if *I* were to make a dragon age calendar id probably go with a solar calendar, sure, or a harvest/seasonal calendar since most of Thedas seems very season-dependent.

The official stuff does say they have four seasons and 365 days but that's boring. Let's have some fun.

Thinking in terms of, this is a fantasy world with two moons and a sun, and technically a non-earth planet, the calendar could move slower or faster, and the seasons and axis could be different from earth.

Also, the fact it has two moons... One, as we see in The Hissing Wastes, is huge. Or rather, very very very close to Thedas. It probably causes lots of very strong tides and storms on the waters nearest to it on the other side of the world, but I also don't know where it moves, and if it gets farther away at different times of the year.

Satina, according to DA lore, is the specific moon that is celebrated. I don't like the "Satinalia" obvious Saturnalia reference so maybe calling the celebration Satinatum or similar if its based off Tevinter (and therefore a filtered/bastardized Roman Latin thing happening). They should probably also name the other moon.... There could probably therefore be Two special celebrations of the moons.

The "seasons" they seem to primarily talk about and experience are: Winter, Summer/Harvest, Rain, Funeral(?). The occasional references to Summer but Summer and harvest season are sometimes in the same breath.

I think/assume the Rainy season is in between Winter and Harvest, and Winter marks the beginning of their year.

Winter -> Rainy Seasons (everything is melting and is wet) -> Harvest (things have grown from the rain, time to harvest before Winter, and mixed in a bit of rebirth symbolism for funerary and other rites).

Each culture could have a slightly different calendar, but with Tevinter colonization it could have converted many over to the Tevinter calendar.

Because of the obvious Roman Latin influence on Tevinter, we can probably bastardize some Latin for flavoring up the names.

Maybe something like, Glacelis, Luvelis, and Messis (ice, rain, harvest, loosely).

OK so we have 3 seasons now for general Thedosian peoples.

We can probably keep 300 days, but rather than make it exactly like earth's 365, we'll give it a good round number. Just 300 sounds fine. 3 seasons, 100 days each. 100 days split in 2 is 50, split those 2 more you get 25.

You can still have 12 "months" by making them 25 days each. maybe, every end-month is a 5 day celebration, and the extra special 5-day celebrations are the liminal weeks at the end of a season.

DA wants to have 5-day weeks so it works out that way anyway.

If you want to really get fucky with etymology, we could change "week" to something else (but its not necessary since "week" just means "a set").

1 round of the sun = 1 day/dae. 5 days = a Daeset 5 Daesets = 1 Solset 4 Solsets = 1 Season Final Daeset at the end of a Solset = Feast Days

Not changing too much bc you'll accidentally invent a whole language + it still needs to be understandable to like. Players. lmao.

Thedosian Solsets: Wintermarch, Guardward, Dragonwatch (Or Drakonfound*), Cloudreach, Bloomtide, Justiniapoint, Solacement, Andrasteworth, Kingsway, Harvestmere, Firstfall, Haringrise

*Drakon was one of the original founders of Andrastean, the original month was called Drakonis but welt somewhat out of place name-wise. Likewise, it's usually good (and historically accurate) to rename things that are similar as means of easier conversion, so an old Thedosian name for the month could be Dragonwatch (perhaps a time of dragon mating season or hunting etc?) be renamed to Drakonfound. Also I just liked having a giggle at "Dragon Watch... Dragon.. FOUND"

You could also divide it evenly via weeks/daesets. There would be a total of 60 daesets, and thus still 20 daesets per season if you want to divide it perfectly even (100 days each season still), but if you make daesets only 3 instead of 4 or 5, that makes an interesting number.

15 daesets in one seasons could equal 3 solsets/months, with 1 daeset of celebration at the end of a season instead of one at the end of each solset. That would therefore make 9 total solsets instead of 12 (and frankly I think the last 3 months of the original DA calendar feel/sound kind of useless to me).

So that would make, instead: Glacelis: Wintermarch, Guardward, Drakonfound Wintersend Celebration Luvelis: Cloudreach, Bloomtide, Justiniapoint Harvestmere Celebration Messis: Solacement, Andrasteworth, Kingsway Day of immolation*

*A celebration to send off and honor lost souls, rather than "All Soul's Day" the way it was originally named. It's obviously supposed to be All Souls, Dia de los Muertos, Halloween, etc shoved together with costumes and funerary rites. Initially it's intended purpose in DA is to honor Andraste's burning. I would probably liken it to those kinds of celebrations where you burn an effigy, like The Burning of Zozobra.

Taking that into consideration, I think the Immolation would be a sort of thing where you burn old things you don't need/want, burn things for luck, burn prayers to reach The Maker or Andraste, etc. It would also be culturally relevant since in my new calendar it marks the start of Winter, so burning fuel to stay warm fits secularly (such as the many fire-associations during Christmas and our other real-world winter holidays)

Renamed a few other months just to sort of keep the flavor of how the months are named.

I assume the Avvar being Norse-based have a sort of two-season Winter-Summer split calendar, or perhaps because they are a more animistic they could have a calendar based on animal hibernation and migration, which may sound like it'd be the same but they could have ever so slight variances. Perhaps they would have months called Crowsflight, Bearsleep, Beespring, etc. I'd have to do more research on where, exactly, Avvar live and what the wildlife they have near them are.

The solsets could be used to keep track of the seasons, but I don't see why there couldn't be lunar calendars for Thedosians as a whole, sort of like the two calendars in mexica, a sun calendar and a ritual calendar. Certainly I assume at least a few cultures would have them, there are two moons. That feels culturally significant. There is supposed to be a special holiday to celebrate just one of the moons. Maybe there are two separate sets of lunar calendars for different holiday celebrations.

