6.What small quirks do they love about each other?:

Reinelyn:🛡️🍎:

Reiner: OH oh he couldn't name anything more endearing even if he spent hours than her intense sense of concern. Like I said before she's a very insightful bigger picture person but that does slip to overthinking in a sense , thing is in cases like that it's a bit blown out of proportions he can't help holding a chuckle and adding "I don't think it works like that/doubt that of all things is gonna have the earth explode" but he knows it's out of good nature so soon enough he's offering a calmer and simpler take on the situation.

In a more specific example let's assume reiny says something with self depracating undertones/implications "I guess that must sound pathetic/nasty/foolish/etc." that gets her to jump right off and deny it with a "no not really! It's not in my eyes at Least...!' The outburst, along with her eyes opening wide like she's surprised maybe she did something that he came to the conclusion that's what she'd think , just gets him him to soften his expression and sigh, with a hint of smile sneaking to his face.

On a physical note , Evy tilts her head often when curious or puzzled about something and once again, this is so goddamn adorable.

Evelyn: Albeit she initially reads it as uninviting and assumes it's better not, she can't help herself gesturing slowly from behind or the side whenever she spots reiny sulking with his arms crossed, staring at something or nothing. When she's there already glancing up, wouldn't budge until he turns his head in her direction or she comes up with a good conversation starter that doesn't feel out of place to make that one faster. Should they be alone that'd even get her to lean her head on his arm-shoulder.like,,,,

Demande: Ah a sweet little example from her core personality trait- one of the times they were seeing each other before the identity reveal they were in a café date. Typically she chose them a window seat, then her eye wandered out down to the sideway there, and spotted a single purple flower growing out of a crack in there. It made her eyes sparkle and stick to the glass to observe it. Something about it was excitement and care about what most people would gloss over, a love for small details and hidden beauty of things. Down to loving the deemed unworthy and unloveable and seeing what's great about it. Also a nice symblism to retaining the best and beautiful parts despite harsh lonely and unfitting upbringing 🤧

Mia: good question ,,, just a sec. So I like to think that for her he's a rather open book, not necessarily in a bad way though; more in a diamond in the rough sense where a person has a good potential but lacks the polishing. Making it easy enough for her to know how to express her way with affection than she'd normally fear (and even better considering he's very encouraging of the methods and gestures. So she decides to use them for him first of all). If that makes sense akfhaujfwjekfb. I think that when it comes down to it, it's since it brings balance and genuinity to this more charming princely side that that speaks poetically and enjoys the finer things. Making him more or less surprisingly approachable and 'human' to look up to and less like an idealized entity to worship. Albeit just about anyone else would be rather intimidated. 🤧

13. How do they express their feelings (Words, visual art, a song, etc.)?

Reinelyn:

Reiner: I'm a Reiner is physical touch love language™ truther sooooo :") Considering the circumstances, throughout most of the story both are being as subtle as possible on expressing it. But it hurts. Still, it gave their interactions a unique tone to them. Normally when Reiner expressed any sort of affection and care with someone, be it on the island or marley(a lot more for the former though) it's rather outgoing and especially through physical touch like bear hugs and headpats. But the alert in her case makes gives it surpsing delicacy, lightly on her hair or shoulder, like something holds him back, which indeed is not to have attention drawn to it- which does raise eyebrows but for their luck not much because it's more about how different the physical expression is here. Also comes the factor that maybe the more delicate and therefore "weaker" it is, the less likely both her and him are to form true attachment considering Y'know it's believed to not meant to last because in a matter of few years,,,

But considering that something about evelyn's character is about the impact of delicacy and vulnerability Unfortunately it does the opposite. and it hurts, they could only do so little it gets them to crave more. Impossible as it is🤧

Ultimately though, by the end with every restriction becoming undone slowly I love to think he finally allows himself to show unlimited tenderness towards her, but with the 5-7 years it took from the moment he met her on the ship back to marley. there's still that touch of melancholy to it, making it recognizable and unique to them and them only. Like before departing when he's heading back to paradis for the third time at the end, their tightest hug yet lasts a few minutes until he has anyone from the alliance notify him they should get moving. And even then steal a few seconds to look until she's out of his eyesight until return. (No he didn't tell her he's marrying her as soon as he comes back WHAT art thou talking about🤧🤭🫠)

Evelyn: What I mentioned in the previous question is a small part of her habit she adapted to come by whenever the time feels right. Like a surprise visit of some sort as soon as she spots him nearby. The core purpose of it is to have a presence that maybe can offer any sort of help, or read if he shows better or worse signs after a certain situation she overhead about during his time back in marley and do something accordingly, or at least give herself time to think what would do. She's a bit drawn back from direct confronting about what brought her (especially when it comes to Rei's life being in a risky position) knowing maybe she doesn't really understand that. But ultimately evy does come to the conclusion she never would if she doesn't at least try 🤧 she's indeed the conversation starter of the two. I also love the idea it's sometimes get her to take a quick sprint in his direction as if being magnetized, assuming she's in a good mood and talking to him would make it even better; but would slow herself down to not draw attention.

