Simplicity. That's what we look for in a #beautifuldeck . A simple structure that serves a purpose without being to over the top. When we start talking about adding 20k rails , and 20k floors ....... you've lost our attention. At @kongarmor we know how to make simple beautiful . ...... We know how to make simple tough . We know how to make simple something to behold. We're #deckarmorpainters #deckrestorationpainters #deckrescuepainters We work with what you have , sure , we can replace things for you. Sure we repair things as well. But our goal is to take what you already own , and turn it into a ultra tough - #armor #encapsulated #dropdeadgorgeous #deck or #structure And we always meet that goal. And what we've found is ; For most people , simple is enough. First Contact: My DeckTechs
Hello Reader (Presumably, anyway). If you got here, you most likely enjoy Magic: The Gathering, and specifically EDH/Commander.
I love talking about Magic. I love playing Magic (Less these days, but any parent of young children will understand, I'm sure). I have a Magic-shaped hole in my life. And, as I'm sure someone once said: If you can't do something, might as well write about it.
Today, I want to talk about my Commander decks, but there is a lot of them. In the Spirit of the 32 Challenge, I'll start at the beginning: White.
The genesis of my White EDH deck starts, funnily enough, with a Red deck. The 2014 Red Preconstructed, Daretti-led Built From Scratch deck. My first introduction to Artifact decks, I quickly, despite the power of the commander, changed the helm with something I was more familliar with: Burn, through the power of Pia and Kiraan Nalaar.
This created a deck where Goblin Wielder, Mycosynth Lattice and Furnace of Rath all worked in harmony to either generate overwhelming value, or dome your opponents to death. I kept that deck for many years, until the release of the Adventure in the Forgotten Realms Set. See, far too often did I suffer the commonplace issue of "Drawing the wrong half of the deck", and mixing the artifact Sacrifice Fodder with the aggressive robots and burn caused too many non-competitive games. Then I saw him, with his Mutton Chops, low Mana cost, and type line not unlike some of my own DnD characters. It was time to split my Pia and Kiraan Nalaar deck in half, one going to the world of Boros, which we'll talk about another day, and the Value-generating, Sacrifice-worthy half landing in White, under the guidance of Oswald Fiddlebender.
Story time over, let's jump into the deck.
Oswald Fiddlebender is, essentially, a Birthing Pod for Artifacts. It means that, for our deck, our curve is essential to ensure we get plenty of value to go up our artifact ladder (Something I failed because there is way too many cool artifacts at MV 4). Let's discuss the play patterns of the deck, the paths to victory, and what might make you enjoy this type of decks.
First of all, Oswald is an Enabler-type commander. You will often play him on turn 2 (Maybe on turn 1 if you have that kind of budget) except in Removal-Heavy pods, and many of your cards are heavily enhanced by having him around. A lot of the low-MV artifacts generate value when coming or going, such as Ichor Wellspring and Prized Treasure, so we can get some things out of going up the chain.
From MV 3 to 5, we're mostly looking at value engines and combo pieces, and over that, we're going for either haymakers and win-conditions, or just Value if we don't find an artifact in that MV slot that fulfills that purpose.
For our Win Conditions, this deck primarily functions as a Combo deck. We have a few ways to get there, so let's look at those.
One of the most straightforward, and least likely to happen, is Darksteel Reactor.
Just wait 20 turns and win. Easy, obviously. In all seriousness, we have a few options that plan on stalling the game as long as possible, and Contagion Engine as our main way to proliferate. It's expensive and clunky, but that's kind of the point of the deck, in a sense.
Most of our other win conditions are tied to Krark-Clan Ironworks, a staple of artifact-centric combo decks.
One of the easiest combo to achieve is, using our Commander'a ability, Myr Retriever > Junk Diver > Krark-Clan Ironworks. While this, by itself, is not a combo yet, this sets up multitude of way to achieve infinite mana with cards like Cloud Key, Semblance Anvil or Slagstone Refinery. You can then use that infinite mana to win in a couple ways, like blowing up the board with infinite castings of Spine of Ish Sah, Darksteel Forge + Nevinyrral's Disk + Mycosynth Lattice, or using your infinite sacrifice loop for a infinite tokens with Summoner's Station or infinitely big dork with Daring Archeologist.
