Hi. My name is doctorcurdlejr and you may recognize me from the Riverdale posts you stomp and spit on like a street rat when they fall upon your dash. I want to take this time to talk about a very important problem that's impacting tens, if not twenties, of people around the globe: The Series Finale of Riverdale (2017-2023, may it find peace in gay death).

For the next few days, a number of LGBTQ+ persons, ones you may even know, will be mourning the loss of their gayass television series. It is with this in mind that I ask you to withhold your deep seated, dreadful, mean spirited, and ugly hearts to show compassion to the fans you stumble across. It is more than acceptable to shrug your shoulders and move on from what you don't understand. I give this warning not only thinking of my fellow fans, but of YOU, random tumblr blogger. These people are liable to whip around and maul you like an attack dog if you choose to insult the show while they observe this truly unfortunate period of mourning.

So, I beg of you, follow the ethos of an 8 year old child and THINK before you curse the name of Riverdale within the next week.

In my larger theory of the town of Riverdale's sentience, the town was always alive but only became sentient (and thus in active control of the denizens and their stories to a degree) when Jason Blossom died. We can see this in the struggle between what the characters want and the cyclical narratives and archetypes the town needs them to play. Examples of this range from the desire to not grow up like their parents to the confinements of "endgame". When characters try to change their story, the town punishes them (this is seen most severely in the time skip, as the core four all leave Riverdale in an attempt to live stories they wrote only for a lot of terrible things to happen to them). The town (as seen post time skip) needs the story to play out or it risks dissolution. Thus, the town exercises its control of the story to stay alive.

In 50sdale, there is no Jason Blossom, and therefore no inciting incident to awaken the town. At first, it seems as though the characters are content to follow the preset storylines that feed the town. But these characters, despite memory wiping courtesy of comet multiverse time travel, crucially have experienced the inciting incident and are no longer compatible with the cyclical story Riverdale (the town) wants to tell. The characters once again struggle against the set path (made all the more black and white by the new setting) but the town is not able to fight back in the same way, and must rely on passive control through social norms instead of the active control exerted in the prime timeline. This allows for the characters to begin writing their own stories, as we see in "Archie: the Musical" ¹. The question now is if this breaking free will result in the decay and ultimate death of the town, or if it will somehow adapt to the changes.

i love gay galo 2 but there is something so intensely bisexual about him n that it is widely picked up on, i love it, galo thymos bisexy real. also his trans swag speaks for itself trigger's next marketing strategy could be putting galo on testosterone bottles and id be like good thats exactly where he's supposed to be. i love all the variations of nonbinary galo but regardless of the nuances of his gender hes always a trans guy 2 me. he has the like crazy 12 yr old autistic girl to transgender man pipeline thing going on its like a we can recognize our own kind kind of thing
