THANK YOU! It's really nice to see that someone else has been feeling this way and I really begun to think deeply into why I feel like this. And you're right, it has really been since rep that it has felt... idk, less authentic.

I remember during the red and 1989 era, taylor was doing a lot of shit that actually showed how much she loved us. And by all means, she didn't have to, but it was little things such as the hidden notes in her album lyric books that made me feel a bit more connected to her. Not to mention stuff like swiftmas, the secret sessions and of course t-party all made us feel like one big family and that she was actually thankful for us. She didn't gain anything out of this, it was all "for the fans" and it made being a swiftie loads of fun, especially those hidden messages, which lbr costed nothing to keep doing. (1989 was her last i think)

Nowadays, when she does it, it feels more calculated and less authentic and I get maybe it's a safety thing that she can't do secret sessions and swiftmas etc anymore, but now even when she does things for the fans, it's stuff like releasing loads of versions of the one album so we all buy it (see, the midnight clock), and because we have this relationship we built up with her, we feel we owe our loyalty. It feels like she does these things to show she cares, but she wants our money in return. And believe me, there's other ways you can show it. The wiping of her social media defs slightly killed her authenticity, I think. Even though I understand why she did it, it certainly didnt help her relationship with the fans or it's authenticity. I do believe she still is thankful for us, but I can't help but notice the business aspect creeping in, and I just wish a lot of swifties knew you don't have to buy in to it. She's human, she has flaws, you don't have to always defend her, or buy her merch. It's almost business at this point, and I hate it.

Hello, idk if you have been asked this already, but do you think Gunn made it clear that Gamora is not a guardian despite her understanding Groot? And do you think that he made it clear in the movie (and on his tweet) that Gamora and Peter are never getting together at some point despite her understanding why she fell in love with him? I have seen some people claim she doesnt like him nor the guardians, and that Peter doesnt love this Gamora because its not his.

honestly? looking at just the movie by itself, without everything happening irl, i don't think there's enough there to 100%, beyond a shadow of a doubt, prove or disprove gamora being a guardian. i do think the film asserts gamora is at "home" somewhere else now with the way the clip of her reuniting with the ravagers was included in the dog days are over sequence, seemingly to parallel it with mantis and peter leaving the gotg. (also this isn't fully related but i don't think we've ever gotten to see gamora have a group hug with the gotg or emote that way with them and i'm salty lol but 4 years passing offscreen before her death will do that to ya i guess)

i've also seen some ppl interpret the photo of everyone at the end as kind of a Look, She's Still One of Them In-Universe moment, but tbh that photo was giving me cast's last hoorah on their final project in this franchise together Ever more than any kind of message abt the in-universe character relationships. it was giving "omg it's everyone's last day on set in costume together!" rather than canon family photo to me. and i mean gunn may be detailed in his work but he isn't taylor swift lol. we aren't playing 3d chess to decode secret meta messages abt the canon through easter eggs here

standing by itself, again, i think the movie is left pretty open-ended, aside from peter returning in some form without the others in the future, but let's revisit That Tweet again for the sake of this ask:

gunn is saying "you are 100% correct" to op interpreting the film as "quill accepting she isn't his gamora and leting go, while gamora understands how she was able to fall in love with him." i don't think this statement or the storyline suggested in the statement can fully prove or disprove whether peter and this gamora would ever fall in love in the future for certain, but it sounds like gunn probably had no plans to ever put them back together romantically - at least, not with this gamora. (but considering gamora and the rest of the gotg are done in the mcu but peter will be continuing solo in whatever form that takes, i think it's fair to say canon starmora is probably just going to remain a thing of the past)

and to make it clear, i Do think this was a solid arc for peter with This gamora considering the circumstances that vol 3 takes place within. it felt natural and like a rly good approach to grief, which i respected. if starmora had to get some sort canon send-off after one of them died, this was a pretty strong one to me.

the "you are 100% correct" part of this tweet with its implications for starmora was honestly never even part of my focus on or questions abt this tweet personally - it was the "real family" part that had me kinda ??????

bc i think that vibes kinda weirdly with the note the film ends on, since it seemed a lot more open-ended than gamora having a Real or Unreal family. and like i said before, it's the use of "real" here that sets up this binary of Real and Unreal Family or Real and Less Real family, and i think it's more than fair for gotg fans to not respond to the implied binary here very positively! and once we start connecting the irl dots of gunn's tweet with things like the gamora merch situation, the picture it starts to paint does not seem to favor gamora being A Member Of The GotG(TM)

but again, now that most of our gotg canon is done for good in the mainline mcu, i don't think we'll ever have a for-sure answer here one way or another, aside from whatever comes from peter's supposed future appearances

