Sometimes the universe knows exactly what you need... was feeling all stressed out yesterday morning when this lil Beauty got delivered 📖 it's the last book in The Lunar Chronicles, and it contains (amongst a few other gems!) my current favourite story; that of (Spoiler alert!) the wedding of Scarlet and Ze'ev ❤️ every time I read that story, it fills me with joy ☀️ The Lunar Chronicles are now my favourite series of books, tied with The Shadowhunter Chronicles and A Court Of Thorns And Roses Trilogy. They've gotten me through a very dark and difficult time recently; when I was stuck in a hospital bed, attached to far too many tubes and wires, unable to breathe independently, in agony, just waiting for my next spasm, these beautiful, brilliant books took me away on a glorious adventure, so much so I read the entire series twice during my last week long stint in UHW. In these books I found solace, comfort, and strength. In these books, I found friends, even though I was alone in a hospital bed. The Rampion Crew are an awesome, diverse bunch of kick ass characters, and they brought beauty to an ugly period of time. As usual, these books are so important, so dear to me, that I find it difficult to put into words how and why they're so incredible. I think, as with all my favourite series, these books tell the story of how people can suffer but survive, and then thrive. And that whilst it matters what you do with your life, it's far more important who you do it with...
