Lab Rats Characters as Dog Breeds

Adam: Labrador Retriever or Great Dane. He has the temperament of a Labrador with the size of a Dane.

Bree: Border Collie or Belgian Malinois. I considered a racing breed too but a Collie or Mal would fit her better because they’re a hyper working breed that want to be on the go all the time, they also tend to be pretty independent in their work.

Chase: Poodle, German Shepherd or Siberian Husky. This was a hard one as he has a lot of different qualities. These are some of the smartest breeds on the planet. The husky is an interesting one for Chase because the Husky is labelled as the most cat like out of all breeds and as we know, Chase is not a fan of dogs.

Leo: Doberman. Intelligent, obedient, loyal, brave, energetic. All the qualities I love about Leo that he shares with this breed. Dobes are also pretty goofy. Very playful and funny but definitely capable of murder if needed. Just like our sweetie Leo.

Mr Davenport: Poodle, Bichon Frisé or Chihuahua. Bro is a little b!tch. That’s my only reasoning.

Douglas: he would be a mutt. He shares a lot of different qualities. A good, classic shelter mutt that everyone loves with a brilliant temperament considering what he went through.

Tasha: Dachshund. Don’t come for me for this, I just think she gives off dachshund vibes. She’s funny, playful and loyal.

Eddie: he’s the most annoying little dog you will meet in the park. Yaps at everything it walks past and the owners think it’s funny. Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu. Or he is a cocker poo that the owners think is a purebred. (Sorry, I have just had horrible encounters with these types of dog owners)

New York City Hip Hop Playlist (YouTube)

Started building a unique playlist of hip hop tunes that originated from the city that gave birth to the genre in the first place: New York. Here we have a slate that begins in the party-oriented early 80s South Bronx and progresses all the way through the late 90s into a bunch of raw, underground, hot street rap fire 🔥😎.

So, if you've been following me long enough, you know that my forte with these playlists is to load up on great obscurities, and I've got a bunch here, but I've also got some classic jams as well, all of which come courtesy of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five and Melle Mel. There's shortened versions of two early hip hop cornerstones: "The Message," which was the genre's first ever lyrically conscious hit, and then the anti-cocaine anthem, "White Lines," which Grandmaster Flash actually had nothing to do with, even though Sugarhill Records slapped his name on it in order to help boost its record sales.

But speaking of anti-drug hip hop anthems, a lesser known one from around that same early 80s time period is The Funky Four's "King Heroin," which heavily interpolated The O'Jays' own "For the Love of Money," aka the theme song from The Apprentice (🎶 money, money, money, money....mon-ay! 🎶). "King Heroin" is definitely not a completely unknown song, but in comparison to "White Lines," far less people are aware of it, and in total, it has about 62,000 plays on YouTube across a handful of uploads. Fun, catchy, early hip hop gold as far as I'm concerned.

But once we hit the mid-90s, that's when we really get into some of these underheard Big Apple rap goodies, like a pair of mid-90s boom bap cuts from a Harlem native called Raucous aka Sabotage, who at some point decided to leave an oversaturated US rap market for Germany. 1995's "Say No More" has around 1,100 total plays on YouTube and the Roey Marquis II remix of "No Way Out" from 1996 has about 2,400.

And Brooklyn's own mighty Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey makes an appearance on here too, on a rare remix of N'Dea Davenport's "Bullshittin'," which I'm pretty sure was produced by the one and only J Dilla. Super chilly synth tones on this one that's approaching 20,000 YouTube plays.

And lastly, Manhattan trio Missin' Linx supplies "M.I.A.," a song whose beat very well may have been jacked by Dr. Dre himself so he could release his iconic "The Next Episode" the following year. Both songs utilize the same main sample from David McCallum's "The Edge," but according to WhoSampled, either producer VIC was the first to ever sample the song for "M.I.A.," or one of his collaborators, Godfather Don, was the first to use it for underground New York rapper Scaramanga's "Death Letter" remix. Either way, although "The Next Episode" would come to be hailed as a late 90s west coast rap classic, Dre wasn't the first to sample that McCallum song. And "M.I.A." has about 176,100 YouTube plays while "The Next Episode" has managed to rack up hundreds of millions.

Condolences. The Five Families of New York gather together once more for the funeral of Jacob’s mother. Second and last appearance of Bellamy Young as Adelaide Spratt

Truth will out. Having had enough of Bernadette’s charade. Delaney tells Zoey the truth about everything.

Hogwarts Holdings. Findlay can’t resist sitting in on one of Clyde’s business meetings. Which surprisingly helps Clyde gain a new ally against his sister. Guest starring Rupert Grint as himself.

Five alarm fire. Midseason finale. Part one. Solaris’s life is endangered when the NYFD headquarters explodes two weeks before Christmas with him a sixty other firefighters inside it.

Cases with arrests made in 2021 (pt. 1)

Many cases covered on this blog had some major updates this year--including charges for those responsible for a victim’s disappearance/murder. I’ve compiled a list of 6 cases in which arrests were made during 2021. Here’s a list of the first 3 cases. The second 3 will be posted later.

The kidnapping and murder of Breasia Terrell. Breasia Terrell was just 10 years-old when she vanished in Davenport, Illinois on July 10th, 2020. She vanished while spending the night at the home of Henry Dinkins. Dinkins is the father of Breasia’s half-brother--and in July 2020, Breasia had decided to tag along with her brother to an overnight trip to Dinkins’ house. Dinkins is also a registered sex offender--however Breasia’s mother was not initially concerned because Breasia had known Dinkins her whole life. However, when Breasia did not return home, her mother began to worry. Dinkins repeatedly denied any knowledge of Breasia’s whereabouts, but he remained the prime suspect for months. During March 2021, Breasia’s remains were found by a group of fisherman in a pond in DeWitt. About a month later, Dinkins was arrested and charged with kidnapping and murdering Breasia. His charges are currently pending. 

The disappearance and presumed murder of Suzanne Morphew. Suzanne Morphew (49) vanished from her family’s home in Maysville, Colorado on May 10th, 2020. The mother-of-two was reported missing after her bike was found abandoned on a path near her home. In the weeks and months that followed Suzanne’s disappearance, suspicions began to build against her husband, Barry Morphew. The investigation revealed that Suzanne and Barry were having marital issues at the time of her disappearance. Additionally, detectives noticed many inconsistencies in Barry’s alibi. In May 2021, it was announced that Barry had been arrested and charged with Suzanne’s murder. He was also charged with attempting to influence a public servant, and tampering with evidence. Barry is currently out on bail as his charges are pending. Suzanne’s body has still not been found. The disappearance and presumed murder of Jepsy Kallungi. Jepsy Kallungi has been missing since March 21st, 2019. The 26 year-old woman was last seen in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she lived with her husband Dane Kallungi. Jepsy moved to Colorado from the Philippines in 2017, after meeting Dane online that same year. After Jepsy vanished, suspicions immediately fell upon Dane--especially after he dodged questions from her family members. He eventually told investigators that he and Jepsy had separated shortly before her disappearance, and that he believed she had run off with a man with whom she was having affair. However, throughout their investigation, detectives found evidence that pointed to Dane’s guilt--including a phone call in which Dane confessed to strangling Jepsy during an argument before disposing of her body. Dane was eventually arrested during June 2021 and charged with Jepsy’s murder. Despite his confession, Jepsy’s remains have still not been found.
