Not Ok MV Analysis
When Not Ok dropped, I was floored. It’s so good!!! So, as one does, I watched MV again and again too. At about the third time around, I began to realize that each of the member’s scenes are connected to the original Fever Diaries. So without further ado, here’s my analysis;
Hongjoong is stuck watching a screen, and the words he sees, (missing, alone, loneliness, behind, family, mother) connect back to his original dream; to become famous, like the people on tv, so his family would notice him. So he would no longer be alone. That’s his ‘trauma’. And in the end, the only way for him to break free is to destroy the phone.
Tumblr media
You could argue his scenes are commentary on our modern reality, addiction, the horrors of constant media consumption, etc… and they are somewhat, but even more than that it’s about how the ideals of media effected his dreams. His addiction wasn’t the phone itself, but the unrealistic ideal of who to be. The idea that a perfect family exists, or that people are never lonely. That becoming perfect would change anything. At the end of the song most of them are able to break free of their ‘trauma’, and HJ does it by destroying what originally set him on his path.
Tumblr media
I think for Hongjoong, freedom is realizing he doesn’t need to be that false ideal to have what he wants. That not everyone is perfect, and that if he doesn’t want to be alone, he needs to run for it in real life, not in some imaginary one.
Yunho sees his brother, flickering, glitching, and eventually disappearing. They’re in a theater, possibly like his brother might have once performed at. We don’t know too much about his brother from the diaries except that he liked playing music, and had a messed up leg, but I think it’s plausible that he would’ve performed at local theaters. As for why Yunho sees him…I think it’s supposed to represent his obsession. The theater itself represents his mind, how he’s constantly searching for traces of his brother.
Tumblr media
In the Fever diaries, Yunho blames himself for his brother being in a coma, so much so that he starts following his brother’s dream; music. Then of course, through music, he met the guys and started traveling through time. It seemed like he’d moved on somewhat. Yet, in World Diaries when he met his brother in the past, he refused to leave him. In the end, when he chose to find the members again, his brother got hurt in the collateral. Possibly even killed this time. (Something possibly supported by the flies on the clothes in the MV.) So it’s safe to say that his guilt and fear are still fresh as ever.
Tumblr media
(Yes this is a screenshot from YH’s scene. It’s what convinced me that it’s his brother) Overwhelmed with that guilt, Yunho’s been following his brother’s dream, this whole time. This whole time. It makes me think that maybe his brother disappearing at the end, in the same way the other break free from their shackles, is him gaining freedom. In the end, to live free, he needs to break out of his brother’s dream and live his own. No matter how much he loves his brother, to truly achieve something great, it needs to be his own will.
Seonghwa and Yeosang are in the same room, because their original ‘trauma’ was the same. Both of them were trapped due to rules and schedules. Yeosang was trapped in a ‘perfect’ life by an external force, his father, whereas Seonghwa was trapped in the same life, but by his own mind.
Tumblr media
Both of them are playing Go, under heavy surveillance. Both of them have heavy, expensive looking watches on, that are constantly flashing with the words: obey, money, do work, fame, success, wake up, control. Those watches are their ‘shackles’ the constant goals, reminders, timers. You could think of it like a smart watch, literally giving reminders, but I think it’s supposed to be a literal watch. Time is counting down, but they only think of it as things they have to do, not as something mutable. Numbers, letters, strategies. Life is a game to be won, not a journey to be enjoyed.
Yeosang is the first to wake up, but there’s nothing he can do about it. He’s in a cage, and can’t escape on his own. (Interesting to me, because he saves the members in the diaries, but he cant save himself.) In the world diaries, when he fully breaks away from his father’s thinking, he attributes it to being with the others. It’s a change that happened in his own mind, but he needed someone to show him there was hope. He couldn’t do it alone. In the MV it’s the same. He wants to break free, but can’t alone. This is the play that triggered YS to wake up. vv
Tumblr media
I think it’s significant for a handful of reasons. First, he’s losing, something that shouldn’t happen in his ‘perfect’ world. Second, his piece is fully boxed in (which is overkill). It’s caged, just like him. Third, and most interesting to me, is that the four Xs around a piece in Go are called liberties. So he’s quite literally had his liberties taken.
Seonghwa only wakes up when he sees the clock. In the diaries, SH woke up when he saw the girl dancing, it was a trigger for him to change how he was living. Unlike YS, no one was forcing SH to live perfectly. All the rules and schedules he followed like a religion, he made up himself. For him, deciding to change his life was completely internal, triggered by something anyone could’ve experienced. It’s the same in the MV. Seonghwa wakes up easily, but only after seeing the clock. Realizing that his life is ticking down to nothing, without him ever really living.
Tumblr media
After waking up, Seonghwa is able to remove his watch easily. Proof that he had it on of his own volition. Then once free, he's able to free Yeosang who can’t escape on his own.
As for Wooyoung and Mingi, they are both in the same room, yet alone. Their fears were also both incredibly similar, their fears were other people. At first you would think they would be together in the room, but part of what made their fear so strong was being alone. So they’re together, but separate. When the two of them are first shown, they’re both on a little stage surrounded by masked figures. At first I didn’t realize the significance of the scene, but then I realized; The figures are facing different directions. On Wooyoung’s side the figures face him, while on Mingi’s side they face away from him. This little detail characterizes their fears well; Wooyoung is afraid of people’s stares, while Mingi hates being alone.
Tumblr media
Wooyoung’s struggle, as characterized in the Fever diaries, is stage fright. While his screen time doesn’t seem very significant at first, it’s clear he’s afraid. The masked figures are looking at him. He surrounded, trapped on stage a tiny stage and they’re laughing (???) at him. I think people who struggle with stage fright and public speaking would agree that it’s a terrifying predicament. At the end of the MV he manages to break free by performing anyway, even with his fear. And he blows them all away.
Tumblr media
Another thing I thought was interesting was the short but intense zoom on his necklace. Shots like this wouldn’t happen unless they were 100% on purpose. (Because it’s weird ToT) In his first Diary, WY says that his fear was like a “chain that was tying my body”. So the chain necklace could represent part of his fear. It’s collaring him in the same way the watches shackled YS and SH for their scenes.
Mingi loved music, but as escapism. He was lonely and used music as a way to hide from how he actually felt. His ‘trauma’. In the beginning, there are a good handful of shots of him standing alone on a stage. Sometimes there are men in black like Wooyoung have, but most of the time they’re either facing away from him, or flickering like they’re not really there. That’s his ‘trauma’; being alone.
Tumblr media
His scenes were the hardest for me to analyze out of all the members. Yet they’re what also made me realize that Not Ok is connected to Fever Diaries. This shot of him putting in his earbuds is the reason I was even able to write this analysis. vv
Tumblr media
It parallels his scenes in Diary Film so perfectly that it made me go back and reevaluate the whole MV from a Fever perspective.
To be honest, Mingi’s scenes stumped me for quite some time. Like weeks and weeks kinda time. After all that time thinking, I’ve come to the conclusion that the MV is supposed to show him coming to love music more for what it is than for the ability to hide in it. At some point he begins to use music as a way to connect with people as opposed to a way to push them away. (Like how the guys in black join him to dance.) For Mingi music is an unhealthy coping mechanism, but it’s also the path he chose for himself. If used the right way, it can give him strength to keep going and the ability to relate to others. He hasn’t won his inner battle yet, but he’s definitely getting closer.
San is running, (something he seems to be doing every single comeback). I think his running is supposed to be yet another callback to the og Fever Diary Film where he’s being forced to move again, and as he’s going down the escalator he changes his mind and runs back to the warehouse. Back to his friends and dancing. In the MV he’s being held back by two faceless men in a hall full of moving boxes. As the lights flicker the men turn invisible. (More proof that everything in the MV is happening entirely in their minds.) I don’t know who or what the men are supposed to represent, maybe they’re supposed to represent his parents, or maybe they represent his doubts and fears holding him back.
Tumblr media
Towards the end he’s being sucked down a tunnel trying desperately to crawl out as something is racing towards him. At first I thought it was just particles, or grains of sand like in the cromer, going to suck him back into his ‘trauma’, but after watching it over and over again I realized; They’re toy trucks. Moving vans. The thing he was originally running from. He’s still trying to run.
Jongho’s is actually the most straightforward, even tho it took me a while to realize. When you see his scenes it’s easy to focus on the screens, because a few of the others have screens too (and they’re strobing so it’s super distracting.) What’s actually important though is what’s on the screens. It all ties back to that original injury in his first Fever Diary. In the og Fever Diary Jongho is depressed because he loves basketball sustained a horrible injury that made him unable to ever play again. In the diary he voices that he’s not just suffering from losing his dream, but also the realization that everyone left him behind.
Tumblr media
At the start of the music video they split trauma into mental and physical, and Jongho’s is both. For his scenes he’s lying alone in a bed, in an empty room surrounded by screens. A good sum of loneliness. That’s where what’s on the screens comes in: All the screens are playing videos of people or animals running. Something he can no longer do. He can’t leave, can’t run, and he’s forced to watch other people do what he cannot.
