I know you, dad. These people, work people, they just think you're the scary, serious guy with the poker face. But I know the guy they don't get to see. The one on the inside, who's got a big heart.

I don't really have too much to say about the latest episode, other than I enjoyed it well enough.
The case didn't feel like it took forefront in this episode, but honestly I didn't mind because it meant we got a good look into how things are going for Higgy - for me, it seems like Ethan is more committed to a future between the two of him than Juliet is, which makes sense because, you know, Miggy is endgame, but it was nice to see Ethan not pushing the issue and acknowledging that she's not ready (even though she never truly will be with him).
I wish we'd delved a little further into the boys' PTSD in this episode, because I was expecting it to be more emotional than it ended up being. Nonetheless, Thomas helping a fellow Vet is always going to be admirable and something I'll never tire of seeing - his kind heart and spirit always help to make me smile, even if he seemed melancholy at the end (perhaps thinking of whether he'll ever have family like that? I do have to wonder if Higgy crosses his mind, even subconsciously).
Surprisingly, the thing that got me most emotional this episode was Katsumoto's storyline; seeing him navigating his relationship with his son is heartwarming and I'm glad they're communicating and working things out. Plus the acknowledgement of the cops being seen as the bad guys, and the way Gordy deals with that and the corruption of many police officers felt like a really important moment with all that's going on in the world, so kudos for that.
The lack of Miggy was upsetting, because I was hoping we'd get more than just one phone call this episode, but I'm hoping the next one will make up for it in that department. It's looking good so far, from the promo video and pictures.
(Also, from that episode, why do I get the feeling that Juliet will go with him in the season finale but come back in season 4 and explain that Ethan proposed but she wasn't ready? Am I the only one who got that vibe from some of what Ethan was saying??)

I am still 100% convinced that Dennis Katsumoto has gotten himself embroiled with the gangs that Gordon ran into at the beginning. Every episode I watch has me more invested in this theory because no way did those gangs just disappear. They also have it out for Gordon as well.

Gordon Katsumoto?
First impression “You are such a stick in the mud”
Impression now “You’re still a stick in the mud, but you have your reasons”
Favorite moment Any time someone admits in front of him about blatantly committing a crime and he just sighs and says “I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that”
Idea for a story Somehow, Thomas finds out Katsumoto is fluent in Spanish and is just delighted to have someone to talk to in his second language because he has no one else to practice with and he misses it - and it comes in handy during an op where they don’t want people to know what they’re saying
Unpopular opinion While I like Gordon, I really wish more of the story line was less Magnum teaming up with the cops and more of the Guys
Favorite relationship Him and Dennis, and actually him and Lia, because I think Gordon would make an awesome mentor/partner who he has someone else dealing with Magnum’s shit from a legal perspective
Favorite headcanon Katsumoto actually really appreciates how Thomas operates because while Moto is trapped by a lot of red tape and legal intricacies by being a cop, Thomas is a fundamentally good person who understands that the legal and the moral right are two separate things sometimes

No because the silence between Gordon and Dennis is so real, after something like that, like what do you do.

YASSSS! Gordie whooped that racist piece of shit’s ass. His girl was trying to save him but he didn’t take the hint. Don’t resort to violence but never let anyone disrespect you.
