For DBH rarepairs week! This is based on a wip that has been sitting in my drafts forever. The wip's endgame ship is the entire jericrew and Connor together, but this scene in particular- where Connor is teaching North to use a gun- is the scene where Connor and North start to get the feels for each other.

(they are also running from soldiers after mutiny broke out among them all following the stand-down order, and the Jericho group is split up.)

DBH RARE PAIRS WEEK DAY 1: Secrets + Sacrifice

RK800 - 60 x RK900 - 87

Nines sits, eyebrows furrowed at his partner. Sixty blankly stares at his open palms, eyes distant.

His boyfriend has been acting odd lately, more-so than usual. When Nines would come home from the DPD, he'd always find Sixty sitting, a frown on his face with the barest hint of pain.

He had asked Sixty about it, wondering if the repairs at New Jericho needed any touch ups. But he'd only get a smirk and words of reassurance in response.

And the most pecuiliar part?

Every time he'd attempt to establish a connection with his partner it would be blocked.

But.

Sixty would just roll his eyes, and comment, "Well, my wiring's fucked. What can you do?"

@dbhrarepairs week, day 2 - Trust

Markus came here to find some peace and quiet. What he didn’t expect to find was Josh.

Maybe they are both here for the same purpose.

“You know,” Josh starts when he notices Markus’ presence. “I haven’t just… looked at the city since I arrived to Jericho. I used to see it all the time from the university.”

And Markus wants to ask; he wants to know more about Josh, but he knows he shouldn’t push for it. There are things that should stay in the past. But if Josh offers the information, he’s going to listen.

After all, that’s why they’re here, right? To make it better for their peers, so they don’t have to go through the same things they had to.

Slowly, Josh rises from the plank and turns around to face Markus. “Things are going to change, no matter what we do today. Detroit won’t be the same place as before.”

“No, it won’t,” Markus agrees, and watches as Josh sits down heavily on the ratty armchair. Markus wonders if he’s finally ready to stop fighting off change.

“I’m aware of what this can escalate to,” Josh says. “I was teaching history. At the university.”

Against his better judgment, Markus asks, “What happened?”

Josh hums, and looks out to the city once more. But before Markus has time to apologize for the intrusive question, he starts speaking.

“It was late; I just finished my last class. I was about to go back to the other building where the android storage area was.” He shakes his head. “Funny, how I never thought about how fucked up our situation was. Anyway. There were three guys. They were drunk. They just wanted to pick a fight no matter what, and I was right there.” He unconsciously smooths a hand over his chest, where – Markus guesses – there’s still a scar or a dent under his clothes. Suddenly, Markus feels an impulse in his wires; he’s overwhelmed with the want to reach out. He doesn’t.

“I’m sorry,” he says instead, which doesn’t sound right, and it doesn’t change what Josh had to go through anyway.

“What about you?” Josh’s dark, intense eyes are back on Markus, and he couldn’t look away, even if he wanted to. “You haven’t said much about yourself since you came to Jericho.”

And Markus knows what Josh thinks as they look into each other’s eyes. Androids don’t come with heterochromia. There’s still a phantom pain behind his eye where the bullet went through. He thinks it’ll never cease.

“I was caring for an old man… he was like a father to me. He died in my arms.” The painful images of that night flash on Markus’s HUD, uncontrollably. “The police thought I did it. They shot me. I woke up in a junkyard. I thought I was going to die.”

He can never forget; never forgets the pain he woke up in, the fear he felt, but something was in him. He wanted to live, desperately so. He thought he was going to die, but he never felt so alive before.

Josh steps closer; so close that Markus is able to detect the steady rhythm of his thirium pump. Cool, tentative fingers touch his hand, asking to open a connection.

And Markus lets the synthskin recede from his own hand and lets himself to be seen for the first time in his life.