Tumblr media
When he starts trying to break away from the screen’s control on his mind, it shows a spider, meant to reflect his situation. He’s caught, stuck in a web, and can’t escape. For him, the breaking of the screens (similar to HJ in drowning the phone) is proof of him trying to break free from his ‘trauma’. In the MV, Jongho never manages to break the screens. He doesn’t escape but he’s trying his best. And the cracks in the screens prove that one day, he will succeed. ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧//✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
There are some things I noticed in the MV that I didn’t understand, or know where to put. 1) Throughout the whole MV it’s ’snowing’. It could be ash, but it’s in almost every solo scene regardless of whose scene it is. I feel like it’s supposed to be something to show that they're all in the same kind of dream, or perhaps in the same place outside of it. 2) San’s necklace. San is wearing a ring on a his necklace. It could just be a fashion accessory but to me it looks too deliberate to be a purely aesthetic choice.
But I think that’s where I’ll end for now;
In each of the members scenes, they’re fighting themselves. Trying to break out of their own trauma, and gain the freedom to pursue their dreams of their own will. There are some whose internal conflict isn’t resolved, and some who seem to have broken out of said ‘trauma’. Yet all of them are trying, struggling, and helping eachother where they can. Much like real life.
If I made any mistakes or you have anything to add plz feel free to. As always, if you made it this far ily! Thanks for reading 💕

Chapter 4
You felt off all day.
It was something you couldn’t explain. Out of nowhere that morning, you woke up with a slight headache and a sudden uneasy feeling that refused to go away until late in the afternoon. It was Friday, and you decided to close early due to your bizarre state. You planned a night-in with some warm tea, hearty soup and a marathon of a new series you started.
Currently, while finishing up cleaning the tables and organising the chairs, you paid no attention to anything and swayed mindlessly to the soft music in your headphones with the fresh scent of lavender filling the room which you were using to wipe the tables down. Your friends had already left for the evening and the skyline of Seoul provided a composed and serene atmosphere, one which you were very grateful for at this time.
You pondered the cause for your sudden headache and a spike in anxiety. Werewolves rarely got sick, the main reason may be because of exhaustion, but as far as you could recall, you weren’t over-exerting or pushing yourself too hard. While the beginning of your journey was far from effortless, you paced yourself when it came to facing challenges. Because you knew if you overworked yourself, especially since you were still recovering at the time, Jisung wouldn’t hesitate to tell Chan and Minho. You could handle Chan but you were afraid of an angry Minho.
As you continued to lose yourself in your thoughts and music, you didn't hear the bell of your cafe ring. However, you felt your emotions suddenly shift and there was a rapid electric rush through your body. Following it was a pull you knew all too well.
It couldn’t be?
You spun around and halted at the figure in front of you. He was still slightly dripping wet, his hair damp and his clothes stuck to him but his face glowed beautifully. His eyes sparkled and he panted with a slight smile beginning to form as he looked at you in awe and admiration.
Song Mingi, your soulmate, and one of the loves of your life stood in front of you in the flesh. It had been six months since you last saw him and the last time you saw him was during the worst times of your life, one that took a lot of therapy to start unpacking. Luckily, Chan knew someone who helped you immensely in deconstructing all the walls you had built.
You thought a lot about this moment, coming face to face with one of your soulmates and unravelling all the feelings and emotions that had been buried inside you for so long. There were times when you wracked your brain with so many different scenarios, playing out what you would say, how you would act and your responses when they responded. You hoped to prepare yourself for the imminent confrontation but truthfully, you were far from well-prepared.
As Mingi approached you cautiously, you were stumped. So many questions began to flood your mind. What are you supposed to do? Should you be aloof and standoffish? Should you start yelling? Should you run away, let Chan handle it and never look back?
The main question you had was, did you harbour any hate towards Mingi? Hate was a very strong word and you couldn’t begin to fathom hating one of your mates. Yes, you were hurt, angry and disappointed in them but part of you didn’t want to throw in the towel just yet. If there was any possibility for reconciliation, you were willing to try, albeit you wouldn’t go easy on them.
Something you learnt in therapy was that relationships are a work in progress. It’ll never be perfect like you were told growing up and it didn’t necessarily have to be set in stone with you not having a choice about it. You did in fact have a choice, and while you still believed fate had a role in bringing people together, a real relationship requires showing up, learning from mistakes, taking accountability and trying again if both parties truly care for each other. If not, you knew you had to face the harsh reality of walking away even if it broke you.
You wanted to make it work with your soulmates, and Mingi was the one out of your eight mates who you were closest to after Hongjoong. He was the second one you had bonded with and spent a lot of time together before meeting everyone else. You would describe him as your tall alpha with a soft heart and sweet personality. He wore his heart on his sleeve, he’s a tenderheart and big softie who would seek you out to share his snacks with because he didn't like to eat alone. He struggled with his self-esteem because being the middle child had him being forgotten a lot. You were there along with the boys to give him comfort and show him his worth. Song Mingi is the tenderest, sweetest and softest person out of the entire pack.
"Mingi..." you murmured.
"Y-Y/N..." his voice broke out in a raspy tone.
The moment he spoke snapped you out of your daze. You just wanted to hug him, embrace him and feel his warmth again. As your finger grazed his hand, he pulled you into a bone-crushing hug, stroking your hair and kissing the top of your head repeatedly.
"It's you! It's really you!" He cried.
That’s all it took for you to break your facade and you broke down in his embrace, sniffles and sobs racking your body. Mingi just pulled you closer.
"Don't cry, don't cry angel. I know I have a lot to apologise for. I-I can't even b-begin to explain it. There are no e-excuses for my actions. I'll make it up to y-you. No matter what, I won't ever hurt you like that again."
You felt the sincerity in his words. You knew he was being sincerely honest. You weren't ready to forgive him - you both still had to have a proper conversation about everything. But for now, you wanted to have this moment with him, after so long you finally had your Mingi again.
It took a while to peel Mingi off you because he kept refusing. He was taller than you and much stronger so it took a lot of convincing that you weren’t going to vanish into thin air once he let you go. He wouldn't even sit if you didn't. When you placed him in a chair and moved away to give him a blanket, some tea and maybe a change of clothes, he bolted upright and grabbed your hand, holding onto it for dear life.
Your apartment was right above the café. You had a few oversized jerseys in your closet as you were currently experimenting with your style that could fit him but it seemed to be futile on retrieving anything.
Mingi refused to part with you so instead he followed you foot to foot behind the counter as you pulled out one of the blankets from under the counter that you had for safekeeping for the colder days. He stood close by as you made him some tea.
Suddenly, your phone went off signalling a message. Mingi was confused by the sound and intrigued by the device you pulled out of your pocket. As you quickly checked to see who it was, Mingi quickly snatched it from you to see what it was.
"Hey—Mingi!"
Your shouts went unanswered as Mingi stared at the screen. He was confused by the interface. Who is Jisung? Somehow he exited out of that app and managed to click on Instagram. Your profile was the first page when he opened the app and his brows pinched in even more confusion.
"Is that you?" he asked
You tried to get your phone back so you could explain things to him but Mingi is taller than you.
He pressed on the picture with you and Chan. It was a harmless picture that was taken during Chan’s birthday party with the two of you posing with big smiles as you both leaned against the kitchen counter watching Seungmin and Hyunjin fight over something. Your caption was simple: Happy birthday to my best friend. However, Mingi’s instincts kicked in seeing the two of you standing in close proximity. He felt a low growl wanting to erupt from his throat, his protective senses coming in. But he noticed your smile. You hadn't smiled like that in a long time. It was only with them and the last time was probably when…he couldn’t remember the last time.
You were able to grab back your phone after accidentally stepping on his foot.
“Ow!” he cried.
“Finally.” you sighed.
"Who is that?" You could hear the pain that was evident in his voice. Even if you did want to be cold towards him, you didn’t have the heart to. It was difficult to remain aloof.
"He's my friend," you answered, "His name is Chan and he was the one who found me in the lake and brought me back with him."
"The lake? You came through the lake?”
You nodded, “Yeah, I don’t know how, all I remember is jumping in and then everything went dark. Then next thing I knew I was here.”
“That's why we couldn't find you. You were in this realm all the time?"
You hummed and nodded.
"Yeah, I…I didn't want to come home…” you stuttered, “I-I couldn't..." you trailed off.
Truth be told, you weren’t 100% certain what to expect from Mingi. There was so much heaviness weighing on your shoulders and in the air, that you couldn’t read what was going through Mingi’s mind or predict his next move.
Was he going to snap at you, ridicule you or berate you?
Mingi felt your uncertainty as the spark of your bond started to drop and he brought you into an immediate hug.
"I can't blame you,” he started, “We left you with a lot of broken promises, we didn't take care of you like we are supposed to. It hurts to hear that you didn’t want to come back to us but…you were also hurting a lot more than we were."
You didn’t realise the tears cascading down your face. For so long, you just wanted to be heard, understood and comforted.
"Mingi, we have to talk about all that…”
“Let’s talk now then. At least cover some bases?”
You agreed and brought the tea to a table in the far corner away from the window. You sat opposite Mingi with great effort as he was still uneasy not being able to feel your touch, you saw the way he never took his eyes off you.
You cleared your throat holding the teacup securely in your hand.
“First of all, I’m really, really, really, really sorry for not realising sooner the damage we were doing to you. I know an apology isn’t even enough. The fact that it had to take you being separated from us, for us to recognise the severity is inexcusable.” he began.
You listened intently, anxious at what he had to say.
“When I discovered how damaged our bond became, it felt like an entire collapse of my world. I don’t even know how to explain it, it was as if the one thing that kept me going was stripped away and I was operating on autopilot with no clear way ahead,” he paused, “My birthday wasn’t the same. It wasn’t a celebration, there was more grief than anything. I always told you how much you meant to me and you going missing showed me just how important you are to me Y/N. You’re my entire world and I can’t bear the thought of living without you. I hate it and I don’t want to live like that. I should have noticed my treatment towards you, I should have told the boys, I should have supported you and been there for you. I’m so sorry for failing you.”
