• you were at some charity gala hosted at wayne manor, on business ofc. you worked as a reporter for gotham's most prestigious paper and were put on this assignment to get the inside scoop on gotham's elites.

• bruce noticed you the second you walked in wearing that red satin gown with the plunging neckline and high slit. he was interested, to say the least

• bruce was a man who knew what he wanted, and he intended to have it. so he approached you with a self assured smile.

• "i couldn't help but notice you standing over here all alone. can i get you something to drink?"

• you'd already made up your mind about bruce wayne. sure the rumors were terrible and cruel, but most of them were true. you knew he was just like the rest of them

• "no, thanks. i'm good." you said with a bit of an attitude. which did not deter him in the slightest.

• and it's not that you didn't find him attractive because well...damn, but once you'd made up your mind about something it was rare that it would change.

• "c'mon, i couldn't just leave a pretty girl like you over here all by herself," he said with a devilish smirk.

• you rolled your eyes in disgust.

• but he just wouldn't give up. throughout the night he would wink to you from across the room and send you glances as he danced with other girls at the party as if you were supposed to be jealous.

• and even though you were here to be interviewing people, you had been at the bar most of the night.

• you'd gotten a bit more than tipsy and by the time everyone was leaving, there was no way you could drive home.

• all of the guests were gone and bruce was making his way over to your slouched form at the bar.

• "hey, gorgeous. rough night?" he asked teasingly, and the flush in his face told you that he'd had too much to drink too.

• "suck my dick, wayne," you spat. bruce just grinned, "is that a challenge."

• you rolled your eyes, "you're disgusting."

• "i don't think you actually believe that," bruce said with a cocky grin.

• "that's just because you're a conceited asshole who thinks everyone is obsessed with him," you retorted.

• bruce gave a low chuckle that sent a chill down your spine, "then why can't you keep your eyes off me?"

• you felt your face heat up and your brows knit together, "i hate you."

• he took a step closer, "how much?"

• the close proximity had your mind in a haze and you forgot how to form a complete sentence. the scent of his alcohol laced breath so close to your lips made you forget who you were talking to in the first place.

• a moment of tension lingered between the two of you before all of your resolve and last bit of common sense snapped as you kissed him desperately.

• his hands clung to your hips and yours tangled themselves in his hair. it was sudden and uncalculated but the way he bit your bottom lip eagerly had you practically throwing yourself at him.

• he lifted you up against him and rested one hand on the small of your back, the other on your ass to support your balance obviously, his lips only leaving yours when his lungs screamed for air.

• a trail of clothes led to his bedroom, the one place you hadn't been expecting to find yourself only hours ago.

A Batman who has seen all of the Twilight movies at least six times and has read and annotated all the books but utterly despises every word of it. A Batman who has the entirety of the ‘92 version of Newsies memorized despite himself and can belt out “Sante Fe” to bring a tear to your eye but nonetheless feels seething hatred towards that musical. Just keep stacking Batmans. Pour them all into one Batman. Truly create a Batman who seems to know everything at a bone deep intimate level despite his disdain for the topic.

The Pale Blue Eye

A weary detective is hired to investigate the murder of a West Point cadet. While investigating, he hires a cadet, who would soon become renowned poet, Edgar Allen Poe.

If you throw in a period piece with a dash of mystery, I will be down for whatever the movie is about. If you throw Edgar Allen Poe and Christain Bale into the mix, my excitement is through the roof. So it makes me sad to say that I was a little disappointed with The Pale Blue Eye. As a drama, it's a compelling narrative of grief and revenge, though a little slow at the start, but fantastically builds tension once the story starts. However, as a murder mystery, it does fail apart slightly. Some of the big twists are really obvious and cliched. I was hoping that the murder mystery would be more tightly knit but still an enjoyable story that is well-directed and written.

If some of the actors toned down their accents a bit, I probably would have enjoyed this movie a bit more. Some of the accents were so over-the-top it was comical rather than serious. Christain Bale, as always, delivers a masterful performance and carries the majority of performances. He perfectly portrays his character's inner conflict and turmoil with masterclass precision. Harry Melling's performance as the famous poet was good, and he had alot of fun playing the role; I wished his southern accent was toned down a bit. As stated, it was hard to take him seriously at points.

This film is beautiful, from the dark candlelight ambiance to the sweeping blue-grey vistas of Upstate New York. Possibly one of the pretties films of the year. Throw in a fantastic score by Howard Shore, and the ambiance created is worth watching. Overall, The Pale Blue Eye is a well-crafted movie, but it has some issues with its story. However, it's still worth the watch.