I would also wonder how the moon phases differ from one another, and if it is possible to track when they are the same, or if they eclipse one another. I'm not as knowledgeable on lunar calendars so I'll have to look at real world lunar calendars to see how they divide months, years, celebrations, and maybe things I havent thought of (if I ever feel the feverish need to do this again haha)

Anyway, I got tired but here are my zany thoughts about dragon age calendars.

He’s Mine - Chapter 14 (Yoonmin ABO Hogwarts AU)

Chapter 14 - The Championship Preliminaries

Loud cheers erupted from all around the Quidditch Pitch that had been modified to hold a giant stage in which the participants of the Hogwarts Annual Dueling Championship would be dueling on while protection spells surrounded the bleachers in order to ensure that stray spells wouldn’t be able to harm the students, parents, and the teachers. Classes had been cancelled for the week in order for the students to fully participate and celebrate the competition with their friends and families.

Jimin had spent the entire day yesterday watching Yoongi practice dueling with his a training dummy, awestruck by how fast and quickly the Alpha was able to disarm and destroy the dummy. Then he was given the task of waking the Alpha up early so they could head over to the pitch earlier in order for Jimin to get a good seat and so Yoongi could join the other participants. Yeah, waking up Yoongi was a lot harder than Jimin thought to say the least; Jimin tried almost every method he knew from past experiences of waking up Taehyung and Jungkook, pouting when he failed until he finally gave up and straddled the Alpha as he demanded “If you don’t wake up, Alpha, I’ll find another person!”

In a flash, Yoongi had him pinned under the older’s body while hungry lips captured his own plump ones in a brutal kiss, making him dazed from the attack. Breathing heavily, Jimin blinked and smiled innocently up at his Alpha’s unamused face, cooing cutely “Good morning, hyungie!”

“Good morning to you too, my love.” Yoongi murmured back, kissing his Omega gently this time then getting up to use the bathroom. While Yoongi was in the bathroom, Jimin dressed himself in warm clothes, picking out a random long-sleeved shirt and skinny jeans to go with his Converse then topping it off with a big fluffy sweater. He jumped when Yoongi’s arms wrapped around his waist and the raspy voice he came to adore whispered “You’re so beautiful, Minnie. I’m honored to be your Alpha.”

“Hyungie, you’re making me blush.” Jimin whined, bringing his sweater paws up and hiding his face from his Alpha. Yoongi only chuckled and pressed a kiss to Jimin’s blonde locks before releasing the younger from his arms to get dressed. Since he was participating in the competition, he decided to wear a regular black long-sleeved shirt and black skinny jeans with his favorite pair of combat boots. As a wolf shifter, his body heat was a lot higher than a normal person’s so he would be fine without a jacket but he frowned when he saw that Jimin wasn’t wearing a jacket, asking worriedly “Baby, are you sure you’ll be warm enough with just a sweater?”

“Huh? I should be okay, hyungie. It’s not too cold outside, is it?” Jimin answered, looking over himself. Yoongi’s frown only deepened, reaching into his closet to bring out a black trench coat and draping it over Jimin until the younger slipped his hands through the sleeves while Yoongi buttoned him up. Bringing the sleeves closer, Jimin sighed contently at the scent of Yoongi surrounding him. Looking up adoringly, Jimin mewled happily when his Alpha kissed him again gently.

“There, now my baby won’t get cold.” Yoongi murmured, lacing their hands together then leading the younger out of their quarters and to the Great Hall, where the house elves brought them their breakfast. After breakfast, the two of them walked hand-in-hand to the Quidditch Pitch, where Jimin darted up to sit in the Slytherin bleachers while Yoongi went straight to the middle of the pitch, where the stage was. Jimin blushed a bright red and hid his face in his sweater paws when Yoongi turned and winked at him with a sly smirk, knowing very well what the Alpha was smirking about.

Before long, the other participants arrived with the students and teachers. Taehyung and Seokjin joined Jimin in the Slytherin bleachers, waving to their Alphas and Hoseok who were joining the other participants. Almost an hour later, parents began arriving and Jimin couldn’t help the gasp that left his lips when he finally saw his Alpha’s parents after Taehyung pointed the couple out to them. As if sensing his staring, Yoongi’s mother turned to look at him curiously then winked at him, making him “eep!” and hide his face in mortification. All the parents went to join the professors in the Faculty Box then Headmistress McGonagall finally started the competition, using the Sonorous Charm to amplify her voice “Ladies and gentlemen! It is with great pleasure that I announce the start of the Hogwarts Annual Dueling Championship! First, we have the Preliminary Rounds in which the winner will then move on to the Semi-Finals. The winners of the Semi-Finals will then compete in the Grand Final in an all-out brawl! As per usual, the first place winner gets the prize of 300 Galleons and the Championship Trophy! Second place will get 150 Galleons, and the third place gets 50 Galleons. May the best dueler win!”

The first preliminary round was over before Jimin could blink with Park Chanyeol winning in less than 5 minutes and a single spell, making the Ravenclaws and Baekhyun cheer loudly. To his surprise, he joined Taehyung and Jin in betting on who would win in the preliminary rounds when they became bored of the duels while Jin provided the best commentary Jimin had ever heard with lines like “I’m pretty sure my great-grandma can duel better than him” and “Can you hurry up? I feel like I’m turning 100 years old just by watching you!”

Jimin joined in cheering for Namjoon and Jungkook when it was their turn, and was stunned into silence when it was Yoongi’s turn, who turned and smirked at Jimin again. To his surprise, Professor Snape’s voice announced dryly “And now, ladies and gentlemen, the reigning champion of the Hogwarts Annual Dueling Champions! Min Yoongi!”

