how they grew up MiuMiu grew up pretty privileged to say the least. Didn’t have to struggle for money or opportunities, lived with both her parents and has a little sister she doesn’t much get along with. Always the golden child that explored and experimented with her parents, everything was put on her shoulders to be the mature one, the therapist when her parents weren’t getting along, the disappointment if she made any mistakes no one saw coming.

A bright star growing up, she always excelled in most things she did or at least always put in the maximum amount of effort to everything. Was never bullied nor was she the most popular kid — more accurately the dorky one that was happy to help everyone else and the others couldn’t help but like. She was always invited to the birthday parties roller skating and gave away her pieces of cake or eat the parts of cakes the other kids didn’t like (she’s a whore for the marzipan).

Nothing special or traumatic necessarily happened as she grew up, other than her parents' view of her needing to set an example and be the best at everything she does.

teenage years/before japan MiuMiu was a tough teenager to handle. She grew to resent her parents — or at least began to — for their different treatment of her and her younger sister. They would punish her *hard* for any and all mistakes, no matter big or small. Everything she did or said needed to be perfect; exam results needed to be the best in her entire year (of literally 100 people), MiuMiu’s friends perfectly curated, appearance preened to fit the perfect little box they put her in.

The rebel phase shone through these years. Going the opposite end of what her parents wanted her to do, to look like, to act. She listened to heavy music rather than the chart music they enjoyed (though she wouldn’t admit she enjoyed both), dressed in dark and edgy clothing than what was in trend at the time, stopped putting as much effort into school but still did well. Whenever her parents came into her room, there were always complaints of the mess or torn band posters hung on her wall.

Truly acting out, she was happy with herself and living her life how she wanted with the music and clothes she enjoyed; it wasn’t just a ‘fuck you’ to her parents, but it definitely helped.

The constant back and forth fighting and rebelling didn’t help as they punished her with grounding, isolation and verbal abuse. Struggling to control her emotions or communicate with anyone as she didn’t have close friends still — just that girl who doesn’t belong with any friend group but no one hates her.

About popheads, it doesn’t like male artists. The only male artist it seems to like is The Weeknd, but Harry, Ed, Bruno, Drake, Justin, are not talked about much. Conversation is heavily centered on female artists. It doesn’t coincide with what the general public likes.

They seem to be obsessed with Charli XCX for some reason. The Reddit format/layout of threads is so messy that I can't be bothered with it.