The Promise Falls series by Linwood Barclay! It’s a trilogy, and every single book is written so it shows the perspective of literally every member of a small town as horrible events are happening in said town, and to/with each individual member. It’s all incredibly action packed/compelling, and it feels incredibly fast paced even though barely a week passes in each book. There’s a hell of a lot of violence/sex/death in them, be warned, but it’s done tastefully/to move the plot forward rather than violence/sex/death for the point of violence/sex/death. I’ve read the first two, and I’ve been trying and failing to read the third for months because of mental/physical health nonsense. (If I say any more I’m gonna ramble so I’ll stop here)

5. Do you believe in aliens or ghosts?

Yeah! I’m uncertain about ghosts as being super powerful though, I think of them more as Ghost Adventures kind of stuff.

My intelligence. I know that sounds egotistical, but I pride myself on my ability to learn/process/apply new information, and my ability to quickly change my beliefs based on new evidence. I always try to balance it with kindness and understanding, though, because being unkind with your intelligence makes you a worse and less intelligent human and I don’t want to be either of those things.

Which is fine, I’m not complaining, I don’t need a better one, and I’ve been telling her that and she won’t listen soooo eh.)

I used to play trumpet from 5th-9th grade, but I was uhhhh bad. I have a (very broken down) electronic piano that I mess with from time to time, but I don’t actually know how to play other than a few basic chords. (I can play Lion’s beginning, though!)

LWYMMD Obviously a bop. I see why it’s in the middle of the album and when Taylor explained the progression of the songs this really makes a lot of sense. I’m just feeling fragile bc Taylor swift grabbed me by my cheeks, pulled me towards her, grabbed my hands, and danced with me during this song. Wow BABY I GOT MINE BUT YOU’LL ALL GET YOURS!!! NEW YEARS DAY So here it is girlies….the most hyped song on the record…… Live piano. Minimal production. The concept behind this is so adorable “Candlewax and polaroids on the hard wood floor….” the most Taylor swift thing I have ever heard This relationship really seems like its forever my dudes she’s in it for the long run. She has never been so confident in a relationship that she’s CURRENTLY IN. She’s opening up DURING a relationship which is like……basically unheard of for her I love how subtle this is….the harmonies on the second chorus….crying in the club again “Hold on to the memories they will hold onto you…..” she said she's had that line ready to go for a while but couldn't find a place for it and here it is being adorable and wonderful also the line “Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I can recognize anywhere” Can I just speak on that line again….it is so beautiful and simple and shows how much she’s been through and the pain she has dealt with….and the sadness she KNOWS………..but she’s okay enough to talk about it. omg. i don't even talk to most of the ppl i used to have ships with which tbh, makes me cry. but i can give u a list, definitely! (btw these are in no particular order, i love them all sm they're not more important than the other) 

katelyn cole (zoey deutch) & alex wood (aaron taylor-johnson) (aka katelex) this was one of my first ever ships? and in retrospect, not a gr8 ship because it was super toxic and abusive, tbh. that's not the part of the ship i miss, though. they had a really cute daughter together & i miss the moments they were with lexi. i also just really miss that feeling? being on the edge of your seat, loving a ship so damn much. so i guess i just miss the excitement of having that first intense ship more than the actual ship.

maisie pritchett (maia mitchell) & baz payne (justin bieber) (aka baisie) this was one of the most amazing experiences in my rp career because of the rp this was in, tbh. so like... this one was a rlly weird ship? i guess it was more of a br(otp). they were super angsty exes that always broke my heart. baz was played by the amazing @mlkhoney who honestly amazed everyone with him. they were nearly always fighting but they had glimmering moments where they were friends & they had rlly, rlly small romantic moments. i can't fully explain it, but i miss them sm.

gianna pope (zoey deutch) & austin powell (colton haynes) (aka austanna) #tbt to kingsley, aka one of the most amazing experiences of my entire life. i had this amazing ship with an amazing person (i haven't talked to her in literally YEARS) but basically, i had this rlly rough, military brat character & he was kind of a cute, funny guy, but also v stubborn. and like... they hated each other. but they hated school more. so they ran away together for a weekend (literally just out of opportunity bc they hated each other) and slowly fell in love. basically, they still slay my damn heart. to this very day.

veronica king-royal (zoey deutch) & checkers royal (marlon teixeira) (aka veckers) so i joined this rp back in 2015, berwick, & met some rlly rad people in there (one of them being @lorinhale) these two started as a complete coincidence in a supernatural rp (she was a vampire, he was a hunter). then we made like, a billion & one aus with them and they're just rlly sexual, yet always goofy? like... they just love to love each other & their kids (they have four all together). and just!!!!!!! i love them sm.