Another Combo-y path is Untappers and Ability doublers for our Fiddlebender. While I don't have Rings of Brightheart in the deck, it would feel right at home here. Using cards like Illusionist's Bracers to double our artifact yield, and untappers like Umbral Mantle and Thousand-Year Elixir to more rapidly progress through our artifact ladder will provide more explosive turns and faster combos. Knoe, however, that the deck can struggle to produce the colored mana necessary for those explosive turns, so focus on Mana Rocks that produce colored mana
Now, my version of the deck is not optimal. There is plenty of cards that would work great in that deck, so let's list a few of my favorite ones.
Mishra's Self-Replicator is another win condition for when we reach infinite mana, and by providing expendable copies of a 5-mana artifact, it allows us to easily reach the top of oir artifact curve through Oswald.
Rings of Brighthearth is a powerful combo enabler, is easily tutorable by our wide selection of 2-drop artifacts, and allows us to spend more colorless mana for more artifacts.
Portal to Phyrexia is a pretty hot addition to our top line, currently dominated by Darksteel Forge.
Since we already have Summoner's Station in the deck, we could go full theme and grab Grinding Station, Salvaging Station, and Blasting Station to have the full combo and win with style.
Altar of the Brood is an innocious addition that would provide us with possibly the cheapest path to victory, mana wise.
If you hate everyone at your table, Possessed Portal is a card that will make that abundantly clear (Fun Fact: It is my understanding that you can still Dredge with this card in play. Do with that information what you will).
That's mostly it for my little tour of my Mono-white Artifact Sacrifice deck, helmed by Oswald Fiddlebender. Hopefully, this will make you interested in trying the deck! I will return with another installement with my next deck in WUBRG order, skipping Blue, and going to monoblack from a Universe Beyond, thanks to The Mind Flayer.

Hifi stereo tapedeck reddit
There are 3 cables – one running to the top control board, and two head cables connected to the mainboard. You’ll find it easier to remove the top chassis bar which is secured by plastic rivets on either side. It lifts up and slides backwards and is removed as a unit including the door. The mechanism is held in by 4 screws – two at the top and two at the bottom to either side. Had there been irreparable damage it is likely this particular machine wouldn’t warranted an article, so the fact that you’re reading this is a spoiler for a happy ending. Amazingly nothing was broken – and even more amazingly, the tiny E clip that secures the capstan in place was still to be found in the bottom of the deck. Thanks to its handling by Hermes there were bits of the mechanism strewn about the chassis, including the flywheel and capstan and parts of the door mechanism. I actually rebuilt this mechanism before any of the pictures were taken. They’re also well-priced and quickly delivered. Mine was kindly supplied by DeckTech, from whom you can purchase quality belts that unlike many of the cheap belt kits you find online are actually manufactured to meet or exceed original specifications for wow and flutter. The mechanism requires a 63 mm x 4 mm belt. The flywheel has no thrust plate, so the belt can be simply unhooked and a new one threaded into place without even removing the mechanism from the chassis. This has to be the simplest cassette deck in which to change belts. There are two motors, one driving the reels via a reduction gear and the other driving the capstan flywheel via the single belt. It is solenoid-driven via the large gear beneath the primary flywheel. The simplicity of this mechanism however is its greatest strength. Lifting the lid reveals mostly a box of air, with a couple of circuit boards, a power transformer and a mechanism that leaves one in no doubt of its production era. In this article we’ll delve into the internals of the machine. Mark has the original model but as far as I know the two are functionally identical. Its features and their operations were covered by Mark Pearce in his 2017 review of his KX-580, which you can read Here. And of course the crowning feature was Dolby S, along with B, C and HX Pro. Based around a chassis more solid than most with plenty of features including automatic tape calibration, music scan, a mechanical tape stabiliser and play trim treble adjustment. This was a last gasp for the cassette format after all.Īnd as last gasps go it’s a good one. There are no mechanical or mechatronic alterations a dual-capstan mechanism would have been nice, as would 3 heads, but alas. This ‘tuning’ extends only to electronic tweaks including Nichicon Muse capacitors, copper bus bars in the power supply and a few op-amp substitutions. The KX-580SE was a special edition tuned for the UK market. I do wish UPS and DPD would increase their spread in this area, so as to rule out convenience as a factor in a seller’s choice of courier and put an end to Hermes rein of destruction and package loss. The prevalence of drop shops make Hermes all too convenient for eBay sellers. Subsequently shipped with Hermes, so some reassembly and repair was required on late receipt. Purchased in mint condition in the original box because the price was too good not to. Herein a tail of Yamaha’s penultimate flagship cassette deck, the KX-580SE.

