Would anyone be interested in a Taylor/Travis inspired Buddie fic?

Eddie would be the pop star, and he’s on his biggest tour ever following the release of an album that he wrote about losing Shannon. He produces music in a bunch of different styles but always has some good songs to dance too and can show off his moves (cause I can’t help but picture Ryan Guzman in step up… ugh don’t mind me drooling over him for a sec). Christopher is on tour with him, but they have a house in LA when they aren’t touring. Oh, and how bodyguards are Tommy and Lena, and Athena is his manager/publicist.

Buck is a TE or WR for the LA Chargers, and a podcast with his former teammate/brother in law, Chimney, called the 118 (Chimney was number 1 when he played and Buck is number 18). Bobby is the head coach of the team, Hen is the team’s athletic trainer, and Maddie works for the team’s Social Media/marketing. Ravi is the new young QB fresh out of college, and and Albert is the intern on the 118 podcast.

Buck, who is the fair openly bi player in the NFL, went to one of Eddie’s concerts at SoFi Stadium, and talked about the show on his podcast with Chimney, and openly admitted that he wished he could’ve met Eddie. He openly talks about his celebrity crush on Eddie on air, and the clip, which was supposed to be an ad, blows up all over the internet, and Eddie can’t help but see it.

Eddie, who is gay (but not out to the public), sees the clip and is talking about with Tommy and Lena, and Christopher who is 10 and eavesdropping because he just wands his dad to be happy again, talks about maybe calling up Buck. And well, you know how it’s gonna go from there…. Well, maybe with a few tricks and embellishments up my sleeve.

Okay but Superhero Buddie au anyone? Where Superhero Buck saves a new to town investigative journalist Eddie and his son from an accident. And then after that keeps popping up anytime Eddie's in a sticky situation despite Eddie being grumpy about it. Eddie hates Superhero! Buck. But he does think the absolutely clumsy and golden retriever energy reporter Buck is cute as hell. He shamelessly flirts with him while Buck is trying not to hyperventilate because he doesn't know how to tell him that he's the superhero Eddie hates so much. Christopher adores both Superhero Buck and regular Buck of course.

Oh man, I keep thinking about a Buddie reality show AU, but not a dating show, oh no.

I want a Buddie The Traitors AU (if you haven’t watch the traitors you should btw - I love the UK and NZ version the most but there’s also a US and Australian version).

The traitors is game where they bring like 20 people to a house/castle and pick 3-4 of them to be “traitors” and the traitors murder the other contestants each night. The other contestants are “the faithful” and every day they have a chance to vote someone out, but they run the risk of voting out a faithful. It’s super fun and chaotic.

During the game they also complete challenges to earn money toward the prize fund. Typically the challenges are a mix of physical and mental, so you get a wide variety of people on the show. In the UK version there was a 70something woman and she was so great.

Anyway, I just love the idea of Buck and Eddie trying to solve the mystery of who the trailers while avoiding drawing attention to themselves so they aren’t “murdered” by the traitors. They’re both really liked in the house because Buck is full of random facts and Eddie is always willing make a funny, dry comment.

They end up falling for each other over their conspiring and the games they’re playing, but the big reason they fall for each other is because they’re always picked to do the physical challenges because they’re big and strong and reckless. They end up jumping out of a helicopter into a lake for a task and have so much fun that they almost hook up at the house after, but someone walks in and ruins the moment.

Maybe they end up actually hooking up after the “buried alive” task where Eddie is buried and almost has a panic attack because it reminds of something that happened in the army and Buck hears it over the raison and runs ahead and ends up digging him up with his bare hands instead of waiting for the rest of their team mates to make it to the spot. By the time the rest of their team gets there they find Eddie still half in the coffin with Buck on top of him, fully making out.

They end up winning the show and finding the final traitor (it’s Karen, she’s so good at the game) and Buck tries to give Eddie his share of the winnings for Chris, but instead Eddie asks if Buck wants to share the winnings together and to move in with him. They realized a few days into the game that they’re both LAFD and it’s kind of crazy they hasn’t met yet.

The fans LOVE them and are rooting for them the entire show. They can’t reveal that they’re actually together publicly until after the show finishs airing.

A few weeks after filming ends, Eddie walks into the 118 for his first shift after transferring from station 6. They keep their relationship a secret, but they’re so bad at hiding it.

