the more i look at the mcyt community the more i marvel at the fact that i managed to stan any of these men. literally all of them except for ranboo are utter rubbish. i think it's a good thing i was a ranboo fan because imagine how much more fucked up my mental health would've become if i had been a dream stan
fr ranboo used to be my favorite to and im not happy i liked dsmp but i liked the best of the worst yknow
but dsmp sucks and the more you open yourself up to talking critisim seriously the more you realized how fucked up everything is

not to doompost but srsly how many days does #dropdream/#dropdsmp need to top trend on twitter before someone says anything at all.

genuinely the dropdsmp tag on twt is fucking pointless now.
if y'all wanna get tommy's attention, that is not the way to do it. that is just setting yourselves up to not be taken seriously at all.
i get the urgency of wanting tommy to understand what's going on, i do. but he hasn't touched dsmp since november, and vol 2 is most likely never gonna happen.
how would he drop dsmp if he's probably never gonna see it happen anyways?
ppl need to be consistent, and send the archived thread with the original allegations directly to him and under his replies. people need to be calm when trying to tell him the weight of this situation. if you go around insulting him and just saying "your best friend dream is a terrible person" yeah no shit he's not gonna take it seriously bc already enough people disliked dream (prior to the allegations) and would make up anything that had nothing to do with shit he actually did. not to mention that he knows dream. we don't. he's more likely to take his word bc he's known dream for a longer period of time, and in a more personal way.
i'm not saying we shouldn't keep fighting to get tommy's attention on this issue, as we should for every other cc, but i am saying that running a hashtag over a dead server ain't it.

i wish all the people who tweets #dropdsmp would just, you know, drop the dsmp, and leave and never come back and stop hounding the CCs. I don't understand where they're getting the energy tbh. I get tired looking at them
imagine if they put a fraction of this energy into supporting tommy's charity that helps homeless queer youth in nyc who are primarily black and hispanic and victims of sexual violence. but no they don't care about victims. and they don't care about racism it's why they pick the trevor project and refuse to speak on wilbur's past. they just want to be the fucking worst.

tbf after that dumb dropdsmp or dropdream hashtag so many people dropped tommy bc they didn't want to support someone who knew what dream did and still stand by his side but tommy didn't seem to care about all the big fans leaving maybe he realized not long ago that his fandom numbers were low and if we are real i don't think he could attract new people bc people just don't care about mcyt anymore so the only way to make the numbers high is by getting back the old fans and how you can do that? giving them what they want and that's hating on dream. i knew this was going to happen when he started following old stans like he wanted them back so bad
its just so pathetic and sad. i hate it and i hate that he's making it sound like there's more to it and we dont know it. fuck that

Are the people trending #dropdsmp aware that they can just leave lmao. Like you can just go. I don’t understand why they’re making a whole hashtag about it.

I don’t mean to be dumb but what kind of legal action would be taken in this situation? I keep seeing people saying legal problems but like idk what would be done here
Uhhhh defamation case idk same stuff they were talking about when dropdsmp trended the first time in november. Basically saying this can be proof or something idk defamation cases are weird as hell

alrighhttt i just wanna state where i stand with the whole dream and dsmp situation
alot of the creators say and do messed up stuff and the ones who dont, dont do or say anything about it is just as bad i dont support anyone in the dsmp i dont watch their content i used to and i loved them so much i really looked up to them and its heartbreaking to walk away
its ok to look up to creators but having a parasocial relationships can be unhealthy espicially if thats all you spend time or money on but people have coping mechinisims and as long as their not hurting themselves or anyone else its ok
that being said dsmp does hurt ppl its not ok and i understand it can be a hyperfixation but these creators are harmful the best thing to do is leave and stop interacting, spread awarness but dont hold your breath the situation might not get better
now i dont agree with people bashing dsmp for anything other than the problimatic stuff because people are allowed to have intrest cringe culture is fucked up its not ok to make fun of someone for likeing something or saying pog or whatever and its not ok to shit on dreams face reveal or call fans childish(the thing is most of them are children so that insult doesnt even make since) its not ok to send death threats or wish someone dies or bully them or anything like that

Oh yeah, we're now trending dropinnittwt on twitter because they tried to trend dropdsmp and dsmpneg, so it was payback. Now they're trying to claim it's because we don't care about victims. -Shrimp Anon

Honestly getting an ask about this is just reaffirming that the best decision in my life was leaving twitter.

seeing young kids really try their hardest to trend ‘dropdsmp’ and trying to organise a ‘boycott’ and to ‘target the main streamers doing lore’ and part of me just feels sorry for them? like it’s not healthy to be so involved in an online space that just brings them distress especially at ages as young as 14 (which i saw in the tag)
i need people to know that if they’re uncomfortable, if they feel something in the fandom is going against their morals, they can just leave. in fact, they should leave - and i dont even mean this in a mean spirited way, genuinely the best thing anyone can do when they’re uncomfortable is leave.
they seem to think they can singlehandedly bring dream down and change ccs opinions. they seem to think they’re organising some kind of revolution. all they’re doing is working themselves up and being miserable.
Yeah but they’re so pathetic and annoying I think they deserve to feel bad about themselves
