Micha was almost finished with the book he was currently reading as he sat on Toby’s bed. They’d been spending a lot of time together recently, even if it was just co-existing in the same room. As he flipped through the last couple of pages, his eyes lifted every once in a while to watch Toby scrawling away. Finally, he put his book down and made his way over to the man. Wrapping his arms around his boyfriend from behind, Micha smiled softly and pressed a kiss to his neck. “Are you almost finished? I was thinking we should do something fun. We could spend some time in the game room, if we wanted. I can’t remember what our pool score is, but I think I’ve gotten better. Enough to confidently take you on, anyway,” he teased, flirtatiously.

it wasn't like tobias had a knight in shining armor complex. in fact he usually went out of his way to avoid getting involved in other people's shit. he hadn't even wanted to go to the party but his old roommate had insisted on it. all he had intended on doing was watching some old horror flicks before passing out. it had been another grueling phone call with his father who wanted to know when he intended on buckling down. he had noticed some guy who was clearly wasted was hassling her. he had been content nursing his beer up until he realized that it was getting worse. he rolled his eyes before setting the cup down and pushing his way through the crowd. only to clear his throat, going to wrap his arms around her from behind," hey pretty girl," he cooed, pretending like he had no clue what was happening," sorry i was late, did you miss me?" he was praying that she would play along.
