A photographer was going around snapping pictures at the fair. He started to take pictures of us & our dogs. I told him that I usually don’t allow photos taken of us, but if he would be kind enough to send them to us, I’d allow it. He was very kind & respectful, he even asked if I wanted them deleted off his camera. I told him he can keep them. He sent me them via email & they’re so beautiful! Over the weekend, my boyfriend & I took a walk downtown. I decided to show him some of the guiding tasks Max does when we’re out & about. On our way back to his house, I gave him the opportunity to try to work Max so he can get a glimpse from a handler perspective. I had him shut his eyes & told him to trust Max. He thought it was the coolest thing. These pictures & videos were from going to a concert on our town green. The band “Nightshift” was performing. Milo couldn’t care less about the noise. I think he likes rock music! (He always pants. He was not panting due to stress.) During the concert, there were two GSD’s that were laying near us. At one point, one of the dogs got loose and charged Milo barking & snarling. My dad jumped in front of the dog & caught it right as it got to us. Milo didn’t react badly towards the dog. I held him close as I was panicking. He responded to my anxiety & interrupted my scratching. He jumped up onto my lap to perform DPT. I am so proud of how well he handled that. The owner of the dog came over to apologize & said that the dog was friendly & just wanted to play, but you could tell that the behavior wasn’t friendly. He asked a bunch of random questions about Milo & pet him all over no matter how many I told him not to! It was a frustrating situation. I took Milo for a walk around town to work on some curb work (where I knew it was safe & no traffic).