The entire team makes fun of them for how they got together when the show comes out, but they all secretly think it’s super cute.

Buddie fic idea:

Eddie is planning his wedding (with Ana or Shannon or someone), but the person he’s marrying doesn’t really want to have any input so he asks Buck (who is also his best man) to help with planning stuff. They go to cake/food/wine tastings, flower pickings, suit fittings, venue touring, etc together. People think Buck is the one Eddie is marrying and they stop correcting people. Eddie starts realizing he’s in love with Buck but he’s still planning this wedding and there’s a bunch of angst because Buck is in love with Eddie and he can’t help his best friend/love of his life plan the wedding anymore because it felt too real and he wanted it to be real, so he drops out of the wedding, asks Bobby for a transfer to another station, and thinks about leaving LA. Eddie waits for Buck to show up on the morning of the wedding, but he doesn’t, and so Eddie has to choose between getting married or running after Buck. We all know what he chooses.

I haven't written fic in quite some time (most of that is due to not having much free time anymore), but I have this idea for a Buddie fic that's just burrowed its way into my brain that I can't shake.

I want to write Buck as an LAPD rookie, and Eddie's timeline begins a little earlier...

I like the idea of Athena taking Buck under her wing a little bit, her being even more of a mama bear to him, and him having a found family that's a little more separate from Eddie's. But then they all come together... There's a lot still to work out in terms of the details, but god, in my mind, it's very good.

Fic idea!!!

Somehow Eddie and Buck get drugged like s4 ep6 and they’re really flirty towards each other or proclaiming their love and the 118 think they missed Buddie getting together so they have a lil celebration dinner at the station and are congratulating Eddie and Buck on finally getting together and they’re like “what? :D” and the others are like “you aren’t together? Wtf???” So then they have to explain why they thought they were, queue a very flustered and blushing Buddie. Then maybe they do or don’t confess to each other later that night after they’ve tucked Chris into bed and are in the kitchen together cleaning up after dinner, with buck washing the dishes and Eddie drying/ putting them away. Then perhaps they fall asleep on the couch cuddled up together watching a film like Glass Onion or something (because the couch theory is everything to me)

6B/7A theory/hope/wish for the BEST possible solution for this whole sperm donor story line that still gives us Buddie.

I’ve touched on this in a previous post, but I think that something is going to happen to Cameron when she is giving birth and she is going to die, and Connor (who is freaking out already about being a parent), will decide he can’t parent alone. Therefore, he is going to safe haven baby style drop off his son (Buck’s biological son) at the 118 (probably with Ravi) with a note and paperwork that gives Buck full parental rights over the baby.

Now, to add to that. I also am under the impression that Buck’s loft is going to be crushed in an earthquake during 6x18. With Kristen saying the couch is in danger (which I think Eddie will also be in danger during the finale, physical couch can be too), I see an earthquake destroying the loft. Buck is essentially homeless at this point, although Eddie tells him that he can stay with him while he is trying to find another place.  

However, when Buck gets the baby, he goes over to Eddie’s because he’d freaking out (and can’t go to the loft). Sitting on the couch, holding the baby, he’s talking to Eddie about how he is unprepared to be a father. Eddie kneels in front of him, places a hand on his knee and assures him that he is going to be a great father because he already is one, to Chris. He also tells Buck that he doesn’t have to do this alone, and that Buck can move in with him, and they can raise the baby together (like they have already been raising Chris together). Buck tries to insist that he doesn’t need to do that, but Eddie tells him something along the lines of, “Buck, remember when you said I could have your back? This is me doing that.”

So 6B ends with Eddie and Chris making dinner while Buck is rocking the baby on the couch, Buck looking at them with the fondest look on his place, telling the baby that he thinks he finally found his couch. So no confirmed Buddie yet, but we know it's coming.

Flash forward while I throw some 7A speculation in there for you. 7A Buddie opens with the baby screaming, Buck and Eddie are in bed together, groaning about whose turn it is to get the baby. It’s been months of raising the baby and dealing with new parenting. This kid of parenting being new to both of them since Eddie missed most of Chris’s early days due to the army. Chris, from the other rooms yells back “I don’t care who’s turn it is, just one of you get him so I can sleep!” Eddie eventually gets up to get the baby. At the firehouse, both Buck and Eddie come in exhausted, and the team remarks on how the baby is still not sleeping through the night. Remarks about HenRen and Madney, and Bathena about them remembering when their kids were young and not doing that, some other line about them being young and newly married with this too (Bathena (with their first marriages), and maybe HenRen).  

