I can accept money through Paypal again! I have figured out how to report self-employment income without being considered "too rich" to receive disability/unemployment benefits. Yes, wading through that much bureaucracy was kind of harrowing. (The next fun thing I get to do is appeal the pro forma rejection I got for permanent disability benefits. Voice of Albertans with Disabilities continues to be wonderful and deserve support.)

Hello. I don't usually ask for help but I am reaching out to your kind hearts especially to those who love animals. (please do read the entire thing.)

I rescued Mochi last November 2022. I believe it was the power of the cat distribution system that brought us together. I was driving in the early hours of the night to fetch my dad from his DJ-ing gig when I found this kitten in the middle of the road. Despite honking my horn, it did not move an inch. I thought to myself that I would not want to drive back and see it lifeless so I decided to step out of my car and carry it to the sidewalk. When I had driven a few feet away, I saw it walk back to the road and settle in the middle. So that's when I said to myself, 'I am taking you home.'

Moving forward, Mochi has been a fat happy cat and has enjoyed home life with my pet dogs (Yes, they get along quite fine).

It was the night of January 5th of this year and I had not seen her when I had gotten home from a birthday party. She would usually be sitting on the dining table meowing. So I thought she might be in her usual hiding spot. Two days had passed and I still had not seen her. I thought to myself, "She might be just be wandering around looking for a mate."

But on the third day, as I was heading out of the house, I saw her hiding her head under my car. When I carried her, I was horrified at the sight of how she had looked. She was badly beaten to the point where her left eye had been damaged and she could not close her mouth. (Refer to the first photo)

I thought she would die and had accepted that maybe she would pass away. I had always told her she could rest and thanked her for her time with me. I had also discovered that she had prematurely gave birth to four kittens. Fortunately, this cat was one hell of a fighter! She drank the water I had placed that I had mixed dextrose powder and her meows were LOUD!

So I immediately brought her to the vet. Her left eye had been damaged and her nose had a sliced wound. The biggest problem for her was her lower jaw had fractured and it had developed a pus. Currently, she is in the vet and is undergoing medication but is having a hard time eating due to her fracture.

The doctor has said that she might need surgery to close up the fracture in order for her to fully heal as well as the removal of her damaged left eye to avoid any infections. I only have a certain budget for her but I can't afford the surgery and other test that might be needed. So this is where I ask for donations in order for me to save the life of this strong-willed cat.

My finances cannot cover everything as I am also contributing with family expenses.

*BEEP BEEP* IT'S ME AGAIN

So, because my life is one cosmic dick punch after another, I am getting booted out of my apartment after this weekend.

Due to the actions of my housemate over the past 8 months, which began with the carpet being torn up in one of the rooms in our unit and ended with her being arrested for assaulting me, the landlord would not renew the lease even with just me. I have another apartment (hopefully) lined up for July, but between now and then, I'm Pretty Well Boned.

I've got the money put aside for my deposit for the place, a steady job with pretty good pay, and very understanding employers, but I'm still scrambling to find a place to stay for this month. And with that, on top of costs of things like a storage unit and (potentially) movers, I need help again. I thought I was past this, but once again, here we are. Anything helps, donations or just sharing around!

PLEASE help! A Go Fund Me campaign for an amazing nonbinary coworker & friend!

My nonbinary coworker named Femur is in a household where they are threatened physically, emotionally, and mentally by their parents near daily. It's not just them either, it is all of their siblings, some of whom I also personally know to be good, hard-working people. They are scraping every penny together to get a place so they can move their siblings, and their partner (who is in a different shitty situation) OUT and into a place they can thrive together.

Femur works multiple jobs, they're an amazing artist and roleplayer, but they are incapable to getting this message out for themselves because their abusive parents stalk all of their socials. They would be threatened to signal boost on social media and they would be caught if they softblocked their parents.

After the latest incident which left their youngest (13 yo) sibling running away from home for their safety, without a cell phone or a place to stay for safety, on top of usual January retail hours getting cut short, the siblings are getting even more desperate for their safe space. Saving them is achievable! There is an old 70s house on the market they just need a bit more to get the offer in on! They've finally made this Go Fund Me in a ditch effort hope that myself and a few of their trusted friends can get the word out that they can't push for themselves.

Their mother set their 12-year-old Christmas Tree on fire last month. Time is running out faster than they can save for. Anything you can donate is appreciated.
