Today, Live! Thaao Penghlis! 🔥🔥

When I met Thaao, he took my breath away. He’s continued to with every meeting since. Thrice Emmy nominated (including last year for Outstanding Leading Actor) for Days of Our Lives, I remembered him well from my soap-addicted daze. I had no way to know that aside from being ridiculously easy on the eyes, with a velvet voice, with that accent! He’s also deep, wise, knowledgeable, spiritual, passionate, talented in oh so many ways, and fun. A delicious human.

Thaao's first cinematic starring role was in John Avildson’s, Slow Dancing in the Big City, followed by Ken Russell's, Altered States, with William Hurt, and as Dame Edna’s love interest in Les Patterson Saves the World. He also played the lead, Nicholas Black, in the television series, Mission: Impossible, and starred in several mini-series, including, Tribe, Memories of Midnight, and Under Siege.

Thaao took the part of Victor Cassadine on General Hospital, where he gathered such a strong following that ABC received thousands of letters asking that they bring him back after his storyline came to an end. Before ABC was able to do that, NBC offered him the part of Count Anthony DiMera on “Days Of Our Lives” keeping him on the popularity charts for another decade and then some.

We'll be talking about it all. Including his passions for travel and cooking and his books, Places: The Journey of My Days, My Lives, and, Seducing Celebrities One Meal at a Time.

Thaao is always super smart, sexy fun! Can't wait!

Monday November 7th 2022, we saw Xander help Ava Vitali kidnap Susan Banks in hopes for a big pay day. Although his return to crime was decision made in hopes of providing Sarah Horton with a better life, could this possibly be the end for the pair when she finds outs.

It's safe to assume Sarah will find out, after all nothing in Salem stays secret and she already has her suspicions over what kind of lucrative "job" Xander mentioned to her. Do you think she'll be able to get past this? Is this the end of their on and off again love story?

Assuming this does split them up, how exactly will Xander move on? Will a reunion with Gwen Rischeck be in the cards? Or could he maybe fall for his new partner in crime Ava Vitali?

Sitting down with Thaao Penghlis is like feasting on 12-courses––each extraordinary, unique, flavorful, and delicious. I was delighted, entertained, and schooled… on history, health, healing, art, travel, cuisine, culture, manners, and sophistication.

Thaao took us through his latest odyssey to discover the truth about Homer’s, his latest commissioned piece of art, and the dinner party to celebrate, Enrique Senis-Oliver, the world-renowned artist who created it, which I did not attend due to COVID fear… crabmeat, filet mignon & rack of lamb, oh my! Thaao spoke of his many world travels, the lands, people, and cultures that pull him, and why… reincarnation, perhaps a partial explanation of some of his passions, his upcoming podcast, and his new book, daily disciplines––habits which enrich and inspire, family, thoughts for his future, and the not so surprising binge or two he’s indulged during the pandemic.

I’d learn a lot more in life if all of my teachers were as easy on the ears, eyes, mind, heart, and soul as Thaao. I could listen to him for hours. We barely discussed his long and successful career, which allows for the big life he leads, because that big life is so damn fascinating. Inspired by his self-care I indulged in a healthy meal post-broadcast, and I’m determined to recommit to my daily meditation practice, daily workouts, and, long-form writing. I’ll be healthier, more productive, and thinner if I imagine––what would Thaao do, a lot more often.

Blessed to have spent the time in his good company.