Also in this episode, you have scenes where Eddie and Buck are constantly being pulled around the house to help with the new baby, Chris is getting annoyed each time because it happens while Buck is helping him with science project, or Eddie is playing a game with him while Buck is cooking dinner, etc. Either way, Chris is growing resentful at the baby and making comments about it throughout the episode. At first Buddie thinks that it’s just Chris being a teenager, but at some point in the episode, Chris snaps completely telling him how he hates the new baby because Buck and Eddie don’t have time for him anymore. “Buck moving in was supposed to be the greatest news ever. But all It is *baby name* this and *baby name* that! You’re both so focused on the baby that neither of you have time for me anymore!” Then we get Buddifer family chat where Buck and Eddie talk to Chris about the new baby and apologize for letting the stress of the new baby get to them, and how they never meant to make Chris feel like they don’t have time for him, or possibly are replacing him.

Also, with some season 7A speculation about Buddie. If it follows this story line, we also have the team significantly making comments about how Buddie is living together, raising two kids together, but aren’t married. “You’re living together, sharing a bed, parenting not one but two kids together, and you’re not in a relationship? I mean come on; you’re married in every way except legally!” This becomes a huge set of comments throughout 7A and by the midseason finale I think we get Buddie actually talking about it and then we get the love confession, and possibly a shotgun courthouse wedding that we probably only know about because Buddie waltzes in to the kitchen at the firehouse and drops off HR paperwork in Bobby’s lap before getting their own breakfast off the island. Then of course, we have a bet reveal where Hen wins, because logically who else is gonna win it? If there is no wedding, then at least we get happy Buddie for 7B.

There. Done.

I’m thinking about making a fic of this because while I love this and want this, I am not delusional and know this will likely never happen. Anyone interested if I can actually get the words from my brain to the word document?

• or established, buck/eddie is a photographer and the other talks about wanting to do a boudoir shoot and they make it happen for the other person

wait this is random but i just had an idea for a fic and it's a little out of my comfort zone

buck has this ability to travel to different time eras but he's never been able to control when/where he goes and he's never really minded because it's cool! and he likes adventure! and y'know, he gets to learn a lot of cool stuff!

but then he meets eddie on one of this time travel trips and now he desperately needs how to go back at that specific time period! bc eddie was so !!! and he had an adorable son and buck just wants to exist at the same time they do!

or like, buck is from the past and accidentally time travels to the present. he decides to stay in the present with eddie.

(either buck is from the PAST past like very very old???? kinda like pride and prejudice time period and he could be so confused by the future and stuff???

This idea unfolded before my eyes when I saw this ask, so heres a small outline:

In this particual AU Maddie moved to LA before Buck, and he's still drifting around a little, when Jee is born and her PPD gets bad Chim calls him as backup, so it's not really a vacation but he wasn't meant to stay in LA long, just until Maddie felt better.

Eddie runs a bookshop, it was Isabel's before she retired, and when Eddie was struggling in El Paso she told him to just come home and take over the store, he's been so happy since he did so, and now that it's been a few years since he's settled in LA he feels like something is missing (and his aunt keeps setting him up in dates that really don't click with him)

Then one day Buck walks into his bookshop looking for some baby books for Jee, and Eddie just, has never seen someone so beautiful, he turns into a dissaster gay right away, stuttering while talking to Buck, blushing at his casual flirting, etc etc.

Buck keeps coming back, Eddie think he gonna lose his mind.

Until Buck admits here's only here for a while, and all of Eddie's hopes die.

Still, they some how grow closer, even with Eddie's resistance, and Eddie's fighting the urge to ask him to stay, to ask him to be with Eddie.

But Eddie can't do that, so they're just pining for the other at his point.

It reachs a point where Maddie is doing better, and she tells her free spirit Brother to go back to his life.

and Buck, well, he's been thinking about settling down, he's tired of having adventures but always being alone, and when he pictures his future it isn't traveling around, it's right here in LA, in a small bookstore owner and his kid.

Instead of getting in the highway he goes to Eddie, and tells him to ask him to stay and he'll do it.

Eddie does.
