Reasons to love the fic: I am absolutely biased because I asked for this fic. But it's also sooo good. Deucalion finds Scott at home during 3a and uses unorthodox methods of persuasion.

For my fellow Truedmon fans, it really captures the 3a dynamic between them so well. It seems completely like something that could have happened in canon. Deucalion is perfectly creepy, and Scott is just the right amount of defiant and frightened.

“Tango, can you grab me something…” Bdubs slowed as he spoke, suddenly aware of who he was talking to.

“Grab you what?”

“I- nothing. Nothing.” He said while trying to laugh it off.

Tango hummed quietly, looking from Bdubs over to the shelf, then back again. “Why did you design it to be so tall when you’re so short?”

“I am not short!” The dryad squawked indignantly.

“Yeah right.” Tango said as he walked up behind Bdubs, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. “You’re short and adorable, just accept it.”

They could only make a disgruntled growl-like sound as he teased him.

“Gonna get someone big and tall to help you with your own shelf. It’s cute.” Tango almost had a purred to his voice, the same way he always did when doting on Bdubs.

“You are shorter than me, Tango.” He managed to bite back as he wiggled out of his partner’s grasp, turning to look into scarlet red eyes.

“Nah, I’m like an inch taller than you.”

Bdubs tilted his head to the side, looking the netherborne up and down before raising an eyebrow.

“What, it’s only fair that I get to lie about my height too.” Tango said with a laugh.

“Fine, but you’re the one getting out the step stool.”