“Mingi…”
“Hit me, yell at me, tell me as it is. Don’t hold back Y/N but please…don’t give up on me. Please give me a chance to make it up to you.”
“I…I appreciate your honesty Mingi. You seem to be sincere. I thought I would never be understood. It felt like I was drowning in a sea of my feelings. Everyday I prayed one of you would wrap your arms around me and end the nightmare I was living in. All my life…I was taught how to be a perfect mate and to consider your mate as your whole world, but when your mate forgets you, your world falls apart and you’re left stranded in a dark void with no real direction to follow. When I was running from those rogues, it came to my mind that you all were on the other side of town with Lila…”
Mingi grimaced at that realisation. You were in danger and they were so far away from you. He held your hands that were still wrapped around the teacup, rubbing soothing circles to comfort and help you gather your thoughts.
“I always thought it was my fault,” you cried, “I wanted to call out for you through the bond but I couldn’t even focus. I felt like a failure, I thought I failed at being a Luna, and so many questions plagued my mind every day and night. What does Lila have that I don’t? Why am I always a second choice? Why does Mrs Kim hate me? What’s wrong with me?”
Your voice broke as you spoke. Mingi wanted to kick himself for doing this to you. He finally saw the way you had been broken. You questioned your self worth, they made you question your worthiness. You didn’t know how you were so important, you were a precious gem to him, you were priceless.
“Nothing’s wrong you angel, if anything, something is clearly wrong with the rest of us because we’re plain idiots for making you think you’re unworthy. You deserved to be loved, adored and respected.” he answered.
“It hurts Mingi. All I ever wanted was to be someone's favourite person growing up. I wanted to be the one, you could come to for anything. I wanted to help in any way I could. I just wanted to be loved.”
“And you are loved, my love. I love you so deeply and truly, I really do. I will never let you feel that way again. As long as I live, you’d be showered unconditionally with love and respect.”
You closed your eyes and regulated your breathing to compose yourself.
“I’m willing to work things out Mingi. But you should know, I’m not sure if I trust you right now. So many thoughts come in, what if it happens again? What if -”
“It won’t. It will never happen again, angel. I know that seems like an empty promise. But it isn't! I promise you, I will make you trust me again.”
You looked at Mingi with some uncertainty. You never considered love would be like this, you always thought it would be easy. You didn’t know what was going to happen next but at least for now, this was a start.
“Tiny steps. Let’s take tiny steps then. I’ll introduce you to Chan tomorrow, he’ll help you get in contact with the others. Let them know you’re safe.”
Even after all the hurt they gave you, Mingi was in awe at the way you cared so deeply for them.
“Let’s head upstairs,” you said tiredly.
As you both made your way to the apartment, Mingi thought about everything. It pained him deeply to know the hurt they caused you. He made a silent promise to himself that he’ll be better for you.
That night, he couldn’t sleep. You’re the best thing that ever happened to him and you deserve unconditional and unwavering love. In no way, shape or form were you ever a second choice. You could never be second - you were and will always be first.
He’ll make things right again. He promised.

if you can guess who i visualized seojin as, there may or may not be a little surprise :)
hint: i visualized him off a webtoon character!
hint: said webtoon has to do with vampires
there’s also a small description of him in the story 👀

yeonjun pinched his nose bridge as he tried processing his dear best friend’s words. “so how do you plan on helping him recover if...you’re not going to see him in person?” he asked.
jiyu bit the inside of her cheek in thought. “i haven’t figured that out yet. but i don’t think it’s a good idea for him to be exposed to human interactions yet. he seemed so closed off and unwilling to cooperate when i came in yesterday.” she said.
“but do you really think he’ll warm up to people when he’s in there by himself?” yeonjun asked. “it’s not like he'll magically—”
“i know, i know,” she groaned before running her hand through her hair. for once, she was stumped on what to do. she didn’t want to force him to break his walls down, but she didn’t want to leave him alone for too long.
“maybe i can ask taehyun to talk to him?” yeonjun offered. “he told me they’re friends.”
she shook her head. “i don’t want to make it look like we’re using his friends to have him cooperate. if anything, it could push him further into his shell.”
yeonjun quietly chuckled before ruffling her hair. “well, seojin checked up on him earlier and he looked to be okay. physically, he looked to be recovering from his injuries, but he looked to have a lot on his mind, according to seojin anyways.”
seojin was one of the hybrid assistants that the facility employs to help patients settle into their new, temporary living space. jiyu remembered him; he used to be one of her former patients before getting adopted by a new family. after settling in, he decided to return to the facility as a caretaker assistant. coincidentally, he was assigned as jiu’s hybrid assistant. small world.
“is that so...?” she mused. “where’s seojin? i might ask him a few questions.”
“last time i saw him, he was in the break room.”
making a beeline for the break room, she saw the familiar tabby hybrid sitting and sipping at his milk carton.
“oh? miss jiyu! it’s been a while,” seojin greeted as jiyu took the seat across from him. jiyu did a double take at how much he had changed compared to the last time she saw him. he was no longer a small, frail tabby cat hybrid; he now looked to be thriving, buff might she even add. he even dyed his hair red, although a bit darker than mingi’s.
“why does no one ever listen to me when i tell them to drop the ‘miss’?” she playfully groaned.
“sorry, force of habit,” he chuckled, referring to his time spent under her care. “but what’s up?”
“you checked on the new fox hybrid this morning, right?” she asked.
one of seojin’s ears twitched as he tilted his head. “the grumpy one? then yes, i did.”
“you say that as if you weren’t grumpy yourself,” she wryly commented with a chuckle. “i had enough scratches to tell.”
he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. “anyways, yeah, i checked up on him this morning. poor guy seemed lost in his own thoughts. he spent most of the time looking out the window with this distant look in his eyes,” he recounted. “i managed to get his name, though. it’s yeosang.”
“yeosang...” she said to herself. the name sounded so smooth as it rolled off her tongue. “is he...better?”
seojin pursed his lips. “i asked him if he was willing to let people here help him, but he seemed to shut down at the thought. but i gave him a small pep talk, too so there's maybe a slim chance that his mind cracked a little.”
she thoughtfully nodded. “i can understand here he comes from though. being abandoned by people you love into a harsher reality is never fun. nor will it be easy to forgive,” she mindlessly commented. “but i need to check up on him sooner or later, i can’t just leave him in there by himself for who knows how long. i just...don’t know how to approach him,” she said, wracking her brain for any new ideas.
“maybe you just need to show him like how you did with that tiger hybrid. hongjoong, i believe was his name? during my visits with him, i saw how he changed after each day,” he said. “coming from a hybrid that was treated here, we all come in a little skeptic and hesitant about accepting help from humans, when they were sometimes the root of our problems and why we ended up here in the first place. but you all never gave up on us, and still treated us with care and kindness. it may be part of your job description but we all still appreciate your efforts since we never received much prior to being here.”
jiyu was touched by his words, and also found solace in them. she was glad that majority of the hybrids found comfort and love here. after all, that was the primary goal of their recovery process: to accept a helping hand from their caretakers, form a trust connection with them. “...i’m glad to hear that.”
a small grin was plastered on seojin’s face. “what i’m trying to say is, yeosang might be a little bit more closed off than the others, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t yearn for love and kindness like the rest of us.” finishing his milk, he stood up to throw the carton away and leave. he bent down and booped his head with her’s, giving it the smallest of nuzzles. “i’m sure your hybrids won’t appreciate my scent on you, so take this small nuzzle and good luck!” he childishly grinned before leaving the break room.
watching the tabby cat hybrid leave the room, she chuckled as she watched his tail sway back and forth before she was left alone with her own thoughts. “in a way, i guess he's right...she mused to herself. “alright then, i’ll pay him a visit tomorrow,” she promised herself, the plants by the windowsill being her only witnesses. with the promise, she left the break room to return to the office. as she passed by yeosang’s room, she resolved her promise again.
in his room, yeosang was curled up in the hospital bed as he replayed the conversation he had with seojin a few hours before.
“will you be willing to allow the people here to help?” seojin asked as he joined yeosang by the window, looking out at the different hybrids wandering around with their caretakers.
yeosang was silent. he still didn’t know if he could take another potential betrayal. how would he end up? where would he end up? looking back down outside at the various hybrids, although he would never admit, he was envious of them. envious at how they were able to open up so easily to others, envious at how they were able to smile freely without a care in the world, and envious at how they managed to form a connection with other humans.
seojin observed yeosang’s expressions and slightly smiled before returning his gaze back outside. “i was here once, too,” he admitted, earning yeosang’s attention. “and i had jiyu as my caretaker, too.”
yeosang remembered the female that came in the previous day and inwardly cringed at how awkward they regarded each other.
