Something that sticks in my craw

Back when instigators were running around cancelling people for enjoying FNAF stuff because Scott Cawthon dared to support political candidates they didn’t approve of.

These are the sort of people that will unironically bawl about the Red Panic and the public’s response to it by blackballing people from work and the industry for being members of or advocates for the communist party. You self-righteous, hypocritical little shits. You certainly will lean on the, “It’s what THE PEOPLE want” angle when you can browbeat and impose organized social pressure to ruin peoples reputations and make them save face by doing what you want, but when the boot is on the other foot you’re moaning all about the injustice and illegitimacy of it all.

You certainly would notice if people started blackballing those that voted for socialist or communist candidates, or their policies, or donated to inconvenient political groups that certain folks would not approve of.

Using the mob and the ability to manipulate large crowds of braying sheep to punish people by proxy is probably the most cowardly, bitchery thing that can be done in the human sphere, and these people act like they’re the only ones where such cult-like behavior is legitimate, solely because they’re not doing it on behalf of a theocracy. This is a pattern of self-delusion borderling on psychopathy that has followed the Red Revolution since its earliest days. “This incorrigible behavior of violence (real or implied) and intimidation is okay when I do it, because I’m not doing it on behalf of a religion, race or formal nationstate. Thus it doesn’t apply to me.”

Just remember that what you do to others can very easily also be done to you. And if you think you can just draw off and kick people you feel like it whenever you want, brother, I don’t know the maximum size of boot that’ll fit up your ass before your bowels rip like an overfilled balloon, but it can be found. You want the more right leaning to see this as a viable tactic to shutting out people that vote socialist/communist/even shades of left from the industries, “encouraging” businesses to only hire milquetoast liberals, non-partisans and conservatives? This is the road you travel to get it.

And I say this as someone that thinks boycotting entertainment that isn’t produced by studios deliberately making slanted, political products as a platform for ideology, is bad. Trying to get people to not consume Little Emil’s Kite Flying Adventure book because the creator said a slur once and votes for BadMan is some low shit.