Arcades Butt Brawl
This week in Brawl we’re playing with Arcades the Strategist
Arcades is a huge excitement for a lot of people, because it is support for Bant walls! Which is exactly what we’re going to play.
Most of our deck is going to revolve around our walls! Most of which come in as a 2 mana 0/4 with defender, and probably an upside? Maybe? Now without our commander these are just going to be big dumb blockers, which isn’t entirely a bad thing! These guys allow us to keep up our defenses during the early game and then overwhelm the competition with some solid stats on aggressively costed creatures. And since we draw a card with every creature we drop, we’re just creating a stupid amount of value.
Now these are not literally walls, but effectively do something similar. These cards help us lock our our opponents. Authority of the Consuls and Kinjalli’s Sunwing help our walls get damage through and slow down the opponent while Baird, Stewart of Argive gives us protection from the crack back. These cards set our opponents back making our incremental value even more portent.
Next up is our board wipes! Because we’re trying to play value creatures, we need to make sure that we can really control the board. BUT because we’re playing LOADS of creatures with 0 power, we have access to some really powerful one sided wraths! Slaughter the Strong can pretty much cripple other strategies at the table, while ours will allow us to keep pretty much our entire board. Dusk // Dawn does the same thing, and helps us recover from someone else’s board wipe.
Lastly, we have our even further value engines! Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive basically reads “Your creatures cannot be blocked”. With the right timing we can basically just slap her down and kill someone even from full health! Mentor of the Meek makes sure we have card draw even when we don’t have our commander out, which is of the utmost importance. FInally, Radiant Destiny can give our whole team vigilance, so we can attack with our huge team and keep them back on defense.
Without any further ado, here’s our list!
1x Aegis of the Heavens
1x Amaranthine Wall
1x Angel of the Dawn
1x Arcades, the Strategist *CMDR*
1x Authority of the Consuls
1x Baird, Steward of Argive
1x Botanical Sanctum
1x Cancel
1x Cast Out
1x Consulate Skygate
1x Deep Freeze
1x Desert of the Indomitable
1x Desert of the Mindful
1x Desert of the True
1x Disallow
1x Divination
1x Dusk
1x Essence Scatter
3x Forest
1x Forsake the Worldly
1x Glacial Fortress
1x Gleaming Barrier
1x Glimmer of Genius
1x Golden Guardian
1x Heroic Intervention
1x Hinterland Harbor
1x Irrigated Farmland
4x Island
1x Kinjalli's Sunwing
1x Lifecrafter's Bestiary
1x Llanowar Elves
1x Meandering River
1x Mentor of the Meek
4x Plains
1x Radiant Destiny
1x Reliquary Tower
1x River's Rebuke
1x Scattered Groves
1x Seal Away
1x Secrets of the Golden City
1x Settle the Wreckage
1x Shalai, Voice of Plenty
1x Slaughter the Strong
1x Sunpetal Grove
1x Supreme Will
1x Suspicious Bookcase
1x Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive
1x The Immortal Sun
1x Tranquil Expanse
1x Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs
1x Wall of Mist
1x Wall of Vines
Tips for play and Budget
The best tip i can give you for playing this deck is don’t just slap down your commander immediately. Since we only have one way to swing with the majority of our creatures, you really want to make it count when you do. If you’re afraid of this happening to you, feel free to throw in some other big bois too!
As for budget options, remember that the core of the deck is pillowfort, so just take all the cheap walls as a pile and cut all the expensive stuff! The deck doesn’t need Disallow or The immortal Sun, they just make it a bit better!
