I havent seen anyone point this out yet but, it's CANON that Edgeworth and Wright went on a date a few days before the trial of Athena Cykes
And where did they go?
To see their daughter's magic show
That's super cute

Ace Attorney is wild. I'm having a trial in a broken courtroom held by a mad woman, one of my daughters is on trial with so much PTSD she's not entirely sure she's innocent, my other daughter is a hostage, I have no idea where my son is, and my husband is poking the crazy robot WHILE OUR DAUGHTER'S LIFE IS ON THE LINE!

I think Klavier should have been the prosecutor in Ace Attorney 5-3 (Turnabout Academy), and the defense should have been Athena and Phoenix.
The only main reoccurring character to really get character development in this case is Athena. Apollo and Blackquill are fine, but they don't really do much in this case. But Klavier and Phoenix? Oh boy is there a lot of potential there.
For one, the murder victim is someone Klavier greatly respected and trusted. Considering how things turned out with previous people he trusted, it would make sense that he would consider this case personal and want to take it on.
That already has a lot of potential for character development, but the real kicker is that in this case the prosecution presents forged evidence.
Imagine how amazing it would be if Klavier presented forged evidence in a case against Phoenix? Imagine the moment when Klavier realized that their roles had reversed? Suddenly Phoenix has the opportunity to take vengeance. He could accuse Klavier of forging it himself. He could press charges. He could do everything Klavier did to him if he wanted to.
But he doesn't.
When Klavier says he didn't know about the forged tape recorder, Phoenix believes him. When he says he is dedicated to finding out the truth, Phoenix believes him.
Phoenix gives Klavier the second chance, faith and trust that Klavier never gave him.
This could have forced open a whole other side plot about Phoenix and Klavier working out, or at least attempting to work out, their complicated history.
This could even tie back in thematically with the main three students in this case and how they are all lying to each other! There was literally so much possibility here and I feel like I am the only one who sees it.
