❦ A young woman clad in black stands in front of Philo. It's some time before noon, and the skies are a little cloudy. It's been... Maybe a day or two since she'd said she'd come here?

She glances between her phone and the sign in front of the shop, satisfaction with having found the right address smoothing out the slight furrow in her brow. Her eyes scan the display window, searching for something—

Or rather, someone.

Dolasach enters the shop only after she spots those brown curls somewhere inside. A friendly smile curls her lips, greeting ready... Even though all the plants and flowers were very much stealing her attention from the owner.

okay maybe asks is not the way bc as soon as i hit send i cannot for the life of my remember what the hell i said but i would also like to say that it’s wild how so few people have clocked how simeon is not above using a little bit of trickery to get his desired outcome. and honestly the more i think about it the more obsessed i get and combined with the other things you’ve said abt him, the more the venn diagram of dola and simeon overlaps i think lmao

you came right on time, because he was just as adorably cheeky in his new birthday event; there were times i wasn't so excited over his harmless deceit, but it adds to his charm imo! he'll always be a favorite character of mine ^^

now that the devs are slowly becoming more consistent with their characters in omswd with the addition of their new upcoming obey me game, nightbringer, i'm becoming a bit more hopeful that people will catch onto more accurate portrayals & characterizations of the side characters specifically. i'm unsure if you saw the mv, but i took great notice to how simeon didn't bat an eye when luke grabbed for his clothes...

anyways, i'm surprised that you remembered how i was simeon's unofficial wingman for dolasach! perhaps reading the new birthday event will help you brainstorm more about that if you haven't already? i gushed about it to my friend earlier--i thought it was cute ♡

Tell us about Dola!

shsjshs idek where to start with Dola ;w; thank u for giving me an outlet for talking about her LND incarnation omg I hope you know what you’re getting into when you asked this…

so like!! in general she’s my OC that I use everywhere bc I just like her too much to even care about making other OCs because to me she’s like… the ultimate cool doll >.> she tends to retain a lot of her traits each time + I try to keep as much of her original conflicted artist background as possible while still making it make sense with the lore of the universe I’m putting her in

So in LND as MC, she still has Caleb + Josephine, is a Hunter, and ofc has the aether core in her heart but strays from canon in that:

Art has a huge place in her life because her parents were renowned artists and she was primed to follow in their footsteps. She ends up dropping it sometime after she was orphaned though, and only picks it up around high school age and in secret

Gets dreams of fragments of her past lives with Rafayel, but she can never recall the face of the man that’s always in her dreams once she wakes up. Trying to sketch out the man’s face is her main reason for getting into art again, and it snowballs into her making art inspired by her dreams in general

She knows a lot about Lemurian myth and history because she dreams about the place + this one Lemurian so much that she had to look into it, and by extension is fascinated by the sea

Which also means that she did actually attend Rafayel’s lectures at her university when he became a visiting professor there. They kind of only have one proper conversation throughout that entire year though.

Her heart issues affect her more than they affect MC in canon, so the UNICORNS treat her a little differently to work around it. Largely that means she doesn’t go on as many missions as MC seems to? And is often deployed a support/the human radar bc of her Evol rather than a frontline fighter.

Doesn’t feel that strongly about being a Hunter once she actually is one? Tbh I think she kinda hates a majority of the work and commitment that comes with it but feels she can’t just quit after spending so much time working towards becoming one. Xavier and their training sessions together are kind of the main things keeping her there (+ she has fun killing Wanderers)

She’s not as bubbly or cheerful or bratty as the canon MC is. Her personality is a lot more reserved and introverted and she LOVES studying + learning, but there’s still a bit of playfulness there. There’s actually so many parts of the main story, Tender Moments, and Bond/Memoria that I’m changing or outright excluding because they just don’t work out for her the same way they do with canon MC sigh >.>;;

LOVES plants and flowers. In every iteration I have of her she’s at least half covered in floral tattoos and her home is always full of them! Very into flower language to an extent that I’m not ahdjsjs she makes me research a lot of things…

Kind of obsessed with death (mostly because she believes herself to be on a short timer) and is a little fucked up? Will join Rafayel in his quest for vengeance and will believe his murders are all justified if she finds out about them tbh.