Have a brawl!!

EnchantWorldle 2-card opener update: Pure/Simple & Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons*
pinpoint accuracy on mana values 2-6 (79.6% of all cards)
solid overlap of colors (though no confirmations--a WB or BR card will appear the same as a G one. put your money on the monocolor though)
pinpoint accuracy on rarity (hopefully self-explanatory)
three (super)types and two relevant subtypes (13.4% of all cards wow that's a lot of humans)
divides years i believe as evenly as possible** (7998/7642/7807+)
while i doubt a 3-card success is possible from here outside of luck, i could see 4-card being much more consistent. key word could.
*hapatra may be swapped for temmet, who is remarkably identical in all but color (WU--still ideal). his name is more fun to say but hapatra was my first all-digital decktech so i'm her softie
**by next magic year 2006/2018 is more advisable, in which case muldrotha the gravetide and conjurer's ban do pretty much the same thing except one's a mythic now and the subtype's much worse (18% of the prior card pool--about 2.4% of all cards now. still not horrible i suppose)
oh and cuz i know he's the main guy to be interested i oughta tag @dimestoretajic

I have almost no idea of Yu-Gi-Oh but YouTube has been reccomending some decktech and gameplay and I have learned: 1) nobody mentions prices anywhere 2)all decks are on theme with very especific cards until you get to the extra deck where they just ignore it except for one (1) card 3)every deck tech explains cards quite nicely until you get to said unfanthonable extra deck 4) gameplay is also unfanthonable
That’s Yu-Gi-Oh!
I’ve noticed the price thing a lot as well. Most mtg decktech channels show prices but yugioh ones tend not too. I’m not sure why exactly.
The second point is a bit interesting. Yugioh decks tend to run on two parts, the shell and the engine. The shell is the deck theme. If you’re playing Thunder Dragons then that’s the shell. But the engine is how you get to the point of the shell usually. It’s why decks are named things like “invoked Shadolls” or “ Danger! Thunder Dragons” or “Danger!” + anything for awhile because Dangers were a stupidly good engine.

Tuvasa, Fun-Lit
Tuvasa, the Sunlit
Disney+ got you considering making a my little mermaid deck? How about picking up this Tuvasa deck and using a beefy mermaid to slap down your enemies. We are going to take our favorite fish on a mystical journey, powering her up with a fin-ful of enchantments along the way! As soon as she's made all of her magical GAINZ, we will take a quick swim on over to our enemies and smack them right off the table!
Ramp enchantments
Every deck wants to have as much ramp as possible so we can play all the things we want to play, and being an enchantment based deck we will be using mainly enchantment based ramp (ramp-chantments). First of all for our 1 drop is Wild Growth giving us a touch more green mana from our lands. The 2 drop slot is Fertile Ground which gives us an extra mana of any color. Color fixing and ramp! 3 drops is where we get most of our ramp in New Horizons, Overgrowth, and Cultivate. New horizons and Overgrowth tap the enchanted land for two extra mana. Also Cultivate is just genuinely good ramp so it's an easy addition. And the four drop slot is filled via Dawn's Reflection giving us extra mana and fixing any color issues we may have. Enchantments and lands are a tad bit harder to destroy than artifacts or creatures so you can wager those will be sticking round for most of the game!
7 seas, 7 enchantresses
Tuvasa's sisters are determined to come out to play and they're here to grab us a few cards! We'll
begin our curve off at 2 with Argothian Enchantress, who even protects herself by using having pseudo-hexproof. Our 3 drop slots are where we have the majority of our enchantresses (ie card draw engines). Enchantress's Presence is herself an Enchantment which means we are able get all of the value out of her. Next Verduran Enchantress, Satyr Enchanter, and Mesa Enchantress, all of them are functionally identical in this deck. And to top off our our curve we've got got Eidolon of Blossoms at four. All of those will be drawing a card every time we play an enchantment, and believe me there's a few in this deck. With even a single one of these out each enchantment turns into a cantrip. Each one after this is just raw card gain.
