oh my god I just suddenly understood musicians. OK, clarification: art is art but being able to do words is not the same as being able to do painting/drawing or whatever. I’ve got close family and friends and an ex who were/are all artists of some sort -- but none of us fully “get” each other. We can understand the passion! But not the art, or even what makes the art appeal to the other. I go to plays and they can be fun! But they don’t give me any lasting joy. I try to sculpt clay and it’s fun but I’m not feeling it, except superficially. I dance and people laugh, but even when I loosen up enough to actually dance well it’s just fun. I don’t feel God, the way I do when I write sometimes.

Musicians have always been especially hard. Like, I enjoy music, but it’s just pleasant noise. I cannot feel the world through it. It’s just So fiddly, sound. Who would even think to make art out of it? But just a minute ago I fell into myself and felt music move past me. Like being in the barrel of a gun and sliding along the grooves. I was moving through it, spiraling, and everything moved together with me to create this perfect moment of flow and tone and pulse. I got it. Music is fucking amazing. When all the parts come together? There’s nothing more sublime or sensuous. God was there, like, whassup. Now I get it, and I get people who are double/triple/etc artists, which also felt weird to me -- like, if your brain is shaped to think perfectly about one thing, why split that? Now I know that it’s not a split! It’s a whole different shape, complete in itself! there are Writers, Musicians, Vis Artists, Dancers, etc, and also Writermusicians and Dancerpainters and sometimes even Dancerwriterpainters I guess we can call them multisHOLY FUCK WHAT IF SOMEBODY HAD ALL OF THE ARTS?! IS THAT WHAT GOD IS WATCHING FOR???

Nobody can handle all of them. But the multiartists are powerful, and must be watched. I am watching you, @joasakura.

Oh shit tho if I “get” music now does that mean I am becoming a multi? No! I can’t handle that much power. But if it is a mutation then I’m just gonna have to adjust. Or I can fight it. No singing! Well, I suck at that anyway. I must never again attempt to take up an instrument! I forgot how to read music mostly so I think that will help,

My god this is a potential YA series isn’t it. Ugh I don’t have time for it somebody else write it.
