Welcome to Day 8 of #marchmeetthemaker - Work in progress. 💜 Well I'd normally show something that's actually half made but I ended up finishing this snodd last night. So it's not so much in progress in the physical sense. I am however working on trying to perfect my snoods. So you could say that the Snood Project is a work in progress. 💜 I love the style of a snood, whether it's worn by renaissance Queens and ladies, or by the woman of WW2. There is just something about them that says 'sophisticated' to me. Not that I'm at all sophisticated, but when I wear one I definitely feel a little more dressed up. 💜 I'm currently trying to find a design or come up with my own design, that is easy to make and more importantly easy to secure to your head. Most designs require you to tie a cord at the base of your neck which can catch your fine hairs and pull them out. Some are made to loosely fit any head size and require you to pin at the top to hold it in place. I find those feel less secure and hair can slip out the sides. Some have elastic around the edge for a secure fit but often the elastic shows. So you see, I am still working in perfecting this look. But the effort is so worth it. 💜 I have ordered some beautiful yarns to make these snoods with which will hopefully give them a thinner more refunded look. I can't wait to share it with you all. 💜 In the mean time, channel your inner queen. Sit tall and speak calmly and wisely. What you say and do is important, and the next generation will be looking to you for guidance and comparison.
