People try to shorten Brennan Lee Mulligan's name to BLM but what they don't know is that Lee is actually short for "Let me just say something really quick and then proceeds to monologue aggressively" Mulligan

I think, and I honestly believe this, that Rue in Dimension 20’s a Court of Fey & Flowers and his “big swing” is one of the best things I’ve ever seen a player do in D&D. And it was his FIRST full session ever.
I truly thought he’d planned it with Aabria. When they discussed it during Adventuring Party afterwards and confirmed it was improvised, I lost my fucking shit. Bravo

I think the thing about creatives moving for their own subscription based plataform for me is that: it is a gringo issue. Not in a bad way but more like my favorite brazilian youtubers are not going to do that or if they ever do it'll take a while!
This means I'm mostly just losing my favorite foreing channels. Said channels are of course for english speakers wich means subscrition fees are dollar based. So the acessible 5 to 6 bucks becames 25 to 30 bucks for me (not even conting the conversion fees) and I just have no way of paying that much.

making creative content online is very difficult now, i get that. i get why online creators would want to pivot to SVOD, like lindsay ellis who is now exclusively on nebula and collegehumor/droupout tv. it is tough to create when you are beholden to the whims and fancies of advertisers. HOWEVER, i cannot in good conscience say i like what watcher is doing right now. it feels extremely scummy and slimy to move entirely to streaming, without a significant transitional period, and to also delete your entire channel backlog in the process. it also feels scummy to launch a separate streaming platform while you have an active patreon where you are making a significant amount of money from your patrons--patrons who are most likely the ones to purchase a Watcher TV Subscription in the first place. i think CH did as good a job you can do when transitioning from AVOD to SVOD. in my humble opinion, CH also had a lot more of a reason to pivot to longer form subscription-based content as the changing YT algorithm made their short-form scripted sketch comedy a less and less viable business venture which matters a lot when you are a company that has over 100 full-time employees (at the time, before IAC sold and subsequently led to the bankruptcy of CH in january 2020). this just doesn't sit right with me. i would love to be proven wrong but as it stands i don't think watcher tv's existence is justifiable. this is disappointing, but honestly? not that surprising.

I'm sure everyone expected it to be a big hit tho. like joe did all these magazines and interviews (and was even on that vanity fair video with the - according to them - 21 biggest actors on television rn). I'm sure everyone expected him to get the paul mescal treatment so they put him in everything to get that hype except he...didn't lmao.
I mean he’s absolutely getting a ton of hype lmao? And if we look at the response to CWF compared to like WeCrashed and The Droupout - both also super controversial and divisive - there’s not that much of a radical difference? So I’m not really following this argument. I think they’ve done as well as LENNY anticipated. Maybe Hulu had bigger dreams for it but like they should’ve then listened to Lenny since he called all of this? (Or not cast Mr Taylor Swift since that would’ve reduced some of the mean spirited anti’ing). Idk bestie I just don’t know.
I wouldn’t say “CWF is a smaller show than WeCrashed and Joe shouldn’t have been included in a VF spread on spring TV” because that’s not true?

I think somewhere off in another timeline Brennan Lee Mulligan & Izzy Roland are like Reddit AITA type of YouTubers with just a massive following.
Like I regularly watch Jamie @jammi-dodger & Shaaba and I love how they think about & intake information, and I feel like Brennan and Izzy are also two of the most simultaneously opinionated but chill & wholesome people. Also me & my roomie really love the Smosh AITA content which I never would have imagined watching “old Smosh.”
Like I just started rewatching Fantasy High and I feel like even tho Brennan wouldn’t necessarily want to share publicly his advice/opinions I could definitely see him getting on Reddit and wanting to help so many of these kids on the like “Advice For Teens” Reddit and people on the “Am I The Assshole?” Reddit. Like the man has not only worked with kids and knows how to talk to them, but he’s been able to meet them where they’re at. I feel like the internet just knows how like objectively good this man is. Izzy is also hilarious and you can get a read for her not only by the Droupout stuff, but also the shows she’s worked on like how SLoCG is so focused on female adolescence and doesn’t just hyper-sexualize it. Like the show isn’t afraid to make characters bad people while also letting them learn from their actions. Also Izzy loves reality TV so I feel like she’s got some really good opinions on drama in general.

It’s A Virgin Tradition
[image description of five gifs
1. Lily Du tilts her head and says “This all reminds me of my first kiss.” (Headline reads: F-150: Kiss in the Front, F*ck in the Back) 2. Clearly thinking about it, Lily says “It was after high school, ‘cause I didn’t date in high school.” (Headline transitions to: BREAKING: Lily Didn’t Date in Highschool) 3. Brennan Lee Mulligan sits next to Lily. As she says “I don’t know if it’s gonna be funny. I think we simply kissed” he raises his eyebrows. 4. Lily says “But the first time I had sex, I did lock my dad in the basement to do it.” Brennan’s face turns to shock as she speaks. 5. Erica Ishii faces the camera, wide-eyed. They break into laughter. (Headline reads: It’s a Classic Virgin Tradition)]

Zac: Now, I’ve shown you the basics. How to make a peanut butter sandwich. And now, I am going to, I forgot, peel this onion without hands or tools using these mittens?
Making Peanut Butter Sandwiches With a Bowling Ball
[image description of four gifs:
1. Kellen Schneider and Ryan Creamer smile as Kellen says “Let’s check in with Tom, who is finally finished making sandwiches.” (Headline reads: Famous For Shallow Graves) 2. Zac Oyama looks relieved. He says “Oh, thank God.” before hitting a red bowling ball with the open end of a jar of peanut butter once more and smearing the peanut butter on a piece of bread. (Headline reads: A Sandwich Content Sandwich) 3. Ryan says “That’s right. Now, we’re going to learn how to peel an onion without a knife, and both of our hands in big mittens.” 4. Zac looks confused and responds “Say what?” A pair of mittens are slid over to him. He puts down the sandwich near a stack of poorly made sandwiches.]
