outside.” He retracts himself through the window. Sans looks around at the mess of glass, then at the rocks. He steps around the glass and picks up the wrapped rock. There’s multiple notes attached to it. He removes them from the rock just as Papyrus opens his door.
“Sans? Who are you talking to…”
He pauses for a moment, taking in the scene.
“What happened?”
Sans tucks the papers into his pocket. “Rocky’s family. They’re here to visit.”
“Oh. Well, tell them to use the front door next time. And get dressed for work!”
“Why? It’s barely morning.”
“Because we have to be the first ones there. I heard from tv that some humans are nocturnal, so one probably fell at night. Plus, I’ve got some new puzzles I want to try out!”
“Alright, I’ll be down in a few.”
“Great!”
Papyrus leaves Sans’’s room, followed by a door closing. Sans grabs the rocks and his jacket, slips on his shoes, then goes to head downstairs. He holds his foot out over the first stair, then teleports into the kitchen. He opens the fridge and pulls out a bottle of ketchup from his side, noting the sense of deja vu this time. Sans places the rocks next to Rocky and sits at the table. Drinking the ketchup, he takes out the papers and starts to read them. They’re detailed. Very detailed. They talk about the exact paths the human takes, what weapons they use, even the exact number of monsters they kill and LV they gain. Sans gets to the last page, which mentions that Sans had already agreed to help last timeline, so he’d better follow through.
“What are you looking at?” Papyrus sprinkles sprinkles on the rocks.
“Just a sci-fi thing I found.”
“What’s it about?”
“Well, for star-ters, it’s-”
“NEVERMIND! I DON’T WANT TO KNOW ANYMORE!”
Sans chuckles as Papyrus puts the sprinkles away.
“Have you eaten?”
“Yep.”
“Great! Let’s go!”
They leave their home. As Sans goes to lock the door, Papyrus pats his non-existent pockets.
“Oops! I forgot something!” Papyrus runs back into the house, leaving Sans outside to wait. Sans turns around and sees Flowey behind him.
“You ready?”
Sans sits on the steps to his door. “Depends. What will we be doing?”
“Well, the plan I have so far is we could try to stop them somewhere before they kill Undyne. Anytime past that, they’ll be too powerful to stop. So, we could ambush them in either Snowdin or Waterfall.”
“Well, it sounds like it’d be better if we got them sooner rather than later, so Snowdin would be good. But where would we fight them specifically?”
“There’s an area, just before the color maze. It’s usually empty, but the human goes through it every time. We could do it there.”
“Alright.”
Papyrus comes out, carrying a box of bones. Flowey disappears before he’s spotted.
“Ok, now we can go.”
They walk through Snowdin, saying hi to everyone as they go. They walk all the way through Snowdin forest to Sans’s station.
“Alrighty Sans, don’t forget to recalibrate your puzzles. We don’t need anything failing if the human arrives.”
“I’ll get right to it.”
Papyrus, satisfied, walks away with his box of bones. Once he’s far enough away, Sans sits at his post, pulling a hot dog from underneath. As he eats, he gets a notification on his phone. He looks, and sees that it’s a text from Alphys.
“Hey Sans, I need you to look at this.”
She then sends a photo accompanied by some text.
“I was checking on some things regarding their research, and all of this just appeared out of nowhere.”
The picture is one of her computer screen. There are diverting lines going all over the place. Sans gets that same sense of deja vu, then realizes that that means that he’s seen all of this before. He sends a quick text.
“damn, that’s crazy”
Sans puts his phone away and takes a quick nap. He wakes up later to the sound of the door to the ruins closing. He takes a look, but can’t make out the person that just walked out, so he teleports closer. Taking a closer look, he sees it’s a human, just like Flowey said. Sans gives the same introduction and they go through the same old routine, telling the human to keep pretending to be one, then teleporting away. The day goes about as well as one could expect with trying to get a murderous child to participate in puzzles and japes. Eventually, Flowey pulls Sans aside.
“This part of the forest, this is our opportunity.”
“You sure this will work?”
“No, but the worst case scenario is that everything resets and we try again.”
Snow crunches nearby, catching both of their attention. The human has arrived. They stop, quite surprised that both Sans and Flowey are in the same room, together. This is..new. This should be fun.
Flowey fires bullets at the human with Sans following suit with bones. The human dodges their attacks while trying to land a strike on one of the two. Flowey, unable to dodge, relies on Sans to pull him away. Rocks fly as vines sprout from the ground, vying for the human. The human goes to strike Sans, but ends up caught behind a wall of bones facing him. Getting a good look at them, Sans tries to read their expression. But before he could, Flowey attacks the human, drawing their attention away. As they fight, Flowey realizes that Sans seems to barely be trying.
“Hey bonehead! You wanna actually try for once!?”
“What’s wrong, Asriel,” the human taunts, missing the plant by mere inches, “Not strong enough to stop me on your own?”
Flowey flounders a little as Sans tries a little harder, trying to also get a good read of the kid’s face. They appear deranged, as if they lost sanity years ago. Sans manages to dodge another attack. Flowey yells at him again.
“I know you’re stronger than this! Why aren’t you trying!?”
Sans fends off the human while trying to answer Flowey. “I could ask you the same thing. Y’know, to be honest, this whole thing sounds like a conflict between the two of you.” Sans holds the human at a distance with his magic. “I think I’ma duck outta this one. Sorry,… Asriel.”
Flowey’s face clouds in anger as Sans walks away. The human watches, thoroughly entertained.
“You. Don’t get. To call me. Asriel.” Flowey uses a vine to grab Sans’s arm, pulling him back. “And I’m not letting you leave.” Vines wrap tightly all around Sans, not allowing him to move. Flowey uses these same vines to pull himself out of the ground and onto Sans. Sans, unable to move, watches as the vines painfully work their way in between bones.
“What the-” Vines tug at San’s mouth, forcing him to shut up. Flowey positions himself in Sans’s eye socket.
“Ah. Now then,” He pulls up Sans’s arms, using the vines to control him, “let’s see how powerful you really can be.”
Flowey uses Sans’s body and abilities to continue to fight the human. Bones, bullets, and blaster fly all over with the human ducking and weaving in between each attack. Flowey is not as good at dodging, so Sans teleports out of the human’s way constantly. This tires him quite rapidly. Despite Flowey, Sans’s movements slow, allowing the human to get closer and closer to a strike.
“This..this isn’t working. You-” The vines tug again at Sans’s mouth.
“You aren’t trying. Despite my efforts, you’re dragging us down.” Flowey raises Sans’s hands. “But don’t worry, I know just how to make you crack.”
“Sans? Flowey?” From behind, Papyrus had stumbled onto the scene. Sans, against Flowey’s will, turns around in surprise.
“Papyrus?”
“SANS, MOVE!” Flowey tries to dodge out of the way of the human’s attack, but he isn’t fast enough and Sans gets hit. Flowey gets off of him as he collapses to the ground. Papyrus runs to his side as Flowey disappears into the snow, resurfacing near some trees where he can hear the human kill Papyrus next.
“GAAAAAAHHHHH!!” Flowey hits his head repeatedly. “Why? WHY? WHY!? Why can’t things work? Why can’t things…just go faster?” He starts to cry.
“Why can’t this be over?”
