So for this au, Mary Ellen possesses Jillian Zinman and everyone needs to find a way to get her back while getting rid of Mary Ellen.

So my au start when Slappy throws Mary Ellen to the table saw but he quickly gets away from the saw.

He then goes towards Jillian and demands her to marry him.

As she was about to respond, she screams.

Slappy, Harrison, and the twins watched in confusion because it sounded like she was hurt. Harrison grabs Slappy and accuses him of doing something to her which he denies but admits that something doesn’t feel right.

As Jillian is finished screaming and is sitting on the floor panting, the barf is going away for some reason.

Later the parents come and see that the party is clean. They asked if the children like the show and for some reason, everyone looked like they were forced to say it with fake smiles.

Jillian’s parents were delighted that the show went well and went towards Jillian and Slappy. Jillian respond that the show went well and everyone laugh, but Harrison, with Slappy in his arms, kept looking at her weirdly because she wasn’t talking normally.

Jillian's parents were about to as the twins a question when they noticed Mary Ellen was gone. The twins were about to respond until Jillian explained that the twins told her they didn’t want her anymore so she put her somewhere else and that there were going to be no more fights anymore now that they made up.

The parents are overjoyed and leave,

Jillian turns to the twins, and Harrison, who has a fake sleeping Slappy in his hands.

She smiles at them. She blinks but when she opened her eyes, they were purple. She blinked again and turned back to green.

The four couldn’t believe it. But they couldn’t say anything.

So now it's up to Slappy, Harrison, and the twins to get Jillian back.

After the party, Jillian’s dad tells Harrison that he can now take a look at Slappy so they can use him in future shows. However, it would now mean that with Mary Elllen in Jillian’s body, she can get Slappy.

Slappy then grips Harrison after Jillian’s dad comments. Harrison says that he is happy but then says that his mom found some clothes for him that he needs to try on now because they were going to be donated soon. Jillian’s dad understands but he wants him to know that he might have time now.

Harrison gets the twins and Slappy alone to talk about what happened. As Slappy explains that Mary Ellen possessed Jillian but he said that he didn’t know that would happen because not all dolls can do that unless they are very powerful.

The twins ask if they can get rid of Mary Ellen, and Slappy says yes, however it might be hard and he needs to remember how and the fact that he needs help.

Harrison doesn’t trust Slappy but they decided to make a truce after Harrison threaten Slappy to leave him in Mary Ellen’s arms right now. Slappy agrees to help but can not pull pranks on anyone and will not force Jillian to marry him. The twins did say that they can reintroduce him to Jillian when she gets back to normal to be friends, even though Harrison doesn’t like it but it makes Slappy happy.

Harrison and the twins agree not to give Slappy to Mary Ellen or get rid of him, as they fear he might possess someone else too,

Now moving on with life

With Mary Ellen in Jillian's body, she changes her clownish tomboyish theme room to a girlier one, and getting rid of most of her closes possessions. She even destroys some of her stuff, knowing how much it means to her.

She almost gets rid of Petey, Jillian's pet lizard, until one of her sisters asked for him, keeping him safe for Jillian.

Mary Ellen also dresses up her way, with nice dresses, and ruins Jillian's reputation at school.

Weeks later, her parents are wondering why Jillian is acting like that and ask the twins. Their dad jokes about how those dresses remind him of Mary Ellen, with the twins flinching. The twins play along and say that she might be possessed but her parents finally think that this was a phase but they ask where Harrison is because he doesn’t come around that much.

He does but secretly so he can talk to the twins.

At first Mary Ellen thought that the twins would be on her side but they decided to not let her boss them around, but Mary Ellen will stage some pranks that gets blamed on them but they will gladly take the blame since they still want thier freedom from the former doll.

Harrison does have Jimmy’s diary that he let Slappy use but only in he’s there just in case Slappy breaks the truce if he finds something that can be used against him. (Not relevant to the story but Slappy does ended up getting a new suit. I think it would be the gray one and they had to get him new clothes so the lie about brining Slappy to the Cohen’s house looked true.)

The ending would be that Slappy finally finds a way to get rid of Mary Ellen as there is a way to remove souls from one body to another and tells Harrison. But they would need another doll to do this with. As Harrison went to get a doll from the attic real quick, Slappy tears a mind control page and puts it in his pocket.

Mary Ellen was not only ruining Jillians’s life by being her, but also Harrison by making up rumors as more people bully him. He uses that as an excuse to the Zinman family to why he is not going to their house anymore. Jillain’s parent would tell “Jillian” to apologize to Harrison and be friends again. Until the day finally comes and Mary Ellen threatens him that she will ruin his whole life if he doesn’t come to her house with Slappy. Thankfully Slappy already found the spell so he agrees with her.