“and i was like you, too. got hurt pretty bad by my old owners, not to mention other people when i became a stray. and not to mention i gave jiyu enough scratches for a lifetime,” he chuckled. “but she never gave up on me. she always came back at the same time, whether it be for medical checkups or just for a casual hello—”
“why are you telling me this?” yeosang quietly interrupted before feeling a sharp pain on his side. grimacing, he clutched onto his side and slightly bent over from the unexpected pain.
seojin immediately helped him to sit back on the bed before checking his wound and changing the bandages. while preparing the cotton ball and tweezers for the ointment, seojin gently smiled. “i told you because i thought maybe it’d help you relax a little bit while being here,” he said before spreading ointment on yeosang’s gash. “maybe if you heard some personal experiences, maybe i can help you open up a little.”
after changing yeosang’s bandages, seojin started preparing to leave. “maybe give jiyu a chance. i can guarantee she won’t harm you. actually, she’s more prone to accidentally hurting herself rather than others,” he laughed. “see you tomorrow!”
and with that, the door slid shut behind seojin.
yeosang sighed, staring up at the rectangles on the ceiling. it was a constant game of tug-of-war in his mind. ‘yes, maybe she’s different and you can open up’ but also, ‘no, you’ve been through too much to risk it all again’. it wasn’t like he wasn’t taking seojin’s personal experience into consideration, it was just...opening up again was hard.
how did others do it? how did they find it in themselves to be open and friendly with humans again, when humans were the reasons majority of them were there in the first place?
either they have guts of steel, or i’m just a coward. he thought. but the scars and marks on his body were constant reminders of his old life. a life full of pain, anger, distress. fear. he never wanted to feel as much fear as he did ever again.
but he realized that he would never be able to escape his bubble of uncertainity if he just wallowed in it. if he continued to stay how he was, he would never break the cycle of doubts.
taking a deep breath at his revelation, he closed his eyes and steeled his nerves, making a promise to himself.
i’ll take the leap of faith. whether or not it turns out well, that’ll be fate's decision.

sick days. | j. yunho
a/n: phew i finally did it! this is a sequel to this fic but this can also be read as its own too! i won’t lie, i had so much trouble writing this. the amount of times i typed then erased then typed over and over again was a huge struggle for me in the past week, so i understand if this fic seemed a little... blegh ;;;; writer’s block sucks but it’s alright, i enjoyed writing it anyway hehe hope you enjoyed this. do excuse any mistakes as this has not been proofread ✨💖
word count: 3k+
main focus: yunho x fem. reader
warning(s): none, i think!
“tell me i'm hot.”
“yeah, you're hot, yunho.”
“aye.”
“you have a fever.”
“aye?”
“say ‘aye’ one more time, and i’m gonna stab you with my paintbrush.”
“aye!”
your eye twitched at his answer, showing him the temperature you had taken for him. the boy in question, who was currently laid all tucked in bed with a wet cloth on his forehead, merely gave you a bright smile despite his face looking all flushed. sometimes, you wondered whether your roommate was literally a golden retriever in his past life who got reincarnated into a human, but still somehow having the energetic personality following his next life.
“little rose, you're gonna catch my fever too. i can take care of myself.” he protested, watching as you gathered the empty ceramic bowl that was previously filled with yunho's favourite soup, mentally thanking seonghwa in your head for the recipe he gave earlier, promptly placing it onto the wooden tray you left on his bedside drawer.
“pup, you know i have a stronger immune system between the two of us. i'll be fine.” you retorted, causing the sick boy to jut his lower lip out into a little sulky pout.
“you're lucky you're cute, pup.” you grumbled, moving the cloth away to feel at his forehead, the playful glare in your eyes melting into a soft gaze. you couldn’t stay mad at him, even if you tried. luckily, his skin wasn't burning as much as before, though the pinkness in his cheeks were still present.
everything seemed like a blur today. all he remembered was trying to get up from the bed but for some reason, yunho felt as if someone had dumped a huge pile of bricks on top of his body while someone kept hitting his head with a hammer. he was lucky that you came into his room to wake him up as soon as his best friend, mingi, called you up to ask where the peachy haired boy was since he couldn't reach him for some reason. that's when you know something was up.
of course, panic started to fill your entire being as soon as you saw how flushed his cheeks looked upon entering the room, along with him shivering underneath his blanket. you immediately went to his side as you phoned your other friends to tell them what was happening. it didn't take long for yunho to be dragged away from the bed by mingi, and jongho (mainly jongho) just so seonghwa could drive them to the doctor's, despite yunho mumbling that he's fine to which he was absolutely not fine at all.
you were thankful that it wasn't that serious, but nevertheless, yunho still received an earful of scolding from you for not taking care of himself more, as if seonghwa’s nagging wasn't enough.
so now here he is, laying still on the bed as his eyes blinked slowly before his lips lazily curled up into a grin towards you once he felt your palm resting against his forehead. the dazed look in his eyes was already a sign of the medicine he took earlier slowly kicking in. noticing how droopy his eyes were, you made sure the blankets were properly tucked on him.
“rest, pup. by the time you wake up, it will be when i wake you up for dinner so you can take your meds.” you hushed him, sitting down on the edge of his bed.
poor boy only grunted in response, finally giving up to force his eyes open, letting sleep take over him. you had decided to linger a little longer in the room, just until you were completely sure that the taller male was finally getting that much needed rest. sighing to yourself, your lithe fingers gingerly moved away some of the stray strands that managed to cover most of his eyes. your expression softens at the way his lips parted ever so slightly, chest heaving up and down in an even pace, adoring the way he looked so serene. with quick yet quiet movements so as to not wake the male up, you picked up the wooden tray, and crept up on your tiptoes towards the door.
you let your body drop onto the couch in your small living room, an arm over your forehead as your eyes stared up at the ceiling. the room was filled with silence that if someone were to drop a pin, it would have created a loud noise. the silence… it was almost a little too eerie for you. normally, it would have been filled with the sounds of you and yunho discussing your assignments as if one could give the other an inspiration to do so. it was when you turned your head to the coffee table that you saw something on the coffee table.
it was your sketchbook.
the object sitting idly on the table made you recall a particular conversation you had with yunho a couple of night’s ago.
“what are you up to, little rose?”
yunho’s voice effectively made you look up from your sketchbook, the page though seemingly empty, it was a tad crumpled from your many attempts of sketching, doodling, and the many amounts of erasing. the peachy haired boy made his way from the kitchen overlooking the living room to sit down right next to you with two mugs of what seems to be coffee in both hands, handing one of them to you.
sending him a defeated smile along with a low mumble of appreciation, carefully lifting the mug up to your lips to take a small sip of the drink. as if almost immediately, the bittersweet taste of the drink washed over your tastebuds, warmth being sent throughout your entire being. clearly, nothing can really beat coffee whenever you were in a stumped position.
“professor kim wanted us to draw something yesterday.” you finally answered, momentarily pausing to take another sip of the coffee, the boy next to you putting an arm on the couch behind your head while his other hand held onto his mug, listening to you intently.
“he mentioned that he wanted something that.. makes our chests swell with a warm feeling that you feel in your chest whenever you look at your own drawing?” you mumbled, furrowing your eyebrows as you set your gaze onto the blank sketchpad that was laid idly on your lap, lips pursing in deep thought.
“well, surely you must have felt the feeling before, don’t you?” yunho asked, reaching out to place his mug on top of the coffee table in front of where the two of you were seated at.
“i..” you started but somehow, the words died off in your throat.
you wanted to answer ‘yes, of course i have!’.
you wanted to say, ‘everything makes me feel that way too!’
but..
..you had come to the realisation that you had never felt such a feeling in your life before. but, wasn’t that the same thing as happiness? if that was the case, then everything would’ve been ‘a warm feeling’ to you.
yunho, who seemed to notice you being in your usual thinking bubble again, merely smiled to himself. from the couple of years being your roommate, and dare he say, your best friend, he had picked up all of your habits, and actions. from the way you would rub your nose due to being flustered, or how you would pick at your lips whenever you felt nervous - to which, he tried to make you stop by giving you a small keychain with a stress ball attached to it, fortunately making you squeeze it instead of picking your lips again - yunho could read you like an open book most of the time.
though of course, he would have to admit, it is when you seem predictable would be the time where you would be sprouting up something so.. unpredictable. the memory of you pulling a sudden all nighter because of a sudden inspiration from watching a movie would always make you look so endearing in the male’s eyes. it was when your eyes meeting his own was what made yunho flinch ever so slightly in his seat out of surprise.
“tell me, pup. have you ever felt such a feeling before?” you asked, curiosity evident in your bright eyes.
your question was to be expected, making yunho’s features soften at you. folding his arms in front of his chest, his back leaned further into the couch as he hummed underneath his breath in thought. the happiness that managed to make him freeze in place, huh? it took him a moment, but eventually, he nodded his head.
“i have, little rose.” he responded.
“and what was it, if you don’t mind sharing.” you inquired, shifting in your place to sit criss-cross as you turned to face the male next to you.
yunho could only stare at your face, slightly caught off guard upon hearing your sudden interest. he couldn’t help but to release an amused laugh at the way you leaned in ever so slightly, reaching a hand out to playfully ruffle your hair.
“it may sound a little ridiculous. but it was when you threw that birthday party for me last year.” he mentioned, only to feel an amused chortle threatening to leave his lips upon seeing the confused look painted over your face, as if waiting for the peachy haired boy to explain what he meant.
“you baked a cake for me, no?” the corners of his lips quirked up as soon as realisation seemed to hit you. you did bake a cake for him. but really, it wasn’t that special so made him pick that certain day of all days? before you could even ask, however, yunho already beat you to it by giving out his own answer.
“no one has ever baked a cake for me before, it was either bought from our local bakery in town or none at all. but something about a homemade one.. you can feel the effort and so much love from someone who had taken their time in doing so.” yunho trailed off, eyes somehow shining with an unknown sparkle in them as soon as they landed on your own.
