It's official. I have finished The Sunshine Court. I have so many things to say and yet have no idea what to possibly say. It was perfect. I took my niece to the park and this little boy (older then her) shoved past her on the obstacle course rope ultimately pushing her off.

I was like oh fuck here come the water works. But no she got up, dusted her dress of and at the top of her tiny little lungs called him a prick.

🤣🤣🤣 I almost wet myself laughing. His mum was like "did your daughter just call my son a prick" i wasnt sure what to do for a second but my brain to mouth filter died and i was already responding with

"first of all thats my neice, second of all your son is a little prick." She froze, i froze like wtf just came out of my mouth and then my niece broke the tension by holding my hand looking up at me sweetly "he really is isnt he aunty, can we get sweets?"

Fuck yes we can quick lets go. And then spent the walk home bribing her with sweets from the shop, making her promise not to tell mummy that i let her swear. Or that i agreed with her.
