Those Coronation photos that were released are fucking terrible! There has been one terrible photo after another; like were there any test shoots done beforehand and who is the photographer of this shoot because he or she has made some pretty poor choices when it comes to poises and whatnot?

Also, why is Charles so pale white in the photos, and then having him placed in the chair looking frumpy and slouched to the side is driving me crazy. How he is holding the scepter and orb is off as well.

* This is my Coronation review (even though I didn’t watch it instead saw a few clips on Twitter): It looked cheap and gaudy and even though it had a lot of stuff (gold carriage, horsemen, etc) the ceremony lacked gravitas, heart, etc.

I read somewhere that according to the program the Wales’s were supposed to be seated when Charles entered but the entered after because they were late? Is that true? I don’t think something this planned could be put off that bad?

If you read the service, the Wales's were not supposed to be part of that entry procession at all, it was meant to just be Camilla and Charles and their attendants. They were meant to arrive and be seated before the king even arrived at the West Gate. All other members of the family had arrived and were seated.

But William and Kate were late, most likely intentionally, and arrived after Charles, forcing him to wait for them in the carriage for quite a while. For this reason, the Waleses were incorporated into a procession that wasn't even meant for them at the very last second.

That is literally the most attention-seeking, rude, and upstaging thing you could possibly do. I don't even like Charles, but it is so clear William and Kate were miffed that they weren't getting any special fanfare during their entrance. Like, you have one fucking job to be on time and sit down, and they couldn't do that? It's not like there's traffic or anything, it was 100% intentional.