^Okay I feel like that’s a lot ahdjshsja >.> in LND I wrote her with Rafayel in mind as the endgame >.> Zayne’s more of a bestie/brother/secret third thing, and Xavier… I guess to her he’s a friend but he definitely is in love with her? And Dola eventually becomes aware of that and isn’t quite sure what to do about it.

Gosh anyway!! Thank you for being interested ahdjshsjs she’s been my baby and muse for like… 3-4 years at this point? I have so many thoughts about her like you wouldn’t believe ;-;

“Uh… Hope you don’t mind the extra company today, Monsieur Neuvillette.”

The Iudex couldn’t help but keep staring at the approaching duo before clearing his throat.

“It’s of no issue, Wriothesley,” he says. “I take that there was some trouble with finding someone to care for Dolasach at the Fortress?”

Neuvillette eyes the small child that clings onto Wriothesley’s hand. His gaze is soft, though the lack of a smile seemed to stir some unease in Dolasach as she stares back. Her brows furrow—she bumps into Wriothesley once he stops walking.

He’s reminded of melusines, and suddenly he’s a little less unsure of having her stay with them.

“Oh, careful there.”

Wriothesley looks down at Dolasach and gives her a once over before gently patting her head. She makes a small noise that Neuvillette can’t help but find endearing.

Once he deems her perfectly fine, he faces Neuvillette, a hint of fondness still present in his eyes before the usual professionalism returned.

“Well… Some of the guards volunteered, but Dola didn’t want to stay behind,” he explains. He pats her head another few times. “We were all worried she might start crying if I tried to leave without her, so I just brought her up here with me.”

Neuvillette takes mental note of the new nickname. How delightful—a sign, alongside the child’s clinginess, that the two are growing closer.

“I see. Well, in any case, I’m sure Lady Furina wouldn’t mind her presence while we have our meeting,” he reassures him. “She should be here shortly once she finishes her final appointment for the morning.”

Neuvillette sets down his pen and rises from his seat. He tries not to stare at the child too much as he approaches her. As curious as he is about human children, he didn’t want to scare her—he’s not ignorant of the way some children found his draconic eyes intimidating and intense.

Wriothesley glances between him and Dolasach.

“Do you remember him?” Wriothesley asks her, gesturing at the other man. He speaks to her like she weren’t just another companion of his, though there was a softness to his tone that Neuvilette rarely ever hears. “He’s the Chief Justice, the one who helped me meet you.”

Dolasach doesn’t take her eyes off of Neuvillette as he kneels down to level with her, a gentle smile gracing his lips.

She addresses him quietly, her brows still furrowed.

“Chief Justice….”

“Addressing me by my title is a little too formal for a child,” he says. “You may call me Monsieur Neuvillette. How have you been doing, Dolasach?”

The crease between Dolasach’s brows deepens.

“Mon… Mond-ser….”

“That might be too difficult for her right now,” Wriothesley explains with a chuckle. “She understands Fontainian thanks to her mother, but it seems like they never got to teaching her how to speak the language.”

Neuvillette hums as he watches Dolasach continue trying to say his name.

“Noov… fee-let…”

How cute.

“Her accent is heavily Mondstantian,” he remarks. “And… Admittedly, my name is rather difficult for a child to pronounce…”

“Maybe she can call you ‘uncle’ for now?”

Neuvilette quirks a brow at Wriothesley. He just shrugs.

“It’s what she calls me.”

“Would it not be too familiar for her?”

“Kids like the familiarity,” Wriothesley explains. “Might help with getting her more comfortable around you too, if that’s something you’re concerned about. Doesnt have to be forever, either. Just until she’s a little older.”

Neuvillette turns back to Dolasach.

“If that is the case, would you like to consider me your ‘uncle’ for the time being?”

She smiles, seemingly proving Wriothesley’s point about children liking the familiar feeling.

“Uncle Noovi…”

Neuvillette smiles a little wider. Perhaps he likes it too.