“and i have you to thank for, little rose.” he continued, fingers gingerly curling the stray strand of hair behind your ear.
you swear you could feel your heart increase its pace, feeling as if it was about to burst out of your chest. your cheeks felt warm due to the feeling of your blood rushing up to them, a hand quickly reaching up to rub your nose before tearing your gaze away from yunho’s warm one.
you didn’t need any more explanation. you had found your inspiration.
a fond smile curled itself over your tiers at the memory before deciding to stand up as you made your way to your room, grabbing the sketchbook with you along the way. you have a drawing to finish.
❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀
a small creak from a door being opened resonated throughout the small hallway of the house, along with heavy footsteps, and the sound of a deep yawn mingled in the air. yunho rubbed his eyes as he made his way into the living room. his eyes were still heavy with traces of sleep lingered in them before looking over to the wall clock idly hanging on the wall, wanting to know how many hours had passed after he fell asleep earlier. judging by how dark it was outside, it was already night time, or maybe even midnight. with how long he slept, it was possible he slept the whole day away.
although slowly, yunho was thankful that the medicine seemed to make him recover considering how his head wasn’t throbbing painfully like before, though he still felt a little heavy but it wasn’t as bad as earlier. he could get up on his own, and that’s already enough for the tall male.
“y/n?” the peachy haired boy called out, wandering around the house in search for you.
it was when he reached the door to your room that he noticed the door was slightly ajar, along with a faint sound of what seemed like a song playing coming from the inside as well. his knuckles, gently knocked against the wooden surface before gently pushing the door a tad wider, just enough for yunho to peek in.
and there you were. all hunched over your desk with your head on top of your folded arms, seeming to have fallen asleep with whatever you were doing earlier. as much as yunho wanted you to let you have you rest after busying yourself by helping him earlier during the day, he didn’t want you to have a sore neck and back due to the position you were in. he knew how much you would complain about the pain in the two regions afterwards but then doing it again, it was a never ending cycle that yunho was amused to see from the years of living with you.
walking over to the desk with an intention of wanting to wake you up so you could properly lie down, the male noticed something right next to your head. it was your sketchbook. he walked up behind you, looking down at your sleeping figure. with how your pencil was loosely being held in between your dainty fingers along with a couple of crumpled up papers, mixed in with the other pencils in a variety of colours you had strewn all over the surface of your desk, yunho had made the conclusion that you were working on the assignment you had told him a couple of days ago.
he was glad to know that you were finally getting started on it, knowing how much you would procrastinate until things were a little too late for you to do. but with how you managed to finish everything right on time despite having such little time left, would never cease to amaze him every time.
with slow movements (clearly not wanting you to wake up all surprised and accidentally smack him in the face), yunho leaned over you to clear up your desk from all the clutter and coloured pencils around you, only then having a clear view of what you had drawn onto the sketchbook which caused his eyes to widen ever so slightly at the sight, pausing in his ministrations.
his gaze was set on two drawn figures in what seems to be a bedroom, standing side by side with their faces facing each other, joyful smiles painted over their features, each having a paintbrush in hand. it looked like the two of them were enjoying their time together. but what had caught yunho’s eyes was one of the figures having the similar shade of peach as his hair colour, mirroring yunho’s own hair colour. it was when he saw the familiar details on the walls of the drawing that the peachy haired male noticed what, or rather, who the two figures were in the sketchbook.
“yunho?” a soft voice called out, grogginess laced in their tone as they spoke up which made the tall male flinch ever so slightly in place as he tore his gaze away from the drawing down to you.
from his mind, he had already answered you calling out his name but in reality, he was staring down at your face. tilting your head up, eyes half-lidded from the sleepiness still apparent in your irises. it was when you looked down that you might have caught the gist of whatever has made him speechless. emitting a gasp out of realisation, your hands quickly covered the drawing, whining at him.
“y-you weren’t supposed to see that. i wasn’t d-”
“tell me, little rose. what do you see in me?” was his sudden question, effectively making your words die down in your throat. gulping thickly, your heartbeat was suddenly too loud in your ears. finally having the courage, your lips parted to answer the male’s question.
“i have found comfort in you.” you whispered, yunho’s eyes staring into your own nervous ones.
“i have found happiness whenever we spend time together.” you noted the way your faces were mere centimetres apart from each other.
“i have found the.. the warmth that made me feel at home.” his hands reached out for your hands, holding them in his much larger ones, feeling the pad of his thumbs caressing your knuckles.
“i have.. found myself falling for..” you murmured, yunho resting his forehead on top of your own, both of your eyes fluttering shut, and your noses touching against each other.
“i have found myself falling for you.”
you were scared to open your eyes. you were scared that if you did, everything would have taken a completely different turn. you were scared that you would ruin the friendship the both of you have built together. you were scared to see the disgusted look on yunho’s face after the little confession.
you were scared to lose yunho.
however, those thoughts were completely thrown out of the window upon hearing the words being uttered by the male looming above you.
“little rose, can i kiss you?”
the question kept repeating itself in your mind. you wanted to say yes, you wanted to throw your arms around his neck, you wanted to scream out in relief. yet, not even a whisper came out. not trusting your voice, and the choice of words, you merely gave him a nod. to yunho, that was already enough for him. without wasting any more time, the taller male leaned in to press his lips against your own. yunho wasn’t sure if his fever was coming back or it was due to his heart pumping so fast that blood rushed to both of his cheeks. he wasn’t sure, but his face was undeniably warm.
your smaller hand released one of the male’s bigger ones, reaching up to rest itself against his cheek while your lips moved against his own in sync. everything around you felt muted, the only thing you could hear was the beating of your heart like some type of drum. you never knew that a simple action could make you crave for more, but of course, the need for air was already screaming in the both of your minds that made you pull away from each other, albeit reluctantly.
yunho could faintly taste the sweetness that lingered over his lips as his eyes stared into yours in silence, his hand squeezing yours, before a gentle smile spread itself over his brims, you finding it contagious as you can’t help but to show him your own smile in return. deep down, he wanted to kiss you again, seemingly longing to feel them on his lips once again. so, he did just that. much to your surprise, of course you weren’t complaining.
you would be lying if you denied any more of his kisses.
once the both of you pulled away for the second time, one specific thing popped into your mind, eyes widening in realisation which caused yunho to tilt his head ever so slightly to the side in question.
“if you get me sick, i swear.”
“hey, you said you have a strong immune system!”
“jeong yunho!”

You stand at the bow of the ship silently, lost in thought as the sea eddies and swirls beneath you.
Your fingers run over the stump that had once used to be your hand, tracing nonsensical patterns and words absentmindedly over the bandage done there. There’s nothing you can do. Nothing to be done.
That’s just the way it is.
Losing your hand was, surprisingly, the least of your concerns over the last few days. There were no fits of rage induced fury as San had used to describe to you, no depressed episodes of tears and screaming, just a silent, persisting emptiness that scares you more than anything else.
Is this what it feels like? Knowing that your days are numbered? Knowing that you’re going to die?
You’re so absorbed in the simple task of winding and rewinding your bandages around your fingers that you don’t hear the creak of the boards, the clicking of boots until he’s standing by your side.
“Hey.” When there’s no response, he tries again. “Chin Hae. Chin Hae?”
“Oh! Yeosang-oppa.” You greet, but there’s an unfocused light to your eyes, you’re still out of it. His heart clenches, but he doesn’t know what to say – because no words are enough. He’s afraid for you, uncertainty dances on the brink of their future, the tip of his tongue. “Have the rest of the crew been informed of what happened?”
Yeosang nods slowly, leaning on the railing next to you. The ship rocks steadily on the waves, tranquil and painfully peaceful, as if the sea beneath you isn’t strewn with corpses, as if the water hasn’t run red with blood. It’s beguiling, really, how the sea swallows all, indiscriminate, and all that’s left is sea, sea and sea, and nothing more.
“What about Captain?” You ask hollowly, but the words feel heavy on your lips.
“He’s in the sickbay, getting tended to by San.” Fear seizes your chest for a second – what if he tells? –  but emptiness relinquishes its hold on you. Your master, by far, is too kind, too pure. He wouldn’t want to burden your captain any more than he already is now, what with Yunho’s antidote and finding Captain Kang. San is like a puppet, manipulating him playing with marionette strings dangling from that fragile little heart of his.
He’ll listen.
Yeosang’s throat tightens. “Hey, Chin Hae, are you really alrig-”
Before he can finish his question, there’s a furious thudding of boots up the forecastle decks stairs, rushed and frantic, and you turn around to frown at the noise when you catch sight of him.
Well, you barely do, because he’s already standing before you before you can blink, and one hand shoots out to grab yours. You don’t even have time to process what’s he’s doing, a near bewildered “Wooyoung…?” slipping from your lips when he tugs what’s left of your hand more closely to his face.
His expression as he studies your bandaged hand is stony, frightening intensity burning like white flames behind his eyes. Even Yeosang seems to pick up on it, because he approaches Wooyoung cautiously, as if nearing a wild animal, and calls his name softly.
“Wooyoung-ah?”
Wooyoung’s jaw clenches, a muscle in his cheek twitches, but his expression doesn’t change. Then suddenly, he whirls around and storms back towards the forecastle stairs, pure wrath practically rolling off his skin.
Yeosang panics a little, runs forward to intercept Wooyoung with a hand on his arm. “Wooyoung-ah-”
To your shock, the gunner rips his arm ferociously from his friend’s grip, nearly baring his teeth at the navigator. “Don’t. Touch. Me.”