DBH RARE PAIRS WEEK Day 1 // May 22nd Connor x PM700 [CON700] + Secrets

Friendly, professional, and helpful, Connor seeks Puma out at the scene of a homicide for simple advice as an excuse to talk to her. However, once humans come into earshot, they must fall back into pretending they're just machines. They have to keep their relationship a secret, after all.

The PM700, named Puma after the P and the M in her model code, briefs the RK800 on the recent murder. The briefing is quick and direct. When possible, Connor and Puma interface by hand to exchange data (only so they can trade a quick android-kiss without anyone knowing).

Relationship aesthetics: Neon blue, moonlight, black metal, ice, the smell of rubber, camera lenses, fingers touching fingers, the first pure darkness of the night, cold breezes, rain, white plastic, the sound of high heels, car hoods; Leather car seats, hands behind back, bare office desks, handcuffs, iron chairs, grabbing by the collar.

Flirting by: Talking in terminology no human in the workplace even understands; Movement of their eyes in regular conversations (such as glancing down whilst briefing each other on a work thing, or staring at each other during meetings); Brushing past each other and interfacing for a split second, which is the equivalent of a quick kiss. Puma tends to stroke his fingers as they pass and that's when the interface occurs <3

PM700 carries the volcanic energy of an underpaid ice-treading customer service worker about to snap while Connor looms calmly in the background of any crime scene.

Though, when given cases to work alone (such as investigating a CyberLife store robbery), Puma and Connor tend to drop their charade.

Script concepts:

Connor: *rolls down window* What seems to be the problem officer? PM700: Get out of my car. - Connor: Don't give her a pistol. Puma: Ooo but it fits so well in my hand! *rapidly fires into the table* Connor: *snatches the gun off her* - Connor: So, what are you doing after work? Puma: You know I don't get off. Connor: … Would you like to? - Hank: I wish I could block people in real life. Connor: Restraining order. Puma: Murder. - Connor: Is four a lot? PM700: It depends on the context. PM700: Dollars? No. Dead bodies? Still no. Connor: Pigeons? PM700: Yeah that's too many

Hello, everyone. On here, I go by lady-eternity, but on fanfiction sites, it’s Lois128. So, I have recently been hooked onto this game called Detroit: Become Human. For the record, I am not a gamer, nor have I played DBH, but I have seen a “few” gameplays here and there. I have also been obssessed with this ship, Connara, but I also respect Luthara. And I also found out that May 25, 2023 is the five-year anniversary of the game. So, in honor of them, I have written two stories, one for Luthara and one for Connara.

DBH RARE PAIRS WEEK DAY 2: Trust + Cold

The snow crunches beneath his feet, soaking through his thin socks. Sixty's arms tighten around his body, countless errors and warnings buzzing in and out of his vision.

The android can see his breath as he stumbles through Detroit. Connor. Fucking Connor- kicked Sixty to the curb.

He finally found out about Cyberlife Tower, the truth.

Sixty would be lying if he said it wasn't deserved. But in the middle of Detroit winter?

What the hell ever- Sixty's got a place to be. Or... maybe a place to be. The address sits in the corner of his vision as he raises a hand to knock. He stands in an apartment complex, first floor, one of the only buildings in this area to house androids alongside humans.

The only place with a soul willing to deal with Sixty. To be fair, this guy's still a stranger. Just because you activate next to a guy doesn't mean you're best friends right?

Either way, he hopes Nines will let him stay, even just for the night.

The android knocks, LED cycling slowly between red and amber. The apartment door opens.

"...60?" Grey eyes blink at the android. Nines' face scrunches up in concern, no doubt having already scanned him top to bottom. Jeez. Buy a guy dinner first.

"Hey..." Sixty gives Nines an underconfident smirk, eyes peering behind the other android.

"Is it, uh... can I stay here? Only for one night, then my ass will be outta here," Sixty's eyes wander, not wanting to catch Nines' expression, "It's just cold as fuck, y'know?" A small smile grace's Nines' lips, momentarily covering up his questioning gaze, "Sure."