Yoongi’s parents began cheering with Taehyung and Jin when Yoongi’s round started. Jimin watched fascinatedly as his Alpha seemed to just stand there until his opponent shot a spell at him. Then, Yoongi began shooting spells back ten-fold until his opponent finally yielded, making Yoongi’s parents cheer even louder. Once the preliminaries were done, Jimin dashed out of his seat to launch himself into Yoongi’s arms as he squealed “You were amazing, hyungie!”

“Thank you, love.” Yoongi murmured, kissing Jimin’s forehead then asked somewhat nervously “Are you okay with meeting my parents right now? My mother really wants to meet you.”

Jimin bit his lip then nodded, lacing his hand with Yoongi’s and bringing his other arm up to hug Yoongi’s arm as the Alpha lead the two of them to his parents. When they arrived, Jimin squeaked when Yoongi’s mom pulled him away from his Alpha and cupped his face in her dainty hands while squealing “Honey! Honey! Look how adorable our son’s mate is!”

Shyly, his eyes flicked over to Yoongi’s father who was watching them with amused eyes as he said “Ji-Hyo, my dear, you’re going to make the boy explode if you keep squishing his cheeks like that.”

Yoongi’s mom released his cheeks, letting Jimin move back to the comfort of Yoongi’s arms. Smiling slightly, Yoongi introduced his parents “Chickie, these are my parents - my dad, Min Dae-Hyun, and my mom, Min Ji-Hyo.”

“Hello, I’m Park Jimin. It’s nice to meet you, abeonim and eomonim.” Jimin greeted them shyly, lacing his hand with Yoongi’s and hugging the Alpha’s arm again. Yoongi’s dad nodded approvingly at him while Yoongi’s mom cooed at how adorable they were and what a cute couple they made. Yoongi already knew that his parents approved of Jimin, especially after he had sent them a picture of Jimin and him cuddling in bed, but it felt good to see their approval in person.

“We like him, Yoongi-ah. Bring him home sometime for dinner, okay?” Yoongi’s dad asked, smiling warmly at Jimin and making the young Omega smile back. Yoongi’s mom pinched his cheek again then kissed both of their foreheads before waving goodbye. Once his parents were gone, Yoongi cupped Jimin’s face in his hands and gently rubbed Jimin’s abused cheeks then kissed him gently, murmuring apologetically “I’m sorry about my mom, she has a bad habit of squishing things.”

“It’s okay, hyungie. I’m just glad they like me.” Jimin replied back, smiling sweetly. He tilted his head curiously when Yoongi snorted “My parents don’t just like you. They absolutely adore you, my mom told me she expects wedding invitations soon.”

Jimin’s eyes widened at the news, his cheeks flushing brightly. Yoongi laughed at his mate’s adorable reaction, drawing the Omega into a hug as their friends came to join them.

1. She Was Pretty

Can you over-romanticize a cherished memory from childhood? Ji Sung Joon (Park Seo Joon) was a shy, porky kid who was constantly teased by the other kids for his rotund shape. When he transfers to a new school in fifth grade and meets Kim Hye Jin (Hwang Jung Eum), the prettiest, most popular girl in school, his life turns around. The kind-hearted Hye Jin becomes his only friend and protector — and they become each other’s first love. But then everything changes when Sung Joon’s family immigrates to the United States and then Hye Jin’s father’s business goes downhill, plunging her family from their previous wealthy lifestyle. But that’s not all! Hye Jin’s beautiful looks initially took after her mother. But as soon as Hye Jin hits puberty, her father’s genetic skin condition takes hold and leaves her with reddish facial scars that makes her resemble a raccoon. 2. Descendants of the Sun

Some relationships are fated, despite the challenges of time and place.

Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki), the leader of a Special Forces unit, meets trauma surgeon Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) in a hospital emergency room after Shi Jin and his second-in-command, Seo Dae Young (Jin Goo), chase down a thief on their day off.

Shi Jin is immediately smitten with Mo Yeon, and he asks her out on a date. But Shi Jin keeps getting called to duty when he is with Mo Yeon, and the two also realize that they have conflicting views about human life (he will kill to protect his country and she has to save lives at all costs). They decide to break off their budding relationship as a result.

Dae Young also tries to break off his relationship with Army doctor Yoon Myeong Ju (Kim Ji Won) because her father, Lt. General Yoon (Kang Shin Il), thinks Shi Jin is a better match for his daughter.

Shi Jin and Dae Young are then deployed to the fictional war-torn country of Urk on a long-term assignment of helping the United Nations keep peace in the area. After repeatedly being passed over for a promotion because of her lack of connections, Mo Yeon gives up performing surgeries, loosening her principles somewhat to become a celebrity TV doctor and caring for VIP patients at the hospital. But when she refuses the sexual advances of the hospital chairman, Mo Yeon is picked to lead a medical team to staff a clinic in Urk! There, Mo Yeon unexpectedly reconnects with Shi Jin.

3. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young) comes from a long line of women possessing Herculean strength. But Bong Soon can only use her strength for good; if she uses it for her own personal gain or to mistreat others, she can lose her strength forever like her mother, Hwang Jin Yi (Shim Hye Jin). Bong Soon’s twin brother, Do Bong Ki (An Woo Yeon) did not inherit the unusual family strength and is a doctor, but Bong Soon has trouble finding gainful employment as an aspiring game developer.

When Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik), the young CEO of AIN Software, a gaming company, witnesses Bong Soon’s amazing strength against a group of gangsters one day, he hires her to be his personal bodyguard to help him catch a man who has been making death threats against him. Bong Soon has a secret crush on her childhood friend, In Guk Doo (Ji Soo), a police detective who is trying to capture a dangerous kidnapper in Bong Soon’s neighborhood. Can Bong Soon help both men track down the culprits?

4. While You Were Sleeping

A young woman with bad premonition dreams meets two people who suddenly develop the same ability.