For her luck in the epilogue I'm letting her straight up JUMP into that hug ;w;

Demande: He's much an open book and is rather bold on his true view on others- fond, lustful or resentful. And that's especially notable considering his own s/o's reserved Wallflower personality who keeps her own views shut in; he can't help but wish to change it, from what he's seen within her big heart. It's no wonder he manages to motivate her. The poetic choice of words he naturally makes really sells it. From gentle compliments and remarks- how beautiful she appears in anything, hairstyle, dresses, jewelry "rather lovely, wouldn't you agree?" "It looks good on you"; to admire the endearing and passionate yet selfless and thoughtful part of her personality- strong and raw emotions on things, potential, etc etc.

Openly admitting outloud he'd trust her with his life. He's someone who loves receiving these in return too- that's why did he trusted wiseman's fake graces and promises of all his heart desires after all alfjakfjkamf.

Mia: So generally speaking she's a very devoted person with strong emotions within her if it's anything or anyone important to her Although a bit troubled with choosing words to tell, as she feels it can't convey it properly enough.so Brought to the acts From pouring his wine, soothing his pains and clearing his mind, to flapting an bloody to bitter end in a burning area slashing through anything in her way.After being recruited to the BMC one of the abilities she was given was an ability to crystallize thin air (also how she created her weapon). She loves giving it a floral shape and gift it to him whenever they're nearby being tender and intimate. But she also eventually learns to take pride in how she feels for good and bad and find the best ways to word it finally struggling with outbursts of emotions, but she gets better with time, and now they're gentle and endearing admirations of everything he means to her Even. to a point of daring to bring herself confronting enemies violently and furiously.

2. Does your oc have any nicknames? How did they get these nicknames?

Yeup!:D

Amethyst: Her alias as a member of the black moon , ofc after the gemstone. Since all the members are named after ones (canon already having diamond, sapphire, emerald and ruby.)

Now speaking meta; 🤩🤩🤩

The stone's name literally meaning "not intoxicated/drunk". After the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness. Amethyst activates spiritual awareness, opens intuition and enhances psychic abilities. It has strong healing and cleansing powers & encourages sobriety.

Another origin to it in Greek mythology: Amethyst was a young mortal who became the object of wrath of Dionysus after he (by different variations) became intoxicated by wine/ had his affections refused/ was insulted by another mortal; & swore to slay the next mortal to cross his path - creating fierce tigers to carry his wrath. The beautiful young maiden, Amethystos was the mortal. When she cried out to Artemis for help, the girl turned into a white, shimmering crystalline stone to protect her. Dionysus, humbled by her desire/ driven by grief, poured wine in remorse for his actions at the sight of the beautiful statue on the stone, turning it purple. As a result, the Amethyst is often associated with romance, lust and love.

Maid of violets is anofher one she has. More of a supporting title like black lady's "queen of darkness"

Maid for an unmarried woman acting as principal bridesmaid at a wedding. typically of noble birth, attending a queen or princess.

Violets symbolize modesty. According to Greek mythology again, violets were created when one of Artemis' nymphs, was transformed her into one, which in turn led the violet to become a symbol of modesty and devotion as well. (Also connected to the name maria which is what Mia (and ny own name) is driven from 😆💜) they also mean regality, leadership, strength, and grace. imbue the name with an organic spirit, beauty, delicacy, and vibrancy. comes from the Latin word viola, meaning purple.