Jillain’s parents had to go somewhere as they leave “Jillain”, Harrison, the twins, and Slappy at their house. Harrison came to the house with a large bag where he takes out Slappy, but not the other doll that he has.

Mary Ellen tells Harrison that his life would be back to normal if he gives her Slappy. Which he reluctantly agrees. As Mary Ellen holds Slapppy in her arms, she explains how much she wanted to be with him but she had to be in the body of the girl she hated the most but Mary Ellen knew that Slappy has liked Jillian as she explain to him that he would still have Jillian in a way.

Slappy is not exactly happy with this but the problem is that she has to be holding the other doll so the spell would work, and if not, who knows what soul will go into to who.

Slappy, trying very hard to act lovingly to her, tells her that he has a gift for her in the bag.

Mary Ellen is touched as she goes to the bag, placing Slappy on a table. Slappy secretly pulls out the note but doesn’t realize that the other note fell. That paper landed near Harrison as he picks it up.

Harrison is shocked but angry that Slappy has found the mind control spell. Harrison however made a noise that made Mary Ellen look. As she sees a piece of paper in his hand, she assumed that he was going to curse her.

She jumps back, with the bag in her hand and demands Harrison what he has. As Harrison says it was nothing as he tried to hide it, Mary Ellen grabs one of the twins and threatened to hurt her.

Harrison then grabs Slappy and whispers that he’s a backstabber, and threatens to hurt Slappy if anything happened to the twin. For a while they were arguing, Slappy forgot about the note that was not on the floor. But it was not forgotten by the twins. They looked at each other and nodded.

Harrison and Mary Ellen got dangerously close to each other but did not want to back down.

The twin then bites Mary Ellen, as Mary Ellen was about to grab the twin again Harrison grabs her arm but still keeps Slappy away from her. As that is happening, the other twin grabs the note and reads it, trying to look only at Mary Ellen.

As soon as she was done reading the note, Mary Ellen screams as Harrison was knocked back with Slappy.

Everyone watched as Mary Ellen’s soul went to the new doll that was still in the bag.

Harrison quickly got up and ran with the bag outside as the garbage truck pass by. He threw the screaming bag in there and went back into the house.

They went around Jillian as she was laying on the floor. She slowly got up and asked what happened. They explain that she got possessed by Mary Ellen and is free now.

Jillian is horrified at what Mary Ellen has been doing and hates the dress she was wearing but promises that everything will be back to normal.

However, they still have to figure out what to do with Slappy who was lying unconscious on the floor after being knocked down. But they decided to deal with him later.

As the twins went towards their room, Jillian was in the room with Harrison as they looked at her new room. She is sad that some of the things are missing but Harrison promises to get her more meaningful stuff.

She asks like what.

He responds with a wedding ring.

Jillian quickly turns towards Harrison.

Harrison then grabs her very close as he smiles sweetly at her.

His eyes turning into a familiar blue as he calls her his bride.

Silent Night

I ain’t entirely sure she can help that all the time.

Those words had troubled Jillian when Martha said them, now all the more as she’d shown herself to know even more than she had hinted at that day. She was wrong that day, of course. It wasn’t that she was an instrument, but that the Word was a part of her. It came as naturally to her as breathing, and she could choose to hold her breath for a time, but she could certainly not restrain it forever. She was the Word, and the Word was her. Perhaps that was why the angel had said she could not return. Perhaps no mere human could understand it at all. Perhaps...

The night was empty, void of any answers, and the weight of Heaven wore heavy upon her shoulders.

But a silent night was a welcome respite of solitude. Sleep had come poorly to her, much less any thought of conversation around the campfire earlier. Whether it was the lingering pain of still healing injury or restless thoughts that kept Jillian awake in the dark, she couldn’t tell. But her troubles were far beyond the aches, or perhaps precisely because of them. A few hours keeping watch on the empty wastes would, at least, help settle her mind. Or so she hoped, the last days’ memories still painfully fresh.

Things had gotten out of hand, far too out of hand. She had butted heads with lawmen before, some of them just as good intentioned as this sheriff, but not like this. She had tried, she had tried to end it quickly, to simply make them leave before anyone could be hurt, when there had been no time for explanations with Reba in danger. And now a trio of decent lawmen were left dead, Martha’s own husband among them, because she hadn’t been able to compel them all to leave the matter well enough alone.

But once there had been time that day of the shootout, Jillian had little stomach for explanation, content to let the others explain, even to let others talk of the Word as if they understood it. Perhaps she had simply been too tired, too pained, but...