Nam Hong Joo (Suzy) lives with her mother, Yoon Moon Sun (Hwang Young Hee), a widow who runs a small restaurant. Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk), a rookie prosecutor, and his younger brother, Seung Won (Shin Jae Ha), move in across the street. Since she was young, Hong Joo has had the ability to see bad events before they happen, but she is often unable to do anything about it.

One day, Jae Chan has a strange premonition dream about an accident involving Hong Joo and Lee Yoo Beom (Lee Sang Yeob), a ruthless attorney who used to be Jae Chan’s tutor. Jae Chan decides to interfere in the course of events and ends up saving the lives of Hong Joo and Han Woo Tak (Jung Hae In), a young police officer. When Jae Chan, Hong Joo and Woo Tak then start having dreams about one another, they realize that their lives are now somehow entwined.

But can the three discover the reason that they were brought together, and can they prevent the people closest to them from getting hurt?

5. Just Between Lovers (Rain or Shine)

A building collapse ties the fates of three young people years later. Ten years ago, the S Mall collapsed due to shoddy construction, killing 48 people inside.

Ha Moon Soo (Won Jin Ah) was there with her younger sister, who perished in the accident. Lee Kang Doo (Junho) was there waiting for his father, who was an electrician doing work on the building. Seo Joo Won (Lee Ki Woo) was helping out his father, who was the head engineer of the building. Moon Soo, Kang Doo and Joo Won survived the horrible accident, but their loved ones did not.

Years later, Joo Won is an architect who is working on a new project to replace the former S Mall. With her keen eye for detail and sturdy building construction, Moon Soo ends up working for Joo Won on the project. Kang Doo works odd jobs to get by and ends up working at the new construction site.

How will they each deal with their respective pains as they are reminded of the event that changed all of their lives so profoundly?

6. Father Is Strange

This is one of those things that can disrupt a seemingly normal family. Byun Han Soo (Kim Young Chul) lives on the outskirts of Seoul with his selfless wife, Na Young Sil (Kim Hae Sook). Their bustling lives center around his small diner, “Daddy’s Snack Shop,” and their four adult children, Joon Young (Min Jin Woong), Hye Young (Lee Yoo Ri), Mi Young (Jung So Min) and Ra Young (Ryu Hwayoung).

Joon Young tries not to disappoint his parents as he has been unable to pass the civil service exam for five years. Hye Young is the most accomplished as a successful attorney who has an on-again, off-again relationship with Cha Jung Hwan (Ryu Soo Young), a television producer-director. After years of trying to land a job, Mi Young finally lands her dream job as an intern for Gabi Entertainment, only to discover that her high school bully, Kim Yoo Joo (Lee Mi Do), works there as a team leader. Ra Young works a yoga instructor and falls for Park Cheol Soo (Ahn Hyo Seop), who has absolutely no interest in returning her attention.

The close-knit Byun family is thrown into turmoil when Ahn Joong Hee (Lee Joon), an idol-turned-actor, shows up one day and claims that Han Soo is his father. Joong Hee is widely ridiculed by netizens as a robotic actor, but he is determined to earn respect by landing a role in a highly anticipated miniseries about a father-son relationship. But in order to conjure the emotions needed for the role, Joong Hee decides he needs to get to know the father he believes abandoned him and his mother 35 years ago.

Will Joong Hee’s appearance threaten to reveal a deeply buried secret and otherwise disrupt Han Soo’s happy family life?

7. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

What else could there be to life than barbells and heavy weights?

Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung) is a weightlifting phenom who has only focused on barbells her entire life while growing up with her father, Kim Chang Gul (Ahn Gil Kang), is a former weightlifter. She attends Hanwool College of Physical Education, a university full of top-notch athletes who are driven to succeed in the hopes of representing their country in national and international competitions.

Bok Joo went to the same elementary school as Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) but reunites with him in college. He is now a competitive swimmer who is having trouble recovering from the trauma of being disqualified for a false start in his first international swim competition.

Song Shi Ho (Kyung Soo Jin) is a fiercely competitive rhythmic gymnast who won a silver medal at the Asian Games when she was 18, but the pressures of her sport drive her to break up with Joon Hyung. Bok Joo’s tunnel-vision life starts to change when she falls in love with Joon Hyung’s older cousin, Jung Jae Yi (Lee Jae Yoon), a former athlete who became an obesity doctor after suffering a career-ending injury.

Will Bok Joo learn that there is more to life than weightlifting?

8. Queen In Hyun’s Man

Every actress hopes that an opportunity will come along to play an iconic role that could bring her out of obscurity and make her a star.

For Choi Hee Jin (Yoo In Na), that opportunity is in a television drama playing the role of Queen In Hyun (Kim Hae In), who was deposed during the Joseon Dynasty as King Suk Jong’s (Seo Woo Jin) consort by the scheming actions of Lady Jang (Choi Woo Ri). But Hee Jin’s modern-day world collides with that of her character in ways she doesn’t fully understand.

Kim Boong Do (Ji Hyun Woo), a scholar from the Joseon era, is mysteriously transported 300 years into the future to modern-day Seoul and comes into Hee Jin’s life as she is preparing for her career-making role. Boong Do not only knew the real queen but also supported her reinstatement.

Was Boong Do brought to the future to help Hee Jin bring some authenticity to her role as the queen?