And another one is "the wallflower" , in universe it's treated in almost derogatory manner, but I find it endearing 🤧 to represent like how she keeps her greatest parts hidden for modesty and knowing her place and not being allowed to grant the greatest parts of herself. And the next question shows this quite literally. Anither quite literally way this is shown is Her hair is almost unnaturally long but she keeps it tied in a way that.shocks everyone so much once she wears it down- even to "how come you don't do it more often?? It's lovely and unbelievable!" but when combed it's drawn like a rose, to symbolize her own true hidden greatness. (And the sad part she's barely being allowed to express it under the current circumstances she initially forces herself to adapt to). That also brings her love to certain things other people's eye wouldn't notice, the unnoticed details. But if I started a demande x mia meta post on how it ties to the diamond in the rough and makes them a great and symblic ship the canon was missing I'll reach the tumblr word limit if there is any.

17. What’s your oc’s biggest aspiration in life? Why?

All in all she's very much a person that loves giving of herself and her best qualities naturally when she truly wants and loves , from small acts to those she knows and to her career, it balances with her self value well often. sometimes it does slip onto the people pleasing territory but she has a certain boundary when noticing it does - that's really under a certain condition of not demanding of her to sacrifice what brings her joy, motivation and allows her to feel pleasant just to satisfy the other party's demands(ex. Her first job). Cuz even suggesting that is an ultimatum for her to he done with it. So long as those conditions are met wherever she is at life, she's content tbh 🤧

20. What does your oc’s bedroom/house look like? How does this reflect their personality?

For as small as the apartment she settled for is she loves decorating it around to the smallest details :3 like me she especially loves adding floral & gemstone related things. Then again that makes her a bit of paranoid perfectionist clean-freak. Smallest thing off place and it implies she's having a certain struggle. But like everything I said ahead suggests, if the detail symbolises balance or lack of- then not likely for most to realize the real problem, or even know there is one. 🤧🤧

Sheesh that's deep I was just basing it in musings I had at the beginning of the year xD. I should get back at the ditched sailor moon rewatch.

12. What's a childhood memory they cherish most?:

Evelyn: a very sentimental individual, who actually believes she took them all for granted and wasted them back then- so the least she can do is cherish the memory fondly.

But one I think about a lot would be a time her father showed her his own ship, just by the time she began elementary school; he told her that in a few years when she's old and responsible enough he'd take her on a trip with it and maybe even inherit it to her when she's fully grown. It was big and impressive for her eyes, of a girl in sheltered upbringing not allowed to leave the safe home (and quite literally, even go outside to the gardens without strict watch. So growing on the unnatural light and limited space of the mansion, as big as it was.)- the idea that in a matter of few years she can finally go wherever she wants. All she needs to do is earn it and do her best and hardest

By the time she reached said age the man decided that for as far as he's concerned he doesn't have a daughter.

Mia: first time she showed someone a thing she drew and they went "well this girl should do so much! Like grow to be an actual artist or something". She's been since forever believed to be meant for great achievements on her own uniqueness... so what's stopping her now...?

Cecille: Honestly,, just about anytime she was reading by herself in the personal libary/ the tree. Rather likely whatever she pulled each time was dark poetry/folktales/myths. On the later's case any weather was a good excuse for her too (outside rains & snows obvy), otherwise sitting by the window.

14.What's the most touching gift they've ever received?:

Evelyn: gold pendant with a stone almost shaped like a heart the color of fire she got as a surprise from someoneee after a certain festival in secret (🤭). Even a certain patient of hers (his name is incoming fic spoiler) noticed and bluntly pointed out a very unusual smile as she kept observing it carefully while wearing it to the last of details. She wears it often as possible and takes extra care of it even in dangerous times, not leaving home without it.

Funny thing you asked... The ending got me to doodle as I type this the reinelyn hug before he gets on the ship to paradis in the epilogue,,, and as I mentioned in one of you previous asks.... a ring might be involved this time 🤭🤭✨

Mia: she's got a lot that'd be for sure, but the two things that allowed her to create her most precious creation were individually given to her by the two most important people in her life, so technically it's like a gift from them both. One is a diamond ring, the other is her crystallizing ability, and the she gifted herself with a protected version of the flower that made someone see the spark in her eye and love it.

Cecille: Nothing exactly. And she tries not to care too much. If anything the ribbon is more of a momentoum just innocently handed to her by her tounger sister the only time they saw each other.

That said, she never threw it.

19.What's a guilty pleasure of theirs?:

Evelyn: working late. Also idk if that counts but adressing people in an overly polite manner even if she's been told casualty is just fine. (Although if they specifically state to hate formalities she'd correct herself)

Mia: ah that'd be romantic films, dressing fancily for casual daily routine (which drags the ask "you're invited somewhere...?" ) And giving Sapphy analogies on self development x"3
