My biggest moment from the film: Nooroo finally rescued!! You have no idea how good it feels to know there's a continuity where the little guy is finally given a break and they did what they should of done since S2 ended! Just seeing Marinette drop the Butterfly Miraculous back in Fu's hand sent me such feelings of joy that I honestly had to pause the movie just to freak out over how happy this made me!

I also liked that Nooroo wasn’t shaking in his wings the whole time. He was able to openly criticize Gabriel without fear of the consequences.

One of the many reasons I hate the fate of the Butterfly Miraculous in S5 according to the bible (the first major being how unfair it is to poor Nooroo getting his powers mis-used even longer with no sign of just giving him a f**king break) is that it's just going to be the same song and dance all over again with Lila. I don't care if she ends up creating new Akumas and not re-using old ones! No more Butterfly!! Give us a new villain with non-miraculous powers for a change!!

Yeah, definitely a drawback of having the butterfly reused as the "villain" miraculous.

Part of me thinks this is happening because the way the butterfly (and by extension, the peacock) works allow them to be the easiest to be misused, (read: easiest for someone to not get immediately caught using it) since it doesn't require the user to be on the field. Of course, if the writing team had a few more ounces of creativity in them, it wouldn't be hard to have had any of the current miraculous besides the butterfly ALSO be misused (I've actually read a fic where this is the case).

Plus, with the amount of holes in lore and background of miraculous, they could also just create an out of nowhere threat, like an outside group who took notice of miraculous activity and wanted to seize it for themselves. I mean, if they want me to believe that the Tsurugis are capable of developing highly advanced technology that can trap and abuse kwami powers, then they can pull more out of their ass to give us a completely different form of villainy for the heroes to deal with.

they did it for spider man but tbh i cannot fathom any way they can fix this mess of a wanda. like they doubled down on the shitty white wanda in wandavision, and that was the point of no return because people liked it. even if it happens it'll be like psylocke where the white woman leaves but there's still a mess for normal wanda to clean up. but i admire your optimism 😁

Have to say, Bob's memory vault detailing his Mother's passing is really well done in how..disturbing the implied reason was.

Tia's Greenhouse is a really facinating and somber kind of memory vault for sure, the loneliness it invokes is potent.

The fact Bob's mom seems to have gone thru the same kind of heartbreak he did (I take that picture in the first frame, with the black ribbon, to be one of Tia's late husband) and is basically an example of what could've happened to Bob if he hadn't been found and helped at the time Raz does... it's really chilling.

The last few panels are interesting too. Like in a literal sense the vines are pulling out bottles because that's where she was drinking and hid the bottles. But also is that like? Bob's psychic powers awakening? Or reacting to the energy around him at least?

Is he having a Milla Moment of sensing all the Grief his Mom had been going thru in the same way Milla heard those orphan kids screaming back in PN1? He, Milla, and Compton too actually all do that thing in their memory vaults where they have to cover their ears because everything's Too Loud.

These thoughts have been swirling in my head for a few weeks now.

Depending on the nature of where they've landed, do you suppose a slight time skip will of happend on Remnant when team RWBYJ (and possibly Neo) make it back there?

No. Because Nora, Ren, Oscar, Qrow, and honestly Emerald are all main characters too.

We have exactly as many main characters back on Remnant as there are in the other world. They're not going to spend an entire volume without half the main cast, while at the same time skipping over weeks or months of development for that half.

For fuck's sake, people, when they said "this volume will be shorter" they meant it would be twelve episodes instead of thirteen/fourteen.

"V9 was thought up before V1" If the Volume has a Bumblebee confession/moment, then the naysayers HAVE to stop claiming it was "forced/happend cause it was a popular fan pairing".

Just to toss this in because I think proof is extremely important, here is the video where Miles says that V9 was thought up before V1. (Timestamp: 3:20)

So, to get onto the ask, while I think bumbleby has been planned since the beginning, this particular statement is not necessarily true.

Miles, Kerry, Kiersi, and Eddy are a team, and things are going to be changed and tweaked from the original plans.

Take Neo for example:

She was a VERY last minute addition that Monty inserted into the show without consulting Miles and Kerry because he saw a genderbent Roman cosplay.

She was originally just supposed to be last minute fanservice, but look at her now. She's become incredibly important to the story.

So, even if they hadn't planned bumbleby from the start, they could have made the executive decision to make it canon because they felt that it would benefit the characters and story better.

Again, I think that it's been planned since V1, but it might not have.

I absolutely think we're getting the bumbleby kiss this volume

I also like how the ending paves the way for Mayura to be the central villain for the next movie. Having the Butterfly retrieved and then have the Peacock be the next one to recover while it's used to create even more chaos has a much nicer narrative flow to it! Plus I'm actually a little excited at the idea of Mayura with an army of monsters at her command, or just making far better use of her than the show ended up doing.

Her actually being a bigger badder threat… so good, so tasty

It's kind of funny to think Eggman probably built a ton of cities just for himself. No one else there just him, and a bunch of Badniks and/or E-Series robots running around to give the illusion of a thriving community. Cause if that's all those cities are, then Eggman has far too much time on his hands.

Eggman builds himself his very own Truman Show town populated entirely by robots so he can be the center of attention. Wait this wasn’t supposed to be a Jim Carrey joke

Wanda asking Vision to greet Tommy as "himself" was the kind of heart-warming I look for with this family.

Me too!. This episode had so many amazing moments of them preparing to be parents and then actually becoming parents, but that moment was by far my favorite. Not only was it so sweet, but it also put to rest any arguments that Wanda prefers Vision in his disguise. In fact, this whole show has been incredible for showing just how much they love each other as is, which is wonderful to watch. Now we just have to see where it all ends up.

Good animatic! I do like that PN2 leaves the situation between Ford and Raz not 100% resolved, if we do get a PN3 it'd be nice if we get some more commentary on it here and there.

the evolution of ford and raz's relationship from game one to two is so FASCINATING

If there was ever any continuation I hope it's touched on but not especially focused on, I think Raz has had enough of the familial drama to last him a while I want him to go on funny little spy missions while occassionally making empty threats to kick Ford in the shin while at the same time bragging to him abt how a mission went for that sweet inspiring mentor validation