Whatever force the Lord is will sometimes do what it will with its instruments.

But did Martha really know? She had said herself that she came from another world, and she was not even sure how the Lord might fit into that. But Jillain, of course, had even less of an understanding.

She had wrote in her own words of her worries to Isaac, at least a hint of them. She hardly understood the power she had been given, but such a description gnawed at her. The angel’s declarations gnawed at her.

The world of mortal concerns is no longer yours. That road is no longer open to you.

Jillian thought of the letter, and wanted nothing more than to go home to the embrace of her husband.

She looked up to the sky, unsure whether her restless thoughts were leading her to pray or brood. The silence was a small comfort, regardless, slowly starting to let her thoughts settle, or so she tried to. There had been a time when silence was more comfortable for her, on the long rides across the countryside. When Isaac had been with her. They could spend an entire day together in the fields with barely a word, when a touch and gesture meant everything, things that neither of them could express so eloquently otherwise.

But now there was only the stars twinkling silently in the sky. The light of the moon was just barely bright enough to see the photograph of herself and Isaac as she drew the locket out from under her shirt. She almost couldn’t recognize the young woman in the picture, despite only the few years it had been since the wedding, since she had left. The last she had seen her reflection in a mirror, there was a hardness in her eyes now, a weathering just faintly marring her face. But what did Isaac looked like, now? Had he changed?

Jillian’s breath hitched abruptly, longing turning to a sudden tightness in her chest.

Her husband was despairing without her and all the while three decent lawmen were now dead. But would they have been able to seal the rift and kill the Undertaker if they hadn’t gained Martha’s help, help they had enlisted because they had been brought to her home? Sometimes, fulfilling the Lord’s will was obvious, so obvious it filled her all the more with His power. But other days...

Endless questions still remained, but she only twisted her eyes shut, forcing slow, purposeful breaths in and out, until the tension started to ease once more. Bowing her head, she started to murmur, “Our Father, who art in heaven...”

For a moment, Jillian thought she heard a faintest whisper, but there was only the wind blowing through the desert, the breeze turning to a warm touch across her shoulders.

“I missed you too.”

Fin would have thought hearing those words would have made him feel better, but they didn’t, if he hadn’t have left in the first place there would have been no missing to do in the first place. It was so unexpected when Jillian offered him a beer that Fin forgot to reply, instead just clambering over the merch table after her and gratefully taking the beer from her, he took a swig. “Thanks”, he said, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and took a seat on the chair Jillian had pushed his way. A little puzzled Fin watched Jillian drink the beer, for a second he forgot why he found this so odd, but the he remembered Jillain didn’t drink. It was the one thing they’d always argued about back when they were dating, Fin had been really bad with his drinking habits back then, he’d mellowed out in the past five years. There had been a couple of occasions Jillian had taken him to the hospital to have his stomach pumped, not some of his most responsible moments.

Fin thought it better not to bring up Jillian’s drinking and instead just sat quietly, it had been five years, things had changed, this was one of them. When Jillian mentioned the songs she’d been singing were about him Fin shrugged then nodded his head, yeah, that made sense. I'm not so naive, my sorry eyes can see, the way you fight shy of almost everything. It sure sounded like him. “Yeah, a lot of our songs are about you too.” Fin replied. There were actually very few songs Fin had written that didn’t relate back to Jillian in some way or other. “You could come check out our set later mayb-”, Fin was cut off by Jillian’s phone buzzing, he watched as she pulled out her medication and swallowed the pills. This made him sad. About a year after he’d left Orlando Fin had gone on anti-depressants but with his bad drinking habits they had only made him worse and he stopped taking them. Now he just had good days and bad days, and on the bad days he just drank more and pushed through.

“The tour has been good”, Fin replied, he nodded his head and felt an unintentional smile spread across his face, he couldn’t help it, “It’s been really great actually”, he looked up from his beer can at Jillian. You would have loved it, Fin thought.

“Dave, there you are!” Fin looked away from Jill to see the bassist from his band, Travis, stood across from them, he looked stressed. “We’re going on now, like six minutes from now, the band before us their tour bus broke down, we gotta go”. Fin looked over at Jill, “I-I gotta go, please find me after the show, I wanna talk to you more, please?”, he stood up from his chair pre-show nerves kicking in in full force. “In fact- can you come? You could stand back stage, it’ll be awesome, you wanna?”. It was easy to tell that Fin’s head was racing as he would usually overthink this offer, but he clambered over the merch table towards Travis then looked back at Jill, “Coming?”.