Then he continues down the stairs, footsteps resounding across the main deck, and he vanishes into the infirmary for a second. Confusion floods you, but then there’s a silent pause, a breath of silence, and then your captain goes tumbling out of the door of the infirmary, crashing to the ground, hard.
“Wha-”
“Wooyoung, stop!” Your master’s voice rings out, cracking with desperation, and then you’re running across the forecastle deck, fingers of one hand gripping the railing tight as you stare in horror at the scene beneath you.
Wooyoung is beating his captain up.
“So she’s lost a hand? You fucking let her lose a hand?” Wooyoung screams in his captain’s face, knuckles white wrapped around his captain’s lapels. The look on his face is wild, unhinged and it scares you, god it terrifies you. He pulls his captain up and slams him back down on the deck, fists pummeling at every inch of his captain that he can reach with violent, furious blows. “You let this happen! You promised me you’d die before you let anything happen to her, you fucking liar!”
Wooyoung is swearing.
Wooyoung is swearing.
Your captain doesn’t do anything to defend himself. He simply lies there, taking blow after blow, and San is sobbing at the side, screaming for him to do something, for Wooyoung to just stop, but neither pay any attention to him. Mingi peers out of the cabin, clearly disturbed by the commotion and his mouth falls open at the sight before him.
“Captain!”
He and Jongho dash forward to yank the two apart, even from here, you can see blood is dripping from your captain’s nose. Even for all of the younger battlemaster’s monstrous strength, it still takes both the combined efforts of him and Seonghwa to tear Wooyoung away from your captain, and even then he’s still screaming terrible, terrible things you’d never have dreamed Wooyoung would say.
Your captain doesn’t respond, not even when the crew stares on quietly, just as stunned as you are. Mingi shakes his captain’s shoulder desperately, searching his eyes. “Captain? Captain?”
“Let him at me.”Hongjoong says lowly, and your heart drops. “I deserve it.”
Mingi stares at his captain in wide eyed shock, as if he’d just told him to turn the Treasure in to the Royal Navy, instead tells San to lock Wooyoung up in the infirmary until he calms down. He’s dragged away, kicking and screaming, into the sickbay before the door slams shut and a disconcerting silence takes over the deck.
“Back to work! Or do the lot of you have time to dawdle around and stare?” Mingi snaps sharply at the crew and they immediately turn back to their duties, hushed murmurs silently passing from lip to ear. Mingi turns back to his captain, gaze softening with concern, before he spots you on the forecastle deck.
You already know what he wants you to do.
Stepping down the stairs, you approach the two of them, tug quietly on your captain’s hand. To your surprise, he doesn’t resist in the least, letting you drag him to the captain’s cabin. Mingi gives you a concerned look, but you nod at him to reassure him before shutting the door.
Your captain simply stands there, blank, until you force him to sit on Yeosang’s bed, the straw matress creaking slightly under his weight. Still, he doesn’t move and you search the room for a wet rag you can use, knowing that Yeosang keeps an emergency healer’s kit here, and tell your captain to lean forward with his fingers pinched at his nose bridge.
You don’t talk, merely instruct. Instructions are learnt, instructions are either right or wrong, instructions have no in-between. Instructions don’t have emotions.
You like instructions. Emotions, right now? Not so much.
Hongjoong doesn’t say a word as you unfold a cloth you’d found on the table, a thick silence hanging between the two of you. You feel his eyes burning into you when you attempt to uncork the flask with one hand. After five minutes of painful struggling and near unbearable quiet, your captain finally speaks up.
“Give it here.”
His voice is quiet, controlled, and you hand it over, chewing on the inside of your cheek. He opens it and takes the cloth from you, drizzling water over it and lifting it to his nose. It comes away bloody, a sight you’re all too familiar with for different reasons.
“You can go now.” Your captain mutters, his gaze doesn’t even meet yours and you want to throw up your hands (well, hand now) and scream. What did you do wrong this time? Is the hiding of the true reason for the loss of your hand isn’t enough to retain normalcy on this ship?
You just… you just want everything to go back to normal. When it was all of you sailing together on the Treasure, laughing and getting into mischief and overlooking the sea with smiles on your faces, not this noxious, stale bilge water kind of… mess.
Gods, you don’t even know what to do anymore, and it’s driving you insane.
“Look, Hongjoong!” You grab him by the lapels of his collar and yank him down to meet your eyes. He startles a little, but his eyes immediately dart away, refusing to meet your gaze. “What the hell were you doing when Wooyoung did that to you, huh? You just let yourself get beaten up by him and for what? What part of you deserved that? Tell me!”
Hongjoong’s eyes flicker, but still doesn’t lift his head. He doesn’t say a word.
You don’t budge an inch either, unwilling to relinquish him until he gives you a proper answer, but finally, a broken, little chuckle escapes him, and you stare at him like he’s grown a third head. What is even remotely funny about this situation?
You get your answer.
“You finally called me Hongjoong.” He says weakly and you grab at your hair in a mixture of disbelief and rage. Laugh or cry? Crying seems like the favourable option at the moment.
“Hongjoong!” You snap, furious, and your captain only sinks back onto the bed, a defeated smile on his face. He looks at you, but it’s as if he isn’t really seeing, and through all your fury, your heart still breaks for him.
“I failed.” He says simply, like that explains anything. You frown, gesture at him to elaborate, and he shakes his head, dragging rough fingers through his hair. “I promised you – promised Wooyoung – that I’d keep you safe with my own life and here I am, perfectly fine and you...“
Promised Wooyoung? What was that about?
“You lost a hand and I was there and I let it happen.” He continues, burying his head in his hands. “You were trying to help me and–” A groan escapes him and it sounds like a sob and a cry and everything in between. “Wooyoung was right, I’m such a… such a useless captain.”
You don’t know what to tell him. Because he had made a promise to you, but it was something that was out of his control. No man can play god. He couldn’t have possibly known this was going to happen to you.
And you’re sick of him blaming himself for it.
“You always ask the crew to tell you their problems so that you can share their burden, but you don’t practice what you preach, captain.”
Hongjoong’s eyes widen, but you continue fiercely before he can say another word. “You told me to come to me with my problems and I did–” You ignore the guilt blooming in the pit of your stomach, “but you, captain, you have problems too and you don’t share them with the crew. You try to carry the burden all by yourself but you can’t do it, and you just don’t want to admit it, captain.”
Your captain stares at you for a long moment, mouth opening and closing in shock without making a sound. “I… I don’t-”
“You can’t keep the entire crew safe by yourself, captain. You’re not strong enough to do it alone. No man in the world is.” You poke him in the chest with your good hand and your captain stares down at it. “That’s why we’re here, to do it with you. The crew is a family, and it isn’t just about you taking care of us because you’re the captain. It’s all of us,” You gesture at the door of his cabin, where the rest of the crew are working right outside, “taking care of each other, watching out for each other’s backs. Losing this hand? I chose it, because I’d rather lose a limb than lose you, our captain.”
The next few seconds stretch into a minute. Hongjoong doesn’t move, fixated on your hand. Then he inhales once, breathes out, meets your eyes. “Oh.” There’s something sparkling in his eyes, they look like tears. “Oh.” He repeats again, and the tears spill over, effectively sending you into a near panic. Was that the wrong thing to say?
“It’s not just me. I’m not alone.” Hongjoong manages to say through sniffles, there’s a tone of wonderment in his voice, like he’s just discovered the truth and what’s left of your heart tosses itself out of the porthole and into the sea. “I have… I have all of you.”
“Yes.” You say as firmly as possible, because you need him to know this.
“And you…” The tears are flowing freely now. “You wanted to save me. It’s okay... if it’s not me… saving you. I was worth it.”
“Yes.”
Then he’s throwing his arms around you, and you nearly stumble back a step. Something dampens your sleeve, but you don’t care, pulling him closer protectively. He seems lighter now, more free. “Thank you, Chin Hae.”
No, thank you for everything you’ve done, you think as he sobs tears of relief into your shoulder. Now it’s my turn to take care of you.

part 2 to that weird ff.
Hwa placed a finger on joong’s lips, and stared into his eyes. He leaned in for kiss. Hongjoong knew he wanted it, desperately. He was starving for that kind of affection from Seonghwa, but he wasn’t ready. He pushed him away and walked into his room. Hwa and wooyoung shared a glance, and went back to their room.
Joong couldn’t sleep that night.
“Why would he try to kiss me? He literally fucks with wooyoung. Was it just out of pity?? How dare he!!” He turned to his side and pulled his blanket over him. Mingi smirked. He knew what was happening.
Seonghwa couldn’t sleep either. He finally understood why joong gave awkward expressions when hwa was with wooyoung. And why joong loved spending time with seonghwa. He always had a new plan for the weekend, and it always only involved him and hwa. Seonghwa felt..guilty. He didn’t understand why, but he was sure it was guilt.
The next evening, Hwa took an opportunity to speak to hongjoong alone. He wanted to know what hongjoong felt. He wanted to let him know that he cared. That his feelings mattered. He took hongjoong to his room, where wooyoung wasn’t there. He was out at the mall with mingi. They sat on the bed.
“What’s the matter..baby?”
Hongjoong looked into his eyes with a surprised look. “ba-by...?” he thought.
“Tell me. I’m there for you. I don’t want you to have to hide anything from me.”
“umm.. well... uh just. whatever i said yesterday- that’s.. all...”
“You like me?”
“Yea” joong blushed. He lowered his gaze to the space between his knees and seonghwa’s.
“Since when? And why didn’t you just tell me?”
