Lilith was accustomed to feelings of lust. Of course as the QUEEN OF SUCCUBI she inspired such a base emotion and she was not oblivious to the admiration she garnered. However, to find a mere mortal which could stir such a thing within her ( and so strongly at that ) was not something Lilith had accounted for. The very LAST PERSON she had expected was The Wanderer ; famed for her efforts to eliminate the demoness to spur such a thing.

To think that during their first meeting, the Daughter of Hatred wished to snuff the life out of Caemona. Extinguish the resistance which BURNED SO BRIGHTLY within the necromancer that the shine of that fire was practically visible in her eyes. However, Lilith was correct to have identified what a WASTE OF POTENTIAL killing The Wanderer would have been. Caemona inspired in the humans something which a demon such as herself could hardly fathom.

The admiration for the mortal grew until it spilled into... other aspects. Lilith was resistant to such a change for quite some time, as she was QUITE FAMILIAR with the risks which came along with opening one's heart. Though not even one as powerful as herself was sufficiently armored against the UNDENIABLE FONDNESS she possessed for Caemona. Her rare visits were quick to become MORE FREQUENT and inquiries strayed from the goal at hand until they had exhausted the last of Lilith's restraint.

Lilith stood beside the bed which Caemona was sat perched at the edge of, staring intently at the mortal's expression. Her hands which ended in such vicious talons cradled Caemona's face to better achieve this task. The ferocity of the appearance of her hands and monstrous nails were startlingly juxtaposed by how GENTLE the creator of sanctuary's touch was against Caemona's skin. What was it she was thinking ??? Thus far her affections seemed to have gone COMPLETELY UNNOTICED by the necromancer. This served to frustrate as well as greatly amuse Lilith, but she grew tired of the game sooner than she had expected and was now upon her quarry. Had there not even a small voice in Caemona's mind which realized how UNCHARACTERISTICALLY CAPTIVATED Lilith seemed to be ???

She hummed pensively as she attempted to decipher these questions she had. Ultimately decided it would be better suited to enjoy this moment, one which she had SO LONGED FOR. Her thumb gently brushed against the soft skin of Caemona's bottom lip, all too aware that too much pressure would EASILY break the skin there. " You mustn't be so surprised, Caemona, " she muttered as her hand moved to hold the mortal's chin, locking her gaze upwards at the demoness. Not that she HAD TO, her champion kept her stare right where Lilith wanted without any coercion. Perhaps she truly WAS as oblivious as she had let on in the past.

Lilith's hands both moved to easily wrap around the necromancer's neck and gave an affectionate but firm squeeze. " Surely you see how all are so VERY ENRAPTURED by you... by all you say... " she murmured and leaned ever closer to the mortal. By now Caemona would be able to even feel Lilith's hot breath against her face. " Could it be SO IMPRACTICAL for even I to fall victim to your charms ??? "

Yes, Lilith HAD fallen. So often was the demoness accustomed to wielding all of the power in any tryst she engaged in, most of them transactional AT BEST. However, Caemona represented what was most enthralling about humanity. The passion, the bravery, the determination. All a blend of the best qualities of angels and demons. All that which DESERVED to rule their own world and live happily. And the idealism which had a STUBBORN ROOT in her heart flourished in the presence of her champion. Her Caemona.

" Humility does become you, but it also BLINDS YOU to your power. " Lilith loosened her grip around the mortal's neck and flattened against her collarbone, softly moving down her bony chest. " You have much to give to our world, my love... " Lilith whispered before closing the distance and gently kissing Caemona's lips at last.

Lilith had sworn to remain in the shadows far from the world which she often dreamt of in the midst of the pointless violence of an unstoppable war. Never during those many centuries ago did the thought that, once she achieved her goal, she would LEAVE THAT WORLD ALONE. It remained in the capable hands of Caemona ; the shepherd which Lilith herself could never be.