9. Madame Antoine

Can a very observant woman outwit a psychotherapist? Go Hye Rim (Han Ye Seul) operates the Madame Antoine cafe on the first floor of a building that also houses a famous psychotherapy clinic on the top floor. Hye Rim uses her keen intellect and heightened senses to also work as an adviser to psychotherapist Choi Soo Hyun (Sung Joon). But unknown to Hye Rim, Soo Hyun is running a top-secret experiment on her “ideal type of man” with the help of his younger half-brother, Choi Seung Chan (Jung Jin Woon), and clinic employee Won Ji Ho (Lee Joo Hyung). Kim Min-kyu (Yoo Seung-ho) lives an isolated life due to a severe allergy to other people. He develops extreme rashes that rapidly spread throughout his body once he makes any form of skin contact. Jo Ji-ah (Chae Soo-bin) is a woman who is trying to make it in life by creating her own businesses. However, after an encounter with Min-kyu, she ends up pretending to be a robot in place of the supposed Aji 3 robot. The Aji 3 robot was developed by Ji-ah's ex-boyfriend, professor Hong Baek-kyun (Um Ki-joon) and his team. The robot was meant to be tested by genius Min-kyu, however an accident caused the robot's battery to malfunction. As Baek-kyun modeled the robot after Ji-ah, the team ends up recruiting her to take the place of Aji 3.

15. Because This Is My First Life

House-poor Nam Se-hee (Lee Min-ki) and homeless Yoon Ji-ho (Jung So-min), both unmarried in their thirties, start living together as housemates.

"Some of these turtles look really old." You say looking over the aquariums as you walk out of the crime scene.

"That's because they've been around for a looong time." Spencer smiles before starting his whole spew, "There's a reason why turtles look a little prehistoric. The first ever specimens evolved around 260 million years ago in the late-Triassic period. Luckily for the turtles, their burrowing and water-dwelling habits set them up for long-term survi—" Spencer bites on his tongue when Derek gives him a look. He can't help but feel frustrated, now you probably found him annoying and talkative.

Spencer mumbles a sorry before rushing to the drivers seat, but you catch up to him, tapping him on the shoulder.

"Hey, when we get back to station, can you finish the talk about turtles? I want to know more." Spencer stops on his tracks as he scans your face for malice, but it was only innocent curiosity.

"Hmm. Sure. I'll even make you coffee." He answers, a smile growing in his face making your heart pound in your chest. That was the moment the nerdy, adorable genius took your heart into his.

"Y/L/N!" You jolt out of the thought as smoke engulfs your view again. Derek carries Spencer's lifeless body of out of the church and you can feel your soul leaving your body.

Spencer is dead. The love of your life was dead. Tik, tok, the time is up. Your stomach churns and turns and you feel the blood in your head rush some place else.

Derek can see the way your face pales as Hotch and Rossi helps him carry Reid, "He's fine, he's alive. Cyrus hit him pretty hard in the stomach, I think he knocked him out." You sigh in relief, as you watch Spencer's body gets put on a gurney and into an ambulance.

"Do you want to go with him?" Hotch asks, in the softest voice you've ever heard from him, knowing how much you were worried of Spencer.

"Can I? Please?" He nods as he helps you ride the ambulance, "We'll meet you there." You nod at him as the ambulance doors close.

Not once did you let go of his hand, only holding it tight as the EMS worker works around you to plug him into machines. His stomach was swollen and he needed some stitches on the head from the hit Cyrus gave him.

"I assure you, he's going to be fine. The doctors are going to do a few tests just to make sure that there is no internal bleeding." The EMS worker assures you as he sees your crest fallen face and you push a small smile and a thank you for the kind worker.

"Everything's okay. The tests are okay. No internal bleeding and he's free to fly tomorrow morning." The doctor smiles before bidding goodbye to you and Derek.

"Hey, kid. You okay?" You nod, but never lifting your eyes from the sleeping Spencer.

"Okay, I'll be back in a moment to get you something to drink." Derek pats you in the back and can only smile as he sees your hands tighten on Spencer's.

He closes the door behind him and as soon as it closes the tears that has been threatening to burst from your chest just flows from your eyes. You fold your arms so you can shove your face into it to make less noise.

"God, I could have lost you. I could have lost you. I cannot... I cannot imagine a world without you. I can't even think of a tomorrow where you're not in it. I thought... I thought our time was up." You sob, your breathing starting to become uneven.

"I am in love with you, you idiot. Ever since the damn turtle facts." You sniffle as you tighten your hold unto his hand, as if he'll run away or just disappear from your grip.

"I am in love with you too, Shelly." You immediately raise your head, eyes widening when your met with Spencer's toothy grin.

Shelly. Shelly was the nickname he choose for you when you won't stop asking for turtle facts.

"You are?" You sniffle as you inch your chair closer to him.

"I am. Ever since the damn turtle facts." He says, smiling as he reaches for your face, brushing the tears running down your cheeks, "How the hell do you look so good even when you're crying?"

"How are you feeling?" You ask, changing the topic, "With you here? Better." Spencer answers, giving your hand a kiss.

You laugh as he reaches over for you, "Can you give me a hug?" He asks in a small voice and you immediately get up from your chair to give him a hug. He also sits up from the bed, wincing a little, but even that doesn't stop him from pulling you into a hug.

"All the time I was in there, I just kept on thinking that I need to get out alive because I still need know what if felt like to hold you like this." Spencer's hold on your waist tightens and his head sat on your shoulder.

"Does it live up to your expectations?"

"Better than expectations."

No one really knows how long the two of you stayed like that because no one dared to interrupt. Not when Derek was guarding the door with his life to make sure no one interrupts, so that he can give the two of you all the time the world can offer.

“Honey! I am home!” Spencer’s voice engulfs the silent house, causing the pot in your hand falls with a loud clank.

“Spencer!? Is that you?” Your mouth drops open when you see him walking in the apartment kitchen.

“Why are you so shocked to see me?” Spencer’s forehead furrows as he looks at the table full of foods, “Are you having someone over?”

“Uh....” Your lips seal together into a thin line as you put down the pot and spatula that you were just washing.