“How could I have told you! You literally fuck with wooyoung every single night! I wouldn’t wanna tell you only to get turned down.” Joong was anonoyed and upset at the same time, his eyes locked with seonghwa’s again.
“Listen. I’m sorry.”
“Why are you sorry! I am the one who should be sorry” Hongjoong was tearing up, and hwa could make it out, even though joong tried to hide it.
“Listen...” Seonghwa locked his pretty lips with hongjoong’s. Hongjoong didn’t like the though of it, but he loved what was happening. Seonghwa slowly held joong’s waist and pulled him closer for more. Hongjoong loved it. They were a hot mess, hugging each other tightly, kissing each other in the most passionate manner. Seonghwa’s hand crept into hongjoong’s T-shirt, but Hongjoong put a stop to it. He pushed hwa away. Hongjoong had a very hurtful expression on his face.
“Don’t do this out of pity for me. A kiss was enough. Let’s stop.” Hongjoong got up to leave the room, but hwa caught his hand.
“I have a lot to say to you myself.” Hongjoong looked at him with a disinterested expression.
“The.. stuff with woo.. it doesn’t mean anything. We.. aren’t together.” Hongjoong was perplexed, to say the least. How could two men, who didn’t mean anything to each other do such things at night?
“But-”
“Yea. We do it without any feelings for each other. Kinda weird right?” Seonghwa giggled. Hongjoong was still too stumped to say anything. He only thought people who loved each other did it.
“So you were... never together..?”
“We were. Very long ago. Back when we didn’t even live together.” Seonghwa broke into a soft smile. He lightly tugged at joong to return him to where he was seated.
“We broke up long before we even moved here. Coincidentally, we were put in the same room. It was easier though, you know, cuz we were more comfortable with each other.”
“Why would you do it with someone who doesn’t mean anything that way to you anymore though?”
“I guess you could say we’re humans haha” Hongjoong didn’t get it. “well, you know, we obviously have our..desires” Hwa felt so uncomfortable saying it to joong that it almost felt like a crime. “And you gotta feed these urges. Plus wooyoung and I know what we like so... It’s kinda like how you just wanna get off alone sometimes, except we just do it together” Hongjoong understood what he was saying but he just didn’t know how to process that information.
“But why did you make a move on me too then? Just cuz you wanted to get off?”
“umm.. no. I.. love you. I really, really love you. A fucking lot. I.. just couldn’t... tell you.” Joong looked at him with big eyes. he was happy, but also baffled. He just could not bring himself to fathom what hwa had just said. He just.. confessed to him.
Joong caught Hwa by his t-shirt and pulled him in for a kiss. Seonghwa liked it. He loved it. He hugged joong by the waist and their kiss deepened. Joong hugged him tighter and pushed him onto the floor, their lips intact. Seonghwa looked beautiful like this. His eyes, his dirty expression and pretty little moans. They were all too much for hongjoong to handle. He broke the kiss and started exploring other parts of seonghwa. He kissed him just below his ear, and then trailed his tongue lower. As he reached his sweet spot, seonghwa let out a dirty moan. Hongjoong loved what he had just done to hwa. He dug deeper in, earning louder, dirtier moans from him. He got up to remove his tshirt, and looked at seonghwa, expecting him to do the same. But seonghwa just replied with “the door is open, baby.”
“It’s alright. Nobody’s at home. Besides, I wouldn’t dislike it if people saw us like this. I’d be proud.” Seonghwa was convinced. He pulled his tshirt off. Hongjoong loved the view. Hwa’s abs on full display, his chest that continued up to his very hot neck. His blonde hair hanging behind, leaving his forehead exposed. Hwa caught his man staring at him, and gave a dirty little smirk, licking his lips and looking away from joong.
“You’ve seen me bottom for woo twice, but do you really think you can top me?”
Hongjoong blushed. With a quick movement, hwa pushed hongjoong down, and he was now on top of him. The view was even prettier. Seonghwa’s hair was now hanging only a few centimeters away from joong’s forehead. He lowered in for a kiss, as their clothed, painful arousals came in contact. Hongjoong let out a beautiful moan, making hwa smile even more. He left a trail of bruises all over his naked body. His hand crept to joong’s tracks, pulling them off. Joong’s movements made it easier. He held the hem of Hwa’s pants and pulled them off for him. The two men were now on the floor in their boxers with the door of the room wide open. Hwa took a glance of joong’s arousal, and joong looked at hwa’s. They both gave a mutual laugh at what they had done to each other, and hwa dropped down to hongjoong’s lips, their hips moving against each others’. They soon removed the last piece of clothing covering them, and their moans got louder. The look of how wet they both aroused a lot of heat in them.
“Fuck me, hwa”
“Oh I will, baby”
Hwa trailed his nose from hongjoong’s belly button, down his beautiful happy trail, to his throbbing dick. He let his tongue explore joong’s full length, pulling out scandalous moans from joong. He felt his hair being grabbed by two careful hands. Hwa was encouraged. He played around with joong’s thighs, watching him moan helplessly. Hongjoong let out a loud moan as hwa took his dick in his mouth. The grip on his hair got tighter.
“Just like that babyy I love it...”
Hwa’s head moved faster, sucking passionately at joong’s dick. It couldn’t get any better. He could feel himself getting closer to his climax.
“I’m...I’m close.. hwa, baby.. i’m gonna come..” Hwa left joong’s dick.
“No! Please don’t stop! I’m close.. I wanna come!”
“Oh no honey, not yet. You’ll come with me” Seonghwa gave a very sexy smirk, and touched hongjoong’s hole, evident through his already spread-out legs. Hongjoong let out a loud moan. Hwa’s finger probed further, into a hole that clenched his finger with an unbelievable tight grip. But that did not stop hwa. He thrusted another finger in, making joong’s back arch with a sudden, strong movement. Hwa went as deep as his fingers could, and joong suddenly let out a strong, loud, moan. He had found it. Joong’s pretty little spot. He removed his fingers, and joong felt something bigger entering him slowly. Joong screamed out his man’s name, making hwa thrust into him. He went harder with every thrust, and joong loved it. Hwa was hitting his sweet spot with ever single thrust, but it started getting painful. Hwa noticed the pain on joong’s face, and gave him a deep kiss to distract him.
Mingi and Wooyoung returned home. They walked up to the door to their dorm, but they could hear hongjoong screaming hwa’s name. They both gave each other an understanding smile and walked away.
Meanwhile joong was having the best day of his life. He was told that his biggest crush loved him, and now they were fucking in the wildest manner possible.
Hwa and joong both felt their orgasms close. Joong said it first. “I’m gonna come.. pease don’t stop.. go faster!”
“Come for me baby, I’m gonna come too.”
“Inside me... please!!!”
“Fuck, that’s so sexy baby.”
With one strong thrust, hwa threw his head back in pleasure, and joong felt his warm cum fill him up. A split-second later, Joong shot his cum onto seonghwa and himself. He was exhausted. They both were. Seonghwa fell down onto joong’s chest, who caressed his beautiful blonde locks.
A few minutes later, they both got up and helped eact other clean up. None of them could forget about what they had just done. They put their boxers on and went to bed. Seonghwa carefully covered his baby with the blanket. Joong caught seonghwa’s farther shoulder, and lay his head on his wide, warm chest. Hwa caressed his hair affectionately, and wooyoung returned to see them both asleep in that position, with their tshirts and pants on the floor.
Hongjoong didn’t replace wooyoung though. He had just joined the duo, although he was Seonghwa’s only boyfriend.

~FLUFF~
“Y/n I think we should turn back, it’s getting dark.” Mingi whined from the passengers seat.
“Oh come on you big baby, the suns still out.” I teased, reaching over and pinching his cheek. He groaned, taking my hand from his cheek and interlacing our fingers.
“Where exactly are we going?” Mingi asked, grazing his thumb over my knuckles.
“It’s a surprise, don’t worry though, we should be there soon.” I responded, furrowing my brows at the gps as it switched my path multiple times.
We sat in silence for a while, and Mingi seemed to enjoy just riding and letting the scent from the passing meadows soothe him. But I on the other hand was a confused mess. The gps was taking me down a path I’d never been to before.
A couple weeks ago, I was taking the long way home and took a wrong turn, and that wrong turn led me down to a secluded area in the woods that had beautiful flowers and small running waterfalls.
I was star struck and decided to look further, and the deeper into it I got, the more my heart ached in adoration.
It seemed like multiple couples had known about it, there was a little wooden table with a bench, and multiple tree stumps that had engraved names.
I took multiple pictures of the scene, and when I found my way back home, the scene captivated Mingi just as much and it captivated me. So, seeing how much it interested him, I decided to take him out with me and have a picnic there.
The further we drove, the more familiar the roads became, and I relaxed in my seat as I had finally noticed the area coming up ahead
“Alright baby, were here.” I smiled to myself and unbuckled my seatbelt, but in return I heard the soft snores of Mingi next to me.
I looked over at how peaceful he looked, his plump lips parted, and his hair falling over his forehead. I started to poke his cheeks and he slowly began to regain consciousness.
“We’re here!” I exclaimed again, stepping out of the car and taking a deep breath, smelling the blossoms and jasmine’s.
Mingi came up behind me and rested his still sleepy figure on my shoulder.
“Are we walking?” He asked, placing a kiss to my exposed neck shortly after.
“Actually no. There’s a small area down here that I want to show you. It might take a while to get there but I promise it will be worth it!” I said, turning around and wrapping my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist.
I gave Mingi a kiss before continuing.