Dark Seas
Time for Tuvasa to start her magical journey and she's going to need a bit of protection. Building a Voltron style deck may be very fragile and nothing feels worse than having your commander destroyed every time it hits the battlefield. Let's start by making Tuvasa genuinely tough to kill. Shielded by Faith makes our little mermaid indestructible so most kill sells can't harm her. Gift of Immortality basically gives her a 2nd life each turn. If she dies she comes back again, and gets the gift again at the beginning of each end step. Bear Umbra, Hyena Umbra, Spider Umbra, Treefolk Umbra, Snake Umbra, and Eel Umbra all give her Totem Armor which means we are able to have our enchantments take the fall for our commander. Each of these enchantments give us some additional advantages, but we really need to have Tuvasa stick round and totem armor works amazingly. Now in case your playgroup is full of sneaky impolite people, even in the case you make Tuvasa indestructible, they could nonetheless get rid of her (having her stolen after which sacrificed after she hits you for 15 does now not sense accurate) so how about we just make it so she can not be targeted. Swiftfoot Boots, even though it's not an enchantment, is an automatic addition here. Canopy Cover, Alpha Authority, Curator's Ward, Shielding Plax, and Archetype of Endurance grant her hexproof so she is safe from our opponents however we can still pump her up with our spells. In case you're questioning why we would skip over Lightning Greaves, it's because this will give her Shroud which means we also couldn't put our enchantments on her. Not something we'd find useful.
Making gainz
time to grow our little mermaid into a swole underwater beast. First of all is our Ancestral Mask, which is the same as Tuvasa's ability except she gets +2/+2 for every enchantment on the battlefield. Getting Tuvasa to 21 power with the mask out is a pretty easy challenge. Then Battle Mastery gives our Commander double strike, so we really just need her at eleven power in this situation. Ethereal Armor bumps up Tuvasa and she gains first strike to get her to survive your opponents trying to block . Arcane Flight, aside from having some of the best artwork in magic, gives her flying and evasion is something we very much want in this deck. We'll finish up our magical lifting session by giving Tuvasa extra evasion by means of way protection from creatures. Spirit Mantle and Unquestionable Authority will pump our commander and make it so she cannot be blocked by opponent's creatures.
Fish are Fiends, Not Food
one of the nice things about underwater adventures is all the friends we make
along the way, and Tuvasa has a lot of friends to help her close out this game. Kestia, the Cultivator can become an enchantment to buff Tuvasa and she draws us more cards whilst we assault our opponents. Sun Titan grabs us most of our enchantments or smaller creatures again and again as or enters the battlefield he attacks. We have 44 non-land cards that may be targeted via his recursion ability so we will probably have many choices for us to choose from. Bring in Herald of the Pantheon and Starfield Mystic every turn to reduce the amount of mana we will need to pay for our enchantments and give us some top notch value with all those enchantresses in our deck.
Value Enchantments
Estrid's Invocation and Mirrormade allow us to not only copy our most powerful enchantments, but also our opponents' because we are the only ones that get to have fun with enchantments in this game. Finest Hour is one of the best cards in our deck giving our commander exalted and we can get an additional combat step (so we will kill two opponents in a single turn). Sterling Grove protects our other enchantments and Sphere of Safety protects us from attacks!
Making Sushi
We always want a few removal and of course we are going to use enchantment based removal here. Oblivion Ring and Prison Realm act as removal to threats on the board and give us with all that enchantment value. And if your opponent tries to go around our blockers with a billion tokens we can wipe them all out with Detention Sphere. No limitless Rat tokens combos for your opponents this time. Nevermore lets us say "NO" to any individual card an opponent runs that simply hoses our deck (ie Aura Shards). And our mass removal includes Winds of Rath, with any luck killing our opponents boards and leaving our Tuvasa ready to take them out.
Deck-stras
Rafiq of the Many is another exalted card to pump our commander and will most of the time give her double strike to help end the game. Replenish will further stop us from losing if a certain one of our opponents blows up all of our enchantments. Dovescape can help slow down our enemies enough for us to take them out, and Rhystic Study will help us draw all of the cards. Finally to help us find the first-rate enchantments in our deck we throw in Enlightened Tutor and Academy Rector so our most powerful cards are always at our fin-tips.
Like this deck? Check out more like it at our site HERE!