“Are you cheating on me?” Spencer narrows his eyes in a joking way before walking towards you, “I will never cheat on you!” Your brows furrows down, pulling him into a hug and Spencer laughs as he gives your temple a kiss.

“I know, I was joking. But seriously, what’s up?” Spencer asks, genuinely curious as to why there is so many food in the table.

“You know, you told me you weren’t coming home till tomorrow afternoon?” Spencer hums a yes as he sways the two of you together.

“Well...” Spencer looks down on you, a mischievous smile growing on your face.

“What have you done now?” He squints trying to study what your face. You give him a smile before quickly setting the table, Spencer watches as you rush putting the plates on the table.

“Ohhhkay. What’s happening?” Spencer asks as he helps you place the utensils besides the plates but even before you can answer your phone dings alarming you and you instantly straighten up.

“Remember when you said you wanted to meet my parents?” Spencer slowly nods as you try to straighten his tie.

“How do you feel about meeting my parents? Tonight.” Spencer’s mouth falls open in utter suprise, ”You don’t want to? Oh, well they’re pulling up in our driveway right now. So....” You peel your apron off your body and pulling Spencer with you to the door before running your hand through his hair.

“I do want to meet your parents, love. I just wish I had more time to get ready.” Spencer whines running his hands on his crinkly shirt to try straightening it.

“Hey! In my defence, you weren’t even supposed to be here,” Spencer’s nose scrunches making you smile and give him a kiss on the cheek, ”I love you and they’ll love you. And hey, if it ends up badly I made some of your favorite pie.”

Spencer smiles before kissing your nose, “You just keep coming with the surprises, don’t you?” You shrug, giving him a mischievous smile.

“I am nervous.” Spencer whispers to your ear as your parents start walking down the paved way of your shared house.

“They’ll love you. Just use your magical IQ of 187 and your charming lil smile.” You give his hand a tight squeeze before letting go to welcome your parents.

Spence shouldn’t have been nervous because the rest of the night goes by smoothly, your parents just adores Spencer for the way he undoubtedly loves and cares for you. (Plus those genes for grandchildren? Who can say no to that?)

"You have to let me in. I can't stay here." Hotch shakes his head. He was adamant that you were to stay by his side at all times. He knows that your relationship with Spencer can cause repercussions on the hostage situation.

"I am not letting you go anywhere. My decision is final. You wait here with me, you help with the people. Rossi and Derek goes in to get them." You chew on your lip as your heart beats in your chest.

Spencer, you boyfriend of two years, is inside a church with a cult leader that has sticks of bombs and is threatening to light it. You stare at the church at the sides as you see the SWAT slowly inching its way into it.

You look back as you feel Hotch's hand on your shoulder, "It's going to be okay." You nod as he hands you the kevlar vest to wear.

"Hotch, we're coming in." Derek's voice booms in your earpiece as Hotch gives him the instructions.

A minute later Emily is coming out of the side of the church with the women and children.

"Em! Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" You ask her as you help her down the stairs to the ambulances.

"I am okay, help the others. Help the others." Instantly, you let go of her and help the children and babies going down the steps of the church.

"Em?! Where's Spencer?!" You shout at her as she helps the others coming down.

"He was in the church with Cyrus! Derek... Derek he said he'll get him!" Emily's voice was full frustration, knowing her you know she wanted to go with Derek but she had no vest or anything.

"Hotch, please, they're not here yet. We should go in the church now! Before its too late!" You protest as Hotch walks to your side, probably to watch you.

"No. My order is to stay her—" Hotch never gets to finish his sentence.

It was quick and slow at the same time. The ringing of the explosion shots straight to your ear. How fast the snap comes, it was gone just as fast.

There was nothing but ashy smoke, your eyesight was colored orange as the fire blazes on as the church burns down to the ground.

"No! Spencer!" You sob as you start lunging over but Hotch holds you down through your waist, "Calm down, I can't let you run in to a burning building." His face was calm but his voice wavering with worry.

"Get the fuck off me! That's Spencer in there!" Hotch only lets you go, as he lets out a sigh, when two shadowy figures comes out of the burning building.

"Spencer!" You throw yourself unto him, almost knocking him over and automatically sobbing into the crook of his neck.

"You're okay. You're okay. You're okay." You repeat it like a mantra on his ear as you tighten your hold unto him. He was real. He was here. He was in your arms, breathing and fine.

"I am. I am okay because I am with you now. I love you." Spencer whispers back as he holds you tighter than humanly possible, a laugh bubbling from him. He can't believe he gets to do this again, seconds ago he thought he'd never get to hold you again.

"I love you. I love you, Spencer, so much. Please never go into cults again." You whisper gaining another laugh from him.

Spencer pulls away to get a clearer look at you. Tear marks was clear on your cheeks, he brushes his hands over the tears streaming down your face, "I am not going anywhere. I am sorry I made you worry." He tucks a piece of loose hair behind your ear before giving your forehead a tender kiss.

"Come on, you need to see a doctor and no, I am not taking no as an answer." You help him down to the ambulance before mouthing a sorry to Hotch, he nods and gives you a soft smile.

The doctor checks up on Spencer for the next few minutes, but not once does Spencer let go of your hand and not once did you want him to.

Please.” You pull him away from the play set but he won’t budge, as you look at Spencer, “Spence, love, please help me sweetheart or you’re sleeping on the couch tonight. Without kisses... and other stuff.” You widen your eyes at him and he immediately drops the paint.

You snicker as he scrambles to pick up Michael and bring him inside the house. Spencer is a smart man, but through all that IQ, he still is a man.

“Come on, Henry. Do me a favor and get in the tub for me.” Henry rolls his eyes and you bite your lip to stifle a laugh. JJ warned you that he was going through a sassy phase and while JJ and Will hate it, you love how funny he is.