“Well we better get going, the suns starting to go down, come help me with the food.”
We each grabbed multiple bags of food from the backseat before making our way down the sandy pathway.
~
“It’s this place?” He asked amazed, all traces of sleep he previously had leaving his body.
I smiled at his kid like behavior.
“I really wanted to show this to you.” I responded placing my bags onto the wooden table as did Mingi.
“And I’m happy you did.” He said as he wrapped his arms around me once again, but this time he just stood there, admiring the natural beauty from outside.
~
“You full?” I asked Mingi as he finished off the last sip of his drink. He looked up at me and eagerly nodded.
“Good, now, there’s one more thing I want to show you.” I got up and grabbed Mingi’s hand, taking him to the giant tree with all of the carved names.
When Mingi noticed what it was, he smiled.
“Oh how cute.” He said as he ran his fingers over all of the names.
“And look, there’s even small carvings in the rocks too!” I pointed towards the small rushing waterfall that had hearts and names on it as well.
“You know what this means right?” He said excitedly, turning back to me and grabbing my hands in his.
“One step ahead of you.” I teased, pulling the small pocket knife from my back pocket.
“Although this scenery is beautiful, I wanted to take you here mainly for this reason.” I said, reaching up to the tree and beginning to draw a heart.
“Let’s both draw half of the heart, and write eachothers name in our half.” He said cutely, jumping next to me eagerly waiting to draw his half. I smiled at him, and began to draw freely on my half.
“Be careful.” I warned as he began to draw his too. But after he drew my name in his half, he started writing more underneath.
“Done.” He backed away and looked at the tree like it was a work of art.
I walked closer and read the small message he wrote underneath.
“To the love of my life Y/n, the most beautiful person inside and out 11-11-2017 - FOREVER”
My mouth parted as a long awe came from it.
“You’re so cute Mingi.” I turned and pinched his cheeks, earning a smile from him.
“Not as cute as you.” He said again, caressing my cheeks and kissing each one.
I rested my head onto his chest and closed my eyes, taking in his scent and the scent of the natural area. He continued to soothe my back, and rested his head on top of mine before pulling away and holding my hands in his.
“You know what I write is true right?” He looked into my eyes seriously. I looked back at him and nodded my head, a small smile beginning to form on my face.
“You really are the most beautiful person, I mean, who would have thought to bring their lover down here? Most people take their lovers to fancy restaurants, but you, you’re so creative with your gestures.” He responded again.
My heart fluttered at his words, and I could see the small blush forming on his cheeks.
“Awe, is my baby flustered?” I asked again, kissing both of his pinkish cheeks.
“I’m happy you like my ideas Mingi, they all come from the heart.” I responded to his precious comment.
“There’s nothing not to like when it comes to you Y/n.”
My heart was at pure bliss to all of his cutesy comments and I almost couldn’t take it.
Instead of expressing my love for him through my words, I instead caressed him even further and rocked with him.
He did the same, and we began to just sit in eachothers presence, along with the dancing flowers that followed our swift movements.

Just friends, or maybe more? (Part 9)

———————————————————————
You wake up the next morning to your phone going off from multiple messages. Groaning in frustration you reach out to grab your phone from your bedside table and look to see what is happening.
Your phone lights up to reveal a spam load of messages from San and one from Seonghwa.
[7:02am from San] Good morning (Y/N)!
[7:03am from San] Are you awake?
[7:03am from San] I’m sorry if I have woken you up. I miss you!
[7:10am from San] Ok I guess you are still asleep.
[7:10am from San] phone me when you wake up!
You smile to yourself as you read through the messages, San’s clingyness making you feel warm inside. Before calling him you decide to read Seonghwa’s message.
[7:08am from Seonghwa] Hi, just wanted to tell you to be over for lunch, we are all going to spend the afternoon together before the end of the bet.
You quickly type a responce to Seonghwa to let him know you will be over and then press the call button to phone San.
He answers after the second ring and you chuckle under your breath at thinking he must have been waiting for your call.
“Someone’s finally awake. How did you sleep?” San sassily answers the phone.
“Hey! It’s only twentie past 7, you haven’t had to wait that long for me to reply. And I slept very well thank you.” You laugh back and shift around in bed to sit in a more comfortable position.
“You’re still in bed aren’t you?” San sassily remarks as he hears the duvet move around in the background.
“Nooooo.” You try to cover up the truth and San responds with a laugh.
“Anyway, I have some very important information to tell you.” San suddenly becomes serious and you hum to let him know you are listening.
“So I overheard Hongjoong and Yunho talking last night after you left about a plan they have to win the bet. I didn’t catch all of it but I heard something about tricking you into loosing.” San explains and you feel a lump form in your throat from nerves, a gasp leaving your lips in responce.
“So that’s why they were both so cocky yesterday! I knew something was off I just couldn’t put my finger on it.” You state in slight annoyance at not noticing sooner.
“Yeah, I could sense something was going on but I didnt click until I overheard their conversation. Which is why I have a plan, so when you come over later we’ll discuss it.” San informs you and you smile at knowing he is on your side.
“You’re gonna help me? But don’t you want to win with the guys?” You question in slight surprise.
“I’m always on your side cutie. And I’m also gonna get Mingi to help us out too.” San adds softly, you can practically hear his soppyness through the phone.
“Ok, well I’ve got to start getting ready. I’ll see you later.” You conclude before San says goodbye and you end the call.
You huff as you stay sat in bed for a minute thinking over all the information you have just found out. Today is going to be very interesting.
~~~~
The front door to the dorms swings open to reveal an excited looking Wooyoung.
“(Y/N)!” Wooyoung exclaims as he pulls you into a hug.
“Hey Woo, whats got you so excited?” You giggle as you are released from his hold.
“Can’t I just be excited to see my favourite person? Speaking of, I’m yours right?” You playfully roll your eyes at him but decide to humour him anyway.
“Uhuh, sure.” You say and pat his head affectionately before walking past him into the dorm.
As you enter the kitchen you find Jongho and Yeosang sitting at the table while a stressed looking Seonghwa rushes about preparing lunch.
“Hey guys. Seonghwa do you want any help?” You ask in slight concern at his flushed face.
“I’m actually almost done, but thank you for the offer.” Seonghwa reply’s quickly, his focus on the food never faltering.
Just as you are about to join Jongho and Yeosang at the table you are engulfed in a back hug, slightly making you jump.
“(Y/N), you’re here!” Mingi says happily and you giggle as he lets go of you and drags you by your arm out of the kitchen.
You are pulled into his bedroom where San is already sat on one of the beds waiting for you both.
Upon seeing you, San stands up and approaches you, his arms instantly landing on your waist as he greets you with a warm, affectionate smile.
“Hey.” He beams down at you. You stare back up at him, a soft “Hey” sounding back.
“Ugh. Can you guys stop being so mushy and focus.” Mingi whines as he falls back on his bed dramatically.
“Fine.” San rolls his eyes as he lets go of you and ushers you to sit down next to him.
“So what’s your plan?” You question as you look between both boys, devilish smirks on both of their faces at just the mention of revenge.
“Well, we thought it would be a good idea to beat them at their own game. In order to do this you need to figure out who they think your favourite is and then trick them.” San explains and you nod, multiple questions forming in your mind.
“But what if they are wrong in the first place?” You ask with a puzzled look as Mingi chuckles.
“Well I did some snooping around and found that they both think your favourite is either San or Jongho.” Mingi looks at you in amusement and you only blush in responce.
“Interesting.” You mumble feeling San’s gaze from your side, a deep red covering your cheeks.
“Awe look, (Y/N) is blushing.” San giggles as he takes your hand in his and intertwines your fingers.
“So how are we going to trick them then?” You finally meet San’s eyes.
“We have to make them think they are wrong. Which means mind games.” San clarifies.
“Well Seonghwa said that he thinks my favourite could be Mingi so maybe we could play on that?” You suggest thinking back on your coffee day with Seonghwa.
“Oh we are ahead of you already. This morning we put step one in action.” Mingi confidently informs to which you become confused at once again.
“We told the guys that we overheard you talking on the phone about the bet and that you know they will never guess it’s Mingi.” San fills in the gaps, sensing your confusion by Mingi’s lack of explaining.
“And that worked?” San nods with a chuckle at your surprise.
“Yeah, Hongjoong looked really confused. So now is time for step two of the plan.” San answeres you.
You feel a little nervous as to what you’re going to have to do, but you are putting all your trust in the hands of San and Mingi. You just hope it all pays off.
~~~~
After having a lovely meal prepared by Seonghwa you decide to get on with the next part of the plan.
Step two is about to begin, all you have to do is try and be convincing enough that Mingi is your favourite.
As you walk into the living room you spot Yunho slouched across the sofa intensely staring at his phone.
“Ready to loose tonight?” You put on a confident expression as you gain his attention.
“No, I’m pretty sure I know you’ll loose.” Yunho retorts with a sly smirk your way.
“I don’t think you really know. You see, my favourite isn’t as obvious as it seems. I mean, think about it. Do you really think I would get myself into this bet if I thought it would be easy to loose?” You sassily question as you stand up and leave the room before Yunho can speak.
Yunho looks a little stumped at your words, unvoiced questions floating around in his mind as you walk away. Now you have him exactly where you want him. You smile to yourself as you head to find San and Mingi. Ready to start the final step of the plan; the end of bet.
———————————————————————
A/N - Hey, I hope you enjoyed part 9! The reveal of the winner and who is (Y/N)’s favourite will be revealed in the final part! 😁
