It's the week we've all been waiting for... it's national curry week! We love this recipe
​What you will need:
• ​2 tsps ghee or organic coconut oil 1 small red onion, finely chopped 5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1 thumb sized piece fresh ginger, finely chopped
• 3-5 green chillis, finely chopped handful baby tomatoes, halved 700g fresh chicken breast, diced 250ml fresh chicken stock (or use one organic stock cube)
• 2 tbsps tomato purée salt to season
• 2-3 tsps medium curry powder 200g basmati rice or grated cauliflower
juice of 1 lemon or lime
What you will need to do:
• ​Melt the ghee/coconut oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat.
• Add and stir the onion and gently sauté for 3-4 minutes
​• Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for 2-3 minutes
​• Add the chillis and baby tomatoes and sauté for 1 minute
• Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes, continue to stir
• Add the stock and bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer.
​• Add the tomato purée, salt, curry powder and rice/cauliflower. Stir well.
• Cover and simmer gently for around 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked through, checking regularly.
​• Add more stock or boiling water if the mixture becomes dry.
• Add the lemon / lime juice, stir and cook for 1 minute.

Curry For Crows - The Plan
Sunday 11 October: We kick off with a BIG one at Longlevens Rugby Club on Sunday 11 October. Hari and Zaffar from the Jungle Crows will be cooking up a curry lunch and you can enjoy some beers and their curry in the Longlevens Rugby World Cup marquee. Hope a few USA and Japan supporters will drop in before their game at Kingsholm!
Tuesday 13 October: At the Signal Box a brand new community centre in the heart of Cambridge. Starting at 6.30pm and once again Head Curry Chefs Hari and Zaffar will be treating you to their authentic flavours of India curry!
Wednesday 14 October: Bath night with a Wine Tasting with legendary New World wine expert Liam and his team at Red - White Wine in Bath. Details still being worked out, but get in touch if you fancy tasting the best of New World wine and getting some tips on what goes best with a curry!
Friday 16 October: High Wycombe pre-Quarter Finals Curry.
