do you make art for a smaller Chinese fandom - danmei, baihe, non-queer book, cdrama based on a book, or even cdrama NOT based on a book?
do you wish more people who are interested in smaller Chinese fandoms could see your work?
tag #cnovelartreblogs when you post, and I'll see it and be able to queue it to reblog to this blog, which currently has about 500 followers specifically interested in all kinds of less-popular-in-English-speaking-spaces Chinese fandoms! while I focus on danmei, I absolutely will reblog all the categories listed above - any type of ship, from books or shows, as long as the fandom's source material is from China!
if you're not sure what qualifies, I encourage you to visit the blog and get a general idea from the massively out of date but still basically accurate aside from the old part pinned post!
I politely request that artworks for mxtx fandoms NOT be tagged with cnovelartreblogs! I check the main tags for those fandoms every day, as long as you use those tags I should see your work. #cnovelartreblogs is intended to help me find works from smaller fandoms that are often difficult to collect. I will block people who abuse the tag and make my life more difficult, so if you put things there that don't belong, your work won't get reblogged at all, so please respect my request and don't waste my time.
thanks advance, everyone! I look forward to seeing all the things you've made!

PLEASE REBLOG TO SPREAD THE WORD! People in small fandoms can be hard to find and I'd like to cast a wide net. <3
Your love will leave me lonely

I'm sorry I'm broke from all the time I spend driving myself round the bend
Drifting like I'm oil in water
you know, i am feral for futuristic sci-fi media wherein there's always this part of society that calls itself eden or garden of eden that presents itself as this utopia (but only a select part of this society is allowed in or really, it's just a fancy prison) and how at some point in the story, it is burned to the ground and usually by those who built it in the first place
i mean, there's more to it than just the gratifying feeling of burning and destroying a false paradise but also the absolute heresy in calling it eden only for it to be the complete opposite of what it should/used to represent
(there's really more to it that makes me go ape shit about this trope in media but unfortunately i currently cannot slap the words together nor can i make them coherent, so have this for now)
Literally so freaking sick of Priest to show an entire planet of people just having a peaceful day and loving their life worry free and than literally blow up that planet and kill everyone there
how might someone who cannot at all read mandarin read can ci pin (everything you have said about it makes it sound ideal but. language barrier)
don't worry gentle anon i also have a language barrier 🫡 fortunately multiple people have put in the great time and effort to translate can ci pin for english readers!!!!
ALL THE LINKS MAY BE FOUND VERY CONVENIENTLY HERE at cancipin dot carrd dot co forward slash pound novel
MY personal reading order recommendation is:
beans tl for ch 1-12
olanthanide tl for ch 13-28
gps translations tl for ch 29-48
back to beans tl for 49 straight through to the final extras (there's i think approx 210 chapters total inc extras)
i really really love the beans and olanthanide tls!! i think the gps translations tl is significantly weaker (they render chinese names as "personalname surname" [bixing lu] for some reason?? lol) but it definitely still retains a lot of the charm of the other tls. i was just skimming them all again the other day and was In Agony all over again. jesus christ. lulin
READ CAN CI PIN BY PRIEST!!!!!!!!!!
here's a little excerpt for anyone who likes clothes sharing (ch 23, tl by olanthanide)
Lin Jingheng’s gaze landed on the navy blue outfit.
Lu Bixing turned to him, and in the way that a dead pig was not afraid of scalding water, shamelessly spread his hands. “I’ve already borrowed your mech and borrowed your liquor, and now I’m borrowing your clothes. Can I buy wholesale and just count it all as one favor that I can owe you?”
Lin Jingheng wanted to say “suit yourself”, but he felt that that made him sound too cold. He thought about changing it to “it’s my honor”, but that seemed too far a departure from his usual behavior, and he was afraid of scaring the other man. His words had reached the edge of his lips before he actually choked them back from nerves. He ended up nodding hastily and used the excuse of checking the exterior air pressure and air quality to avoid Lu Bixing’s gaze.
lin jingheng most awkward man of all time!!!!!!!!!