“But I still want to paint.” Henry folds his arms across his chest, “Come on, Michael is already on the tub with your Uncle Spencer don’t you want to play with him?”

“You mean in a bath with my naked younger brother?” You nod, stifling another laugh threatening to bubble from your mouth.

“Ugh. I’ve officially lost my will to live.” This time, the laugh bursts from you as you pick him up and push him into the house, “You’re too young to lose your will to live. Believe me.” You snicker as he gets naked but leaves his cute boxers on. He glares at you as you pick him up so that you can put him in the tub with Michael.

“Now you can play in here, while getting clean.” You prompt as you hand Spencer a loofa so he can start scrubbing Michael down. You hand a boat to Henry and he frowns, “What is this? What am I? 5?”

Spencer laughs as he scrubs Michael while he giggles, playing with a rubber duck, “No, you’re not but you’re 10 and you have to stop being sassy.”

“Just play.” You hand him the boat and start scrubbing the paint off him.

Finally, the four of you get some peace as you each both clean a child as they were both distracted by the toys. The moment of peace ends when the pizza they ordered is delivered.

“I’ll get it.” Spencer says, standing up and drying his hands before leaving the bathroom.

“Okay, the pizza is here. You guys can eat. BUT first I am going to wash Henry first and then you Michael.” You smile at the two boys looking at you, as you reach for the drain.

“Me! Me! First!” Michael cries as he slaps the bubble water making it splash, “Michael, baby! Stop! It might go into your eyes or Henry’s. Its going to hurt.” You try to get hold of Michael’s hand but he kept on splashing it.

True to your predictions, the water did go into someones eyes, not Michael’s, not Henry’s but yours.

“Ow! IT BURNS!” You squint your eyes harder as the bubble water burns your eyes.

“Michael! This is all your fault!” Henry screeches as tears well up your eyes from the burning sensation. Henry laughs even more like an evil villain.

“Henry! Don’t say that!” You try to scold Henry but thats too late as Michael was now full on crying and wailing.

“Heh... sorry, that isn’t funny.” Henry sheepishly says as his brother wails.

You hear Spencer’s heavy footsteps as he rushes into the bathroom,“What happened?”

“They got soap in my eyes and Henry is making Michael cry. Can you please wash them I need to wash out the soap off my eyes?” Spencer helps you stand up as you try to open your eyes but only causing it to burn more.

“Henry stop making your brother cry and help him wash himself.” Spencer instructs in a strict voice which makes Henry immediately move.

“Okay, here.” Spencer turns on the faucet and you immediately put your face under it, instantly sighing in relief. Spencer leaves you under the faucet as you hear him wash the children, which he successfully does. He brings the boys in their shared room to dress them both. After getting dressed Henry walks back to the bathroom with a towel.

“Here’s a towel. I am sorry for laughing and making a mess.” Henry pulls on your shirt and offering the towel. Awww what a sweet boy. You smile at him as you reach for the towel but he shrieks at you causing him to drop the towel, “AHHHH YOUR EYES ARE SO RED! MONSTEEER!”

You roll your eyes as he runs pass Spencer and to his room.

“Are you okay? Does it still hurt?” Spencer asks, “I am good. It still burns but I am alive.” You sniffle as you give him a smile even with tears in your eyes.

“How the hell do you look so good even when you’re crying?” You laugh as he pulls your face closer and looking at your eyes, “Its still red, but you’ll be fine.”

“What you’re a doctor of medicine now?” It was Spencer’s turn to laugh before giving your temple a kiss.

“How about you guys put on a movie, eat pizza and I’ll clean here?” Spencer offers as he tucks a loose hair behind your ear.

“Spencer Reid, you are so getting laid tonight.” He laughs before giving your lips a peck (and your ass a squeeze as you walk out)

A piece of pizza for each child and 3 Moana songs later, the little LaMontagne monsters children are fast asleep on the couch with their arms wrapped around you with you also fast asleep.

Spencer walks in the living room as Moana breaks into another song number and finds the kids tangled up with you, a contented smile gracing your features as you snore quietly.

He can’t help but smile as he feels his heart swell twice its size with love. Its only been a year, but Spencer has never been more sure of what he wanted for his future and maybe, just, maybe its time for a ring.

300 followers?! This still feels surreal. 🥺 Thank you for reading my works and giving it so much love. Words is not enough to show my gratitude for you all 🤎

To celebrate 300 followers, I prepared a couple of gifts!

Warnings: a lot of sneezing and sickness talk :< Fem! Reader!

Word Count: 910 words.

Spencer hates germs. He always have said that if he can exchange his eidetic memory with the power to never get sick he would.

He hates being sick, not being able to see the germs flying around, hates coughing, snot and runny noses. But most of all he hates it when your sick because Spencer really, really loves you but he really, really hates the germs.

“Get away from me! If you get sick, its going to be a bigger problem.” You sniffle moving away from Spencer as he comes in the room with a tray of chicken noodle soup, toast, orange juice and some tylenol.

“Come on, baby. I need to take care of you.” Spencer sits on the other side of the bed as you lie on the other side of it.

“I can do it on my own! Just leave the soup!” You try to sit up, but god your just so dizzy.

“Just let me help you okay? I won’t get sick.” Spencer almost laughs as he sees you struggling to sit up. He props a pillow on your back to help you sit better, “Okay, But only because you really want to.” Spencer smiles as your voice softens.

“Did you know that the heat from the soup helps clear nasal congestion and can relieve pain and sinus pressure?” You sniffle again, reaching over for a tissue and blowing on your nose.

“Honey, I really love your facts and rants but right now I just need my soup.” Spencer chuckles before offering a spoonful of soup to you. You happily accept it, loving the feeling of the hot soup going through your body.

