I can't say I'm familiar with the name, but I've always loved Ophiocordyceps as a concept. What a fascinating fungus. There's a type of Japanese Cicada that is perfectly symbiotic to the normally fatal mushroom.

Hm... Come to think of it, there was a school near Middleborough with the name Ophiuchus. Odd.

Honestly, I really love the idea that the approach with the next gen tends to be “it takes a village” just bc of how embedded the sisters are in each other’s lives. I’ve mentioned it before in the tags of this post, but the idea that you wouldn’t be able to match parents/child or siblings of each set bc you just can’t really tell. I don’t know, just the idea of Piper making cupcakes for the twins’ class while Phoebe gives Mel advice about a boy while Leo teaches Phoebe’s daughter how to drive while Henry teaches Chris how to throw a punch and so on just hits for me for some reason. 

Especially when it comes to trouble, like a demon attack during a Warren family dinner night? Paige pulls Wyatt out of the way of a Darklighter attack, and doesn’t even need to look to know that Coop and Piper will do the same thing for her daughters. Whenever trouble pops up, they’d protect any of the kids with their own life, as if they were their own, no matter whose they actually are.

Re: your holiday post- I think Pixandria has a holiday/celebration in August (Deserts tend to get the most rain in august), and a lot of the traditions for this one come from old, forgotton festivals for the storm gods, where the meaning of certain traditions got lost to time, but the traditions themselves didnt

They also have a festival of lights where they light sparklers and fireworks :) (I think a few empires have some sort of festival of lights actually)

Ahhh I love this is is so cool! Interesting desert fact and lore that is so real. I believe very much in Grimlands having a lights festival or at least much of their holidays incorporating fireworks and sparkles so it’s nice to see that love spread :) maybe Rivendell had one that Italians the northern lights as a myth is of some kind hmmm lore opportunity fr

Subcon Lore?? Real??

So, i thought it'd be fun to share some of Subconcious's lore [all in one place, just in case i repeat things]- just a bunch of unorganized hcs and things for this vessel character [im really not used to gushing about ocs so im sorry in advance]

With that, uh- enjoy ig!!

-The mask was carefully stolen from the grimm troupe, although thats more so because they wanted to borrow it without anyone noticing and then forgot to return it.

-They are forgetful, often times theyll easily forget your name and ask again.

-Their main means of communication is via dream realm.

-They are completely fluent in sign language.

-In the dream realm, their voice mimics that if the bug whos dream theyre in, which is another reason they avoid the dreaming.

-More so a Soul hc, but i see it as a relatively glowy substance, not enough to be fully light source but enough that it shows. With that in mind, Subcon's joints do glow! They have a heafty store of soul more or less all the time, and it does shine through. [see below]

-The mask does take a lot out of them, due to the lack of true connection to the troupe, this leaves them often tired.

-They reside in The City Of Tears, location of housing usually away from others and constantly changing.

-Theyre quite weak, aside from spells, and usually chooses not to fight- often seeming shy or avoident of other bugs.

-The mask, due to being from the troupe, is what causes their very grimm-troupe-like appearence in the dream realm, though the painted horns are their own idea.

-They are absolutely terrifed of the grimm troupe, especially grimm, due to their theivery- yet they still cant think of returning the mask.

-They do not wield a nail, though will if handed one. They mostly use spells for defense, finding it easier or coming more natural.

-Their rib-like stomach plates are a disformity, leaving a squishier void-y underside exposed slightly- Please don't poke it though, kinda hurts them...

Im working on a zombie virus/alien book. I cannot say if it'll be completed but ive worked on it nearly every day so who knows. I'm just struggling with figuring out how long to make it and if it should be split into a series or not.

Essentially, a race of aliens unleashed a horrible virus onto humanity to kill them off so that they can use the earth as farming/vacation/ ect. planet. Humanity takes a huge loss, about 99% of humanity succumbs to the virus, leaving a little under 81 million people scattered and barely surviving. The galactic council takes notice and sends several types of aliens to help humanity as they have the cure and resources to take in survivors onto their planets. The story takes place a year into the aliens offer of aid and follows the story of Aelin, a 22 year old woman who's been surviving in her family home with only her pets as company. Aelin has been alone with only her pets as company since she was 16 years old, until one day she is discovered and reunited with her loved ones at a survivors camp. Then transported to a fantastical planet to make a new life.

It will have romance elements with an alien. I plan to make it more feel good with some harder, dark elements as well. But I want something a little more hopeful and feel good in the end. It will be an adult sci-fi/fantasy.

I'm only a few pages in with a rough outline for the rest but if i want, really want, to be a published author one day i need to get off my ass and write it. But i needed input on if it would be better as a series or one off. As a reader, would a series be more enjoyable or would a one off be?

So, for some reason or another, I got this urge to try and draw top surgery scars last night. Even though I have retained no knowledge on how to draw shirtless people.

They're gonna go under the cut because this techncally counts as nudity, doesn't it? I dunno but just to be safe.

I started off with [MOST of] the trans members of 3JTKA (or at least those who had/look like they've had some form of top surgery)

So Meds had fishmouth scars, Shadow looks like they have double incision scars but those marks are something else entirely, and Zen has keyhole scars that are not seen here (lollipops, apparently is what those ones are called)

And then I remembered one of the Tangent Heroes In-Between comics when they were in the hospital and drew this:

In the comic, Rupert actually had just the standard double incision scars, but I changed it to t-anchor scars.

Anyway! That was interesting, hope they look alright 😁

what is Bendy? I had seen a few questions about him as a person and that he is a demon and he's not supposed to exist or in the world where the reader lives in more so

so what exactly is he? i find it interesting as he is one of the few characters in the book where we dont know much about him, like we know that Cuphead and Mugman came from their home in search for elder kettle, and then Felix from what was recently found out, was that he had been on his own ever since a child bc of his moms passing, which by the way i do think that also links with her having the ink illness, and then theres Panchito who we techncally dont have much abt him other than that he can from mexico in search for everyone and lives on a farm, and then you mentioned oswald is the older brother of Mickey and does have relations with the others he just hasnt been around bc of his own reasons and then donald, well he's donald from as far as i know, the only two to me that are really mysterious to me is Y/n and Bendy, and thats soley bc of the fact that it was mentioned they were close friends, yet they dont meet each other up until recently, and we have no idea who y/n is in fact, its already known that she dosent even have friends bc of the fact that she's almost ALWAYS at home,which can explain for her very offish way with talking to people and how it seems to me she has a hard time making friends, ive came to terms that she probably was secluded all her life BECAUSE of Bendy, and you also hinted at that too awhile back, which to me can either mean Bendy isnt necessarily a good person, or maybe at first he wasnt to which made y/n's family just sort of stopped being around him. I find it cool that he's hinted at being a real demon as he has the power to grant wishes, I have even more theories im going to SEND!!!

Bendy is a demon, yes. And I can see the hundreds of theories you sent. 😭
