Sunclan

Everything started with Sunstar (sunscar), him and his mate ran away from their clans after everyone figured out they were from different clans, him from thunderclan and hers was windclan, they set off to live peacefully together elsewhere far away without rules or codes (his mate was also a med cat)

Nightclan

Nightstar was the first kit of sunstar and his mate (forestfall), her and her brother were raised by their uncle in hopes their parents wouldn’t be discovered, they were lol, in result she had to leave with her parents as her birth clan (windclan) rejected her (they weren’t having non of it atm)

Cloudclan

Cloudstar was one of Sun’s and Forest’s kits on their journey to the new lands, she just wanted to live in the marshes honestly and was a bit fed up with all her brothers, so she made cloudclan and spent her days chasing frogs

Rainclan

Rainstar was a loner from the area of the clans before they formed, she was extremely head strong and didn’t take orders so she made her own clan on the beach, taking Cloudstar’s brother, Appletail as a mate

Frostclan

Old Frost lived in the mountains, long story short, not many other cats wanted to live there so they just let him be, he was already living up in the snow cave at the beginning of the clans, eventually more cats joined and became a clan, Cloudstar’s second brother, Leafnose became leader after Froststar

in conclusion the Sun and Forest family spilt into the five clans, though those weren’t their only kits (they had eight in total and most stayed in sunclan)

wait okay so what’s the deal with cloudclan? why do they live separated like that/how did that start? are they separated at birth or after the warrior ceremony/apprentice ceremony… how does it all work?

When Cloudstar originally split off from the cats who arrived in the desert, she didn't expect to find much. All the cats who had followed her had done so in hopes of something more familiar to the grove. Despite the fires that made them leave, it was still a home. When she had run into the mountains, the towering stone reminded her of the cliff faces around the grove. So she had lead her cats up the mountain range, finding a glacier-melt stream to drink from, and all seemed well.

But the thinner-furred cats were struggling with the cold, the similar stone and prey when layered with the unfamiliar climate left them lethargic and unstable. Cloudstar had been trusted to lead these cats to a new home, she couldn't let her members suffer! Besides, new kits born into this place during whatever the desert's Cold Season was would likely freeze to death.

So, despite her own thick fur, she gathered her thin-furred cats to set out back into the desert to find somewhere warmer. Of course, she had learned a lesson from the journey to the mountains that she shouldn't try find somewhere in one trip. Besides, Cloudstar's cats were counting on her. She couldn't just leave them. So, over the course of two moons, she ran short scouting sessions around the desert, mapping out the place and finding somewhere all her cats would thrive.

When enough of these trips occurred, [unnamed early CloudClan cat] realised they had been living on one of a ring of mountains that could shelter a camp that would work for all cats. They quickly told Cloudstar, and she saw what they were going for. A camp placed in the centre of the mountains, where a stretch of desert still lay, but a cooler one with a convenient path that lead up to a higher point in the mountains, close to their glacier river and with some interesting looking unexplored caves.

So, Cloudstar went out with her closest friend (future deputy), [unnamed cat], and [future medicine cat] to check out the place more thoroughly. With half their cats in the desert cradle, and the other half set up higher in the mountains, it would be a perfect damp set up. The caves gave them something to do as they settled as well.

CloudClan were the first to find their modern-Clan home, with OasisClan next, DustClan after, and PaleClan being the last, for they moved camp ~half way through the Clan's existence.

That's the origins of the mountain split, as for how things work, it's not a strict split? I see it more like past WindClan, with tunnel diggers and moor runners or whatever they were called.

As mentioned, the mountains are cold, so kits are born in a half-way point between the desert and the mountains. Rather temperate. When they're apprenticed, it's always to someone with similar fur-thickness, so training and patrols and hunts can be done in the same place. So, separation is just about what's comfortable really, and it's not like you have to live all separate, you can still visit and stuff, and some stubborn cats live with their littermates or friends. It's not exactly strict but if a medicine cat deems it to be detrimental to their health they are pushed back to a better climate.

examples of stubborn cats include- Mintpaw and Bellpaw, who stay in the mountains with their mother Dewpetal, and Blueflip, who lives in the desert with his mother, Riverclaw (until he moves to the mountains with his mate Snowflight)

like the separation is mostly who sleeps where, hunting, and training, when you have no tasks you can literally just dip anywhere you want

time for the medicine cat apprentice of Cloudclan! What I did this time was start with 2 cats and not allow cats in on patrol (unless babies)

