Sum: Getting caught in the rain, and the care that follows

A/N: It's been raining all day so this seemed fitting, I don’t like how this turned out so might delete later but currently cant be bothered.

✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧⧗✧

“Fuck,fuck,fuck” you muttered waddling to your house in search of warmth. The chances of rain were slim so you bet your luck leaving the house without a coat. A bet that would prove stupid when the sky opened almost mocking you with a storm.

You shivered your way home, and started to wonder if it was snow given how cold you felt. Your shorts and short sleeved t-shirt provided no protection from the rain whatsoever and you knew it wouldn't be long before you caught a cold.

Finally reaching the door to your shared house you saw the lights on inside and cursed yourself again preparing for Natasha to yell at you for not taking an umbrella. To your surprise the door swung open and Wanda wrapped you in her arms.

“WTF! y/n! Your freezing ``''Nat get a towel, she's practically ice!!” however cold and wet you were, it felt indescribably good wrapped in the soft arms of your worried girlfriend.

“Here” said Nat rushing round the corner and flinging a towel over you.

“I’m ok, really it's just a-” with that you sneezed all over Wanda, though she didn't seem to care and picked you up like a sick puppy, cradling you in her arms.

“y/n when you better i'm gonna say I told you so, but for now you need a hot bath and dry clothes.” Nat said flatly, you wanted to argue that it wasn't your fault and that the stupid weatherman is never right, but you couldn't deny how good a hot bath sounded and simply let Wanda carry you to the tub. You buried your head in her warm neck and listened to the annoyed grunts of Natasha playing around with the bath knobs, the water filled slowly and you found your eyes shutting in exhaustion. Wanda placed you gently on the floor and began undressing herself while Nat helped you out of your soggy clothes.

Wanda climbed in first testing the temperature and waving for Nat to hand you to her.

You sat between her legs, head resting on her chest while she picked up a cloth and started to wash you. Her touch was so gentle you simply closed your eyes and soaked up the warmth.

Nat said something about getting more towels and wandered off down the hall. Your eyelids closed and you swear you could hear sweet humming above you. You were in warm bliss you never wanted to leave and fell asleep with a smile.

When you woke up the warm flow of water around you was gone. You were dry but still warm, opening your eyes to see your girlfriends wrapped around you on the couch, and at least 7 blankets were piled over you, like a nest for a sick baby bird.

“When did…” you muttered, still half asleep only for Nat to pull you closer, kissing the crown of your head and whisper sweet things that made you blush.

The three of you lay there for the rest of the evening only getting up to drink some hot chocolate and put on a movie you would all fall asleep to, now warm and happy, maybe the storm was worth it after all.
