Thornton Legacy

Generation 1 super update - part one

I started playing this legacy recently, with the founder prompted by my friend. I decided I want to blog the legacy, but instead of starting over, I am just going to do a couple of longish Gen1 superposts. I didn't really take any gameplay photos so you're just gonna have to take my word for it on the shenanigans.

Amber Thornton, Founder

My friend's prompt for Amber was just a girl who lives in a trailer park and keeps getting pregnant, so that's where we started, lol

Traits: Loves the Outdoors, High Maintenance, Cringe Career: Culinary

I built a little trailer park in Newcrest for Amber to live in. (Sorry for the build mode outline around the lot, I am lazy.)

Amber met her neighbor, Faiz Jaleel, and they hit it off right away and started dating. She got pregnant pretty quickly, but while pregnant she rolled the want to break up with Faiz, so they broke up.

Amber had her first baby, Ronnie, with Faiz, shortly after the breakup. (This is Ronnie as an adult, obvs.)

Amber's next love interest was Joaquin Le Chien. They actually got married before Amber got pregnant. Amber got a mysterious phone call that she would receive an inheritance if she got married within 7 days. She inherited $100k! While she was pregnant, he cheated on her with Izzy Fabulous, so they divorced. Joaquin took half the money.

Amber gave birth to Desirae shortly after the divorce.

So, I'm gonna go with Desirae Pleasant, Molly Lewis from @generation-simmer Lewis Legacy, Poppy Henley from @lostinsixam The Henley Legacy and ofc the cottagecore queen herself, Lily Summers from @sharona-sims Summers Legacy.

I'm gonna be honest, I think Desirae and Poppy are gonna butt heads but I stg it'd be so much fun. Like watching Mean Girls kinda fun.

Molly and Lily come across as rather level headed so they'd probably diffuse any further arguments but it won't last very long.

Desirae would definitely ask Molly for guidance and advice as she has graduated university. She'd also just wanna hang out with Lily a lot because Lily does crafting and it'd remind her of her moms.

It's me again with another question, because I'm loving reading what you guys put. Now backstory to this, a while back, Lilith did a little four panel comic about an AFK Arena dating sim. I know it was a joke but I stumbled on it again and it had me thinking.

What would an AFK Arena dating sim be like?

You could have so much fun with this. There could be difficulty levels for different characters, different requirements to date them, and even characters that need to be unlocked via secret means. Let me give an example:

Earl Leofric.

We know he is a Hypogean, but to everyone else in Esperia (beside a chosen few) they think he is a Lightbearer. The requirement to date him could possibly be to discover that he is a Hypogean and not a Lightbearer.

Another character: Anasta (Brutus's big buff beautiful mentor)

To date her, you have to not only find her but also earn her trust. You could journey through, maybe have a few battles, and more.

This is just a few ideas but think how much fun this would be! With all the characters, the lore, and just everything! You could make a character, select your sexual/romantic interests or if you don't want to romance, you could choose none. You could even help certain characters get together!

*Cough* ThaneandBaden *cough*

Now since you've all read my rant, thank you by the way, who would you date in a potential AFK Arena dating sim?

I have a few that range from "okay I see why." All the way to "Why do you want to date them? Go to therapy."

Here's a few I would date:

Desira- I like her design and have a weakness for pretty mermaids

Kalene- Once again, pretty lady.

Solise (not awakened)- I like her lore and her design. We could live in a little cottage with a large garden and a library and history would call us "roommates" and "The best of friends" When in reality, we would write notes that say, "My love for you is like a garden, forever growing, lush and beautiful. For you are my sunshine and rain and the very taste of you is sweeter than any nectar~"

Anoki- I love this big bull man with tragic anime backstory.

Anasta- Y'all, when she first came out, I was head over heels. Look at her, she's buff. She is drop dead gorgeous! I want her to pick me up in her arms and carry me away.

Skreg- I think he is cute. I would love to go on adventures and pet the Iron-Jaw.

Antandra- She reminds me of the stories of the Amazons/Valkeries. awwOf these women who were tough and strong and I want to date her.

Flora- I know Celestials get a lot of hate but compared to others, I've always liked Flora. She reminds me of spring and Persephone believe it or not.

And honestly I would date almost all the Hypogeans disregarding a few. Those being, Zolrath/Mezoth/Mehira.

14. who is your current favorite sim?

Well as I said before, I can have more than one right? 

Another favorite is Rylan. He has always been special, close to my heart, a little overlooked to begin with because off everything that was happening with Hayden, and of course when he became princess as well, he just stole my heart completely (I do love them all tbh) and him and River just made him grow so much as a character. And with that he has become a favorite. 

21. how many posts are in your queue currently?

111... now as bad as this is going to sound, for me that’s a little less than normal, there has just been so many other games.. It was over 200 at some point, and the reason I want it back up a bit, just in case stuff happens and so on. I also know if needed I can start it posting once a day which would make what I have last much longer.
