Featuring the CK x WOWP AU! Currently only a concept, but you never know...👀 if there’s enough demand, maybe that’ll change!

Alex really, really didn’t want to be here. It wasn’t that the LaRussos’ wealth bothered her, it was just...

“I wish you and Dad had never even met!”

“Please don’t leave me here...”

Granted, that was at a resort, not a country club, but she didn’t see much of a difference.

“Alex?”

She startled, looking up at her concerned cousin. “What’s up, Sam?”

“Are you okay?”

“Fine, fine, don’t worry about me.” She smiled, though Sam didn’t look overly convinced. “So? What’s the plan?”

Sam’s eyes traveled up to the mezzanine, frowning. “How do you feel about some investigation?”

Oh, the fun Alex Russo could have in the world of Cobra Kai ! I love the idea of a crossover fanfic with these shows! Y’know there was an episode in S3 of WOWP where Alex used a magical marker, that if you wrote something with it on someone’s hand or arm — their personality would change to fit that phrase. In the episode, Alex had gone through a rough break-up so she used the marker to write “Be Positive” on her arm and the spell made her act so perky and cheerful that she drove everyone crazy. So, I could picture her solving the Cobra Kai problem her cousin’s having by writing “Be Nice To Everyone”, “Constantly Apologize Instead Of Fighting”, or “Never Lie Again” on Kreese or Silver and it backfiring horribly for some reason (like maybe Anthony finds the marker afterwards?). Which is just one of a million possibilities to go with this crossover. I’d love to read any type CK and WOWP crossover!

Oh absolutely! I’m probably not gonna actively write it until I finish watching WOWP in its entirety—I’ve seen the movies, but I’m only on S2 of the show itself. Alex in Cobra Kai is the chaotic energy we need!

Hmm...that seems problematic though, because as you say, it causes someone to act in a way that drives them crazy. Not so great as a permanent solution. Though it could make for some wacky hijinks 😂 Alex nearly exposing herself to her LaRusso extended family is a plot point at some point!

You’re watching Wizards of Waverly Place and wondering why Alex’s last name isn’t “LaRusso” 🤦‍♀️

Here we go with the WOWP x CK AU that has owned my thoughts since this post!

Basically, here’s the rundown: after “Alex vs Alex,” Alex goes to live with the LaRussos, her distant cousins. Maybe this is her parents’ decision, maybe it’s hers, but 🤷‍♀️ either way, her parents are in favor of it (I like the idea of her choosing this, and Jerry and Theresa absolutely agreeing, because she literally almost died)

So Alex moves in with them, and she gets wrapped up in the plot of Cobra Kai. I’m thinking this is around Season 2, during the summer. I think Alex is old enough to be a junior while Sam is a sophomore, so that works. But although Sam is nice, Alex and her are at odds at first, because Alex is reckless and cavalier and doesn’t care about rules (and that reminds Sam a little too much of the parts of herself that she doesn’t like).

Alex also is able to bridge the gap between Sam and Tory, because she knows Sam, and she vibes with Tory, so that rivalry is nipped in the bud. The love triangles won’t happen because I hate them and they’re stupid, but I haven’t actually come up with a reason why they wouldn’t happen 😂

Alex would join Cobra Kai but like...in a trolling sort of way. She’d at first try to irritate Johnny, but after realizing that Kreese is the bigger threat, she’d switch targets. It would be hilarious, especially since she wouldn’t quit after the school fight (they need a girl on the inside, and Alex is all too happy to do it! While also looking out for Tory ofc).

Speaking of the school fight, It’s instigated by Hawk against Demetri. Mostly because the Samtory rivalry doesn’t exist here.

Alex looks out for Anthony too, vibing with him as a fellow “younger sibling in their older sibling’s shadow.” She even gets him to do karate and reminds Amaniel that they have more than one kid!! A miracle!!

Oh, and did I mention the LaRussos don’t know she’s a wizard? Given that Alex is terrible at keeping secrets...this can only end chaotically 😂 Jerry and Theresa will not be happy when they’re called over to sort that mess out. Especially since Daniel probably vaguely remembers hearing about some of the Russos’ wizarding exploits on the news.

Justin makes Alex give him weekly updates, because he knows how karate-crazy the Valley is, and how Kreese is probably not as much of a “hero” as everyone seems to think. Alex tries to sugarcoat things, because ever since “Alex vs Alex” when Justin missed a world-altering event that nearly killed her, he’s been super protective. Unfortunately, Justin knows her too well and sees right through her trying to BS him 😂

Harper’s over to visit nearly all the time, she’s almost as much a fixture in The Valley as Alex is! Because come on, how could she not be? They’re two peas in a pod!

And that’s all I’ve got so far! But knowing me, there’s ofc gonna be angst in this concept later (like when Alex learns the Quicksilver Method)

Top five fanfic Ideas that you’d love to write one day.

A hard one! 😂 I’m not gonna cheat and do WIPs (so nothing listed in my pinned post will be discussed here, tho I’m open to talking about those with anyone who’s curious!). Let’s see:

1. I really wanna write that Morgan Wells AU one day. Probably won’t happen but...oh my GOD I still have so much love for it 🥺 I wish I’d come up with it back in March 2020 (instead of 2021), I would’ve had SO MUCH MORE TIME! I’m still gonna post a few oneshots from that AU, but nothing as ambitious as what I hoped to write. Check my “morgan wells au” tag and/or ask me about it, if you’re curious! But I also made this post about it, if you want a quick summary.

2. Sam and Robby from Cobra Kai having a Shirbert-esque rivalry! Probably without romance, because I don’t ship them in any universe 😂 I talked about this idea here!

3. My CK x MLB AU! I talked about that here, and since I haven’t started writing it yet, it counts too.

4. The CK Spy AU! I don’t have a tag for this one, but I talked about it here.

5. I talked about rewriting the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy here, and even though I said I’d never do it (there are other multichap fics with that premise and I just don’t have the time), part of me wants to write a series of oneshots implementing these ideas.
