with my school starting again soon, id like to say some stuffs about being a therian in high school.

im going into my junior year, and starting at a new school with the same people. my high school splits 9/10 grade and 11/12 into two schools. i am hoping that this year the people that liked to harass me in the halls have grown up a bit. thankfully, last year, nobody tried to take my tail, though i did feature on the schools "cringe" instagram and my cities "cringe alert" snapchat story. so there was some unwanted publicity.

but. i love expressing my nonhuman identity, and i do that by wearing a tail and pins that say "not human" and "yip!" and "it/its plz!". i have yet to find other therians, not even just at my school, but in my city. though, my boyfriend is crocodile, bunny, and sheep kin, so im not the only alterhuman here. but i really do want therian friends that i can practice quads with or nudge lovingly or press noses with.

Pictures from our trip to the aquarium! This was the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga TN. Its my favourite aquarium I have been to so far, and its super cool because there are 2 separate buildings for the salt and fresh water fish. There were lots of really cool guys that we saw, my favourite is always the Arapaima (Pirarucu). They had a touch pool for sting rays and a little shark, and a touch pool for little sturgeons.

get your nails done like big crocodilian claws!

eat lots of fish, or even go fishing if you want to!

sunbathe and soak up those rays for your cold blooded self! (use sun protection!)

have fun going swimming, and just floating along like a crocodile!

practice quadrobics! there are lots of different ways to try quads that reflect different theriotypes, so try out different things!

wear some sharp teeth! lots of halloween stores have all sorts of different kinds this time of year

try making some pop can tab scale mail!

wear some gloves or shirts with big, floppy sequin/scales

get some chewelery!

biting and snapping stims!! (be gentle on your teeth!!)

wear some leather/pleather or reptilian skin like textures!

decorate your living space to reflect your habitat!

i'm still questioning my crocodilian kintype. from early childhood i was obsessed with crocodiles, watching documentaries abt them religiously over and over, and when i brought it up my mom even told me that as a baby i would only play w a singular crocodile toy lol

whenever i was in the water i'd pretend to be a crocodile... and ive had a weird connection to water and "crocodile waters", as well as crocodiles themselves forever.

obviously you can be obsessed with crocodiles without being one. i've always strongly identified with them but i might not be one, so i'll keep questioning for now :v

I want sand. I want sea. I want scales.

I want to laze around on muddy shores of a lazy river. I want to feel the hot sun rays charge me like a power core. I want the calm heavyness, the haze, the relaxation. The cool water lapping at the bank in small waves. My tail swishing indents into the sandy mud as I skeet towards the water and float along soundlessly, only my watchful eyes above the water.