You hum happily, finally feeling a bit better, “You’re happy?” Spencer smiles as he watches you munch on a small piece of the toast that he gave you.

You nod after he gives you another spoonful of soup, “Thank you, Spence. You take such good care of me.”

“That’s because I love you, baby.” He laughs as he reaches over for tissue and wiping the snot running down your nose. If it wasn’t you, he would have gagged with disgust.

“Get away, get away!” You instantly say as you try to get away from him as you feel a sneeze coming.

“ACHOO!” You sneeze, loudly if Spencer may add, on the tissue in your hands covering your nose. Spencer can’t help but laugh at how outrageously loud your sneeze was.

“Stop laughing! I am not feeling well!” You protest before pouting at him and before he can say anything, you sneeze loudly again. Spencer laughs as he hands you more tissues.

“Every time you sneeze really loudly, it kills my soul just a little knowing that our future children might inherit that.” Spencer jokes and when he sees your face he instantly straightens up.

“Spencer, I am sick with flu while I am pregnant with the child that you,” You pause to put emphasis on the word you before continuing, “put into me. I can’t even sleep properly and your joking about our child’s sneeze!?”

Spencer stifles a laugh before spouting out facts, “Come on, love. I was joking. Don’t get mad. Its really not your fault. Sneezes are very strong reflexes to clear the upper airway and are often spontaneous and involuntary, thus, we can’t control its force.”

“No more jokes. More soup.” You say as you open your mouth trying to eat more soup. Spencer smiles as he feeds you another spoonful of the soup.

“If this doesn’t go away tonight, we’re going to the Doctor tomorrow, okay? Just to be sure.” Spencer says as he smooths your hair down and giving it a kiss.

“But, I don’t want to leave the bed and you’re a doctor! You diagnose me!“ You pout at him.

Spencer laughs as he gives your hand a massage, “Honey, I have 3 PhDs and none of them is a medical doctorate. So, just to be sure that you and baby pea are okay we’re going to the doctors tomorrow.”

“Okay.” You say as Spencer puts down the the tray before handing you a tylenol.

“Is tylenol safe for me?” You ask in a small voice. He smiles, “Yes. Its considered the safest pain medicine to take when you’re pregnant.” You drink it swiftly with a gulp of orange juice.

“Come on, let’s get you to bed.” Spencer props the pillow so you can lie down properly, “Are you feeling better?” He inquires, brushing his hand through your hair.

“Hmmm. A little.” He nods, smiling down at you as he kisses your forehead, “I left a bucket on the other side of the bed so if you need to hurl, you can do it easily.”

“I am sleepy.” You say as you caress your growing bump, “Go to sleep, love. I’ll be here if you need me.”

You hum a response before slowly closing your eyes, “Baby Pea and I love you, Spencer. Thank you for taking care of us."

Spencer smiles as he feels his heart beat against his chest. He has many dreams in his life but this one was one of the things that he never know if he could get and now that you're lying here beside him, his child growing inside you, it just feels surreal.

“I also love you both and I promise to always take care of you." He continues to brush his hand through your hair as you slowly drift to sleep.

Yeah, Spencer really hates germs. But not even that can't stop him because he'd do anything for his little family.

As long as you can remember, you've always wanted to be a teacher. Being around kids and teaching was your life's calling. The joy of teaching and the sound of children giggling excites you.

But today, as the children you're teaching grow more and more frustrated of how hard online classes, you also grow more and more overwhelmed.

You have tried your very best to make it as fun and engaging as you can but as they were young their attention span doesn't really last that long especially now that they're sitting in front of the computer. You've exhausted every option to keep the class as entertaining as possible: green screens, interactive videos, boards of activities, etc.

You remove your fun hat (It was fun hat day) as you turn off the zoom after the final child finally says their goodbye. You immediately jump to bed, laying their like a starfish. A few minutes later, you hear the door creak open and Spencer peaks, his hoodie drooping as he tilts.

"Bubs, is the class done?" You hum in response, before curling into a fatal position so he can lay down next to you.

"How was it?" Spencer joins you in bed and immediately wraps his arms around your waist.

"The kids are growing restless. I am still thinking of new ideas to keep it entertaining for them." You turn around so you can face his chest and snuggle deeper in his arms.

"I am sure they'll enjoy whatever you do. You're very entertaining." Spencer kisses the top of your head as silence washes over the two of you. He can sense that something was wrong, so he pulls away so he can see your face clearer.

"What's the problem?" He asks, looking at your eyes and how they're turning glassy at the edge. You still had some fun face makeup on your face but you still looked pretty.

"I am overwhelmed. I feel like I am not doing enough for them." You answer in a small voice as you look back at him, his expressions immediately softening.

"Oh bubs. Don't say that. The kids are very lucky to have you as their teacher. You're a really, really awesome teacher and you do so much for them in this difficult time," Spencer holds your face in his hand, softly stroking your cheeks with his thumbs, "I am sure the kids and their parents are thankful to have you."

The sad smile in your face scrunches up into a smile with his words of encouragement, "Thank you, baby."

"You don't have to thank me, I was merely saying the truth." Spencer says as he pulls you back to his chest, his hands wrapped on your waist.

"And you know what? If you're really desperate I can always do some magic to distract them." You giggle.

"Well, thank you for the offer and thank you for this cuddle time. I needed it." You hear Spencer laugh and you can feel it as his chest vibrates, "For you, it's always available in exchange of kisses."

You giggle, pulling away to give him a peck on the lips before going back to the original cuddling position.

"I love you, Teacher Y/N." Spencer smooths down your hair before giving your hair a huge smooch.

"I love you too, Doctor Reid." You sigh in relief, knowing that everything is going to be okay as long as your soft, loving, magician boyfriend was around.
