Sands of Mart feels like noxcrew realized players were refusing to play buildmart and the solution was to deprive them of SOT for 2 MCCs in a row to get them desperate for it and then hide buildmart in SOT to trick them into playing it. It feels like hiding a dog’s pills inside a treat to get them to eat it.

Honestly the debate surrounding build mart is so interesting to me bc it’s a very clear divide between fans of the dsmp circle and fans of the hermitcraft circle, w the dsmp side being made up of mostly mcyts who excel at pvp and parkour and the hermitcraft side being made up of mostly people who excel at building and team-based games, obviously there are people on both sides who are the opposite or excel at both but overall the reason why you never see complaints about build mart from people who are fans of the hermitcraft circle is because their streamers are both good at the game and fun to watch during it, meanwhile streamers in the dsmp circle tend to be stressed and complain during it because that’s not where they excel

I feel like it’s also somewhat interesting because it shows the difference between both servers, with the dsmp being focused on mcrp with war and pvp, many of the server members focus a lot on survival, speedrunning, etc over building, whereas hermitcraft is more of a building server with less of a focus on mcrp (though they do still rp on occasion) and very little war or pvp, the members are all skilled builders and redstoners and the server itself is full of fun minigames and challenges that the hermits come up with for each other, not to mention it’s also pretty focused on teamwork and communication

Anyway in no way is this a diss on either server, I love both of them, I just thought this was an interesting way to look at it I guess and I feel like it’s unfair to say a game should be cut entirely from mcc because your faves don’t excel at it

Not having Buildmart really did something weird because we pink viwers aren't really happy and hilariously the Dreams viwers aren't happy also because they wanted a MCC without Buildmart when Dream is playing, and right when Dream leaves there's no Buildmart.

Literally I haven't seen anyone happy about it and despite being sad because I wanted to see Buildmart I can't help but find it funny how this kinda fucked both the Buildmart lovers and the Buildmart haters, something I never thought possible.