Lilith had entrusted her dream to the prime candidate ; never was there one as empathetic or as brave as Caemona. How fitting one studying what her son had WORKED TIRELESSLY TO BUILD would be worthy of Lilith's trust.

Of course, she could never be absent from that appointed individual permanently. Though the demoness was ALWAYS watching, always ensuring that her judgement had not failed her she could not guarantee there would be no future meetings.

" Your work in Sanctuary shows much promise thus far, " she spoke from the opposite end of the room, all that betrayed her arrival prior to her speech were the petals which gently floated to the floor.

Just a more in-depth post on my sexuality headcanons for the characters (and remember that these are all personal headcanons, so if you don’t agree with something please relax):

Daemona - Bi. The first time I watched PI I noticed all her ship tease with Kira (first episodes I watched were “From Egypt, With Love” and “Haunted Dreams”, which are Kimona goldmines). But I also noticed plenty of shiptease with Casey, especially in “Birthday Presence”. So I figured “yeah, she’s definitely bi”. I multiship anyway; I ship both Caemona and Kimona (I don’t ship her and Jericho, though- they just seem to have a more brother-and-sister-like bond).

Kira - Pan. See the ship tease with her and Daemona. But she’s been flirty with several minor male characters and has a little bit of ship tease with Jericho (in both “Secrets Exposed!” and a deleted shot in “Skating The Plank” that was in the storyboards, she clings onto him when scared). I decided to headcanon her as pan because hey, I wanted to make more pan headcanons anyway and I can see her as pan. Again, I ship both Kimona and Kiracho (I don’t ship her and Casey since they don’t really have much interaction).

Jericho - Demi. One thing I noticed with Jer was that he never was shown to have any one-episode crushes on minor or unseen characters (Kira had her crushes on Jason and Joey, Casey on Terri, meanwhile Wad mentions Daemona having a crush on some kid named Jasper Rusack in her diary; he may have been from her old school). But I love his chemistry with Kira and Casey- who he’s already formed close bonds with. So yes, I ship Kiracho and Casicho; both are just so cute.

Casey - Pan. There’s his ship tease with Monie and his crush on Terri in “Were-Dog”, but I also really love his closeness with Jericho that I’ve ended up shipping both Caemona and Casicho. And again, I wanted to have more pan headcanons and I just saw Casey as pan.

Navarro - Aroace. I figured that being immortal would mean it would be tough to get into any romantic relationships, but then I figured that if he just never felt the attraction to begin with, it wouldn’t be that big a deal anyway. Plus, I wanted to have more aromantic and asexual headcanons; I see him as aroace.

Jinxie - Gay. Because why not?

Wad - Straight.

I often say that Hal and Mary is proof that Caemona (Daemona x Casey) would be endgame had PI lasted longer. Dorky redheaded leader (Mary if she is redheaded canonically and Daemona) with cheesy rhymes falls for cute bookworm in glasses (Hal and Casey). But you know something? Hal and Mary can also be proof for a Kimona (Kira x Daemona) endgame. Hal and Daemona falling for telepathics (Mary and Kira).

Lilith was not accustomed to soft touches, ones meant to express one's affection for another and nothing more. The Queen of Succubi did not receive such tenderness ; all she knew was contact which felt akin to tearing the skin in a ravenous attempt to sate desire. Caemona touching her was NOTABLY DIFFERENT ; she was not looking to ravage Lilith. All her intentions were simply to appreciate, to unify.

The Mother of Sanctuary knew what it was to partake in a holy communion. After all, it was of Caemona taking of her own blood which intertwined their fates. However, to just feel her gentle touch was more sacred than any sacrament that even the highest of priests could carry out.

A contented sigh passed from betwixt her full lips, her discolored eyes closing as she allowed herself to relax into the necromancer's comfort. " Is this what it is your kind speak of when writing your plays and melodies ??? " she muttered, forgetting herself completely whilst her champion tended to her.
