hello folks, and welcome to my first installment of: Titans Rising redesigns!!! where i exercise my creativity a bit and redesign some of the dragons found in the HTTYD tv show and on the app, Titans Uprising

first up, we have the dramillion!!

the totally smooth underbelly has me feeling unpure thoughts and i do not like how so many assets just feel like they're stuck on with glue, i.e. the wings and the facial horns. the tail i could give more of a pass, but i'm aiming to rebrand here, folks, not just to settle for what was. OG design gets a 2/10

first, i did a liiittle study to get used to drawing dragons by drawing the deadly nadder!! OG design 10/10, i find absolutely no qualms

next, i redesigned the dramillion, keeping its spirit while making it feel more like it would fit the httyd style

things like the spikes on its head, the two-toed feet and teeny arms, its beak and underbite, and the fan-like tail fluke were all pretty integral to this being a dramillion. i did my best to reimagine them all in a way that felt cohesive and natural

and here is the final design!!!

Pairing: Animal/Pet-Like

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective/Possessive behavior, Violence, Threats, Kidnapping, Forced companionship.

Even after all your time here, you still managed to get lost on Dramillion Island. You had originally come here as a captive dragon specialist with the Dragon Hunters. You had noticed them catching Dramillions and sabotaged them whenever you could.

In response to this, the Dramillions in the area began to see you as savior... the only human they're willing to listen to. It was months ago when a bright blue Dramillion took you in. Dragon hunting was still occurring... but you were protected in exchange for trying to save the Dramillions.

Eventually, when they were taught by the Dragon Riders to save themselves, they didn't need to be scared anymore. However... the dragons never let you leave. Especially an alpha Dramillion... whom you named "Azure" due to the blue coloring on its scales.

Azure had always kept a keen eye on you. You stayed in their nest as other Dramillions roamed around. The dragons surprisingly cared for you...

But you knew this was not your home.

Regardless of what the dragons thought.

You knew you had to take your chance for escape at some point. You loved the Dramillions, you loved Azure, yet you needed to get home. They couldn't take care of you forever.

So when you saw signs of the Dragon Riders returning... you took a chance.

You could hear the cries and growls of Dramillions in the distance as you ran. You had managed to escape Azure's nest and began to run in the direction of where you heard the Dragon Riders. When you entered a clearing... you saw a Gronckle and a Night Fury.

You know these guys...

Fishlegs and Hiccup.

It appears that Fishlegs came back to check on the Dramillion population. What he and Hiccup weren't expecting was you to come stumbling out of the woods with tattered clothes.

You looked like a mess... collapsing on the grass with an exhausted sigh.

Both riders came running over to you. You felt one of them help you stand up as you shuddered. Fishlegs looks at you with concern.

"Woah, what happened?" Fishlegs asks as you try to recollect yourself.

"I've... been stuck here with the Dramillions for months." You whimper. "I just want to leave... I want to go home...."

"With the Dramillions? Are you saying they've... kept you here?" Hiccup questions, confused at the behavior. You nod quickly, only to flinch when you heard roaring.

Quickly turning, you're met with Azure and a couple other Dramillions. Reds, yellow, blues... the colors are pretty but dangerous. Especially when Azure stalks closer with a growl.

"H-Hey, Fishlegs... are they always this aggressive?" Hiccup asks, pushing you behind them both.

"Not with me! They should be fine now...." Fishlegs answers, watching carefully as Azure stares at... you.

Both riders can sense the danger. It's clear what you were saying was the truth. The Dramillion pack had imprinted on you... and they weren't going to let you go.

"Fishlegs, try to calm them down... I'll take them somewhere safe." Hiccup orders, ushering you onto the back of Toothless before taking off. Fishlegs goes to try and calm the Dramillions down... only for Azure to take off after you.

"W-Wait, where are you going!?" Fishlegs panicks as the Alpha Dramillion chases Toothless with two other Dramillions.

You shake as Hiccup flies Toothless. The chase is on... involving Hiccup trying to shake the Dramillions off. Unfortunately... it's three against one.

With a thwack, one of the other Dramillions hits into Toothless while another blasts with a plasma bolt they copied. The hits make you fall off the dragon, squealing in fear. You think you are to hit the water... noticing Toothless and Hiccup diving down too.

But Azure is quick to catch you on their back... flying off with a loud call.

The two other Dramillions follow their Alpha, calmed when they see you on the back of Azure. You shake your head and try to reason, affectionately calling the dragon's given nickname. Said dragon ignores you... no doubt flying back to their nest.

You wonder if the Dragon Riders will try again to save you... maybe with more riders...

Or maybe you really will be stuck here on Dramillion Island for the rest of your life.