Cloudstar

Cloudstar is a small light gray tom with a scar on his left cheek with green eyes. Formerly Cloud runner he was the founder of CloudClan after he left Mountain fur's group. As a New Claw he worked hard to prove him self the Sky Apple. Though when a fire broke out he and many other cats ran, most never finding their way back to their home. Cloud runner was alone for many moons, eventually taking the name Cloud. He crossed a river and encountered a rouge named Willow who took him back to her camp. There he would find Mountain fur once again. Though not long after tension began to rise on what to do about Dusk, a rouge in the area. Cloud runner thought that they should drive him out, a plan that even Dusk's sister, Eagle hill agreed to. Though Mountain runner refused out of fear for her group. It was enough to where Cloud runner and his followers left. They founded their own group across the river. Eventually Dusk would calm down and made his own group. The groups became knows as clans with there being 4, MountainClan, DuskClan, CloudClan, and HillClan. Soon after the leaders would get their leader names, Mountainstar, Duskstar, Cloudstar, and Hillstar. After a dispute about territory, DuskClan, CloudClan, and HillClan went to war with MountainClan. After a MountainClan cat, Birch, accidently killed CloudClan's deputy, Cloudstar killed Mountainstar and drove out MountainClan. He had kits with Hillstar and later in life he would die of Greencough.

Gulldrop - A long-furred black and white tom with green eyes. He's compassionate and an excellent fighter. He's 65 moons old and brother to Irispelt.

Irispelt - A short-furred grey and yellow calico molly with green eyes. She's strict and a good fighter. She's 65 moons old and sister to Gulldrop.

Glass - A blue-grey ticked tabby molly with sharp blue eyes. She's shameless and very smart. She's 35 moons old.

Pearlcry - A gorgeous long-furred black and orangy tabby calico molly with green eyes. She's daring and an excellent speaker. She's 23 moons old and mates with Songspots.

Songspots - A pretty silver bengal molly with bright yellow eyes. She's troublesome and a good hunter. She's 20 moons old and mates with Pearlcry. She wears a blue bell collar around her neck.

Eeltail - A black tabby cat with a white chest and tail tip and yellow eyes. She's thoughtful and a great fighter. She's 18 moons old. She's an adoptive mother to Beachkit.

Squid - A long-furred grey and white cat with dark blue eyes. They're responsible and a good teacher. They're 14 moons old.

Nestlight - A brown and orange tortoiseshell molly with hazel eyes. She's insecure and a good speaker. She's 13 moons old and sister to Pebbleeyes.

Pebbleeyes - A sandy-colored marbled bengal molly with amber eyes. She's ambitious and a great hunter. She's 13 moons old and sister to Nestlight.

Apprentices Snailpaw - A creamy colorpoint molly with sky blue eyes. She's thoughtful and training under Trillbeam's mentorship. She's 6 moons old and sister to Slugpaw.

Slugpaw - A brown ticked tabby tom with dark blue eyes. He's empathetic and training under Koifin's mentorship. He's 6 moons old and brother to Snailpaw.

Kits Wavekit - A small grey molly with amber eyes. She's inquisitive and smart for her age. She's 5 moons old and daughter to Lilacpuddle and sister to Splashkit and Tsunamikit.

Reunions

Just a concept drawing for how Skimmerpaw and her littermate Figpaw's reunion would go.

Their parents are the two clan leaders, Vicestar and Galestar, who frankly hate each other. Who knows why they decided to have kits with one another.

When the kits were 3 moons old, Vicestar said he had a 'right' to one of the kits, choosing Figkit.

Skimmerpaw was excited when she became an apprentice, she would finally be able to see her brother again. Turns out a lot had happened to her brother in that time.

Cloudclan has a way of changing people.

Bandana!

here's Bandana! or Sandhair if you go by his warrior name, he's a siamese cat with tabby-like fur, and he's the me of my Warrior cats lore! a Daylight warrior for Cloudclan, he seems to know a lot about twolegs and their stuff, and he seems protective of the bandana he wears. he has a neighbor at his twoleg's house that helps him out supplying the clan's medicine cat with all the herbs he needs.
