Butch and Sundance has to be the funniest book I’ve ever read like I didn’t realise that a book could have impeccable comedic timing
I mean, the bar full of cowboys dancing together was also a great feature, but mostly the comedy

god damn, no matter how old I get, I’m always going to be drawn to the chaotic, impulsive, probably gay, spiritually “little guy”* characters with hearts of gold, won’t I?
*sometimes the little guy is over 6 feet and that’s fine. it’s all about the energy they give off. and that energy is IM READY FOR ACTION

Another old post... this is a badly formatted comic but I wanted to finish it so it wouldn't stay a coloured sketch anymore :0

I’m two chapters into Butch and Sundance and this has to be the funniest and most chaotic way to introduce a main character. No tragic backstory for Butch Cassidy. Just getting hurled out of his prison bunk for his terrible harmonica playing, and then complaining that the sheriff wouldn’t let him buy a gun even though he promised not to commit any more crimes (lie)

[George Roy Hill]'s theory was that Etta was probably one of Fannie Porter's prostitutes and just how close a friend she was to Butch as well as Sundance is left to speculation. But he always felt there was something there probably of a three-way relationship that couldn't be shown in the time that we made this picture. And probably had nothing to do with the picture we were doing anyway. (Robert J. Crawford, Documentary Director)
